Im surprised at the number of positive reviews for this establishment. I went in for an alignment based on those reviews for my lifted and modified truck and came out with the worst alignment Ive ever gotten. The truck didnt drive straight and you could literally see the wheels out of alignment. The tech mentioned after he got done that he doesnt work on lifted and modified trucks!! Why couldnt you tell me that before you jacked my truck all up? Stay away!!! This place is mad shady and I wouldnt even send my enemies here.

They took good care of me! They were quick, they let me know what was going on every step of the way which I really appreciated and they charged a reasonable amount. I was dreading getting my brakes fixed but these guys did an awesome job.

Brought a truck to them to align. It is an older ford TTB which most alignment shops have a hard time aligning and actively push away or charge more to align. I asked in advance if it was something they had experience working on or were set up to do and they said they did and could get it in next day no problem. I came back the next day and they had someone start working on it right away which was great. I was able to watch from outside. After about an hour they say its ready and I get my final spec sheet. After a short review I have to question why the caster and camber is exactly the same in the before and after? The front office lady led me outside to the tech and when I question him about it he looks at me like a deer in the headlights.. Tyrone, the more experienced of the two there comes over and tells the tech that yes theres caster and camber alignment on this vehicle and they need to be set. I had to point out where the alignment for that was. After informing the tech of this Tyrone helps him out as he is in training. At this point I dont have the confidence in the shop and my expectations completely dropped. When he finally finished he backed it off the ramp and there were tools still hanging on the front end! I had to wave at him to stop so the tools wouldnt cause damage. It was a mess. Prior to the alignment I asked for a brake bleed. The tech who performed the alignment also performed the brake bleed. He was absolutely lost on how the pneumatic bleeder worked or how far the bleeder screws came out. Once he got it working he almost bled the master completely dry. Tyrone caught it in time and filled it. By the time I left I just wanted out of there. The truck pulled hard to the right and the steering wheel was laughably off. I called the shop back and schedule another appointment for the next day. Tyrone was the one who worked on it next. He came as close as he could the getting it aligned. In the end the cross caster was far more positive on the left side causing it to drift right. Tyrone explained that the tire wear would not be affected but there would be a drift. He did not seem interested in solving the issue by installing sleeves but instead gave me thats just the way it is speech. Its never easy find an alignment shop but this place was an absolute joke. Never again. Burned $211 to let absolute amateurs work on my truck.I wound up taking it back to a shop in Houston where they aligned it perfectly first try. Yup, Houston..Because Austin doesnt have knowledgeable alignment techs for anything other than basic front ends.

Super friendly and gave me the best deal out of all the other shops I tried. Talked me through exactly what needed to be done and how much it was going to be. Never tried to overcharge me, mechanics you can trust!

Ive had several good experiences with Austins Alignments and Brakes. Most recently, I took my 2007 Ford in for a front-end alignment after I just purchased new tires, and after 10 minutes, Traci brought in a printout of my alignment, telling /showing me all adjustments (caster/camber/toe) were in specification and no alignment was needed. She sent me on my way with no charge. On an earlier visit (several years ago), this shop quickly and accurately performed a non-standard 4-wheel alignment for a very affordable price. Go to this shop.

Mrs Tracey and Rene are the best!!! Very friend knowledgeable, kind and HONEST. Highly recommended. I had a rim that needed to be replaced they sent me up the road and made sure the place took great care of me. Lifetime customer of this place for sure.

I went here to get my brakes checked and they said that all of my brakes were bad and needed to be replaced as soon as possible. They said that it would be $800+ for everything, I decided to get a second opinion and both other places said that only my front brakes needed replacing and that my back brakes were still in great shape. This place just wants your money and they will make you spend more than you should.

Based on reviews I decided to try them out. Great service. I did have to make an appointment, apparently others have had a good experience and they are busy. But took in my car at the appointment time and within 30 minutes they called with suggested repairs and they were exactly what I expected. Called back in less than two hours with the work done. Price was as quoted and very reasonable. Will certainly use them again. Friendly, honest, and good price.

Best car-repair experience Ive ever had. Youll see right away why these guys have such stellar reviews on all websites. Matt was the best mechanic Ive encountered - he was skilled, prompt, honest, polite, and have great customer skills, which a lot of mechanics these days lack. I got my car fixed up just the way I wanted within the exact time period Matt estimated in the beginning. I wont be going anywhere else for my car problems now.

Although they look fine with their job, I was charged here for an estimation with my brake/rotor changes(yes, an estimation with specific parts). I called them to show up and let them give me an estimation for my rotor change. When I show up, they said they will be able to take my car next day. I went there next day, there was another lady, I told them about the problem(when braking, steering wheel is shaking) and I told them also the exact problem, one of the rotors need to be replaced. After 40 minutes, they show up with an estimation, mentioning rotors and pads(which are need to be changed by rotors) need to be changed, and didn’t tell me exact one or set(like front/back) and they charged me +$50 for that estimation, without informing/asking to me. They said they can change the front rotors first, try and change the back rotors after that. I was shocked for the estimation charge, because they exactly said what I say to them and charged me, but paid and left. It was happened March 2018, not able to write it since now. There was a lady over there, was saying they can sleep peacefully because of not overcharging customers. Thanks for charging me for the information that I told you when I was giving you my car key, there is a night coming that you will not be able to sleep peacefully.

I’ve been bringing in my aging Tiburon to Austin’s A& B for almost 3 years now. Listen, I’m a guy that’s not “ mechanically” inclined so I’m usually weary of any repairs because I don’t know if I’m actually getting just what I need or if I’m just being taken advantage of. No such concerns here. The owner, Matt, is fully transparent and makes time to thoroughly explain to me what the issues are and informs me of what repairs need to be addressed now or what can actually wait. Which is quite helpful for my pocketbook! Meredith in the front desk is also very acknowledgable and super helpful as well in answering any questions I have. The quality of the entire team’s work is excellent ! I highly recommend Austin’s Alignment and brakes! I enjoy doing business with good people

A local dealership told me I needed to have work done on my rotors. I took my car and Austin Break & Alignment said there was nothing wrong and didnt charge me a dime. Definitely coming back for all future work, they did a full inspection and were extremely thorough. Highly recommend them.

If you have a performance car and you want to know your alignment is done right, to the specs you want, for the right price, this is the place hands down.

The price was as quoted. They took in my car on a Saturday with no appointment. My car had a broken wheel drum, a front brake caliper which had seized, and two badly corroded wheel rotors which needed replacing. My car was ready by Monday afternoon.

This was my third visit to Matt. Previously, he replaced the brakes on my Mercedes E300. Dont be afraid to take your Mercedes to Matt. He does the job without all the drama you get from the dealers or other Mercedes shops. Matt and his team are excellent! I wish he would open another shop farther south.

I felt like I was being ripped off. They charged me $266 to replace fuse and headlights bulbs. I told them my headlight stopped working and that I had check the fuse and It didn’t seem like they were blown. All they had to do was double check the fuse box. Charged me 2 hours ($190 labor) of work that was only a 10 minute job. Would of been okay if they just charged me one hour. Also did work I didn’t not ask them to do and they charged me for the parts for that as well. They replaced my leds for my high beams which were working perfect fine. The lady at the front said “the wire on that was almost about to give up so we just replaced that as well” “well the what the wiring works on that car is both high beam and low beam come together”If this is the owner reading I can easily show you how this was only a 10 minute job. I have installed and uninstalled leds and hids in this car many time none of them too over an hour. “Removing all the wiring” takes 5 minutes and they left some behind. “Removing all the plastics” there are only 2 plastic pieces each takes no more than 20 seconds to remove.I have been here before for an diagnostics and they charged me $50 for labor and they failed to do the alignment so didn’t charge me for that. So that’s the 1 Star also google doesn’t let me give 0 stars.
