I love the location and I would’ve loved my apartment more if I wasn’t lied to about having two balconies in my apartment which is a big deal for me. Many people pay extra just to have that balcony so when I moved in and didn’t have one, I was very upset. Nor did Jason try to do anything to accommodate me for this mishap. I asked about other options that they could give me since I was lied to about having these two balconies. Honestly, I don’t respect how Jason handles things. Of course upon moving in and applying for an apartment a leasing office will be nice to you because they want you moved in to get your money, but shortly after me mentioning the problems that I SHOULD NOT be having with my apartment, (like finding a German cockroach in my living room), Jason’s attitude became very nasty and he showed his true colors. For Jason to suggest his tenants to move out of the community because of miscommunication on his end, is terrible service. The maintenance is pretty fast with work orders, some days trash aren’t being collected but a new person was hired so he’s doing way better than the last trash employee. The elevators sometimes don’t work and they go very slow. They charge $25 for you to register your car, and $25 a month just for it to be on the property every month. Also, if you forget to register your guest, and they get a boot, the front office won’t do anything to remove it. You will have to pay the booting company $75 to remove your guest boot and the office will not care. They only reason they have this boot policy into place is because there is a strip club across the street and they don’t want outsiders parking in the garage, which is understandable but it’s not fair to actual tenants that’s pay over $2000 to live here and you put boots on there guest cars. They tell you that you will only pay water charges that will be added to rent but will sneak up and add $70 sewer charges, no matter if you didn’t use that much water or not. It’s ridiculous, Jason needs to be replaced with someone who is understanding and knows how to speak to their tenants. Only reason I’m giving two stars is for the location being convenient.
It has been a very pleasurable experience living here. The staffs are nice and the amenities are in good condition and well maintained. In addition, the neighborhood is close to amenities like grocery and others, so thats an additional plus.
Malachi,Jason & the maintenance has been the most respectful & professional staff! This is not my first apartment so I really mean it. Malachi & Jason have been very caring since I first walked in and asked. The energy was very comforting. When we all spoke they talked to me like they truly do care about what I wanted and would make sure I got it.Maintenance- very professional and fast. One time I need a small problem fixed and but in a ONLINE work order 20 minutes before the office opened and they came up soon as they opened. Most apartments have you waiting days to get back to you or months. Well at Berkeley heights you won’t ever have to stalk the leasing office for maintenance services. The rent prices match everything. I haven’t had one real problem in my apartment since I moved in
I appreciate the changes that are taking place around the community. Most importantly I appreciate the staff when it comes to their hard work. Since Jason has been here the leasing office has done a complete 360 and his team including Bailey has changed my outlook from where I once was. I’m much happier living here now. The communication is incredibly better and I give them all a thumbs up!
Application process was easy. Apartment checked out great upon move in. Cierra has really been a huge help with my transition and her customer service is outstanding.
The office and maintenance staff truly make my living experience nothing short of amazing. Pros and cons come with the territory of apartment living, but I can honestly say that they work hard to ensure that my expectations are not only met but are exceeded.Whenever I have an issue, it’s addressed promptly and efficiently. The aura in the office is great as they always speak and are genuinely concerned about residents’ satisfaction.
One of the best places I have ever lived! Beautiful community with all of the updates to the complex and the staff is always nice and helpful! Location was perfect for me, just close enough to the city but not too far away. Wonderful place to call home.
I’ve been a Berkeley Heights for a very long time and have experienced different management changes, which also includes maintenance. I can’t say enough good things about Cris. Always friendly and if you mention something to him that needs attention, he gets it done right away. He is the grounds keeper, so I see more of what is going on outside. He is definitely better than all the other groundskeepers. Someone should take note, so we don’t lose him.If you don’t understand groundskeepers clean up trash, your dogs mess that you should pick up, sweeping or mopping the pollen away, or blowing leaves during autumn. He cleans the garage as well as the indoor hallways and the outside grounds.Kudos to Cris!I know the other maintenance staff works just as hard, but they are fixing things usually in your apartment, I just don’t see them as often because I rarely need them.
Do not listen to the dramatically negative reviews, this place is not the most dangerous pace to live, the maintenance requests are incredibly easy to submit and they fix things quickly, the parking is great, the apartments are big, the staff is super friendly, the location is close to a ton of stuff, they do little community events twice a month, the near by food is really good, oh and the rent is pretty cheap as well!Update from 5 to 2 stars: my car was broken into because the security “has a shift change from midnight to 4 am?!” (Heard this is improving)We asked them to take care of the people above us for months for having parties multiple work nights a week and they never did anything about it.The elevators never worked right the entire time we were there. The gym is poorly stocked with equipment.(also heard this is improving)I could have let most of these things go but after we took care of the place for a year and then worked hard cleaning for 2 says to make sure everything looked good they nit picked everything they could to take away our deposit.Gables may be a good thing for the complex long term but so far they have earned 2 stars. All of that said, it is still a great location and convenient place to live.
Great location, awesome property amenities, and the management team is amazing!!
BH has been amazing! The office staff goes out of their way to help in any capacity. I am in a 2 bedroom 2bath and it has proven to be an amazing find. The gated parking and hallways are a bonus and the property stays clean and maintained daily.I really appreciate how the staff is always available to answer questions and has been so welcoming to the community. The maintenance crew is on top of requests and always really friendly. The shared community areas are really nice too. I look forward to a few more years here.
Ive been living here 2 weeks now and I love it! The management staff is absolutely amazing. From the moment I walked into the office wanting to tour I felt instant comfort and welcome. Arron and Jason are incredible. I work as a property manager myself, so Im pretty picky about things. The grounds and parking garage are always clean, no noise, friendly neighbors and awesome floorplans. My only complaint that kept me from rating 5 stars is there is no fiber internet available.
Ive been a resident at Berkeley Heights for six years and have enjoyed the convenience of location, amenities, and most of all the professional and caring office staff. We are now a Gables property and the management team has never been better! The property manager, Jason, is top notch. He has worked tirelessly to make Berkeley more aesthetically pleasing. We have a freshly painted exterior and breezeways are being painted and updated currently. Security is also being increased in the form of digital surveillance and security personnel. I am proud to call Berkeley home and feel valued as a resident. Thanks for six great years!
I enjoy living at BH! The property is well maintained. The office staff is friendly and informative. My apartment is beautiful and maintenance makes sure everything stays in perfect shape. Wonderful Kudos to Gables and Berkley Heights!
I’ve had a few issues living here but for the most part, I love it. Can’t beat the location & price. Also, Malachi in the front office is THE BEST. So knowledgeable & always very helpful.
Do not listen to negative reviews about office staff. Andrea && Jason are absolutely amazing went above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service throughout my entire leasing process. I am extremely excited to be a resident at this beautiful community.
7 years later I had a bitter sweet move from Berkeley Heights due to a new job offer in Maryland. While at Berkeley Heights I experienced highs and lows, but over all the management staff was caring and helpful. There will be an occasional bug, your neighbors will be loud ( aka you can hear everything through the wall), BUT the staff does care about you and your needs. The residents are friendly, the amenities are plentiful and the property is kept up nicely. It was home for 7 years and although I am happy to be moving, I was sad to leave my Berkeley Heights family. If any issues arise do not be afraid to speak your mind and enjoy the atmosphere while there.
It has been a pleaure to live here for more than one year. Bailey, Andrea and Jason are all extremely helpful. I especially recommend this for Georgia Tech students like us. Its less than 10 mins drive to campus, convenient to groceries and has easy access to 75/85.
Everyone has been AMAZING!!! Great attitudes and very helpful!!! 10 stars!!!! From the move in until now. I don’t have any complaints!!! I couldn’t ask for a better staff!!!!
Great management, super convenient place to live since its right off I-75, and overall a very enjoyable living experience.
Berkeley Heights is a great place to live! Its close to everything. Our neighbors are polite. The apartments are lovely and beautifully kept. The maintenance team is both courteous and professional and whenever there are any issues (which are pretty rare occurrences); they handle it quickly and efficiently. But the best thing about living here has to be our management team. Bailey Aguirre really stands out, as she is always friendly, welcoming, understanding and very helpful. It is clear that staff takes great pride in their work and that they really care about the experience that they provide to their residents. I hope to remain a part of this community for the duration of my time leasing in the Metro Atlanta area
Extremely loud at late night due to street racers. Management is incompetent and money hungry. Buildings not properly maintained, especially communal spaces. Really subpar apartments. Would not recommend to any one.
I have lived here for two years and I love it. The location is very good to get to all parts of Atlanta. Management is very professional but very downtown earth. They also conduct activities for the residents. Some of the neighbors are cool.
I have lived at Berkeley Heights for almost a year now (I WILL be renewing my lease).....I feel at home here. The management team is AWESOME. The reason for writing this review is to thank them for their hard work and all of their efforts. They are extremely responsive and have done a great job at making the community feel like a home. Bailey has been beyond helpful and is always courteous, she is an asset to the Berkeley Heights management team. The newest addition to the front office (I believe her name is Andrea) is extremely sweet and very informative. The team hosts monthly events to give everyone an opportunity to meet and greet and it also helps us to feel appreciated as residents; earlier this month, they hosted a pool party with a DJ, served catered bbq, provided drinks and had games for the residents. Whenever I have a maintenance request, it is handled within 24 hours. I love Berkeley Heights and am so happy with the decision that I made to move here. The apartments are modern, spacious and well-built. The community is in a great location and is close to many supermarkets, a plethora of gas stations, is located right by the highway, and minutes away from Atlantic Station, within 15 minutes away from Lenox and Perimeter Mall.....I could go on and on about the reasons why I love living here. I am looking forward to another year at home :)
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! My car was broken into for the second time while in the secured parking area, which I pay extra for every month. Four of my friends have also gotten their cars vandalized. TOTALLY UNSAFE! People have also been robbed in “secured” areas. They have gotten rid of much needed security guards and replaced them with “patrol security”. They only come when you call them. Will not be renewing lease.
Friendly serviceIt honestly doesn’t get any better than this. The staff goes above and beyond for their residents. Anything you need, they will make it happen. They are very responsive and extremely polite. I have renewed my lease here, because I know exactly what to expect. If you’re looking a place where you don’t have to worry about trivial apartment this, then Berkley is your place.
Great location! Awesome staff (Bailey, Amanda, Jim. and Keith!) You guys are awesome to be around with! Thank you all for everything!!you all make my living experience in Atlanta truly welcoming!Thank you all!
The apartment itself is pretty nice- good location, up to date finishes, and well-kept, but the management and office staff is what earned a 1 star review. The first 6 months were okay, minus the 2 armed robberies and obnoxious fire alarm that seems to go off every week. Parking is gated, though it was broken when I moved out. My water bill for the first two months was over $400 for a 650 sqft studio. I put in a work order for a potential leak since this seemed absurd and they found/fixed a leak in the toilet (maintenance staff is very nice btw). I was then told by Amanda in the office that I would be reimbursed for the high bills. She was very nice, but I guess since she no longer works there word never got to the manager Jim and assistant manager Bailey, because they basically acted like I was crazy for suggesting such a thing. Since then, communication with the office has been an issue. When I call, they don’t answer...so I go into the office. The new girl at the desk tells me she can’t answer my questions and to come back when Bailey is in the office. She never gives me her hours or a good time to come in, though. I ended up moving out a month before my lease ended and was never given a follow-up on how my move out inspection went or the details about my deposit. I emailed to inquire and was told that they would be charging me $100 for 4 small holes in the wall from hanging pictures. Bailey has since ignored my email response asking why that was not considered normal wear and tear. As stated before, the apartment is nice enough, but the office staff is money-hungry, incompetent, and rude so I took my business elsewhere.
I was here with my boyfriend while he done maintenance work. From the outside of the building, it is very nice. He also said that the apartments are nice as well & range from $1200-up.
This is WORST apartment Ive ever lived in. I just moved to ATL in Aug, and even went to view the apartments prior and thought it would be a good experience, however it is not. I have had refrigerator issues (3 of them), fire alarm issues (fire alarms sound for no reason, very unsafe), and even leaks (2 of them). I cannot wait for my lease to end because this is the worst and most unsafe place to live. Oh and not to mention the gates do not properly work and close therefore randoms have access to this gated community (there have been 2 robberies since moving here).
Awesome place to live.
Super loud neighbors at night, that the leasing staff does not address. Not a community that I would recommend for working adults who have to go to work in the morning.
Super friendly and responsive office and maintenance staff as well as affordable rent for a really convenient location! The restaurants downstairs are awesome, youre close to the highway for easy travel, and youre only a minutes drive to all of the grocery stores and retail on Howell Mill.
Worst place ever neighbors are inconsiderate and loud stomping does not stop office doesn’t address the problem and I have to bang on my ceiling because they want to put the wood floor in everywhere and it’s loud when others upstairs walk
The staff of Berkeley Heights is always helpful and they have monthly parties for all the residents. While the elevators are a good distance away from most apartments the gorgeous pool in the center of the building definitely makes up for it.
Overpriced restaurants & apartments
Primary management staff can be very rude and unhelpful. They let the only elevator the 6th floor be out of service 3 weeks. The gate to the parking garage was completely off for about 2 weeks. They do not call you back when they explicitly state they will call you back. You pretty much have to trail them to get them to remove unwarranted charges from your account and even then they will fight you till the end.
Great place to live! The management is on top of everything and the location is great!
We have moved in for about half year now and feel really annoyed and regret we chose here. Right after we moved in, even less than 2 months I think, we see our living room and my roommates bedroom got flooded just because of heavy rain. Nearly half of our living room is in water and we live in 5th floor. Water even come in from the top of the balcony door. It just like it started to rain in your room. And their manager even told us this is something they have no control and refused to promise us we wound not see this issue anymore. We were glad this issue was fixed after they sent people here AFTER SEVERAL DAYS OF THAT DAY. And they even refused to give us any thing after all the inconvenience we have been through. And in the recent months, we started to get tons of ANTS in our apartment. We have seen some ants when we moved in but they are not severe issue, even though we put a pest control request and they left us a notice said no ants are found. But now they are almost everywhere, on your bed, on your bathtub, and of course in your kitchen. Even my cats food get ants on them, and I have to make sure she doesnt get ant on her and even eat them. Also, my cats food is on a little shelf on the wall, and all ants just come from the locked machine room facing that. We have sent several pest control messages to them and told them several times and this problem is not solved at all. Also if you check clearly, ants can get out from all the corners, and even corner of the sink in your kitchen and wall in your bathroom. We called them in the night since we found the whole kitchen get ants everywhere and the maintenance refused to come since they said its on the list. So if you really want to deal with this, come and have fun with your little ants friends.
The maintenance is bad and the manager is a good for nothing, does not solve any problem, this property needs to change its employees to improve efficiency, would never rent an apartment in this property ..... excuse my sincerity
Simply put the best all around I have friends that live here and all of them have never once had a bad experience
ITS LIKE FAMILY & MORE THAN AN APT. LIKE HOME AWAY FROM HOME !
Great place to live so close to everything in the city!
This is a great place!
The absolute worst place to live, management is terrible and rude as hell.
