I recently moved in a couple of weeks ago and have enjoyed my stay. Im in a one bedroom on the terrace level and lucked out with great lighting and a corner apartment. The hallways are maintained well, the views are gorgeous, and there are cute sitting areas/trails within the community.Maintenance has been very responsive when needed and Noah, Warren, and Justin have all been great throughout this process. Im happy with my move and right down the street from the grocery store and shopping.
We have lived in this apartment for 4 years, it’s awesome especially in terms of fast maintenance. The maintenance guy KIRON hes professional, helpful and makes my husband and me impressed by his remarkable stove maintenance. Thank you KERON
This is my second time living at Gables Century Century and this is by far the best apartments I’ve lived in. The property is well kept and they complete all maintenance requests timely. I most recently had two encounters that I needed assistance with. Warren in the leasing office helped me get them resolved. He is so nice and professional. Thank You Warren for being the great person that you and doing all that you do with a smile! It is appreciated!
I lived here for 2 years before purchasing a house and moving out and overall the experience was great! On the positive side, the apartments themselves are really nice and the area it is nestled in is gorgeous, seriously, I looked at Anderson on Clairmont, Haven, and many others in the area and it was by far the prettiest. There is also a good bit of walking trails and such for pet walking or just clearing your head. Maintenance was amazing! This is something everyone seems to agree on, my issues never took more than 24 hours to resolve, and they were always nice and friendly. The building is also within walking distance of grocery stores (but youll probably want to drive there). Now for the downsides. The walls are pretty thick, I never heard my next door neighbor even when they were blaring music, however, I could hear EVERYTHING my upstairs neighbor did. You probably also know about price hikes, these are a little overblown in the reviews, but they do exist. What the reviewers below fail to mention (or is not made clear on the form the office gives you to) is that the increase includes your water, trash, and pest control fees, which are NOT advertised on the initial plans. That means you really are paying only like $50/month more when you renew, plus a renewal fee (which is stupid), and I was able to negotiate $20/month off that. However, my apartment is currently listed at $60/month less than what I would have paid for it based on my math now if I was to renew again, which is a terrible practice and thus I have to dock them for it.
My experience here overall was wonderful until management started charging random late fees. When I contacted them to get the issue resolved they were very uncooperative and no help at all. In order to avoid a second offense, I went to the front office and verified with one of the staff that my payment had been accepted. I then proceeded to pay the next months rent with the bogus added late fees only to find out that more random late fees were added. This is a great place to live if you want to keep paying extra money to these people on top of your rent.
I recently toured Gables Century Center with Warren. Warren was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He answered my questions which helped me decide to rent as soon as my current lease expires. Gables is conveniently located to my job and the area where I shop. Apartments and facility are beautiful. I made an excellent choice if Gables staff is anything like Warren. Thank you Warren!
Great facility. Toured there recently and my tour was exceptional. Justin was amazing very knowledgable. He was diligent in trying to find my new home. I would love to live there if my budget allowed. However, Justin was able to direct me to other Gables properties that suit my budget. I have toured other places but by far century center staff is beyond great.
I was very lucky to have Justin assisting me. This is my first apartment in GA. I moved from FL. The entire process was seamless. My experience with other leasing agents at other complexes was terrible. I was almost defeated until I came to the Gables. My apartment at move in was spotless and I didnt need to report any maintenance issues during the walk through. Looking forward to everything they have to offer. Thanks again Justin for your help.
I moved here in December it’s been a month staying here. So far I love it they apartment is nice and clean the outside is clean as well. When I moved in I had trouble with my shower the maintenance team was on it FAST. Came back to see if I needed anything else done. The leasing staff is good. Justin Robinson is the best leasing agent I have came across. He made my move so EASY, QUICK, PROFESSIONAL. He called me when he came back from vacay to ask how I like the new place. Hospitality like that you can’t buy. Thank you Justin your the best!
Thank you so much Justin and Warren!! You guys are amazing.
Pros: The apartments are very nice. I rarely hear my neighbors. The new gym equipment is beautiful, as well as the pool area. Some may like facing the pool, but I say if youre lucky enough the newly updated courtyards with covered seating areas are the jewel. Being situated in an office park helps block street noise and the sidewalks allow for a great walk/run community.Cons: Hallway cleanliness remains a bit of an issue. The gates are sometimes in need of repair, but that would be due to the drivers. Luckily theres a bar (often broken) and a gate. The office staff is 50-50, it depends on who you talk to. I rarely interact with them because I limit my need to.
This is one of the worst and most stressful places to reside. Do not move here. There are better locations that’ll be worth your money.
First, they altered my move inspection and tried to get me to pay for a broken sink that was cracked when I moved it. I presented the agreement to show that they were scamming me. I had an inoperable bathroom sink for weeks during the pandemic! Corporate fixed the issue without honoring their overcharge for pre/existing damage. Now, my lease ended in August 2020 during the pandemic and I decide to go month to month with Gables Century Center. My rent has increase almost $500 in the last three months. Every month approximately ten days before the rent is sure they unexpectedly place a note in the door with an increased price. When you call the office they push you off on their accountant. My rent started at $1271 and is now $1761 for a one bedroom. They are punishing people during the pandemic trying to increase rent to force you to sign a lease.
I have been waiting for weeks to get admin fee back since denied. Was first told it would be refunded immediately, then told 10 days. Now being told it would be after 30 days due to Covid. Covid has nothing to do with them cutting my check and mailing it. 3weeks and the check has not even been cut yet. Never again
DO NOT LIVE HERE. The office staff is terrible. They roll their eyes at every request. Give attitude any time I go to pick up a package. They do not inform you they are going into your apartment before they do. They are not willing to work around working people and hours they work for maintenance and a walk through. It constantly smells like weed and people play music very loud at all hours of the night. They up your rent over $200 every time your lease up, for no reason. We had a major leak with our water heater that cause mold and they would not clean it out, they just painted over it. We were constantly getting sick because of it. The pool is very nice, but often very dirty. Over the summer is had chunks of hair and plastic silverware floating in it. People speed through the parking deck and go the wrong way, making it very dangerous. It all seems very nice on paper, but in reality you will regret moving in. Wish I could give less than 1 star.
Nice apartment, but management isnt great and they only care about money. Parking gate NEVER worked and it was always such a pain to get in. The whole time we lived there we never were given working fobs and had to call ourselves into the gate to get in. Despite multiple efforts to get that fixed at the front office, nothing was ever done.
It’s been good to me so far I can’t complain. Some community rules aren’t followed especially smoking at the pool but other than that no complaints
While theres not much in the area, the location of this property is tucked away and quiet. The bonus is that theres plenty of free parking in the garage. Maintenance responds quickly, which is a plus. The exterior makes you feel like youre in the mountains of Colorado. They have nice amenities - a pool, grills (gas and charcoal) and a gym. The downsides? Not all the residents are respectful, so one of the amenities might be out of use for a while while its being repaired, theres been more noise lately than in the past, and theres no one collecting packages at the leasing office, so make sure to be home when an order is delivered. Theyll also raise your rent every year, so be prepared.
I love living here, and the amenities are non-comparable. Gables Century Center takes care of their residents. Many of my friends are looking into possibly leasing here as well.
Wonderful community, always up kept, staff is amazing. Especially Debra, Keshia and Taylor. Great location! Community is pretty quiet and there is always enough parking
I love the pool and the gym here. The neighborhood is quite and the people are nice. There are a lot of nice places to take the dog for a walk.
Terrible. First, The place was not cleaned before I moved in. For example, rag stuck in garbage disposal, dishes in dishwasher, spilled candle wax on counter top, filth everywhere. Second, for the last month and a half my apartment constantly smells like marijuana - making It impossible to stay there. Doesn’t matter, I’m still responsible for the rent. I’m leaving early because of it. Third, 2 times someone has attempted to break into my apartment. Both times my alarm was going off when I got home, the front desk was called, but no one bothered to call me. Get the alarm if you stay. Although, my dealings with this place were awful. I do not recommend this apartment complex.
I lived here almost 2 years and absolutely loved it! I found the staff to be quick in resolving my concerns and always willing to help in any way they could. As a single female, I always felt safe in the community. I had a family emergency and had to leave my apt unattended for 2-3 months. I informed the office and they kept an eye on my apartment, which was so comforting. At move out, they helped me understand my options and were so on top of everything. I am grateful to have lived in this beautiful property.
THIS PLACE has one of the best pool areas with water jets and propane grills. Maintenance is always on time. I feel like im coming home to a luxury hotel. If I move its only to get away from Atlanta traffic!
I have been a tenant since the end of February 2016. On the first lease renewal the rent increased $30 in addition to paying a $60 application fee. This coming year the increase is $60 in addition to another application fee of $60! I can’t afford an increase of $30-60 each year. I am a model tenant I always pay my rent early and don’t need anything from the staff. The money I am spending on a one bedroom is insane. I could be purchasing a 3bedroom+home. I have excellent credit but I really don’t need the space. But at this rate, I am being pushed out and is something I am forced to consider. Renters beware of the increase on the already expensive rent.
Horrible experience. During our last month, we did not receive our monthly notice to pay rent, which we got every month before so we relied on it and trusted that it would be sent. Therefore, we were charged an extra 10% THE DAY after rent was due. No leniency at all. What makes it better is that if you have late rent, you have to go to your bank and get a cashiers check to pay. They make it way too difficult for them to be payed. Also, during move out, we cleaned our apartment fully and thoroughly. We received a bill that stated that we owed $10 because we did not clean our drip pans (not even sure what that means), $15 because our microwave wasnt clean to their standards, $15 for a small stain on the carpet (the carpet was not new and in perfect shape to begin with), and $65 dollars for wall damage in our living room. We hung two pictures in our living room and left two small holes. Not quite sure that costs $65 to fix. This apartment building and its staff is ridiculous. Not helpful at all and always annoyed at requests. The entire year I was there, I talked to the front office about the TVs being broken in the gym and they kept reassuring me that it would be fixed. Of course that never happened. The office also refuses to receive packages that are too large, forcing you to make arrangements to pick up large packages at the UPS, FedEx, or USPS store. They also charge you $50 if you leave your trash out at the wrong time or leave more than one bag out. This company is money hungry and I dont suggest you live there unless you want to spend ridiculous amounts of money and be hit with fees left and right that were never explained to you during your lease signing. Do yourself and favor and live somewhere else.
Going on my second year with this complex, i have nothing but great experience so far. I love their workout room, location is close to everything and office staff has always been friendly.
Renewal rent rate went up over $200. There are no real amenities besides the gym and pool. There were times the fire alarm would go off randomly. Move out charges are insane. When asked to get a new fob, worker (keyshia) would not give one but she parks her car in the deck with a working fob. Gate constantly breaks. People are constantly moving out so please take the hint. At night it has a weird unsafe feeling to it, especially the parking deck. Oh, and your Uber’s/Lyfts will not be able find you. There is always an issue where they will go to the IRS building bc gables does not route to their gps. Would not recommend.
So I have been a tenant for 11 months, and what I can tell you differs slightly from most. Lets start with the good! The maintenance team is probably the best youll ever find, I completely agree with all the good statements. The pool area and gym are also fabulous! The gate always works and it does fee safe here. Now the bad. I have had so many issues with roaches crawling through my vents and falling onto m,y bathroom floor. I have seen it happen with my own eyes. I have closed the ac vents to the bathroom and bedroom while calling for spraying constantly and telling them theyre coming through the vents. No dice. So be wary, I was on the fist floor so maybe thats my fault. Moving on, When it came time to renew the lease, they upped my lease $60. Funny thing is, the market value for my exact apartment was $4 more. And I contacted them about it and they said sure, well help, and only upped it $40. So they clearly dont care about tenant turnover.Overall though, my experience has been a positive one and thus the 4 stars. Due to price and how much they dont appreciate a paying resident who doesnt cause problems in comparison to making a few extra bucks they dont get five stars. But what can you expect? This is business.
Love it here! There were some bugs but nothing that they didnt fix. Maintenance was quick and the pool is beautiful! Staff has always been friendly with my questions and packages (both very large and small). Also great location for commuting because it is right next to I-85.
Great place to live! The leasing and maintenance staff are great. Good location and great apartment amenities.
Love the location and area!! Sidewalks to take a nice walk. Great pool area also. Nice business office with computers, printer and coffee bar.
I have been here just under a month now but love it so much! Its a home feel with an apartment atmosphere! Everyone in the office is very friendly and accommodating
This place is amazing! Friendly and competent staff- especially Keishia in the office! Great location. Its close to highway access but tucked away! We love it here!
Keshia at the front desk has a bad attitude. I hate whenever I need something from the front desk. She is always very dismissive and seems as if we are bothering her. Ma’am, our rent pays your check.Otherwise the apartment itself is nice. I have not had any major issues since moving in. Maintenance is always friendly and fast.
I wish i could rate zero stars. They way they treat their residents is horrible and this is an incredibly greedy company. They towed my car today and have threatened to tow it in the past. As a resident (which a vehicle registered ) you would think they would show more respect. But instead, you get very little support from the staff and they tell you their is nothing they can do. :(
My experience at the Gables Century Center has been excellent! It’s a very peaceful place to live. I love the amenities and the management is awesome!
This place is a facade of alleged luxury and full of roaches, poor management, delayed long term maintenance, plenty of gangsters. On a recent walk through to visit a friend, I was not shocked to see trash in the hallways.
Looks good on the surface and to the naked eye, but if you really look into the nooks and crannies you will see this property is not very well maintained. There has been reports of HOME INTRUSIONS from residents since I been here in April of this year. It is tucked away in a corporate area so it seems quiet but dont be fooled do your DUE DILIGENCE. The turnover for management and staff is high here. I heard from one of the staff members that all of Gables properties was for sale for about 4 billion dollars, and I can tell. BEWARE of any place that offer a $400 referral service to residents, and $100 gift card upon moving in. I wouldnt refer my worst enemy here for the amount of money they are selling the property for. I was unaware of the 30 day money back guarantee, or maybe that is new. I would have to pursue them in court to break my lease now, and trust me I could.BUG INFESTATION:I have found them in the vents of the microwave, cabinets (in my dishes as well), coming out of drains, in the windows, HVAC closet, bedroom closets, bathtub etc. I am talking about centipedes, spiders, flying cockroaches, water bugs, nets, beetle looking bugs, and others I cant even classify.PROPERTY MANAGEMENT:The exterior of the building is pretty dirty and has SPIDER webs everywhere. It looks like it hasnt been pressure washed EVER. The paint is RUSTING, and the caulking and paint is cracking in several places. The hallways are dirty and always have TRASH lying around. I found excessive DIRT and GRIME in the window seals, under the washer/dryer, and on top of the cabinets.
This fascility is Extremely clean and organized. It is also very quiet. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The parking garage is also a plus.
Walls and floors are extremely thin. I can constantly hear my next door neighbors TV humming and the neighbors above me get busy (shudders). Nice looking place, but made with cheap materials.Amenities are okay, but lacking for luxury. Price is okay if you can find a deal.I probably wont renew my lease unless I can get a better deal and move to a top level floor.
The good:Maintenance is spectacular. They respond very quickly and are friendly and courteous. The grounds are well-kept and the property is usually clean. The bad:As others have said, the majority of the staff at the leasing office are dismissive and act irritated by any request. The walls/floors are very thin, and the courtesy officers are laughable. It is a gated community, and doors are propped open CONSTANTLY. If it was just the residents, I wouldnt bother including this. However, management hired painters for the exterior in the summer of 2018. When I moved out in early 2019, they were still making their way around painting. During this entire period of time, the gate in the parking lot where the mailboxes are (where the pavement meets the sidewalk to walk around back) has been propped open by paint cans. All day long, every day. Closing the gate would just result in it being propped back open within the hour. If this was a short job, itd be understandable, but having a gated community wide open for over six months is completely unacceptable. Finally, be wary of the pricing. I lived here for four years in two different apartments. Every year, the rent is raised by approximately $100/month if you resign the lease for your apartment (there is also a $60 fee to continue into another lease). If EVERYONES rent was raised, thatd be one thing. However, I found that the exact same floor plan would still be listed at or about the original price. The first year I lived here I attempted to speak with the office about the increase. They were unwilling to budge on the pricing and told me it was because they had a shortage of available units with that floor plan. But to happen EVERY year AND in two different floor plans? Out of curiosity, I checked with a few of my neighbors with different floor plans who confirmed the same increase. Basically, you can expect to pay an extra $1200+ per year as your loyalty bonus for re-signing your lease.
Ive been a tenant at the community since June 2014. The property is kept like a dump and the Community manager Deborah speaks to loyal tenants disrespectfully. They do not value their residents theyre Always given one incorrect information and if the portal isnt working properly and they dont receive your rent they will charge you late fees that dont add up to the total of your monthly rent %.The gates are always broke and the complex is infested with roaches that crawl outside in the hallway. The hallways are dirty and trash can sit in front of your apartment on the ground for weeks and never cleaned up.Im going to contact Ms. Nowik at the Corporate headquarters with my issues. In addition the manager Noah is also horrible, which you can tell hes trying to cover up their disrespectful behavior and keep a job. They never respond to emails.I have pictures that I will be sending to their corporate office. Run run run from this community its the projects with luxury prices. The leasing office managers are bullies.
Great office staff and pool! The only thing I detracted from is that they should do some pest control spraying. They should do it for the apartments and the hallways. The pool is amazing though!
If you can avoid this property please do, it’s not worth over $1200 for the issues! I have been without AC for 4 days and given a window unit which increases electricity usage to run all day. I finally was contacted after sending several emails and making calls and pretty much given just a “sorry” that I was inconvenienced and had to pack/move in a 80+ degree apt over the weekend. I have experienced a water leak in the past and all they did was supposedly fix it and paint the wall to cover it. No mold was checked for. Don’t bother moving here the property manager Noah Steinberg is the worst to try to get in contact with. AVOID
I lived here for 2 years & recently moved out. I wish I would have trusted the reviews more before signing a lease. My roommate & I had the absolute WORST possible experience. The leasing office is terrible. I know that may not seem like that big of a deal but having to deal with them is unbelievable. Gables is a reputable community yet the employees in the office are dismissive, inattentive, disrespectful & act like you are a burden with any questions you have or any help you need. Our apartment was also broken into and not handled very well at all. It is a gated community yet somehow our apartment on the 2nd floor was crow barred open in the middle of the day on a Friday. They did replace the door that day; however, the door frame was broken so you could see in through the apartment. They instructed us that they would not be able to fix it right away due to other priorities. I dont know what could be more of a priority than residents feeling unsafe due to being able to see into their apartment. It took over 2 weeks & it only was taken care of then after we contacted a regional person. We are not typically ones to complain but there was problem after problem after problem. I am putting this information out there to those considering this property as I wish I would have paid more attention to reviews. I would hate for the same thing to happen to someone else that happened to us. I would strongly advise against choosing to live here.
My neighbor’s apartment is INFESTED with roaches and the leasing office will not do anything. When he requested to move apartments ( he has lived here for a week and has many problems. Smelly kitchen, broken blinds, broken dishwasher, now roaches) they told him he had to pay them over 2,000 dollars. They’re the ones who rented out a disgusting apartment. All of the “leasing professionals” are so rude and unhelpful. Do not move here. If the lease breaking clause wasn’t so unfair I would move immediately.
I absolutely love living at Gables Century Center.Everyone on staff is incredible and friendly andGo the extra mile without hesitation.I have lived in quite a few apartments over theYears and I can honestly say these people are the best!!Special shoutout to Jaleesa, Danielle, and of course Amber😀
Upon arrival the exterior is your Typical apartments... We found a dead roach in the model we toured. Keisha was the leasing consultant that we spoke to, she was rude and snobbish at first then after talking to her about our MULTIPLE gable properties we had previously visited she lightened up a tad. Overall this place was tooling off the list due to the hospitality and reach problem.
82 reviews5.0 star rating 2/8/2017Love this community! I am a late 20 something yuppie and this apartment complex is generally made up of professionals like me. Pros: very quiet, neighbors are respectful, maintenance is quick and responsive, and the leasing staff is courteous and professional. Valet trash is a plus and they encourage green practices (recycling valet too!). Honestly the best place Ive lived in in Atlanta. Foot traffic and crime is not an issue since this complex is tucked away inside an office park. Parking deck is gated. Some noise can be heard from the courtyard if neighbors are getting loud outside, but havent had much of an issue because, again, most residents are working professionals.
Its a decent place to live but not worth more money next year if their raise the rent more...
Not a family friendly environment. If u have kids pick a diffrent apartment complex.I have lived here since 2016 with my 2 kids. When we 1st moved in everything was ok. The girls in the front office are not the friendliest but matience is AWESOME! The thing about these apts are walls are very thin as in most apartments. I can hear my neighbors run water, turn on the washer/dryer, flush the toliet, walking, etc. Now with that being said i have received notices saying my neighbor thats under me can hear my kids running. Multiple notices for that but the 1 that is absolutely ridiculous is recieving a notice that someone can hear crying.....umm im sure they do I HAVE 2 KIDS!! I hear my neighbors that are college students on the balcony playing music and talking on the weekends but i have not complained. If u do not want 2 hear any noise from anyone move to a house i think. To the parents with small children you may want 2 think twice before moving in. Just my personal experience it does not seem to be a family friendly apartment complex.UPDATE: So i am no longer at Gables century and feel great!!! I am in new apartments up the street. The final thought is they are way to high for the basic treatment you will receive. The leasing staff is wack but again matience is good. I did deal with roaches and the apatments arent that nice to pay 1,700 to 2,000 a month!!! You can live in buckhead or rent a big house for that. The attitudes of the leasing girls is enough to make you want to leave. Personal opinion find something better. Also i do not need a fake reply from gables to contact them im good! Thanks.
Its nice. Floors and walls are a little thin but not too bad. It is pricey for where it is though.
The tank on my toilet broke late one night. I called maintenance lat that night and by ten in the am it was already replaced... Great job Vergil
Be cautious that the apartment is poorly managed and no one will be responsible for your potential damage. My car was hit badly by the malfunctioning automatic gate when I visited my friend living there. The community manager was very rude and refused to pay for the damage. I complaint to the regional manger who is his boss and will sue them in court. I would advise anyone living in this apartment be careful if you want to invite your friends driving their cars to this apartment.
Trashy place to live. We receive weekly safety alerts concerning break-ins. The place is strewn and littered with overflowing trash bags and pet waste in elevators and breezeways. Peoples pets roam around freely off leash, contributing the the pet waste problem on the property. The courtesy officers are never around to enforce late-night (early morning) noise ordinances. The fire alarms blare at all times of the night (people smoking in their rooms undoubtedly), while Gables continues to hike the prices for rent. Cant wait to leave this dump and would advise others to seriously reconsider renting from this place!!!!!!
Safe, quiet, peaceful, convenient location. Love it!
I have lived here for 2yrs its just ok they could step the amunities up a bit and there sercurity team needs to be more visible and the rent is very high but yes the units are very nice but not worth the cost.
Scam
Terrible customer service and does not put their tenants first
Helpful Staff
Excellent attention and location very nice apartments
