Everyone in the office is so nice and helpful. From when I needed to move in quickly to my move out process, I have nothing but praise for the office staff. Not only have they helped me with whatever issues I might’ve had, they also are cool people and genuinely friendly. They remembered small details about me and why I moved to Atlanta in the first place. Truly, they are the best part about Apex and are worth coming back to stay for such great customer service.
I love this apartment so much! Been moving around for years, and I can finally say I’ve found a great place to stay while I live in Atlanta! The staff is great, especially Tierra! Thank you guys for helping me find my new home!
Great Location and the staff is great. The office staff are very kind. I often stop in to speak to Shattorra and Jasmine. They are always so helpful. Management are very down to earth. The assistant Tierra is full of energy. The manager is very kind as well. He even helped me carry my groceries. Often times you can see the maintenance out cleaning the property. They do a great job. However, the alarms do go off sometimes due to kids pulling them but the office always stays in communication with us. All in all it is a great place to live and everyone treats you like family.
This apartment is the best community I have lived in. I moved here from San Diego California and I love it. Tierra was great she made the process super easy.
I had an impromptu tour here the other day with my agent Shatorra I believe. She was AMAZING. Looking for an apartment in a brand new state has been stressful. She made me feel so much better about relocating and gave me such good tips! So personable! Even if I find better Sha and the leasing staff has definitely won me over :)
Fire alarms were pulled by someone on purpose several times in a streak. The office sent out a notice saying that authorities will dust the fingerprint on fire alarms. However, we did not receive any updates on that. The smell of weed is like 24 hour, 7 days a week in the hallways. You would feel weird if there was no smell.People who parked their car on ADA space without valid placards could never be towed even they parked overnight. And some people usually parked or stopped their cars in front of the exit next to mailroom and blocked the driveway. All incidents above may be occasional, but we would be really appreciative if towing company with their truck could show up frequently to ensure people park legitimately.
I lived here for five years, through medical school and residency. The location is great. Things progressively got worse throughout my time at Apex and I would like to warn as many people as possible. There is a huge lack of security with people using their apartments for AirBnBs, random men walking around the complex with automatic rifles, car break ins, and lack of adequate security/police presence. I expect a certain level of crime just living in a major city but I shouldn’t feel unsafe even inside of the complex. I had several bad encounters with office staff, by far the worst was when I called to figure out how to make my last payment as the website had me locked out and the leasing agent called me “annoying” and commented on my pattern of speech with me still on the phone. Mind you, I am a resident doctor working in the ICU with a mask on taking care of patients 12 hours a day and was simply trying to figure out how to make my payment and no longer have to interact with this complex again. The hallways often had dog feces and urine throughout and the gym is frequently occupied by personal trainers and their clients. The fire alarm is constantly being triggered and going off. I have seen several physical fights break out in the parking deck as well as the pool area and hallways.I will say that maintenance team is amazing and my requests we completed in an extremely timely manor. The countless times that my AC went out they were able to come in urgently overnight and I am very appreciative.I am overall disappointed with my experience here and would not recommend this apartment for any young professionals and/or single women in Atlanta. Living here as well as moving out of this apartment has been more stressful than my entire first year of medical residency.
WARNING: If you move here, you’ll regret it.It may look decent, and priced to meet your budget, but the constant noise and distractions from multiple weekly fire alarms, noisy air conditioning unit, parking sstructure drag racing, noisy partying neighbors, weed smoking, and crime activities are something you’ll be forced to live with. If you do rent here and have problems, they’ll give you an after hours Security Officer phone number that will NEVER be answered after office hours, or followed up on. They just don’t care enough at the leasing office. When your lease is over, they’ll just steal your security deposit with little to no reason. The rental location is the only legitimate good reason to move here. That’s it.Good Luck on your decision. You’ve been warned.
I’m enjoying my experience as a resident. The leasing office staff are always very helpful and friendly whenever I am in need of assistance. Additionally, the maintenance team is WONDERFUL. I have made a couple of requests and they are always handled within 24 hours, which makes me feel that my needs as a resident are important to them. Thank you Apex West Midtown!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDEDAs I walked in looking for an Apartment, I was greeted with a warm welcome from the Apex Management team. Shatorra (Sha) made sure I got in the apartment I was looking for. She made everything perfect and smooth. I’ve been in my apartment for a little over 5 months now and up to this day Sha’s customer service is TOP TIER! The Apex management team does many events for the Apex community such as, Instagram contests, Ice cream day, Apex even have a personal chef that cooks bomb food throughout the week! Not only that, but they also keep in touch with the community via text or email with anything that’s happening in the community.
This place is very conveniently located. The community is clean. The office staff is absolutely amazing and they exemplify what community and customer service should look like! I couldn’t be more pleased with the whole move in process. Maintenance is very efficient! Very very happy with Apex West Midtown!
My experience at Apex has been wonderful!I wont lie, I was a little skeptical at first about applying here after reading the older reviews. But Ive been here for about a year now and dont regret my decision.Anytime I have a maintenance request, theyre there the next day or two and communicate their arrival. They also keep the grounds well kept, I swear I see them cleaning the community areas (dog park, pool, parking garage, etc.) every other morning. The restaurants and stuff downstairs are nice and convenient! And some of them are well known, so be prepared for an increased traffic flow over the weekends. If youre worried about car break-ins, dont leave any valuables on your seat and park in the designated resident areas and you should be good. This is the city, so break-ins are common, undesirable, but common. And lastly, the staff is awesome!! Any issues Ive had have been resolved with ease. They go above and beyond to help and host seasonal events to keep the community engaged.I hope this helps! Good luck on your search!
One of the easiest processes I ever went through. The staff at apex is very helpful and extremely fast with any issue. I was very pleased with the services they provided and they got back at me in a very timely matter.
My tour with Sha was excellent . She was very informative and answered all my questions very well. Sha gave me great ideas how to keep the kids entertained like the pool and as well different activities in the community . The pool was very clean and nice. Sha and the team were very welcoming, amazingly kind, and helped keep me within my budget. The tour was great. Highly recommend it.
The fire alarm keeps going off for hours ! This is horrible! And the power keeps going out ! DONT NOT MOVE HERE … here I am commenting again because FIRE ALARM IS GOING OFF AGAIN. And the owner only responded to the power outages… WHY IS THE FIRE ALARMS GOING OFF ? People have babies and anxiety problems
Listennnn.....I love living here I don’t have any issues whatsoever, the staff is amazing and very respectful. Moving from Oakland to here everyone that I’ve encountered so for has been nothing but kind especially Shatorra she has been a big help to me with answering my 101 questions 😂 if you’re reading this thank you girl lol.... she is dope & knowledgeable.,
My experience here has been great. There are several restaurants and places for entertainment nearby. The location is definitely one of the reasons I decided to move here. I met Mikyle, the property manager while I was apartment hunting and his entire staff gave me a welcoming experience. When it came down to narrowing my choices, I thought about my experience with the staff. I’m glad I decided to move here because the staff kept the same attitude they had when they were trying to earn my business. You can tell they care about us residents and they show appreciation in many ways. I attended one of our resident appreciation nights last year and I enjoyed myself a lot! You could tell the staff put a lot of effort into making sure we enjoyed our night ( they had free giveaways and even a live comedian!) . I have had bad experiences with other apartment complexes but this one is the best place I’ve rented so far.
It’s a really nice place. I’m definitely pleased with the Maintenance staff! They know how to do their job. They answer to any issues right away. The office staff is always so friendly. maintenance guys always go out of their way to resolve any issues.
I had a wonderful experience. The service was outstanding. The manager Mikyle was friendly and understanding. He was quick to respond to any issues. I will always recommend these apartment to others. The apartment is really nice and cozy.
Nothing but good things to say about my time here. Looks good on the inside, no bugs. Location is great with bars, nail salon and barbershop downstairs. The maintenance team is really helpful, especially José whose really proactive when it comes to assisting the residents.
I have been on the hunt for an affordable apartment close to the Atlanta, nearby restaurants/retailers and pet friendly for a bit. To be honest the list of apartments I had put together, this wasnt at the top but it still made the list as a place to go check out. When I went Shatorra was extremely helpful, friendly and genuine. After our conversation and tour, Apex went to the top of my list. I have communicated with some other staff a few times through out the application process, Jasmine and Tierra both have been very helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend checking out Apex and see if they make it on your list.
Shatorra Joyner answered all my questions and provided excellent customer service
Tierra, Jasmine and Kayla have been absolutely AMAZING! Im a parent helping my 2 daughters get their 1st apartment and they have gone above and beyond to help us get situated into the perfect space!Thank you so much for all of your help!
Mikyle is the absolute worst property manager EVER and he offers money for anyone to post positive reviews. This dude is such a joke & clearly knows nothing about managing an entire property.
The maintenance crew are so helpful. Every time I see one their always willing to help !!
I love it here . Love the staff and love the smart locks and smart thermostat. This community is perfect right in the mist of downtown/midtown. Thank you all 🤍
My move in experience was brutal until Shatorra came in and saved the entire situation. Her customer service and knowledge is, by far, THE BEST!!!!! She made sure that all of my move in needs were met and was totally professional! She even did a follow up as a courtesy to the rest of my move in transition went smoothly. I highly recommend Apex West Midtown. But, for the ABSOLUTE BEST in customer service, ask for Shatorra!!
I would love to put a 5-star review but heres why. Me and my mother moved in around January 2020, and there werent any issue until we got comfortable. Silverfish will appear everywhere and its makes me feel like everywhere i move in my unit its a silverfish waiting. My daughters closet is very small and on the website its states, walk-in closet for every room and my daughter has a lot of things so its just a very small closet. Maintenance is always coming because the blinds for the patio door are always breaking, the sink clogs all the time. People and their dogs are nasty because poop is never picked up by the owners. Weekly car break-ins, false fire alarms, its just not somewhere you would like to live for a few months or a year. I personally dont recommend this apartment complex for single moms or anything.
I have lived here at Apex for over 3 years and Tierra is by far my favorite of any of the previous property managers. She always responds to emails quickly and was very understanding of the financial difficulties most of us faced during the early months of the pandemic. 10 stars from me.
Shatorra and jazmine in the main office are always very sweet and always super helpful!
This place is under the worst manager, Mikyle Walker. He is a know it all that has such a horrible attitude and is always unprofessional. The maintenance guy Jose is his side kick and does not value the residents on site. We had to wait days before our hot water was fixed he was on call. I HATE IT HERE & I live with my girlfriend. I could only imagine how the real residents feel that actually pay rent.
The ladies in the office are great and professional
Run! Because if it ain’t the bugs it’s the fire alarms!!!
I toured this property for its location, the area is very nice with lots of shopping and eatery’s, community is very clean and well maintained!!!I have to say Mr. Walker and Ms. Tierra took the time to answer any questions I had about property and the area. All staff very professional. I have to say it’s nice to be greeted when you walk into smiling faces into a leasing office. It felt like home already!!!looking forward to moving here!!!! Definitely recommend anyone who is looking for an apartment to come here!!!!!
The staff is very nice, but thats where it ends. They had a smart home system installed in my apartment that stopped working last year. After multiple maintenance requests, I was told that they dont work with that company anymore and I will have to connect with them on my own to get it fixed. Of course, I have no idea on who to contact and how to get this to work. From a rent perspective, they lure you in with a reasonable rate, and after a year, they jack up the prices by ~$130. Considering the inflation is roughly at ~2%, I am surprised that I see this steep of an increase when there are other options in the same locality (in fact same street) with economical prices. Oh, did I tell you that you have to pay ~30/month in common electricity (fine print), ~30 for trash, plus more for using their smart payment system? The rent adds up fairly quickly and you find yourself paying a lot more than you thought you would. I have been staying here for about a year now with the base rent being $1249 and I pay ~$1430 a month including electricity, gas, and sewage. Plus increasing this by another $120 something, my rent would be around $1550 which is closer to what youd pay at a comparable high rise condo in Midtown Atlanta.
Hello all, I have been living here close to two weeks now, and the overall quality of living for such a hard worker like myself can not be compared to any of my past Midtown area apartments. I have an amazing view close to the walking trail and trees I just love it here, abt 15 mins always from all points of the city pretty much. Thanks Tia, Tierra, and Jasmine these young ladies made my move so easy I feel these ladies cared for my actual well being rather than just getting u approved and in the door. I’m loving all of Apex so far must say.
The fire alarms go off at least 2-3x a month for no reason. In the past two weeks they have gone off every other day, sometimes in the middle of the night, which is a safety issue. The AC system needs Improvement, less than two weeks of moving in July our AC went out, luckily we got it resolved. Other tenants are constantly having issues with their air filters and their AC going down. We received spam emails at the beginning of the pandemic reminding everyone on “how to pay rent” instead of offering to reduce rent or give us some sort of credit towards our rent; after cutting access to a majority of the amenities and putting limits on the nature of maintenance request offered. Some positives, I love my walk in closet, balcony fairly nice, some my appliances meet standards. I will say some of the office staff members are friendly and genuinely care about the well being of their tenants. I have had positive interactions with kind maintenance staff. Venterra Living is corporate so the staff is limited on what they can do to help tenants. If things do not change soon my girlfriend and I will not be renewing our lease.
I’ve been living at APEX West Midtown for almost one year, and I love it. It’s the perfect location nearby lots of restaurants, and the highway. I have no complaints about my studio apartment and the staff is awesome, especially the manager Mikyle Walker. He was very helpful getting me moved in, and still is always available whenever I need anything. The staff are very friendly people who are willing to help anytime. I would definitely recommend this place!
ConsMAJOR ISSUE - Car break-ins occur all the time. And we do not get notified.Silverfish infestation, see at least 1 every day. Even after pest control.Small gym ...like a storage closetThin Ceiling walls, can hear everything..and I mean everything smhThe fire alarm is disruptive. Randomly waking everyone up.Constant Payment issuesProsCool StaffMaintenance handle issues fastParking - Ample ParkingNice Kitchen, with plenty of storage
I was initially excited about the price and location of the property. However, after a few months I started having issues with property management, cleanliness, and amenities. People didn’t follow leash rules and did not pick up after their pets. My washing machine left white residue on my clothes and continued doing so even after maintenance came out to fix it. Ants became an issue during the summer and fall. I requested pest control, only to have the exterminator enter my unit while I was asleep and treat most of my apartment without waking me up. He mentioned I was asleep to property management and they didn’t feel the need to contact me or inform him that this was inappropriate. I only found out because he left a light on in my kitchen and an empty service form on my counter with no contact information. I had a meeting with someone on the management team about this but I never felt safe in my apartment after that. In July the elevator broke and we were not kept well informed about it being fixed or replaced. It was still broken when I left in December. I gave my notice to leave on time but never received information on what needed to be done before I moved out. I had to call the office and ask what the process was instead.
When I moved in a couple of years ago the property manager was great. Very personable and responsive. Under the new management things have gone downhill. No accountablity for residents violating lease. Even prior to shelter in place the noise levels after hours in common areas are disruptive. There were often crowds of I assume visitors in the pool and rec center areas in the middle of the night. Courtesty/Security officer seems to not be present to manage these issues. The issues with the fire alarms have seemed to increase. Often waking residents throughout the week. The hallways and parking garages smell like marijuana constantly. Trash and pet feces litter the grounds. Logistically its a great location but unless new management actually starts to manage it will become a dump.
Horrible place to live. Aspire Westside, where we recently moved on the Westside, is a far better option than this unit. Broken gate arms, dirty hallways, no security on site.
It was good now im praying that i get the apartment i really like it there so im on pins and needles. But the experience was great
I visited Apex to go see a relative. The maintenance staff was so welcoming when I came to the property, I took a tour. The young lady in the office Jazmine was very informative, and as welcoming as the maintenance person I ran into, She said his name is Willie, when I described him. I thank you for the tour and encounter, I know where Im moving when my lease is up. I felt as if I already stayed there from their encounter. See you soon!
Many issues in this building and very little help. First the alarms come off randomly. The trash service is very disrespectful and skip apartment trash at random. Pest control is not effective and very bad I have silverfishes all over the apartment that poke holes in my clothes. I wouldn’t recommend this building. Please take a look at the apex tenants Facebook page to really get a feel of all the issues residents are facing. I’mJust glad my lease is over soon. RUN AWAYYYY!!!!!
Great staff very friendly and helpful
I’m loving the new place spacious and great..love the bedroom and bathroom the kitchen is nice and the other living spaces are great
If you want to live in or around downtown Atlanta, Apex West Midtown, is a great place to be. There is retail on site so you dont have to go far to find entertainment. Everyone in the office is so welcoming. Apex really knows how to properly manage a community. Im not moving until August but I already know that Apex is where I want to be. I cant wait lease there.
Pros:1. room is large for a studio, spacious2. pool area is great3. without a car, commute with MARTA bus stop is right across the apartment with sidewalk, very very safe and take you right to the subway stationCon:1. The internet.
I have lived at Apex for about a year and have been more than happy with my decision. Affordable, convenient and safe. My biggest concern living in Midtown was the security aspect and Apex has a great security team. We have security at the entrances to our parking deck and a gated parking lot for residents. Its nice to have that around here. The restaurants below are top notch. Whether you want a burger, Mexican or some of the best BBQ in Atlanta, Apex has it all. Also, another thing that got me was the Dry cleaning place underneath us. I can drop my stuff off in the morning and pick it up the next day without having to make another trip. The staff is hands down the best around. Anything they can do to help they will. If you are thinking about living here, do it! You wont be disappointed.
The only reason they got one Star is because I couldnt do my review without giving one. But if it were up to me, Id give them a -5 Star. Move here at your own risk, theyve been having a series of car break ins. The courtesy officers arent around to at least be present to prevent or protect residents or guest. And when your car/truck gets broken into, dont look to get any sympathy or help from management because they dont care. All they want is your money, and occupancy. My car was broken into, along with other vehicles on the same day. Theyre were supposed to be two courtesy officers working, but neither were around when this happened. This wasnt in the wee hours of the morning either, this happened between 6-8pm right near the entrance from Huff Rd. Where two security cameras that were allegedly working could see anything that took place. Of course when I got to my vehicle I immediately called the police. When the officer gets there, a courtesy Officer shows up as well that works the lot. I asked him where he was at for these vehicles to get broken into this close to the entrance and nobody heard anything. He says that he was working this huge community alone and that not even a week prior, there was another break in. Not only that, but the officer that responded to the call said he responded to that call as well. And that its known in the area that theft and break ins are an issue. The very next day I called to immediately notify the property of what happened. I spoke with a lady who did not want to give me her last name. And she said that since it happened on a holiday that the office would be closed and not open back up until Wednesday. I asked if she could notify her manager and have them Save the security camera footage so that myself and the others could at least try and find out who did it. She said just call back on Wednesday SMH. Wednesday comes and I talk to the property manager to let her know what took place. She basically told me that there was nothing they could do. I asked for the corporate number and she refused to give it and told me to email them. She also stated that once they get the police report, they could review the camera footage. After the police report was ready I dropped it off by the leasing office, directly to the property manager. And she told me that once they had the report they would let me know what they found. Its been weeks past and I havent heard from the corporate office nor the leasing office. Im not asking them to replace my belongings, neither do I want money for what was taken. All I wanted was for them to act like they give a damn and help find out how/why this happened on theyre property in front of working cameras (allegedly)? So before you think about moving here, just know the security sucks and management doesnt give a damn about your personal belongings or your safety.Things needed to live here:Pepper sprayStun gunReal gun (legally)Baseball batAny type of weapon basically,
Apex is a beautiful community. The staff is very friendly. The property manager is professional and knowledgeable. Overall I have had a wonderful experience!!!!Apex is definitely the place to be!!Check them out!!! You dont regret it!!!
My husband and I greatly enjoyed living at Apex West Midtown. The property management staff was always lovely - very polite, attentive, and people I greatly enjoyed seeing when I picked up packages or had a question. The maintenance service was prompt, thorough, and accessible. Parking was very easy, the pool was a great asset, and I really enjoyed the location and exploring the restaurants in the surrounding area. The units (we lived in 2 different ones - upgrading from studio to 2 BR) are clean, new, and spacious. Would highly recommend this apartment to anyone!
I applied a month ago and the new assistant manager Gabriel was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The property is clean and located near my job. I also love the fact that I can pay rent and all of my utilities online. Apex at West Midtown is great place to live.
Such a great place to live! Lots of retail nearby and conveniently located near shopping and grocery stores, which I love. Management is friendly and efficient, and always available to speak with and answer questions.
If you love being able to hear every little thing your neighbor does, every song theyve ever played, every detail of every intimate encounter theyve ever had, and be able to track your upstairs neighbors every movement as they stomp around in high heels for 3 hours every single morning, then Apex West Midtown is the place for you.Other than razer thin walls and ceilings, and cheap construction, its not a bad place to live. Location is decent. But theres definitely better places to be for the same price.
Very bad building, alarms keep going off at random time, they broke into one of my guests car by breaking the handle. Visit the apex west tenants page to know everything about the building. Dont sign before looking at the facebook page. There hasnt been a day without an issue.
Antanisha is the BEST! From pre move to residency she have explained the process very well and was always available to answer any questions that I had. She always treated me with utter respect and kindness. She is the reason that I feel as though I have family right here at APEX! Great customer service!
Solid place to live. Great location, nice apartments and a very friendly and helpful staff. There were some problems with the power going out in the summer, but this was quickly addressed and has not happened since. I would highly recommend this community for anyone looking in West Midtown.
Ive been at Apex for 5 months and I love it! Maintenance is quick and really nice. The apartment hosts events for residents and though it is pet friendly you arent bothered by other peoples pets. The rent is amazing for the location and quality. Only downer is the kitchen is small and the oven could be better quality.
Updated review: Though this place still has a few major issues, if I wasnt leaving the country Id be staying here for another year. The apartments are well-maintained and maintenance always responds exceedingly fast. There is a dog wash area downstairs along with a game room and pool. In other wings they have a dog park and a little quiet grill area. The amenities are amazing.Employees have constantly gone out of their way to help my husband and I with anything we need. Also, theyve started getting more strict about enforcing the smoking. Though we can still smell smoke in our apartment most days, the increase in efforts to eliminate it has helped.
I love living at Apex! Ive been here for over 2 years, considering upgrading to a different floorplan. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Maintenance issues have been corrected in a timely manner. Fire alarms do go off occasionally, but that has happened in every complex Ive lived in. The leasing office is great about scanning in packages quickly.
Current residence here so I felt it’s only right to post a valid yet reasonable and responsible response in my experience. This property has so much potential the quality has the potential to be there, but it’s the experience that really holds the disinterest in previous tenants and my (current tenant) experience. I can assure you I may be penalized for writing this review. However, I decided to move here from NYC so I didn’t really view and explore as I should’ve...The staff impacts tenant experience the most their attitudes and I don’t know if is the culture, but the inconsideration and communication is so offensive. It’s bad that we are demanded to pay or do certain things. They seem to like to use the contract agreement in every communication piece...when it comes to speaking to them over the phone or face to face ....it’s very bland with responses as if we’re bothersome or just a profit...If we’re treated as such..from corporate standards..I would at least like to have top tier staff in place..The residential agents in front house are super nice. It’s mostly the managers that are ruthless, rude and unavailable...not to ask for pity parties but the communication could be so much better! It’s the attitudes of “I’m in charge and what I says go or you can leave.”Security guards are always sleeping or having reckless conversations loudly in the halls...The gate isn’t always working and drug dealers are now lurking in the halls at night after dealings...Anyone can access the property. I had visitors that easily gotten inside of the building from a back way versus the entrance gate with no issues....There’s lots of complaints that can be made in regards to experience here...However, I just ask that the communication from local management improve...if it’s policy to structure communication in that manner... please revise! To tenants looking rather out of state or local.. the commute and restaurants are awesome! However there’s better options if you’re looking for experience to match the rent pay.Fees you’ll pay will accumulate to almost 1450..Dude you’re in Atlanta! If you want luxury apartments with luxury experience...Please look elsewhere, there’s better places out here.
An unsafe place to live, they break car windows to steal them multiple times each week, plus when you try to leave the property they try to squeeze every penni they can take from you
Accidentally left a watch in an short term rental. Maintenance Staff promptly contacted me to pick it up.Great Job Gobri
LOVE Apex West Midtown! The apartments are the most spacious that youll find for this price, especially located in a rapidly growing area such as West Midtown. Walking distance from Top Golf and the Westside Market, as well as the retail locations located downstairs (you also get a resident discount!!). The staff is great, they frequently host resident events and address any and all maintenance requests efficiently and as soon as possible!Any issues ive had living here have been addressed and resolved quickly, thankful to have a responsive office staff!
After living here for 6 months, we have endured so much. In the beginning it seemed like an amazing place. We were sold immediately very encouraged to move in. Ill give it props, it was great in the begining. However, since new managment has begun, there has still been a broken elevator for 5 months (still yet to been fixed) and I personally have medical problems. Yet, they make me use the stairs daily. In addition, there has been loud commotion and dog feces all through the hallway. We have experienced extreme leakage from the ceilings. Also two periods of time where we did not have heat during the winter for about 5 consecutive days and two consectuive days respectively. New management does not seem to mind these issues and we have yet to be in contact with the property manager that at this point seems to not exist. However, they still maintain community events, which seem more important than the living arrangements of their residents. And now the fire alarm went off throughout the whole building for a consecutive 25 minutes without warning of a drill or any explanation. We dont even have a fire evacation plan. Thank You
My girlfriend and I have lived here for two and a half years and this place is fantastic! The apartments themselves have a great upscale feel with the hanging lights, modern appliances and granite countertops. Great location with three restaurants /bars attached. We loved having these joints within stumbling distance of our front door. The office staff is really top notch as well. They really care about the tenants and go out of their way to help in any way they can to solve issues. Major props to Dustin especially! Move here. You wont be disappointed.
Dont live here unless you have nothing valuable. Thieves and criminals patrolling the parking garage. They stole my $70k car while the gate was broken down and security no where in site. Be warned they claim security is not part of your amenities. They will do nothing to take responsibility for their negligence!!! They are only out for the money and do not care about their residence!!!!! DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!!!!
This place is awful 0 stars if possible, everything they say is a lie when they are trying to get you to sign. They try to charge you for everything. They charged me and my roommate for noise and neither of us were in town for the said noise. Our AC broke 5 times and then once for a whole in the summer so we gave up and turned it off yet our bill was more than the previous months.
I am giving this 5 stars based on average apartments. It comes with the usual drawbacks that apartments have. The reason I gave it 5 stars is because of the leasing staff. Especially Tiffany and Dustin. They are the first leasing agents who actually seem to care about the residents. This is Apt # 5 for me, and the first that I have anything good to say about
Believe the reviews ! I moved in yesterday. And nothing was what they told me. Very unprofessional, I am currently looking for something else, they literally lie about everything to get you in.
I would never move here!I have been living here with my wife for the second yeah and this years utilities bill has DOUBLED since the same month last year! We asked management and they basically did NOTHING! We know that we are not the only ones and they even had a residents meeting that didnt change anything! We also know that management lies since that when we asked they said that its the provided and the previous owner signed for 40 years. No one signs a contract for 40 years! And when asking someone else from management they said that the contract is only for 3 years.
We generally enjoy living here, but the fire alarms go off very often, and it’s pretty jarring.
I LOVED living in APEX. The community was very friendly to residents and its pets. Amenities were always clean and worked. Very safe, I felt very protected even coming in the house past midnight. They have security guards sitting in their trucks and walking on foot. Never alot of noise, a bit of traffic from the retail places below our apartment, but the leasing office was ALWAYS super accomodating. I had a very hectic work schedule and would sometimes even deliver my packages inside of my apartment when I worked past the closing of the leasing office. I am moving out of my 2bd 2ba but I would absolutely keep this place in mind if I moved back into west midtown. Thanks APEX!
The fire alarms go off repeatedly throughout the day, even early hours of the morning. The leasing office does not notify the residents of any updates regarding the matter. I was informed today that someone is purposely pulling the alarm at 5 am. The alarm then went off three more times soon after. The landscaping team uses a leaf blower beginning at 8 am every Thursday. I have made numerous complaints to the leasing office, and have seen no results. I walked outside of my apartment to find dog feces in front of my door. This is a common thing.
Its alright. The mailing system though really needs improvement. If a big package comes, they dont call you up and will simply just send it back. I buy stuff from China and so I cant always check the tracking to see when its here but they dont even wait
My fiance and I moved in without ever seeing the apartment because we were looking for a place cheaper than our old place at 1016 Lofts but still in West Midtown. We took virtual tours via YouTube and saw a different model in person. Justin/Dustin and another young woman I cant recall were lovely throughout the process.1. I feel safe here. Im constantly seeing security guards walk the premises.2. 75% of dog owners do not pick up after their dogs. I wish management would become more strict about this.3. We are not bothered by noise, something I was worried about.4. Exercise room is just mediocre. Gets the job done but dont expect much space for your circuits.5. Best features of our 1BR = kitchen, closets, laundry closet. I will say that the kitchen and its granite countertops as well as our decent sized closets outweigh those of 1016.6. Pool chairs are nice. Never been overly crowded.7. Parking is terrible only after 9PM.8. Love Bone Lick underneath. Corner Tavern is OK. Monterrey is brand new. Having those, though, is a nice little treat. Top Golf (which should be done in August) will be walking distance!9. Utilities is tricky. We recommend turning off AC unit during the day and just using ceiling fan to keep air moving. However, we live on bottom floor so if you live on 5th floor, might not be able to do so. The bill was a significant difference after doing this for a month.10. Dont love it but the pros still outweigh the cons.
This place could be great, but is managed in a sub par fashion. Preventive measures are not taken and they will not offer any deductions for major inconvenience. I have had my air go out 6 times in four months. Im sitting in a hot box as I type this. The prices they are asking dont match the service rendered.
Wonderful leasing office staff. However, alI can smell in our hall way is WEED.
I just moved in August 2014 and I can not wait to move out!!!!!Argen Utilities the company that services Apex is ripping off residents with overpriced utilities without explanation, the elevators are always breaking down, fire alarms go off randomly at two and three o clock in the morning, and now they have new management who are changing the policies and threatening additional fees on top of the ridiculous charges they already charge us the valet trash is now charging a fee if our recyclables are not in trash bags are you serious???? trash bags are for trash!!!!! I am so fed up its like they are just trying to find anyway to get more money JUST STOP lastly dog lovers the dog park sucks its full of dog poop this place is nowhere near worth what you pay if you are looking for a great place to stay KEEP LOOKING unless you want to throwhundreds of thousands of your hard earned money away at this less than mediocre residence
Well theres a really cute lady that I enjoy visiting quite a bit so Im pretty big fan of this place.
Hot Water randomly stops working. Constant issues with the power going out. Rent went up $400 in a year. Im moving ASAP! Looks nice but its actually horrible
Dont waste your time or money. Unsafe, unprofessional. Maintenance left THEIR keys and I not aware, leave for work; they called REPEATEDLY stating we would be charged because HE left his keys as if thats our fault.. Ive been to the leasing office FOUR times about my key fob, mistakes on billing, water pipes busted for 3 days, elevator always down. And according to Dustin, I shouldnt be worried about water being down if Im not home. Well ignorant prick, Im home now!! And I was leaving work @ 2. Regardless, management knew YESTERDAY that they would have to reschedule plumbing services and sent out an email 17 mins prior. Completely incompetent. 1 computer, no microsoft, no printer, crumby fitness center. Amenities? Ha! The least they could do is be apologetic and friendly vs arrogant. Go down the street, ppl!
I lived at this complex for two years. I liked my physical apartment and the location of the complex. There was a period of time where every SINGLE Sunday the fire alarm would be set off- Apex could not figure out what was going on nor did we ever get an explanation. They would not offer discounts on rent either. The first instance it went off ALL NIGHT NON STOP and they couldnt turn it off. Not only was that traumatizing and ridiculous but the way they handled the situation was beyond embarrassing for them. However, thats how they handle all situations. One night there was a leak in the bedroom below mine on a different floor. Maintenance came up and knocked on my door until I WOKE UP to look in my bathroom and make noise as I am trying to SLEEP for a very minor drip in the apartment below. There was no flood, no pipe burst, just a small inconvenience for maintenance to wake up a paying, sleeping resident at 10 o clock at night to take a look in my bathroom. In my time here, I was over-charged for utilities for probably 24 months. I have moved into a bigger space and pay 1/4 of the cost of living through utilities. I moved out a month early and they sent me a utility bill for the month that NO water was turned on, NO electricity was turned on, and NO Sewage was used. That utility bill was over $200 for not even living there. You sign a contract here based on estimations of utilities. Do not be dumb enough to sign it like I was. Spend some extra time and find some place new. I am 10 to 1 happier now that I have moved out of this money sucking, fire alarm setting apartment complex. Take my advice and learn from my mistakes- RUN.
The leasing office people are friendly and the maintenance comes quick.
I lived at Apex for almost a year (1br/1ba). The experience was less than stellar. I moved ITP to have the experience of living in the city, but I felt like there were a lot of issues that are simply created because of the construction of the complex. There were at least 5 fire alarms that occurred over the year with about half occurring during the middle of the night. The gates were always breaking. Parking for guests is just not an option. If you plan to have a party or a lot of company, your guests are going to have issues. Also, the weekend before I left, there were several car break-ins and muggings right outside of my window. I woke up at 7am to hear and see the Atlanta Police Department helicopter circle the complex across the street looking for a suspect while I could also see the busted car window and couple in the streets by their car. I would be very wary considering there is on-site security 24/7. I thought it was a nice thing to have at the beginning, but now I see that there were simply that many crimes occurring close by that it was basically a requirement.I could hear ALL of my neighbors on all sides of me as well as those out on the streets. The baby crying to my left with the parents yelling. The dance party upstairs. The gamer downstairs. The drunk patrons on the streets. There was never silence during the week or weekend.Pay attention to the layout of the apartment you are getting in relation to your neighbors. My bedroom was beside the living room of my neighbor, so I could always hear the TV playing or them yelling if I was trying to go to bed early.Door slamming is constant, but its nice to know the door will always close behind you. You are also close to a freight yard so you will always hear the trains horns blowing as they come into the yard - at all hours. There was not a lot of storage for linens and such, but ample kitchen cabinet storage. Walk-in closet was reasonable in size. Prior to moving in, my carpet had not been replaced from the previous tenant, but was still in reasonable condition. You could tell it had been lived in.Ants were a constant issue - especially in the bathroom of all places.I would not recommend this place to any of my friends, and Im thankful Im finally out of there.
Apex is a very poor place to live. It is largely beyond the control of the apartment complex managers, In 6 months Ive lived here, 2 people on my hallway have had their door kicked and were robbed. Additionally, fire alarms regularly go off for no reason, and my roommates motorcycle was stolen in the day time despite there being a security guard on duty.
I have lived at Apex for a year and a half now and recently just renewed my lease for another year. The apartments are great quality for the price, the amenities including the pool, workout room, and dog walk are great, and Teri, Tim, and the entire staff are so helpful and nice. There are monthly resident activities including cookouts, pool tournaments, even a chili cookoff. We also have great events with the neighboring Apex shops... can we say best 4th of July party ever, Bonelick BBQ?! Also in close proximity to the stellar shops, restaurants, and bars of West Midtown, I just cant see myself living anywhere else!
Of all the apartment communities I have lived in in Atlanta, I think this might be one of the worst.Lets start off with Argen, the third party utilities company. When moving in, we were told that utilities would be around 150 a month (pretty standard for Atlanta) but instead they were between 250-350 every month, even during the winter months when we turned off all A/C and heat. When Argen came to the complex for a townhall style meeting to answer our questions, they made many promises about looking into meters and getting in touch with us about our issues but did not do any of the things they said. The most aggravating part to me was that the meeting took place in the leasing office, but none of the staff attended the meeting to address our concerns about Argen and answer our questions (they were all hanging out inside the managers office)!During the move in process we signed a lease for a specific apartment we visited, and in between that day and the day we moved in they changed apartments not once but twice! The apartment we moved into had barely been readied for move-in, and though we had been promised new carpets the carpets in this apartment had only been cleaned (that did not stop them from charging us $450 to replace the carpets when moving out)There was also a period of 3 month were the fire alarms would pretty much go off every Sunday from 1am to 5am, sometimes multiple times! The whole complex is also riddled with dog crap from owners who cant be bothered to clean up after their pets, which makes this place not only metaphorically, but also literally crappy.Thought the apartments were nice, the leasing office is run by people who do not care about their tenants issues and seem to shrug off every issue as it does not affect them!My happiest memory at that complex was the day I moved out, knowing that I would no longer have to deal with a staff that is either blatantly incompetent or simply does not care (and that I would no longer have to deal with Argen).P.S. The only staff in that complex who did seem to care about their tenants and their jobs were the maintenance staff. Nothing but good things to say about them.
Been staying at apex for 2 years now hate that the walls are so thin you can hear everything and my car got booted an i live here boot company say take it up with management and management say take it up with boot company no one want to take responsibility for me having to pay $75 for boot soooooooo ready to move got security that walk around all day not doing anything but on there phones and smoking all day horrible place to stay i would not recommend for NO ONE!!!!!!!!
