My mother has been living in these apartments for almost a year and it has gone downhill tremendously since she moved in. There are humongous RATS living around/in the trash area! Trash is often thrown on the ground due to people being scared to walk up to it. The breezeways are disgusting and the maintenance turn around time is a joke! They replace broken things with inexpensive parts that don’t even match what was previously there, as pictured below. The leasing office employees are kind, however they are very unprofessional. My mother living here has honestly been a nightmare and if you’re looking to move here I would strongly suggest moving elsewhere!
I moved here in January of this year. I am very happy I chose to live here. The area is very quiet and most everything you need is in a close distance. The staff is wonderful. I am a senior and Dawn the Office Assistant helped with finding the right place for me. She made it possible for me to get a unit that fit my needs and it was ready sooner. I really appreciate her for that. It really makes everyday life easier. Anything that is needed in my unit all the staff are quickly available to take care of it for me. My plan is to live here for a very long time.
I moved here after having a move-in problem with a nearby apartment complex. I’m so grateful I made the switch! I’ve been living here for almost a year and I love my apartment. The balcony and wood burning fireplace are a gift. Plus, in the office, Dawn is the best! Whatever I need is handled with efficacy and care.
I lived here for 6months and just recently moved. I was very satisfied during my time here. The complex was relatively clean with the exception of some my neighbors. The front office staff was helpful and always tried to keep tenants informed. Maintenance, when I needed it, was prompt and usually got everything fixed within a day. I was slightly disappointed with condition of some amenities such as the pool or business center, but they were still available for use. The parking was limited around my building. The area is very nice and has a lot convenient shopping is nearby. Sad I had to move but it was enjoyable.
This location is perfect for my commute to work. The area is clean and the apartments are spaces. The stuff (especially Dawn) is very helpful and detailed. I highly recommend making this place your home!
Regret moving here .front staff is friendly and nice but nothing seems to be getting done. Have to call multiple times to fix anything. The stairs are soo dirty and and unstable. Model home is NOTHING like the actual apartments. Actual apartment has carpet not hardwood. Parking is also an issue.
Dawn Adam is very helpful when call upon needing the help that I needed, she very professional an her job, she also is a very caring woman whenever I cal her she’s is very happy to help you! She a great person to working in the office!
If I could give this apartment complex a zero I would. The lack of communication is astounding. The staff is unhelpful, rude, and unorganized. Our apartment was loud and full of roaches and the amenities were sub-par. Their lease tricks you into clauses that take your money upon move-out. I hope Briarhill is happy with themselves in being so inflexible and rude to a healthcare worker who was renting during a pandemic.
I lived at this apartment complex for about 1.5yrs before I had to leave for a new job in a different state.Pros: Good price, barely any maintenance issues, very friendly maintenance guys and office staff (if you treat them well, theyll treat you well), only 4 roach appearances in 1.5 years (which is surprisingly little considering the area and being on a ground floor apartment), quite nice looking apartment with updated shower that made me feel like I was in a nice hotel initially, friendly neighbors for the most part, and a great location! Very safe, secluded feeling apartment in the middle of North Druid Hills area. I accidentally left my keys (including car keys) in my door from 3pm-7am and no one broke into my apartment or stole my car, even though the keys were pretty obvious.Cons: The gates were wide open occasionally, mostly due to residents ramming the gate and breaking it. Honestly would have preferred no gates than that hassle, especially after paying an extra $50 for the back gate key fob. Walls/doors are thin, so I could hear every single footstep from upstairs (also had heavy-footed upstairs neighbors), and a very barky dog next door (that I could hear clearly through my front door when I was in the living room). The parking is a little wonky, and no one knows how to properly park in these spaces. Expect a few door dings living here. Also, cars fly around the corners inside the complex, and Im honestly surprised no one ever hit me around one of those blind curves.Overall, I had a pretty decent experience at this complex, and would recommend to anyone who wants a very reasonably priced apartment complex for the area. Nice people, good living space.
Very disappointed I am I first arrived and the gate was open! I called about two days ago and set up an appointment for today Sunday at 2 PM. I was told upon rival that I should call management and tell them I’m here and they’ll tell me where to go. When I walked in the management office after calling 10 times I realize there was nobody there. The management was not there but the doors are unlocked for anybody to come in and intrude. Anybody’s information to their apartment or any leasing information could have been stolen. for these reasons I will not be even trying to tour this apartments again. If you would like to see my experience I posted a YouTube video about it. If you are looking to lease an apartment here do not even try it it’s not worth it. I am a visitor out of town so I’m very upset because I spent $25 to get here and it was worth nothing! This place is not secure at all!!! If I could give a rate of zero I would!
Ive lived here for over a month and I feel like Im family with the management and staff. When I first moved in my apartment wasnt perfect but they did everything they could to make it right and I was compensated for the problems. The location is terrific. And the free internet and cable alone make it worth taking a look at. All in all Im happy here and will probably renew my lease.
I like this apartment complex. This is in the top three of my apartment list for Atlanta. SN: Ive lived in seven different complexes since 2015. Dont ask but just know Ive lived in a variety of communities.Heres my break down of Briarhill Apartments:Maintenance- The complex is maintained and if theres any maintenance related issue, they are very prompt to address it.Office people- very helpful and pleasantAmenities- pool is nice; have yet to try the other amenitiesParking- parking is tough if you have a truck at times. Can find parking but may not be right by your building.Interior- its an older community but still is kept up. Is spacious.Landscaping-very nice; well maintainedTrash- havent seen it get too badPrice- good for areaNoise-Mixed community but mostly 23 and up on age. Not many kids.Pet stuff- dont have a pet so unsure about this areaNeighborhood- very walkable; no need to drive in youre up for the walk of courseAlso, cable and internet is free.😎Overall, this is a good place to live. I recommend you stay here.
Not bad if u need to be n the city
I am trying to relocate from Florida and Dawn and everyone else in the office has made the process really smooth and easy. Great location and apartments look very nice and even include the washer dryer and cable/internet. Can’t wait to move in!
Lived there a few months in a corporate apartment. The staff was excellent. I had issues with one tenant. They resolved it wonderfully. The place is beautiful. There is a car wash in the back. Great pool and picking area. Gated and secure. I was sad when I had to move.
Antwoin Javier and Scott have been very helpful in my move. Super friendly and professional. Love my new apartment.
I had to give them 1 star to right my complaint. I am sad to say how unprofessional this staff is. The management I dealt with were not only rude and abrasive they extremely unprofessional. The gentleman there not only tried to intimate me being a smaller female, he showed me the nice place then in-turn wanted me to rent the disgusting apartment, he had the nerve to tell me that I wouldnt get my deposit back. I have a RENTERS BEWARE I REALLY DID NOT WANT TO PUT A SINGLE STAR :-)
The worst experience when I stopped by, the manager just give few information at the door, very bad attitude, I’m glad I’m not living there.
Ive lived in Briarhill Apartments for five years going on 6 this year and it has been the best experience. Anytime I have a issue with my apartment and I put in a maintenance order it gets token care of right away. Like today I called in and spoke with Christ about a issue with my shower. He was very polite and put my order in and stated the mantaince would be there today to fix while Im at the grocery store so they could have that social distance while they fix my shower head. I truly appreciate everyone that work for Briarhill Apartments because they are always nice and take good care of their residents. Thanks guys!Tanisha Henry
Im a UBER driver and this place was clean and nice as far as I could see.
My wife and I moved to Atlanta just about 2 years ago. It can be stressful trying to find a place to live when your only option is to do so online from across the country. From the moment we got in communication with the folks here, they were super helpful and responsive. They made our move in pretty pain free. The management here has always been there for us, and are quick to help us when weve had minor issues in our apartment. When we wanted to move into a bigger place, they didnt hesitate to accommodate us.The maintenance crew is the best around. These folks work hard everyday to get things done around here and keep things operating. We very much appreciate them and all of the work they do.Parking: Theres lots of spaces here, some of them are kind of tight, but weve never had an issue. Theres a security gate on both ends of the complex, and we never have to worry about our cars being broken into. (Not saying it wont happen, it is just not a worry of ours).Trash: My only wish here is that we had somewhere to put our recyclables. Theres a couple places nearby that you can do that at though.Theres a couple nice open courtyard areas where folks can hang out and bbq. The pool is open and they keep it clean.Neighbors are friendly, the area is safe and walkable, its pet friendly. The apartments are spacious. The building is not the newest however, they do a good job at up-keeping them. The walls are kind of thin so you will definitely hear your neighbors at times. Living in a communal space though, its pretty much what you would expect. #ApartmentLifeOverall, we have enjoyed our time here, and as mentioned, the front office and maintenance workers are great people and they do a great job making you feel at home.
TRASH. Please avoid this place.Roaches everywhere. My car was towed by the apartment once because I renewed the license sticker couple days late. Imagine your home towing your car when the police did not.Had about 30 mainteance requests during my stay here. Everything is constantly breaking.Squeaking sound from upper level thats been driving me crazy everyday.Never a friendly staff when you needed them. Always has that face which is not a smiling one.Dont live here if you saw this post, plenty of choices nearby.
I moved into Briarhill Apartments a little over a month ago. Move in went smooth with the office and signing the lease. The office and maintenance staff is very friendly and helpful. If you put in a request it gets done as soon as possible. The neighbors are very nice and it is located in a safe neighborhood. This apartment complex was recommended to me by 2 friends and I highly recommend it to everyone.
I spoke with Chris on a Friday. Very informative, made sure i was comfortable. Very helpful, and overall very nice. Great customer service.
There has been so many great changes since my Move in at Briarhill in 2016. New paint job, security patrol, cleaner grounds. There have been some changes to office staff but Malcolm and Annette are familiar faces. They both i believe have had a positive impact on community. The two agents up front are very warm, young, and bubbly (very different than previous staff). I haven’t met the new manager yet hopefully i have a chance to interact with her at some point. Overall I am very pleased with my stay at Briarhill this past year.
Had some issues initially. However, the issues were eventually addressed and handled appropriately by the property manager and her staff. Since then, service has been attentive, personal, and timely. I can tell that the management and staff are truly trying to improve quality and speed of service. Communication with staff as of late has been pleasant, attentive, and personal. I’m glad to see that actions/steps are finally being taken to make Briarhill a nice place to live, and I hope it continues!
I absolutely love my new apartment! My leasing representative, Kasharre, was the best ever!!! She made my move-in so very easy and fun. My unit was really clean and nice. She and the entire office staff were always so very helpful and accommodating. Thanks guys!Happy Tenant
AMAZING year here! Clean, no bugs. Having people over for some complexes can be an issue with visitor parking, not for here. So close to everything. Emory shuttle comes nearby. Extremely Convenient and Affordable!! They include free cable too! Maintenance requests completed super fast and in a timely manner. They put everything back and if there happens to be a spill or dust from fixing the issue like a vent or the sink, they clean it up before they leave! On top of things, checking fire alarms, updating air vents. Kirtia is amazing! Super nice and easy to talk to. Helped through the entire leasing process. They were very straightforward about the move out process, and it was super easy. Kirtia responded super fast, and answered all my questions!! I only left because of job placement, but if I could have stayed, I would have. I would go back in a heartbeat.
Absolutely love living here! Going on 4.5 years and it keeps getting better! New floors, paint jobs, renovations and a much better maintenance department. Staff are so friendly (especially Malcom!) and they’re always doing fun events to engage neighbors. May not ever leave!
Wow! What a great experience! I recently visited Briarhill Apartments in Atlanta, GA and met the most colorful, professional, and welcoming people ever! The first name that comes to mind is Derek (I believe he was the On-Site Mgr). This guy not only was able to answer all of my inquiries regarding the property, he was full of knowledge regarding the area (Eateries, Places to visit, and Shopping). I went there looking for an Apartment but, I think I might have just gained a Friend! Although I was just visiting and checking out the area, it was apparent that Derek and the Staff at Briarhill Apartments are courteous, friendly, fun, knowledgeable, and professional.I have plans to return to GA soon and this complex is first on my list. By the way, the Apartments are in great condition, the amenities are nice, and the grounds and noise level are palatable.Looking to relocate soon...I would suggest checking this place out because of its affordability, location, and staff.
I actually passed by Briarhill on my way to view another community and decided to stop. Im actually glad that I did. When I walked in the staff greeted me immediately. They were able to answer my questions about what was close by to the property and transit options. I was also pleased with how well the community looked. The overall visit definitely convinced me that my search was over.
The STAFF as a whole are amazing !! special thanks to chris, tia, scott, & annette for the great customer service ! highly recommend others to shop for apartments at this location!!!
I moved here in March and so far I have loved everything about my apartment and the Briarhill community (and the free TV and WiFi are the icing on the cake). During the current Covid-19 crisis the office has been closed, but they’re still here running the place and answering my calls/emails. I still see maintenance around and working away. Chris, Antwoin, Scott, Kirtia, and Annette have all been so helpful and made me feel like family. I met a neighbor who has been here for almost 20 years, and I can understand why. They seem to really mean it when they said “welcome home.”
Online ordering can sometimes become a hassle when tracking the package or mistakes made by the carrier cause delays or even loss of your order. I purchased a floor rug from Amazon that was to be delivered by USPostalService. When USPS delivers to Briarhill they do not take the packages directly to resident doors (only Amazon, UPS, and FedEx extend that curtesy). USPS leaves their packages at the front office. Usually if it is a large package the front office staff will call the resident to come retrieve their package. My floor rug was scheduled to deliver on April 22, by April 25th I had not received a call so I called the front office. They kind staff let me know that there was a rug delivered but it was larger in size and brown (mine was 5x8 Blue). They even extended the confirmation by calling other resident to ensure that the rug that was delivered was indeed a different rig and not mine. That was very helpful! During the next USPS delivery the front office staff talked with the Mail Woman who regularly delivers mail to Briarhill and learned that there were some packages being held at the post office. More helpful information! After visiting the post office and not getting a direct answer to where my rug was located, the Briarhill Front Office Staff assured me that they will continue to help identify where it could be. Eventually I had to order a second replacement rug from Amazon. When it arrived, the front office staff called me immediately. This is one of those situations that could become very frustrating, but I really appreciate how the Briarhill staff were committed to helping me find what I purchased as their way of taking care pf their residents!
The service is amazing. My move-in process was quick and easy. I was out of state and struggling to find a new place and I came across this one and I’m more than happy. They have complimentary WiFi and cable that comes with moving in. I would highly recommend this complex to anyone.
I toured at Briarhill apartments a few weeks ago when I was in Atlanta job hunting, while things didnt work out for me in Atlanta, I did want to say that my experience there was memorable and I would have definitely moved there! The leasing consultants tour was very informative, the assistant & manager were pleasant & took the time to introduced themselves to me and I even met a resident on my way out that gave high reviews of the staff and the property! Definitely recommend you checking them out!
I moved a person from these apts. The layout was good, entry required a gate code. The complex was accessible and the grounds were well kept.
I am a current resident of Briarhill Apartments and have been for 2 years! The new management team and staff have been nothing short of accommodating, professional, and pleaseant to deal with. They have made various noticeable improvements to the property and upkeep. It is quiet and conveniently locates to everything! I look forward to renewing my lease and watching more greatness unfold! Thank you Briarhill! 🥂
Lived here for about a year. Overall was okay for the price...could have been better, but also could have been worse.Pros:-Location: theres a lot within easy walking distance of here, as well numerous connections to public transit via nearby MARTA and Emory shuttle bus stops; located conveniently very near major highways-Safety: pretty safe area of town for the most part-Free cable and Internet-Gated parking-Relatively good price and apt layout for the location-Free car wash/vacuum station within complex-BBQ area with tables in complexCons:-Sound insulation is basically nonexistent. You will hear almost any noise from outside and from the nearby interstate as if your windows were wide open. Also, you will easily hear noises from adjoining apartments due to, as I had personally experienced from my neighbors who liked to stay up very late talking at a loud volume and playing loud music at times.-The maintenance team is relatively good with fixing minor apartment issues (leaks, clogs, etc.), but had issues fixing more complex problems at times, and they have a tendency to mark work orders as complete even if the issue is not really fixed.-Gym is very small and gets crowded easily
This is a great place to live and great community. I’ve been here for two years now. The staff is really helpful with requests and have completed any services I have needed in a timely manner..
I toured an apartment with Derek a couple months ago and he was so helpful and pleasant. He answered all my questions and was very thorough. I absolutely loved the property as well as his professionalism! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Had a very strange experience visiting this place. I wanted information about leasing a 2 bedroom and pretty much had to drag it out of the woman who was not interested in talking to me. Perhaps because I look young? She showed me floor plans and after an awkward silence where she did not offer, I asked to see a unit. In the unit there was a bug in the sink. She said oh, its dead, its been there for a while, which made me wonder why no one cleaned it up. Then she went to get it, and it ran away. I went into the bathroom and turned on the fan, which made a loud whirring noise. The other bathroom did the same. This unit contained updated appliances, which didnt look very nice. I asked about crime and she told me to call the police department because she legally couldnt tell me anything. The next complex I visited told me this was a lie. There were so many red flags, I wouldnt risk moving there.
I have lived at Briarhill Apartments for about 3 months now. I really like it here! The location is perfect, takes less that 15 minutes to get anywhere. I looked at over a dozen intown apartments and this is the best value for the money. I love the patio and the view of the trees. The office personnel are friendly. I have lived in many apartment complexes and Daniel and Joe, the maintenance guys, are extraordinary. They are very responsive and have gone out of their way many times to help us out.
Let me tell you about moving into Briarhill Apartments. It was literally the nicest, most helpful, caring leasing experience I’ve ever had. I couldn’t believe the amazing price, especially for the area. Kasharre and Kirtia were incredible, and were highly friendly and professional. This was recommended to me by a friend and I would definitely recommend to others as well. If you are looking for a good price AND a helpful, efficient front office staff....you need to look into these apartments. I assure you I do not work here and was not paid to write this review, this is 100% accurate and from the heart. Thank you again for all of the help! I’m looking forward to my next year here.
Very rude staff in the leasing office who are not willing to go out of their way for residents. Annette however, is wonderful. Everyone else needs an attitude adjustment.
After 2 months of living here, i have notice that there are so many things to improve, first of all there is dog poop everywhere, you must hire someone to clean it and install more pet waste stations, there is no follow up on maintenance requests, the wall paint at my apartment is falling i request it to be fix 2 weeks ago and nobody has come to do it!3rd whenever i received a package nobody notifies about, the car wash area doesnt work, no vacuum and no enough water pressure to use it.There are cockroaches at the balcony areas, probably because all the dog poop on common areas.Definitely this apartment complex has a lot of work to do but overall i like my apartment, i honestly hope the owners or management office read this and do something about it.
The parking here is horrible. Good luck trying to get a spot near your apartment after a certain time. I definitely won’t be renewing my lease.
Move in process was a breeze and Chris Ivey did an amazing job throughout! Im excited about Brairhill Apartment - thank you
My fiancee A/C went out, and within 3 hrs. they installed a new system. During the delay the maintenance guy Andrally was very cordial and gave us a portable system. Thank you all for quick service. Tony
The manager, Melvin Coleman is awesome! Greeted me and came out of his office to make me feel welcome and answer any questions I had. Nice location, clean and nice floor plans!
They will be very serious when collecting your money for the monthly payments but not that serious making sure you receive yours. I left the apartment complex two months ago after living there for one year and still havent seen a $$ from my initial deposit which I was supposed to fully receive.
The manager Sabrina is very rude... the leasing office is normally open on Saturdays and I’m assuming because there was a pool party for the residents, she decided to close the leasing office. I asked politely if I could get a package that I needed and all she did was point at the sign as if I couldn’t read, and slam the door in my face after saying “my office is closed and no I will not get your package for you.”
Ive lived in this complex for 2 years and I really enjoy living here. The staff is friendly and are quick to respond to any maintenance requests. The complex is quiet and the location is superb.
I had a hard time in my life the year I arrived. This staff helped in every way to see that I was taken care of within their power all year. That would sell any person on living here. Its clean, quiet and every time I had a concern, they were RIGHT ON IT!!!....Thank you family, for everything!!
The most horrible living experience I’ve ever had, our apartment were MICE AND MOLDED INFESTED!! The office says they will talk care of it but never actually come and do anything, I literally had to go out and by my own mice traps !!!! It was the worse . . There are multiple drug dealers who live in the complex, one day i came out the apartment and there were tons of cops and snipers everywhere for one apartment!!! Also around Christmas I saw the police arrest atleast 10 squatters (homeless people living in vacant apartments) it was the worse they have had so many different managers I hope one day they will get it under control .and not to mention the whole time I was living there the gates were broken .
Absolutely a Wonderful Place to call home and live with an Amazing office team to better make you feel more settled in and at home to where youll never want to leave... :-)
I went to Briarhill tour because I am considering relocating to the Atlanta area. I was greeted warmly upon arrival by the property manager and was treated with the upmost courtesy and respect by the friendly staff there! Thank you so much for the tour youve made my decision so much easier!
The entire time I stayed at Briarhill I was constantly getting issues with my AC and water heater. Water was also seeping into my living room from some old underground pipe. I complained to leasing office many of times. Their response was always super slow and the staff is rude. Other residents in my building were having similar issues, too. I use to live close to the dumpster and the odour coming from the dumpster is almost always so unpleasant for residents that live nearby. If you choose to move here, don’t stay close to the dumpster! Forgot to mention that there’s always issues with parking. Most of the time, I’m forced to park in a nearby church outside the apartment. Only good thing there for me was the closeness to Emory
Very friendly staff, clean, affordable apartments, the grounds are kept up very well. In a great part of town that is quiet and comfortable.
I am a former resident and the office staff was so polite. Maintenance always took care of my work orders within 24 hours. I would recommend this complex.
Yall, I cant believe how sweet the front office is! We are moving in tomrrow and I had a surprise in our apartment when we went to look at it before we moved in!Love the location!
Apartments looks nice BUT MICE MICE MICE infestation in apartment. MOLD ISSUES ETC .Management is horrible. They are sweet. But dont care about issues you have. Takes weeks to months to do anything and gives you the run around over and over and over. I do not recommend at all. Its awful
I personally do not like to always rely on negative online reviews because most times, things may have improved afterwards. Sometimes, reviews also reflect the reviewers personality issues. Additionally, the management staff in charge as at when the review was done may have been upgraded to a more responsible one. I am pleased with the current management.
I had a package that was lost. Fedex told me it had been delivered, but it was not at my door or leasing office. The leasing office located my delivery at the wrong apartment door and had it put into my home. I was really surprised that they would even place it in my home. Life Savers!Only negative thing is that the car wash has not worked since I moved in and there has not been any update if it will ever be fixed. Other than that its been great here.
I went to Briarhill looking for a 2 bedroom. The leasing consultant was very knowledgeable and friendly. I felt very welcomed as I was met by the property manager, Niesha Goodwin.
Took A Tour Last month of Briarhill apartments And All I Can Say Is The Customer service was outstanding ! The Assistant Derek is full of good energy and helpful in all areas. I was actually very impressed with the establishments whole team including matnience and can not wait to come back the end of this month to lease from them.
I love living at Briarhill! Management always takes care of my needs and Tia is awesome!!
Lived here for two years and I have had no problems with my apartment. Malcolm has done a fantastic job with communicating with myself.
Had great experiences at the briarhill apts. Very clean and Well kept. The staff is well trained and has great customer service skills.
Didnt get to tour the apartment but wouldnt recommend anyone visit just based on that experience. Got lost getting there due to an issue with where the GPS drops off and a the lady on the phone got an attitude with me. Got there before 5 but was told I couldnt be given a tour. I asked for some information and waited 18 minutes with no help. Another potential renter came in and was aided immediately... Also it was clear that they lose mail as multiple residents were there having to seek out packages that they had received. If this is how they treat prospective renters, I cant imagine how they treat residents...
Very nice leasing office staff! Any work order or requests were completed effeciently!
My experience at Briar Hill apartments has been a great one. The property is well maintained. The maintenance staff are prompt with responding to my work orders and the office staff is very professional and friendly.
I was thinking about moving here until I saw the reviews about the bugs, mice and mold and leaks😩😩😩 goodness gracious
Rented an apartment here for a few months and it was lovely. Great location. The apartment staff was very helpful.
The staff was great, Kasharre was very helpful and patient answering all the questions we had. The community seems to be well taken care of and quiet.
UPDATE: The reason there was mold on our bathroom ceiling is because the shower from the apartment above us was not sealed correctly. By not sealed correctly, I mean that they cut a hole in the ceiling and there was water damaged wood, and you could see water running (not trickling drops!) down the wall. Its been about a week without being able to use that shower, and yesterday maintenance apparently came in to seal in the hole in the bathroom above us. Wood scraps all over the tub and floor. The hole in the ceiling has been making us cough but we have also not received further contact apologies or expected dates on when this will be fixed on our end. It seems my original pictures were removed but I will add them again and the new ones. The water one was a video which showed just how much water was coming down but since videos cant be posted, hopefully the screenshot can illustrate the problem....Luxury blackmold apartments. Its causing respiratory issues but have yet to get even a call back from maintenance. Everytime you run more than one appliance (washer and microwave) the lights flicker in our apartment.
Kirtia Jackson is AWESOME so helpful and patient Made this process of moving so easy.
I lived here for about a year, zero complaints. Respectful, accommodating, and professional staff, clean units, ample parking, now free internet and wifi?!, convenient location, pet friendly, and fair price. Definitely recommend.
Ive only been here for 3 days & I love it the staff is amazing anything Ive needed they have been on it. I love it my baby loves it....if you are looking for a nice place to raise your family I recommend here
We just got our keys and Kasharre and Kirtia were super helpful getting us through the process. We are excited to be moving in here!
It is my pleasure to thanks kirtia for helping me to get this apartment, she was professional and very helpful and to make sure I understand all my requirements, if anyone need an apartment I advise to contact kirtia, she going to help you,
I do not, nor have I ever lived here. We wanted to, but our application was denied. That seems to have been for the best, because every interaction with this complex has been awful. They lied to us about how and why our application was denied. I also now receive unending emails from their online portal despite repeated attempts to be removed from their system. We liked the floor plan of the two bedroom, but I should say when we looked at the model, the kitchen was almost comically small and there was... Evidence that bugs roamed the building. Dont waste your time.
I dont usually write reviews, but I figured after living here for so long, Ill do it for this place. I have read some reviews on here and want to post something to steer people away from listening to the NEGATIVE comments.I have lived here for over a year and will be extending my lease again. I LOVE this community. Its location is so ideal. Its basically equidistant to every ATL neighborhood. The pricing is great compared to other communities in the area, but keep in mind, it is a little older and you get what you pay for....but it could definitely use a few more renovations. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. Maintenance fixes any issues I have within 48 hours.....there were a few instances where it took a week but that was because certain things had to be ordered. The community is clean. I will say though, I wish the kitchens were a little larger (hard for two people to cook at once), I wish the kitchen and bathroom were more updated (granite countertops or some knockoff stuff that looks like it, etc.), and I wish the gym had more ellipticals instead of that broken bike. Otherwise, I dont have any complaints.Overall, this place is cozy, I feel safe (even when the gates are broken sometimes), and I am glad to call this my home for now. :)
Dont live here unless you want your bathroom flooded and you dont want your securty deposit back. I moved out in April and have still not received my security deposit due to a lack of organization on the part of the leasing office. They repiped last year and cut a hole in my roof and flooded my bathroom. It took them three weeks to fix it. Stay away from this place. There are much better options on Sheridan.
Through the interview, tour, and application process the front offic has been respectful, knowledgeable, and competent. They made the process easier than many other apartment sevices
I lived here for a year. The apartment was ok, but a little rough around the edges. I am giving this review 3 stars because the location for the apartment was good and the leasing office staff was decently attentive when you went to speak to them in person. I had the following issues:1. Emails went unanswered for 7-8 months. That is not an exaggeration. I emailed twice between January 2016 and the end of my lease in August, and those emails were never answered. One of these was regarding a safety issue.2. Maintenance was nice and relatively prompt but permanently solved only 60-ish% of my issues. I was once told I was receiving a replacement sink, so they disconnected my sink and forgot about it. I had to contact them to remind them that I had no working sink in the bathroom. They then spray painted the entire sink white (including the drain stopper) and left that original sink in place for the remainder of my lease.I had two issues regarding the community:1. This is a very loud complex, even compared to dorm-style university housing. This might not be the case for all buildings, but it was certainly the case in the ones surrounding mine.2. Pet owners did not pick up after their pets regularly. My dog contracted a parasite from the droppings, and it did not resolve until I moved.UPDATE: I see that Briarhill has responded to my review. Some of the facts of their responses are inaccurate so I have addressed them below for those who are interested in seeing the whole picture.1. The unanswered emails were sent to the briarhill@morguard email address that management suggested they should have been sent to in their response below.2. The disconnected sink incident occurred as part of my initial move in during August 2015. The clogged sink incident they referenced below did occur, but was not connected to the issue I referenced in my initial review.
Great apt. My friends stay here and looove it. Just need to get those leaves out the pool
I moved in about 3 months ago with my fiancé. We love it here so far. Very close to Emory campus and there is an Emory shuttle stop right behind the complex. I was so shocked by the free internet!!! Oscar, Malcolm, and Kirtia are the Best!
These apartments are disgusting. My friend lived here and had black mold growing from her shower ceiling, despite numerous calls to the office and to maintenance ...no one fixed it. There is little to no parking for residents as well as patrons. Management and the office team have terrible people and customer service skills. Anytime you call to get information they out you on hold and hang up on you!YOU ARE BETTER OFF LIVING ON THE STREETS!!They also screwed over my friend Luis Conde.
I’ve been living here four years now, friendly staffs and very professional, when you have problems they try their best to handle it in a timely fashion. Overall I’ll recommend this place to anybody
Wouldnt live here for free. You dont even get what you pay for. We had A/C leaks and breakdown for months and they dont come fix it. No hot water for weeks and they dint come fix it. Every appliance (dishwasher, fridge, stove, dryer) either leaked or broke down and all had to be replaced after weeks of pressuring them. They wont do anything on their own. The gay fat dude will just look at your and nod his head while thinking of what eyeliner hes gonna wear tomorrow. They were supposed to replace the padding in our carpets two weeks ago and they still havent come. Every time we go remind them they say someone will be there that day or the next. Lol as soon as you walk into that leasing office you see the most inept group of people youre ever gonna come across. And to top it off we had to pay over $100 to control the crazy giant cockroach infestation in our apartment. You just cant make this stuff up. Lmao its almost funny how trash they are.
Weve only been living here for a few months but the best apartment Ive lived in Atlanta thus far! The staff at the leasing office are so warm and welcoming, but the maintence guys Joe and Daniel are the absolute best!!! Any problem weve had they have been here in a the matter of hours! They are fast, efficient and just the friendliest guys! Joe has helped me bring large packages to my apartment. And Daniel once showed up within to 30 minutes of calling at 10 pm with new batteries for our thermostat. Theyve really completely changed my view on apartment living. Will not be leaving Briairhill anytime soon because of those guys!
Please don’t pay the comments any mind, these apartments are nice ! I haven’t seen any pest of any sort. It’s also quite, nobody bothers you, and the neighbors are friendly.
Management has gotten extremely better and are more than friendly!
This place is a joke! Literally everything you can think of goes wrong here. In the summer i was without AC for 3 months. Today 1/31/2018 the whole apartment complex has been without water for two days. They don’t care and they ignore you when things get really bad. This company really needs to do something to compensate the people staying here. The office purposely ignored there residences phone calls because they claimed to have had too many calls coming in. Well duhhhhhhh we been without water for more then 24 hours! Oh and lord forbid you go in the office to get even just a package good luck getting in and out of there. These are just a few things, there are many more.
This place is a joke. It has relatively high rent because of its location, but there is absolutely nothing fancy about this place. Hot water goes out at least 2 times a month. YES THATS RIGHT no hot water. AC vent/filter is disgusting, and the maintenance is mediocre at best. Takes them a week to get anything fixed, without exaggeration. If it is fixed, it is likely to malfunction again very soon. I dont have hot water for the second time this month, and while I am at work, the maintenance tells ME to call THEM when I get home because NO ONE has the key to get inside of the apartment. I think I have made my point here.
Don’t be fooled by the new colorful paint work, this is a very old apartment where you’ll experience regular water intrusion and a variety of issues.Pros: Briarhill is close to everything in the ATL area, midtown, downtown, Lenox Mall, Piedmont Park, you name it.It’s also in a walk-friendly neighborhood. Throughout my stay here, I always felt safe and there’s a routine security patrol at night.Cons: Problem with Briarhill is the management. During my stay here, I dealt with four managers; Ann, Melvin, Neisha and Sabrina. And it seems like with every new manager, things just got from bad to worse. I had multiple maintenance issues from mold, water heater, and five water intrusions - some of my belongings were damaged. Wish I’d time to list them all, but the last incident still pains me to this day. My entire apartment was flooded and in the most unprofessional manner, a leasing office staff Malcolm told me to just find an hotel and abandon my belongings like that. Wasn’t interested in talking about my concerns and answering questions and rudely got off the phone. It took over 24 hours before a water damage exert arrived at the scene.Yes, there were several problems with an apartment that was literally falling apart, but the biggest problem with Briarhill was the way they handled and responded to maintenance issues. Their communication is poor, sometimes they’d shut down the water for hours and not even bother to notify us. If you live at Briarhill and have an issue, don’t bother waste your time with Malcolm and Sabrina. Ask to speak to Morguard’s District Manager, Annette Blocker. She’s a true professional and a good listener who solved my problem.
Great value for the money, assuming you dont have any maintenance issues. While the staff wasnt incredibly helpful, you could tell that there were a few staff members who actually cared.
The pros -Great LocationMy apartment was clean and mostly bug free outside of fruit flies that would come in during the summer when you opened your doorThe office staff and maint staff were generally nice, and usually got on whatever I requested of them.Although not cheap, the price was competitive with other apartments in the areaThe cons -Shower heads installed to low. Im 6 feet tall, and the shower head was down around the base of my neck. Very awkward. Not enough storage space. Even with an apartment with its floorsize, I would hope for slightly more places to put stuff.Security gate stayed broken a lot. The residents were the ones breaking it repeatedly, so I dont blame management for that. But, it did take to long to get it fixed quite a few times. All those were mostly minor inconviences though. I probably would deduct 0 or 1 starts for all of that. The largest complaint I had, and the reason for 3 instead of 4 or 5 stars, was the noise. The walls and windows were fairly thin, meaning youd get a lot of noise from outside. There was multiple dog owners in my building, and you could hear them barking non stop when their owners were away. But, the floors/ceilings were the main issue. I lived in the middle of 3 floors. The person living above me never took their shoes off, and stomped around on their heels. Even someone creaping around would cause the floor to creak and groan. But, my upstairs neighbor sounded like a rhino break dancing while wearing concrete shoes. It was pretty miserable really, and the reason I moved out.If the floors were solid/better insulated, and the windows thicker, Id probably still be living there.
