5 stars because of Cinthia the manager. She is very professional and understanding, will go above and beyond for her tenants. This is an older complex. Air conditioning barely works in summer, it blows and runs just doesnt cool well, I had to buy a portable ac. there is alot of theft and vandalism in the parking area even if you have covered parking. Dog owners are disrespectful and do not pick up after their pets and sometimes have large dogs off leash. The apartments are large, I was on the 4th floor, the elevator always worked. The balconies are huge and the big trees really make it enjoyable to relax outside. the location is good, walk to walmart and other stores easily. The kitchens are small, limited counter space, appliances in my apt were new, so they worked well. Sometimes the hallways and elevators can smell. All in all for the price this is a good choice, if you want to spend 2 to 3 hundred more a month there are better and newer places. I lived here for 2 years, outdoor pool is nice, indoor pool badly needs a remodel.
I was forced to move out after living there 5 YEARS WITH NO LATE PAYMENTS. My car had all its rims & tires stolen while it was parked under my covered, lighted, and payed for parking port. The so called security cameras captured no good footage that could be used to catch the criminals. The new Management is unreasonable & has lied to me on several occasions. They claim they had no 1 bedroom apartments for me to move into (down sizing from two bedroom) despite the fact that you could see them showing one bedroom units to other potential renters. They claimed to be doing apartment inspections - to be ready and put your pets away for the inspection. We got delay notes for 3 days before they finally arrived. Poor pets being put outside on the patio all day long. I had a work order for the dishwasher that was 6 months old. When I finally put my foot down and demanded it be fixed, a maintenance worker appeared a week later & informed me I would have a new dishwasher by the end of the week. That never happened - once again lied to. What an uncaring & cruel management staff to do this too me after 5 years. No loyalty what so ever. Renters - BEWARE OF THIS MANAGEMENT Company. In my 35 years of renting apartments here in Albuquerque, this has been by far my worst experience. Shocked & Disappointed.
The management at this location is outstanding and very understanding. They go far and beyond to care for their tenants and their tenants partners. Thank you for seeing the good in people when they see their faults. 3 years sober in December and I remember your helping hands.( UPDATE), On my 3 year clean date my little sister died of an overdose. 7 months after her death I am still working towards a much better life with inner peaceDecember 21, 2021 will be my 4 year clean date. God bless
Literally the nicest apartments in Hoffmantown. The staff is so helpful and kind. They put up with me and I appreciate them all so very much. -A
Just over 2 weeks now and my car license plate was stolen. No clue of who could have done it but why is there so many people with no license plate at this complex? My one year lease is going to be interesting but probably not entertaining.
My family and I had a two bedroom/two bathroom apartment. The tenets on our side were ok, but the air conditioning never worked and car got broken into multiple times. Also the building had a bed bug infestation. Management didn’t offer new carpet or pest control and had the audacity to make up fake charges upon move out. I don’t know if the management has changed, but I definitely do not endorse this property. Red flag!!
I love living here and what make it awesome is the management team. Especially the property manager Lou she is awesome always helping us. I wouldnt want to live anywhere else. The property is awesome with the pool indoor and outdoor and the fitness center. I recommend if anyone looking for a place to live come live here it is awesome you will fall in love with the place.
There are pros and cons to any apartment complex and La Vida Buena has its share of both. I mainly want to speak on my interactions with the maintenance and office staff. Lu, the office manager, has gone out of her way on several occasions to accommodate my needs - some of which were repairs, etc. and one of which was a move from a one bedroom apartment to a two bedroom apartment. Moving is incredibly stressful and she made sure she did the max that she could to make my move as smooth as possible. Thats not necessarily a part of her job description but she did it anyway. She is such a sweet, warm person and I truly appreciate her quick, efficient and considerate responses to things that come up in apartment living. The maintenance staff is also incredibly friendly and quick at responding to requests for repairs, etc. There will always be room for improvement in the overall scheme of things but this is definitely the best experience I have had thus far with an apartment complex and the staff who run it.
Ive lived here for just over a year now and I am super happy the management And staff super helpful and understanding and willing to work with you if needed. The apartments are very nice and And fair priced. Definitely recommend them to anyone looks for a new place !
If I could give this place a zero I would, I specifically moved here for all the amenities that they promise however, there are none of these amenities available. Their so-called jacuzzi is always drained or has all kinds of foul stuff in them, their indoor pool never seems to be cleaned. Their outdoor pool is closed for the summer months which makes absolutely no sense. These people charge you all kinds of hidden fees, this is not a good place to live you have fire alarms going off all the time people are breaking into your vehicles all the time people are stealing your laundry out of the laundry facilities. Theres always domestic disputes with neighbors. What really irks me is that we pay so much money for all these extra amenities, but never are these amenities open for myself and other residents to use. Staff always has some kind of lame excuse as to why their jacuzzi is it up and running why their indoor pool isnt up and running, while he there outdoor pool isnt up and running. Hopefully these people and the management team staff whatever they are can get their stuff together, or else Im moving and Im going to be taking peoples numbers down so that whenever I move to a good clean facility with running amenities Ill refer these kind Neighbors of mine to move there. But I highly doubt they will fix some of the problems going on around here. Beware folks do not move here you will regret it within the first week or less staying in this dump.
Ive been living at La Vida Buena apartments for a few months now, and I really have been pleased with the friendly staff. They are always helpful, and their readyness to address any of my concerns right away is a very welcome attribute in a landlord. I would highly recommend them.
The apartments are nice sized and very cute. The personnel are friendly but dishonest. Anytime you go to them with a concern, complaint, or question, they do not give honest answers. If the pool/Jacuzzi are important amenities to you then this is not the place for you! There is an indoor and an outdoor pool but they are closed more than open. The indoor pool has been closedsince June when they opened the outdoor pool. They said it was closed for remodel however no remodeling has taken place and August is almost over. The outdoor pool had been closed more than open all summer. Elevator was broken for almost a week. The security theyclaim to have is a joke as anyone can enter without needing a key.
I love living in this community! I have been here for about 5 years and its been a peaceful, quiet place to live. Lu, Narda, Danny, Isreal, and Elizabeth are a great team and get the job done! They are all very friendly and open to any concerns that I have had. They keep the grounds clean and the courtyard beautiful and peaceful. When I need something fixed in my apartment they take care of it promptly and professionally. All in all, I enjoy living here and the neighbors I have met are great!
Love the place and quiet also so the privacy That I love alot
A lot of the prices for the apartment complexes seem to be set at the same price when you live at any one of the corporate owned apartment complexes in Albuquerque. To me, the professionalism and responsiveness of the staff seems like the only variable among each of the competing apartment complexes.I can say that the staff that work at this apartment complex are helpful, friendly, and responsive to any concerns that pop up. I have lived here for 12 months and since that time, I have observed the following:1. The elevators were painted after moving in. They put carpets in the elevator which made a huge aesthetic difference2. I have seen some of the outer doors get broken half a dozen times by people who mindlessly slam them. . . fortunately, the staff here fixes that pretty quickly which is nice to see.3. The 24 hour gym is a nice feature when you feel crunched for time and dont have either the time or money to make it to one of the local fitness centers4. Both Narda and Lu are very easy to work with. I notice that Lu makes a sincere effort to be consistently nice and this is certainly not an easy thing to do in an apartment complex of this size. Elizabeth is friendly with a nice smile. The maintenance staff--Danny and Izrael--come off as solid when it comes to any concerns that pop up.5. Every two months the staff hold a barbecue or offer free pizza which is cool when you come home from work and want to get some grinds.I can only think of one thing that seemed bothersome during my entire stay and it was an incident that was beyond the control of the staff at this apartment complex. Overall, it is a great place to be due to the responsiveness of the staff. The price seems reasonable in my opinion.
Love this place. I moved in 06/2017 the staff is excellent all around. I love living here.
Pretty good place to live except for the maintenance man banging my wife but other then that lovely apartments
Great place to live, great staff, Narda Gallegos is my favorite person to work with, highly recommend her services!!!
I would rate this a 0 if I could. In the last couple months they have fired and brought in new people three times. Ive been getting random charges and fees, cars are constantly getting broken into, police are here constantly. Not to mention when I moved into my apartment there were holes in the carpet, the toilet was leaking, garbage disposal was clogged with God only knows. If they didnt charge me an outlandish fee to break the lease, I would have been gone a long time ago.
Fantastic staff, excellent maintenance, beautiful setting, and awesome location!
Between seeing a guy shooting up heroine on the stairs, a woman running naked down the hall screaming, tires getting slashed, a car alarm going off EVERY SINGLE NIGHT, and the fire alarm getting set off at ungodly hours fairly frequently, I can say that I hate this place.
