Amazing, friendly, and honest. We were heading back to Raleigh and found that we had a tire leaking air! on a Saturday! with 3 kids! We had already stopped at a national chain place who told us we should try someplace else. We rolled in to Blacks with 13 PSI, in the back tire of a pick up truck. They were very busy, but said they would take care of us. And they did- they plugged our tire and had us back on the road in no time. We were desperate out of towners, but they treated us like family.

Treated me with respect and kept me updated and communicated with me on the progress of my repair. They dont upsell.Honest staff. Twice I heard a mechanic talk to a customer letting them know that what they had been told was wrong with their cars by others wasnt actually a problem at all.

Brian Phillips took great care of me when I got a puncture in my sidewall tire. He helped me out on my lunchbreaks from work and even stayed late helping me after hours.

Been here many times. Everybody is friendly and super helpful. They dont try to sell you on anything you dont need, give honest opinions and advice. I recommend them highly.

I ran over a metal rod that impaled the underside of my car to the point where I could not remove it. I called Blacks because they were right down the road from where this incident occurred and an employee, Matt, showed up within two minutes of the call. I came on with my vehicle.i new it probably was not the plugs and coil,but I was hoping that was the promblem.the valve had gone bad.i gambled and lost 380$ but they did what I asked. Did a good job.

Experiences at other shops where they are trying to pry as much money out of you as possible...you could go in for a routine oil change and the shop is hassling you to get an entire new transmission and new tires where this place does not do anything like that unless absolutely necessary..They always go out of theyre way to work with you and get you the best price for whatever you are there for. GO HERE YOU WILL NOT EVER REGRET IT!!!! These guys at this shop are the best around!

Brian was very helpful! Everyone there had amazing customrr service and i felt very welcomed walking inside. They do have a waiting area inside as well, but you wont be waiting too long. Maybe 30-45minutes tops. Will be coming back!!

Ive been to several Blacks Tires in the past and I LOVE this location! The people are so nice and care about each person that comes through their doors. They are hands down the best service Ive received from any auto shop and their prices are competitive too. Will go again.

Brian at Blacks was awesome! I have a service contract at Capital Nissan and after 2 hours, and no real answers, they quoted me $800 for new tires, Rotors and break pads. But they couldnt tell me why I needed rotors or what exactly conditioning entailed. They just told me that I absolutely needed the work done for my safety and because if I didnt it would damage my car. I know enough about cars to know that if you wont give me a straight answer to find someone who will. I was sure that I needed all of that work done, but I was not about to get scammed into doing it. Plus, $800 was steep. Immediately went to Blacks where I explained the situation, and they guaranteed that if I did need the work done, that they would be able to do it for less. And they really delivered. Not only was the work done in a couple of hours, but they charged me $300 less! Great guys, friendly service, explained everything very well, and really took care of me and my car. As soon as my Nissan contract is up, Blacks Tire is where Ill be!

The BEST place to go in Wilmington! I needed to get in ASAP and will a FULL schedule they still got me in and took less than 2 hours. Great staff and very very helpful! When no one else (besides a great Cape fear dealer) was able to install my Pirelli P Zero tires they had no doubt they would be able to get them on and get me out of the door fast and at a great price.

Always more expensive than anyone else. And once they fix something your more than likely going to have to have it re-fixed, in my experience.

However the one guy working the front with Ryan complained about customers. There is no work around on the NC fee the state imposes tire disposal, so I will check with SC to see what fees they have and see if its more cost effective to shop there

Im impressed. Brian Philips was who I spoke with. These guys took the time to talk with me to see why I had a bad experience somewhere else. They remembered who I was when I came in to see them and gave me a truthful assessment of my vehicles needs. I was prepared to pay more, they said it wasnt a needed fix (rear struts only were the problem, fronts were good). My vehicle was completed in a fair amount of time and bonus, it wasnt grease stained on the interior (I had that before, and while I understand, it can be somewhat avoided.) I need spark plugs or something now (check engine light and sputtering some) and Im glad to have a place I trust. My expedition el is like part of my family, my only vehicle, daily driver, travel, haul...a trustworthy shop is a huge relief.

Had a flat tire will taking daughter to school. Luckily I was able to make it to Blacks on Oleander. Brian and Brian got me in immediately to switch to the spare. Had my daughter to school on time and made my meeting on time. Later that day I came back to have the new tire installed and the spare put back in its spot. Total time there that day ...15 minutes! I have lived in Wilmington for 13 years and bounced around from shop to shop never feeling good about any of them because I am dumb with cars. I just never had a mechanic/customer bond until now. Ive come to this Blacks Tire & Auto location multiple times with urgent tire and mechanical issues and theyre always the nicest, most efficient and reasonable people. I much prefer them to a dealership. Not only that, but they can get a job done in a day on the fly that would take a dealership significantly longer. All the Brian/Bryans that work there are just fantastic. I run a lot of miles on my car for work as a traveling salesperson and its so helpful to have a go-to place that makes me feel cared for.

Visiting with my RV. They were great to work with. I recommend them for RV tires. Just avoid Goodyear they do not stand behind their product.

I would have given it 5 but the guy that actually drove my car into the bay had to ask where reverse was and how to put it in reverse. Even though i was told the techs knew how to drive a manual transmission. But besides that my experience was great.

I had new tires put on my car and had a little situation after I left the shop. They immediately helped and re-assured me that I made right call. Their prices for services are fair and reasonable. Would definitely recommend to others. You guys ROCK! :)

I have never in my entire life been so shocked at the gross malpractice / negligence of an establishment as I have this one! I bought a set of tires from them a few months back and when they had completed the tire change they mentioned that the TPMS sensor was worn and found broken inside the tire (seemed unlikely it wasn’t a mistake from dismounting the tire, but I didn’t care much) what they didn’t mention however was that their technicians thought it would be a great idea to tape in back to the inside of the tire with half a roll of duct tape instead of just throwing it away like I gave them permission to do.... well Here we are 4 months later, I almost loose control of my car on the highway and have sever tire damage that could have easily lead to a blow out because this same sensor was now bumping around on the inside of my tire taking chucks out of the internals of the tire!!! What I find the most egregious from this entire situation is last week I took my car back to them to check if the tires were balanced and they told me they were spot on and there was no uneven wear... there is no way in the entirety of bad technicians that they could have even checked to see if my tires were balanced and not noticed the massive amounts of warpage to the side wall that I could visibly see the moment I took my car home. I want my money back, I want everyone to know these guys are not even armatures they are dangerous, please for your safety do not take your car here, I find it insane that someone could screw up putting new tires on so bad that they could be considered dangerous! Also to the owner who reads this, you should be entirely ashamed to take people’s money and offer a service this poor in return.

They are simply awesome! I went there for my tire issue last year and got it fixed at a fairly good price. Earlier today, I couldn’t start my car and had to ask for a jump- that was the 4th time over the past two months ( yes- exactly during the holiday season...) I called Honda dealership and was told the diagnosis itself would be $130... so I tried black’s tire and they figured it was due to the low battery key fob lol and they asked for a fair price for changing the battery for me. Thank you guys for making my day and Happy New Year!

The price of the tires were good. I never got to find out how well the tires performed because I ended up switching to my stock rims and go elsewhere for new tires. Basically wasted 4 new tires and a set of custom rims. A set with one odd ball rim. Be careful and make sure all the caps on your custom rims are secure. They wont take responsibility for it. Double check their work if you decide to bring your vehicle there. The sad part is I believe it wasnt an accident. The Mexican guy who works there parked another customers vehicle where I was going and I waited for him to move it. I guess he didnt like that.The bolt that secures the cap on was screwed in deep so that the cap would still sit in place on top of it. It would look like all the caps were on but that one wasnt really bolted on. There was no way he could have screwed the cap on and gone so far in without cracking the cap itself. The cap would have popped right off after hitting a bump when I left their parking lot. Who knows where it could have ended up. Never again will I bring anything to a place where they have people like that working for them. I know a lot of hardworking Mexicans. Its not a racial thing. I just used that to identify the person most likely to have caused it.

Really friendly and efficient, they helped us immediately to remove a nail from our tire! They saved our trip, without asking for anything more, a big thank you and congratulations to them.

The only got three stars for one reason when it comes to scheduling just to get an estimate for your vehicle they want to keep your car for more than 2 hours youre only there for an estimate youre not there to have repairs done that day so they could do a little quicker they might move up the five star on my list as far as the staff fantastic staff
