The rate a which pumps here are broken or dysfunctional is alarming. One pump continues to charge you even after it has shut off, so if you are not paying attention you get charged for nothing. Other pump are frozen or keep shutting off constantly even when your tank is nowhere near full. Its a mess. At one point the rate of gas flow was markedly slower presumably to make you spend more Tim watching the dumb video adds. Complete sell-out train wreck. Bring back the pumps that work.

Once again, Brian and his team rescued my girlfriend on her way to work. Deb was driving down Marsh Rd and got a large bolt in her tire. She pulled up to the shop and was greeted by Brian. She explained her problem and he fixed the tire quickly and at no charge. This guy is amazing. Brian and the guys have helped us out with car problems twice now at the drop of a hat. Only sold me what I needed, and it was a very good choice.I had a low tire pressure light, they found the nail, but showed me that it was in the area that cant be repaired, and suggested replacing only the two tires on the back. Easy drop off and pickup the next day, and I am happy with the tires. Brian and his team should do fine at this new location.

This place is by far the BEST. I had my brakes and rotors changed for a very good price. Brian is the man, he helped get back on the road in no time and was very honest and helpful. I hated going to repair shops because they will rip you off, but this place is a gem.

First time visit and customer for good. I called to see if the mechanics had time to fix my girlfriends car. I spoke with Brian who I later found out just took over as manager at this shop. He told me to come right over and they would look at her car. They brought me right in and found her car needed brakes and an oil change and that it could be done that same day. It is almost 3 oclock. At almost 5pm the car was finished and ready to be picked up. Wow! The price was great and customer service was as well. I will recommend this shop to everyone. Great job guys!

I needed to get the air checked in my tires and there is literally no where to go to have someone do this for you. I asked what the cost was and they said “no charge.” The man who checked them for me was so pleasant and nice and showed me the proper amount I needed for each tire. It was better then any Christmas present! Thank you for your kindness and customer service. Highly recommend this business!

A couple of weeks ago I took my Dad’s car here for an oil change. Oil change went ok, however, when I was there I needed to use their telephone to call my Dad about the work. One of the employees very rudely refused to offer the phone, when another employee immediately handed me the phone with no issues. I then had another problem with this gentleman when I told him the waiting area’s A/C was off (it was a hot and humid day), he again very rudely explained there was no problem, and made no offer to help when another employee got up to check the unit and turned it down. Then, paying for the service, I handed the same gentleman my bank card which he had a problem running the card. Again very rudely he refused to run the card and another employee took my payment no problem. I WILL NOT patron this business again. I won’t even buy gas here. No one deserves the ungrateful attitude of someone who serves the public with disdain.

We were visiting family in the immediate area and our car stopped running. We took it to pa tire and rich told us that the valve cover gasket is leaking oil onto alternator. He told us that car needs valve cover gaskets and alternator. 6 hours later and our car runs just like new. Kudos to the team and I am glad to run into a shop that really knows what they are doing. If anyone in the area is looking for a shop that is full of knowledgeable staff, then look no further.

This shell went way down hill after new ownership. Tire pumps never work. There is hardly ever receipt paper in the pumps. Location was way better when it was Maiers shell. You could depend on the air pumps working, receipt paper being in the pumps and over all their customer service being excellent.

I mean I need the cheapest car repair around but they always do what they say and they do a damn good job of automobile repairs. I would rather pay a little bit more and have it done correctly the first time then pay a cheaper price I have a job that falls apart or fails after a couple of months. I have had several jobs done by these guys and the fixing stayed fixed. Ive never had to bring a car back to them and ask them the do-over what they did. To me that is worth it and Im glad to pay their price.

The trash is overflowing, weeds are as high as my waist, the handicap service button is busted up, and a FALSE business award is on the door. The owner, Chirag D (who has rated his own business highly on here), has hung up a 2018 Diamond Rating for Customer Experience. Chirag took the location over in May 2019! The award goes on to congratulate them on their teams 100% Motor Fuel Suppliers Mystery Motorist Shops in 2018 for having clean fuel areas, clean restrooms and delivering a wow customer experience AT THAT SITE. How could they get a 100% rating of mystery when they werent even in business at that location in 2018??

Rear break job, transmission fluid. (Nice they let me bring my own parts). Wanted to give Maier Shell a chance as I was looking for a new local shop. I should have read the review. So, they got the job done, but at a rate of over $125 / hr. If I wanted to pay that rate, I would have just taken the car to the dealer. I’ll go to Ponte’s next time. Save $25 per hr. (I did get a free tire rotation. Saved $20!)

Just bought 4 tires from here, Rich was very personable and took great care of my car !! i am regular from now on !!!!

The noise in my front end was getting worse. Clunks and bangs turning right while breaking. Sounded hundreds of dollars expensive. Maybe the strut? front end parts? bad rack and pinion steering? I cant find anything. Took it in and an hour later, got a nice call that they heard it too and it was all related to low power steering fluid. (why didnt I check that?!) They topped it up and got me on my way. Hundreds of dollars ahead.Ill keep coming back here.

If it was up to me they wouldnt even receive 1 star but, unfortunately I needed to write this review. Upon arriving on Marsh Rd in Wilmington De @ 7:30am I noticed only 1 car waiting. When I asked the older man Rich how long was the wait he stated 2 hours so, I would have to leave my car in order to save my spot also, stating that they would do a full inspection around the vehicle in which I told him I only wanted an oil change and nothing more. About a hour went by and Rich called my phone saying I needed front brakes and I responded no thank you my father will put them on later today. Rich then says well why didnt you have him do the oil change? I then replied my father doesnt do oil changed, he knows how to replace brake and Rich goes into well you need 2 air filters replaced. When I told him no thank you just an oil change, he responded have your father replace them to since you dont want us to Change your brakes. At this point I was beyond bothered by the conversation so, I asked was my car done and he responded in a hour. Instead of me waiting a hour I received a ride up the street off of Silverside road that only took me about 3 mins. When I arrived there my car was finished stated Rich when he just stated not even3 mins ago a hour..... he walks me inside to pay and my sister observed another worker on the passenger side of my car messing underneath my dashboard. When I came out from paying I witnessed him getting up and asked what are you doing if Rich just stated my car is finished and he replied oh I was just checking you cabin air filter. As I walked away another co-worker stated only the black people catch attitude when theyre asked questions. The works are rude and dont know how to communicate with people and they stigmatize black people as being ungrateful because we ask questions due to their ignorance!

Professional and fast service! weve been going to Meier shell for 4-5 years now for all our service needs on a Toyota Highlander and Mini Countryman. foreign cars/parts/preventative maintenance are no problem for them. as for professionality, you hear stories of service stations taking advantage of women customers--not so here. my wife came in with a low air warning on her console and what looked like a nail in the tread, all on the way to work one morning. The service techs refilled the tire and found the object was actually just a bearing and not a hole in the tire. they got her back on the road in time for work, and took care of the situation honestly and professionally. that goes a long way in todays world.

Outstanding service station!!! I had an emergency situation with my car and had to find a local repair shop that was carmax approved. Found Maier’s and decided to give them a call. They were extremely nice and helpful and willing to take my car in on a Friday! They kept me updated with phone calls and even sent me a text showing me exactly what was causing the issue. It was my first time using Maier’s shell station and they made me feel as if i had been using them for years. By mid Friday afternoon my car was fixed I couldn’t believe it. Not only did they take my car without an appointment but were able to fix it by the end of the day!!! I felt like a valued customer and I couldn’t be more happy. Service here is great will definitely be going back for routine maintenance as well as recommend it to my friends and family. Thank you Mike for everything you and your team are fantastic!

They always will check tire pressure for free and most of the time willingly until recently. My boyfriend went to get tire pressure checked and air put in his tires and was rudely told go to the side of the building and do it himself ...I was shocked! Never had an issue before especially when me my boyfriend and my father all go here and even though its free we tip them for putting air in our tires...which is essentially there job! When my boyfriend finished putting his own air in his tires to the best of his ability of course not being able to gage how much was needed because the pressure was never checked he saw the same man who was rude and not the least bit helpful helping another customer and putting air in their tire WOW I was appalled at the mistreatment and the descrimination if I could give no stars I would and I am telling everyone to boycott this disgusting business the manager offered no explanation or apology once I complained!!

Maiers Shell Service ARE CROOKS!!!!! They prey on the elderly, and they need to be held accountable for stealing money from the older people! My moms car was making a sound that seemed to be the sound of a hole in the muffler. She went to Maiers, since it is near her home and asked them to fix what was making that sound. It was left over night and they would call in the morning as to what the issue is. When they called they said that she DID need a new muffler, but there was a bigger problem, she needed to have the piping (exhausts pipe) done as well, as there is a small hole in it. This would cost close to $700! to replace all of this.Mom is on a fixed income and cannot afford this. She contacted me, her daughter to see what she should do. I called over to find out what the situation is. While on the phone he stated that, she does need a new muffler - no question, it is old and rusty, and you could replace just the muffler, but as soon as you would leave the station, the exhaust pipe could brake and you would have to come back. He said he was doing us a favor by letting us know all of this, since the car is old, it does need all new piping, but he understands if we only want to do the muffler - it is a lot of money.He made it sound like we had NO choice, but to replace it all. I asked him to send me a picture of the whole situation under her car. He did, after making a lot of excuses that he doesnt know how to use the phone to take pictures, but I only received ONE picture. After I received the it, he sent me one picture of the hole in the exhaust pipe, NOT the muffler - I sent this to my husband. My husband told me to take the car somewhere else, he is scamming you. So we did. Maiers charged my mom $35 for taking the car for a second opinion!!!!The hole only needed a quick weld and that does not cost $700! And guess what? She did NOT need a new muffler either.Her muffler was fine. Maiers are crooks!!!!! They prey on the elderly, and they need to be held accountable for stealing money from the elderly and who knows how many other innocent people!!!!

As of April 30, 2019 Maiers service team closed the doors here for the last time any reviews before that time were for the Maier’s Service team. Any reviews made after May 1st is for the new shop. It’s a shame that they are still using Maier’s pictures as their own. There are no flowers in any of the flower pots like there used to be. Tons of weeds in the old mulch on the corner. And if you look at the receipts that still have Maier’s name on them. It’s a shame they have to try and piggy back off of the Maier’s family’s hard work. Such a shame that the owners of the property forced them out.
