Took my car there in sort of a pinch, and was pleased to find them willing to replace the clutch in my 07 Ford escape, unfortunately it took a month for them to finish, and as usual with this company, it was quite highly priced from the tow to the service, and very nice people, but poor communication, and I felt sort of put off by the service manager, as he never called me once in a month I had to initiate the calls for updates. For what they are charging it should be a given that we reach out and explain what steps youre taking and to discuss a timeline, etc. The work seems good, which is very important, but it isnt the whole thing, the service will prevent me from recommending them to others and will definitely think twice before even taking my vehicle there again. Also, my radio suddenly didnt work when I left the shop, it turns on, but the display is dark and you can only adjust the volume, not change the stations or play a CD or tell the time. Ill be checking into it in the am for sure. Overall be ware of price gouging through the whole process.

I was parked in a spot my boss has given me permission to be in and hes the owner so he tells them what they are allowed to do it that lot but then hit me for a bogus 150 for illegaly parking when Im in the middle of working and there are cars all day Evey day that do the same thing watch out for them they are snakes and poor Business people

Adam and Jeremy came to help me when I slid off the road into a snow filled ditch. It was so icy and deep they had to use two trucks to get it out. They were both extremely courteous and constantly asked if I was staying warm or had any questions. Not only did they pull me out, they followed me home to make sure everything was fine. I would recommend them to anyone in need of tow services.

Although there are nice people that work within this company as a whole they represent a totally different cause. They close extremely early on weekdays, over charge for tow fees...... overall not a place to deal with unless theres no other option.

Just a very shady buisness. Illegally towed two cars and even when presented with proof nothing changed so we just chalked it to the game. Added extra shady charges and they also close before most folks are off work so they have to pay their lots ransom fees. That is 100% planned. Overall shady shady. If you actually need a car towed for you own reason use someone better.

Our company had the landing gear collapse on a loaded 53 trailer. Prairie Land Towing responded immediately and got our trailer back on the tractor and into a dock so we could unload. They came back the next morning to take the trailer to a repair shop. Everyone from Prairie Land was quick, courteous, and professional.

A car pulled out of McDonalds in Cottage Grove on Feb 12th 2021 and didnt stay in their lane. They crossed over into our lane and caused us to go into the snow bank rather than be hit by them. They drove off without stopping. The front right side of our truck was dug into the snow bank. Jacob came to the rescue and pulled the right side of our truck sideways with his big rig. He had us back on the road and out of that snow bank in minutes. He was polite, friendly, knowledgeable and experienced. Thanks, Jacob!! You ROCK!! I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the Cottage Grove area, if you need a tow out of the snow bank or otherwise!

EDITED: This company does shady business with landlords. Even when proof is presented no vehicles should have been rowed they will not refund. Violation of the same statues they try using as a defense. I was able to get the rental company to pay, but I wish prairie land stopped doing business with landlords that abuse their own policies and exploit their tenants.In my case, may dad had a legal permit showing car was snow covered because he had a stroke and cannot move it. There also was no active requirement to move vehicles regularly just have a permit displayed.They towed it anyways.The blame goes mostly to wisconsin management. The prairie land tow drivers were professional and helpful. Prairie land just needs better management choices on who they contract business with and how.

Horrible service. They are rude, inflexible, and misleading about business hours. After being told they were open on the phone and driving 25 minutes away we arrived and were told they were closed. They were extremely unhelpful and they seem to delight in making things harder for us, and would not help us even after we said we would be late for work and that we had young children in the car. They kept trying to say it was because of Covid but yet not a single one of them were wearing masks. So we had to sit there while we could see them walking around inside the office/ shop for almost 30 minutes before they would open the office. Ridiculous.

My car died during a blizzard and these guys were so amazing! They came and got my car towed in a flash! Special thanks to Samantha, she was so professional and helpful! I will definitely be using Prairie Land again in the future!

Hands down best tow job I ever had! Honest to goodness Adam was exactly what we needed tonight. We were 5 hours from home when our car broke down in the costco parking lot, and not only did he show up before the promise time, he sat and waited with me and the kids until my husband got back with the rental car. He helped us move all of our stuff into the rental car before loading up my vehicle. He was excellent with the kids showing them how the tow truck works and really made the best out of a bad night. The world needs more genuinely kind people like Adam. I would recommend this towing company in a heartbeat!

My wifes car was stolen and picked up by Prairie Land Towing just a few miles from the location it was stolen. Vehicle was never reported to the Madison Police, or notified us until almost two weeks later. We were charged for almost 13 days of storage, when we should have known within a few days of the vehicle recovery if someone did their job. When we finally found out on our own where the vehicle was the gentleman at the front desk barely knew the difference between our vehicle and a similar vehicle in their impound, had to run our credit card twice just to get the total right since we were honest when we noticed the wrong vehicle, and registered owner on the receipt we were given after credit card swipe one.Never use their service unless you have to with no other options, I even waited a few days to cool off before I posted this, so heed my advice avoid Prairie Land at all costs.

Jerry wasnt put off by the challenge of getting a completely dead Jeep out of an underground carpark. Despite all the challenges he wasnt going to leave us stranded and brainstormed ideas until the job was completed. Made me feel very relaxed as soon as he arrived, for a situation which had been very stressful up to that point.

DO NOT USE THIS TOWING COMPANY.. My car was towed while visiting a friend, I was only there for 2 hours and came out to see my car was gone before 10 pm even. We called the towing company and found out they had it, asked if I could pick it up that night since I do not live in the area and needed to be home the woman on the phone was INCREDIBLY RUDE. I had my ID, phone charger and wallet in my car so I was stranded with absolutely nothing in a city I do not live in. Found a place to stay for the night and showed up right as they opened to find out it is nearly $300 dollars to get my car. I have no job at the moment due to the pandemic and am now out 300 dollars and had to fix my tail light which was not broken before hand and a piece of plastic was hanging underneath, when I explained to them this situation and said I was only there for 2 hours parked RIGHT next to the visitor parking which was full and I was in the very next stall, the man behind the glass told me to consider this a learning experience completely robbed me of my money and time and had no empathy whatsoever. If I could rate this place less than 1 star I definitely would. With a pandemic going on youd think these people would be more understanding and patient but no, complete con artists.

VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS BUSINESS! DEFINITELY WOULDNT RECOMMEND!They illegally towed both of my vehicles from my home. I had a VISIBLE parking pass in both of my vehicles! They then allowed me to ride in their truck to go get my vehicles. When I checked my truck it had these damages! I notified them and got no response until I called a week later.. only for them to deny damaging my vehicle. I WILL BE TAKING THEM TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT! I also uploaded a photo of the business card the tow truck employee gave me the night of the incident. He refused to give me his name so I could reference him in the future. I called for help getting my car out of the ditch. Adam showed up and made me feel better about the situation. I was lucky because he has a lot of experience, he was there sooner than estimated, kind and courteous. I appreciate the care he took with my van and how he was able to get it out without damaging it.

They were contracted through AAA but declined the contract without properly notifying me or anyone else. I spent 4 hours waiting on nobody apparently. Not a single good thing to say about this place. My personal favorite was when I paid and the guy told me 150 dollars for a tow. Then tacked on another 150 dollars and didnt tell me about it. Great honest business practices.

NEVER EVER will I trust this tow company!Towed my suv without warning and this was at my friends apartment parking lot.The visitor parking lot was full so I parked next to it and I was only there for an hour and half and they towed my suv in between which was very quick. So, I called them they told me to pick it up the next day so that they could charge me storage fee. Charged me $365 for towing without a warning...!!!!Seems like a lot people had been through same problem where their car was towed without warning and charged high $$$$$. This need to be addressed or they need to stopThere are legal ways to deal with it. How they are doing right thing in a wrong way.

Employee drove our farm box truck off the road. It was balancing precariously and almost tipped over. A super difficult situation that required so much skill to get the truck out of the ditch without tipping it and totaling it. Adam was amazing. He was professional, straight to business, and so very real in sharing the challenge of the situation. We were all so excited when he succeeded - I was jumping up and down on the road. Adam killed it.

Predatory vultures. They offer their towing service to apartment complexes without posting towing warnings for the guests of residents. The shop has changed its hours for release without posting online, on the door or after you show up and collect your vehicle the next day and the mechanics will also get into arguments with you if you point out any of these paradoxes of times not being accurate.

I have used them twice and been happy with their service. The first time was after my daughters car accident. The first thing they did when they got there was ask her if she was doing ok. They worked fast and gave all the information we needed.The second time I had a flat tire and had spent hours dealing with my roadside coverage through my insurance. I finally gave up on that and called Prairie Land. It was getting dark by this time and I was the side of the interstate. They got there within minutes and got me back on the road so quickly, I wish I would have just called them from the beginning.Great service both times!

Called to ask a basic question about getting towed and the woman was rude and unhelpful. They will tow you even if they don’t have proof that the spot isn’t yours. SUPER unprofessional. Not to mention when they towed my car initially I had to call the police who had to figure out where my car went because they have no signage at the apartment my car was towed from telling me that they were the designated towing company.

This past Saturday was a first for me and I could not have asked for a better experience with Prairie Land, well unless they could snap their fingers and replace an alternator for free. They were very friendly, quick and did not cost us a fortune. The tow driver was very nice and friendly and helped make a stressful situation more bearable. Thank you again Prairie Land! Adam did a phenomenal job! My vehicle broke down on the interstate in a pretty dangerous place. He showed up 15 minutes before expected. Didn’t take him long at all to load the vehicle and tow me and my family to safety. The dealership I had it towed to was closed on a Friday evening and not scheduled to open until Monday. I feel that most people would’ve left after completing the tow, but he stuck around to make sure we had everything we needed as we aren’t from the Madison area, and I’m really glad he did! We were driving home after my oldest child had surgery that morning and all she wanted was to go home. There weren’t any rental cars available at the time, so we would have been stuck in Madison until we were able to rent a car! Very happy that AAA works with Prairie Land Towing. He wound up towing our vehicle to La Crosse and dropped us off at home before delivering the vehicle to a dealership in La Crosse. He even helped haul our belongings from the vehicle to our front door! Adam definitely went above and beyond his duties to help us out. Very professional and all around very good guy! This company targets low income neighborhoods. I had to pay to get my car back from my own apartments because they towed me when they were not supposed to. Very rude. They find cars in parking lots, bring them around the corner of another neighborhood and then go back for more as fast as they can to make quick money. They go to neighborhoods around 8pm and later in the Rimrock road area.

Adam from Prairie Land Towing is a life saver! About an hour in on a long drive my tire blows out. I put my spare tire on to realize that it is completely flat and not drive-able. I call roadside assistance, the near by gas stations and my parents and started to get the feeling that I will be stuck on the side of the road for the next couple hours. Then Adam shows up, states that he is an off duty tow truck operator for Prairie Land Towing and asks if I needed help. Not only was I very relieved that a good Samaritan stopped to ask if I needed help but Adam actually had a car powered air pump and was able to fill up my tire and get me back on the road in a matter of minutes. Thank you so much Adam! You definitely went out of your way to help me out turning a bad situation into a pleasant experience!

HORRENDOUS service. Prairie Land Towing are predatory towers that held my vehicle hostage while demanding an exhorbitant $1800 dollar fee to tow it less than 3 miles. They managed to further damage my car during the towing process. Their practices should be illegal; Ive never despised a business more. DO NOT USE.

Called for a tow (via AAA) because the rear end of my truck had locked up. I had no idea what was happening or why and was worried the old truck I had inherited was done for. Adam responded and quickly identified the problem. He was very courteous and was able to get it fixed on the spot, no tow necessary. Would highly recommend their service.

Never use towing service with this company, they charge too expensive, they are not professional, on 04/14/2021 they towed my car from the parking lot even though it had a visible permit, they charged more than 300 dollars for 14 hours that they had it in their possession illegally.

So the first time i had a run in with these ppl they illegally towed my car that had a valid parking permit from the apartment complex that i live in. Now they are towing cars left and right during a pandemic making a fortune off of low income families. What makes this company a bad business is that the customer service is non existent. The manager is very rude and will hang up the phone if you ask to speak with someone above her. Apartment companies are just as much at fault for contracting with these vultures that cause financial burden for their residents. We are living in a sad day and time.

Very expensive towing company. They towed my wifes minivan, and stored it for 2 nights. Towing distance was less than 5 miles. Cost us $804.99. Yep. Well see if out insurance will reimburse us.

I was referred to Prairie Land Service and towing by AAA after my car needed to be towed on a Friday night. Everyone I dealt with at Prairie Land was professional and courteous. Dan did my car repairs, and he was friendly and efficient. I highly recommend them!

These guys are a joke. My roadside assistant from my insurance secured them to tow my Sprinter. They agreed and said they would arrive in 45 mins. Then 45 mins later I call, and they say their guy is 20 mins out. Then 1 hr 30 mins after that, I called again, and they say they canceled my tow truck because after agreeing and sending someone, they realized my the contract with my insurance doesn’t cover my Sprinter. They didn’t give me any courtesy to call me, and when I called to inquire, they just said I’m out of luck. They left my wife, kid, and myself stranded for 4 hours in the middle of nowhere until I secured another company who stuck by their word . Unbelievable. Horrible service.

I unfortunately needed a tow and gave Prairie Land Towing a call. They were very prompt and Adam was super helpful. I also really appreciate that Adam kept me updated with pictures so I knew that my vehicle got where it needed to be. I would definitely use their services again if needed!

I was momentarily parked in an apartment lot near me. I noticed the tow truck outside my window with my truck. I then went out to consult the tow workers. I asked them if I could pay a drop fee and just pay for the fee right then and there. They refused and drove away with my car. Completely absurd and I am ready to dispute in court if I am not given a fair rate when picking my car up tomorrow. Unfair and unprofessional.

Adam arrived quickly to assist me. Two prior tow companies had secured my vehicle to my tow dolly/trailer and both times it came loose and shifted, causing me to be stuck a total of 3 times in 4 days. Adam was professional and kind and reassuring after several stressful days. He carefully wenched out my vehicle as not to damage it and reattached it to the dolly. I’ve now made it 3 states over and my vehicle has not moved and remains secured to the dolly. Thanks again!

Great service, friendly employees! They definitely go the extra mile for their customers. The company uses the latest and best technology from the tow equipment itself to the Ipad they send the receipt from. They are the PREMIER tow company!

They are taking cars without authorization and the weekends when people go to work and they dont give your car until next day to charge more money. They said that they dont have people available to move cars in lot until next day. they are corrupt company.

Towing cars even when they have guest passes. Theyll never say why theyre towing, but theyll tow your car away.
