I cannot say enough good things about Mike, Amanda and the rest of the crew at Mike’s Automotive. My truck presented to Mike probably the most difficult issues he has ever faced in a repair, but he didn’t give up and in the end, my F-150 is now running better than ever. Mike is fair, real, and strives to exceed expectations. His shop is thriving and I think it’s because many in our area are figuring out that Sun Prairie has an awesome, trustworthy mechanic in our city.

I highly recommend Mikes Automotive Repair. My car began making horrible sounds and I came in on a whim. They spoke to me right away and arranged for my car to be seen quickly. They were very honest and completely upfront about cost. I will definitely be returning in the future.

I would not recommend if you do not know anything about cars.We took my car that we were preparing for my friend to use to this place. He racked up quite a large bill working on different things to try and get this vehicle running, in the end he had to refer us to a dealership specialist mechanic. Even tho mike could not get our car running or driving still managed to fix enough things to charge us almost $800. The dealership specialist mechanic also could not get the vehicle running!!Ultimately to solve our car problem we took out the engine computer and shipped in to a programming specialist. this was the only part that was stopping this car from actually running and driving. the cost of this was $120 had we just started with this route we would have only spent $120 to get the car running and driving.Now because I felt i should have just started with pulling the part and shipping it to the programmer i decided that it was a little unfair of me to be angry at mike.I GAVE MIKES A 2ND CHANCE!!!!!!*********PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!so I thought I would give him a second chance I referred my roommate to him for what we thought was a bad fuel pump.Mike told this 19 yr old young woman who knows nothing of cars that she needed a new engine entirely.After he got the engine into the car, he tried to fire it up. and it still wouldnt start...WHY??? Because if he had checked the fuel pump by disconnecting one of the lines and seeing if it was pumping, he should have caught that it was diesel and not gasoline right away. It turns out that her friend had put diesel instead of gas in her tank.So this completely unnecessary endeavor had already cost her thousands but because he was too arrogant to admit he had made a mistake. Instead of offering an apology or any kind of discount proceeded to charge her more to remove the diesel from her tank and fuel lines......Absolutely unacceptable 😡 will not be going back.

The folks at Mikes are very professional. Communication with them was excellent, and not once did they try to sell me a service I didnt need. My car now runs better than when I got it. Mikes Automotive is the real deal.

I highly recommend Mikes Automotive. Mike knows his stuff and is very honest. His prices are very fair, often cheaper than other places. Three times I have had a vehicle at other places for things like new tires and they found problems with things that urgently needed repairing-its always an expensive repair of course. When I had Mike check out the supposed needed repairs, no repairs were needed at all. Those places completely made it up. He could have easily confirmed the problem knowing I would probably have him go ahead and do the repair since he had it there at the shop anyway but he didnt. I completely trust that if Mike says something needs repaired, then it needs repaired. All of the work Ive had done has been warrantied as well. No reason to go anywhere else! Great pricing on oil changes too.
