I have been going to Experience Momentum Fitness classes for just over a month now and cant say enough good things about it. This place keeps me motivated and healthy by focusing on good form and warm up techniques. The coaches are all incredible - super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The atmosphere is very encouraging and its easy to make friends. I get sad every time I go out of town knowing I will miss my workouts here. I highly recommend Experience Momentum Fitness for anyone who likes group exercise classes.
Katie, who has been my massage therapist for over a year, has been instrumental in improving my back and knee pain from running and standing. She’s great at finding different ways of working with you to make sure you’re comfortable but also getting the treatment you need. She’s extremely personable and remembers everything you talk about from week to week! The front desk staff is also lovely to chat with and super helpful!
All of the staff at EM are wonderful, and Katie in Fremont is hands down the best massage therapist I’ve ever seen. Katie is receptive, dedicated, and very skilled. I only wish she wasn’t in such high demand! But I guess that’s what you get when you’re the best! I would recommend EM, and specifically Katie, to anyone looking for reliable, safe massage therapy. It has made a real difference in my overall health.
Truly a home away from home. I attend classes at the Fremont location, but I’m sure the same applies to Lynwood… The EM staff has some of the most kind, and professional trainers I have ever had the pleasure of working out with. Mix that in with high quality workout equipment and an inclusive atmosphere; it’ll be hard to find another gym like it.
My physical therapist, Dr. Nancy Pickett, and the rest of the team were great. I made a quick recovery from knee surgery due to the personalized care received. I highly recommend Experience Momentum.
One stop shop: PT, Massage and Fitness.Every staff member I’ve had the pleasure of: meeting, been worked on and coached by- has gone above and beyond expectations.Professional, knowledgeable in their craft and make all feel welcome has been my...experience from the momentum walked through their doors.Great space; new equipment and energetic atmosphere on both clinic and gym side of the business.Definitely get a community vibe, highly recommend if you need rehab and/or a place to get workout.
I had a fabulous experience working with Dr. Sahil Khan. He took the time to explain the underlying anatomy, address root causes for my pain and always answered all of my questions with enthusiasm. He pushed me as well as encouraged and noticed progress. He gave me lots of knowledge about my shoulder and back that I can take forward with me and use in life, not just within our sessions. This was my first time at PT and I highly recommend Sahil. :)
I had a nagging hamstring injury that was plaguing me for years and causing other muscle imbalances in my body. After trying a few PT clinics, I was finally recommended Experience Momentum through a UW specialist and I cant say enough positive things about my PT experience there!Dr. Cat Mooney-Meyers and Dr. Nancy Pickett were part of my care team and were so friendly, extremely informative, and really worked with me tirelessly to help solve my issues. They developed a solid recovery plan and gave me the tools I needed to continue to rehab and do exercises at home. The in-session workouts were challenging but Cat and Nancy pushed and encouraged me every step of the way and the exercises left me feeling great the rest of the day. After a few solid months of rehab, it was an incredible feeling to have the nagging, aching pain in my hamstring disappear as I gained strength and confidence. To be able to play sports and go through my daily routine without any lingering issues has really made all the difference in quality of life for me.Dr. Cat Mooney-Meyers does a fantastic job of explaining things and provides a feedback loop that was very helpful for me to create the mind-body connection I needed for my recovery.Experience Momentum is a wonderful clinic and I felt like I had the absolute best care team in the world. 100% recommend!
Im in the thick of it with recovering from hip arthroscopic surgery and I still cant imagine a better team that greeted me on the other side of my operation! I had the gift of having both Cat and Nancy as my recovery team starting day 1 post-op and I can honestly say that their constant positivity, support, and words of encouragement that I will return to sport have seriously kept my morale up and focused. If you are in the Seattle area looking for a team that will get you back to where you want to be actively, I highly recommend this place and these wonderful people!
I cannot say enough good things about the entire crew of physical therapists at Experience Momentum. Im an ER doctor who sees shoulder injuries and complaints almost every shift, but it took Dr. Robert Boyles, Dr. Amelia Carpenter, and Dr. David Patrick to finally get to the root of a tricky, movement imbalance-related shoulder injury that had been nagging me for over a year without any clear diagnosis or improvement on my own. This team of experts carefully and thoroughly put me through a battery of testing to find where the problem was, and then coached me through a quick rehab program that got me back to working out stronger and better than I was even before the injury.HIGHLY recommend seeing any of these PTs, and toss in some personal training either with Boyles (who doubles as a killer trainer who can spot your form breaks instantly) or one of the other amazing trainers at either of Experience Momentums sites (yo, Zeb!) to really get your form checked and progress WAY faster than regular old garden variety physical therapy programs you might find at other clinics.I tell all my friends to go here with any issues and will happily go back the next time Im feeling an ache that I cant fix myself.
I started physical therapy at Experience Momentum Fremont when I was dealing with a lower back injury in September of 2020. At the time, I was having trouble completing routine daily activities and my injury sidelined me from the last bit of summer golf and running.Getting set up as a new patient with Experience Momentum was very easy and I was able to quickly get an appointment with Dr. Cat Mooney-Meyers. Cat was able to quickly understand my situation and my goals for recovery. She was incredibly helpful during my sessions and built out a solid at home exercise plan for me. Within a few sessions, I was feeling significant improvement and pain relief. Throughout my recovery process, I also had the pleasure of working with Dr. Geoff Gabler. Geoff was able to pick up where Cat and I left off and provide additional exercises. As my recovery continued to progress, Cat and Geoff adjusted my at home exercise plan and PT sessions to switch the focus from pain resolution to regaining strength and mobility. After about 6 weeks, I was able to begin swinging a golf club again and resume running. In addition to helping me recover from my back injury, Cat and Geoff gave me the tools to prevent similar injury in the future. I highly recommend both Cat and Geoff and I’m very thankful that I had them as my recovery team.I have nothing but great things to say about Experience Momentum – from a simple and fast patient intake process to the amazing care and support that you will receive in your recovery process. It is a truly amazing place.
Nancy and her team are THE best for PT. I’ve gone to her for skiing and running injuries, and there’s no one better for physical therapy in Seattle. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
Huge thanks to Nancy (Pickett) and Nick (Fabula) for their help with a very long-standing back problem that had resisted my prior attempts at PT. Im four months after the end of our sessions, and my back is still feeling enormously better--I can run, lift, and play with the kids again. I highly recommend them!
I was consistently impressed by the team at Experience Momentum. Even in the middle of the pandemic, they were able to provide excellent service. Dr. Nancy Pickett, my physical therapist, was extremely attentive and helpful throughout my sessions. The initial knee pain that brought me in cleared up much faster than I expected and the exercises that Dr. Pickett provided have kept me feeling healthy for weeks after last session.
Great gym! I joined during Covid because my old gym didnt have sufficient Covid protocols in place. The Experience Momentum staff is incredibly welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable, and the workouts are great. They are challenging but not too intense, and this place does not have a bro-y vibe to it like some other gyms do. Its also awesome that theyre a B Corp and 1% for the Planet member and they try to have a positive impact in society beyond just being a great gym. Finally, Ive been very impressed with how theyve handled the challenges from Covid. Theyve had to make big changes to enable social distancing and sanitation (and theyve built an entire outdoor workout space), but theyve done a phenomenal job and have made it a safe and effective workout environment while seemingly being able to maintain a thriving business during a pandemic...my hat is off to them. Keep up the good work, EM!
I highly recommend Experience Momentum. I started coming here after I experienced lower back pain since July 2020. Everything about this place exceeds my expectations - the people (staff, trainers, physical therapists), the services offered, the facilities, the COVID safety precautions/measures. I especially want to thank and highly recommend Dr. Catherine! She gave me the care, the knowledge, and at-home exercises that helped alleviate my lower back pain and also made me stronger. Thank you.
I came here with some knee problems ~10 years post op (ACL tear). I had the pleasure of working with physical therapist Dr Nancy Pickett who was fantastic. She took a really holistic approach to my treatment, taking the time to really understand not only the issues I was having, but my goals in terms of fitness, mobility, etc. She was skillful in diagnosing my various ailments and prescribing exercises, stretches, and activities to combat them. The exercises she assigned me are great and the entire exercise program is well presented through an online portal (with images, details on sets, reps, etc).I saw nearly immediate improvement in my knee in the few weeks we spent together and continue to improve over time as I continue the exercises.I would highly recommend both Nancy and Experience Momentum to anyone with need for a physical therapist.
WHOLEHEARTEDLY RECOMMEND EXPERIENCE MOMENTUM FREMONT:Even with a broken ankle, my life has been a little crazy with the cross country travel. Ive seen various PTs in 4 different states now, so I can say with certainty that Experience Momentum provides some of the greatest tools for recovery than anywhere else out there (and they take my insurance)!! Theyre structured in a way that allows you to find a team of experts from various disciplines to help all in one place. I had the pleasure of working with an incredible team - Dr. Nancy Pickett and Dr. Nicholas Fabula for physical therapy, Andrew Bailey for massage therapy, and Nicole Thelan for nutrition. The amount of energy and attention that each of them spends during each session cant begin to compare to anywhere else Ive been. They devote the entire hour to working toward my goals, and put up with me despite my sadness over my limitations. Everybody I interacted with there, especially including Megan and Heather at the front desk, gave me the warmest welcome every time I called or arrived in person! And the most amazing part is theyve been offering telehealth as an option, so I can still schedule appointments with them even though I dont live in the area anymore :)
I just finished an 8 month knee surgery recovery and it couldnt have gone any better, all thanks to Experience Momentum! Geoff and Nancy were amazing trainers that were both knowledgable and professional, but also super easy to talk to and connect with, which is also important when youre going to meet with someone for months on end. I had surgery right when COVID started and they were on the ball for getting remote PT up and running - it was almost as if I was there in the room with them. I would 150% recommend Experience Momentum to anyone that is looking for PT in the Seattle area!
I recently had a nutrition appointment with holly, one of the registered dietitians on the EM staff, and had a great experience. She had a really personable touch and made the information easy to understand. Because of our appointment I feel like I have a much better grasp on my nutrition essentials and she helped me come up with a plan and goals that are catered to my life and schedule. I also work out at experience momentum and really enjoy working with the coaches. Their diverse classes provide a way to work on all aspects of fitness. Overall my nutrition appointment and workout classes have been really enjoyable
I found this work out studio thru ClassPass. I like pretty intense, heavy lifting and cardio gyms, so I am always apprehensive to try new gyms on class pass... but I am sooo glad I branched out and tried Experience Momentum! They always provide a great workout, in a space that has everything you need. Each day has a different main focus (core, upper body, lower body, total body, and cardio), and they rotate each week, in the case that you always attend the same day, you will still get variety over the month. I attached a picture of the January calendar for reference. You can see the designation for the day in the upper right corner. The facility has hand towels to use while working out, and showers available for after. There are cubbies to store your belongings. Street parking only in Seattle location (lot in Lynnwood), but I have never parked more than a block away. The staff has been great: friendly, attentive, and informative. And the workouts offer a lot of variety, and a great workout that I have almost always been sore from (in a good way!). I highly highly recommend it.
My physical therapist Dr. Nancy Pickett was easygoing and attentive, and every time we worked together I felt improvement in my shoulder pain.Nancy provided detailed instructions for at-home stretches and exercises to use on my own, and she checked in at the top of each virtual session with a few stretches to determine the days pain and mobility level. After about two months of meeting weekly over Zoom she suggested we meet every other week. I felt like she cared about me as a person, and I never felt pressured to do more than I felt capable of doing.I was nervous to start physical therapy during a shelter-in-place order, but my telehealth experience was wonderful and Im really pleased the results. Im so happy to say that after three months of working with Nancy, I can perform all my Flamenco drills and arm movements pain-free!Shout-out to the excellent office staff who managed all the insurance stuff and kept the technology seamless. Ill definitely come back to Experience Momentum.
I decided to schedule an appointment with a Registered Dietitian at Experience Momentum because I had been experiencing tiredness throughout the day that I had a hunch was nutrition related. I worked with Holly Anderson and she did a fantastic job at laying out some deficiencies I was having in my diet that were ultimately resulting in my low energy. Since then, after making some of her simple recommended adjustments, I have been experiencing much more sustained energy throughout the day. Id recommend Holly to anyone who needs any diet/nutrition assistance or advice!
This gym is amazing. The staff and instructors are encouraging, knowledgeable, and are great at making sure everyone has good form and stays injury free. The workouts are varied and are always challenging and interesting (and can be scaled/modified for all levels!). I have never been a real member of a gym before this one. I have hopped around on class pass, done some classes at the YMCA, but this is the first real gym community that actually convinced me to join. I have been a member for almost 6 months now and am stronger, more confident, and LOVE my gym routine.
My physical therapist, Dr Nancy Pickett, was wonderful and really helped me after I had persistent pain in my hip after a race. I’d never had PT before but Nancy worked with me to figure out what was wrong, set me some exercises to do at home, and made me work hard every week to get back on track and meet my goals for my next race. She was so supportive and friendly throughout. Thanks to her I feel better, am stronger, and was able to confidently tackle a new training plan. Honestly can’t recommend her knowledgeable help and the really very kind, professional folks at Experience Momentum enough. 👍🏻
Geoff, Erin and the rest of the amazing team at Experience Momentum are truly the best! Because of them, I was able to get back to an active lifestyle very quickly after a debilitating foot surgery. They took such great care of me and help me exceed my rehab goals. The patient experience felt more like having friends take care of you. This has been leaps and bounds the best PT experience and I cannot recommend them enough!
I highly recommend PT Nick Fabula. I had surgery to repair my torn labrum and rotator cuff. In the weeks post-op, I could barely do curls with 5 lbs. and I couldnt do an overhead raise at all. He took the time to understand my lifestyle, goals, and approach towards rehabilitation. Hes an excellent listener, communicator, and extremely knowledgeable. In just a few months, I was back to exercising, getting stronger, and feeling more confident. Still feeling great!
I wish I found Experience Momentum earlier, they have everything I would want or need right in one place. Dr. Nancy Pickett, my physical therapist, and the rest of the staff were all friendly and fun to talk with. Secretly I wish I was still hurt to I could keep going.
This was my first visit to Experience Momentum Fremont. The surroundings are modern and clean. I had a massage by therapist, Andrew Bailey. I came in with a lot of tension in my shoulders, neck and upper back and left feeling great. I would definitely recommend Andrew.
Ive been going to a Registered Dietitian, Holly Anderson, at EM for about 3 months now. Ive always been passionate about fitness and have tried so many different diets/coaches including macro counting, advocare, and whole30. However, out of all the coaches and diets I have tried, coming to Holly has, by far, been the best decision I have ever made. She is incredibly knowledgeable about food, exercise and overall health. She helps you understand the FACTS and science behind food and exercise...this was a refreshing experience. Holly has not only enhanced my life in psychical health but mental health as well. I have become a happier person because I could relate her teachings to my everyday life. I get excited to see her every week, tell her about my progress, and learn something new. Im so grateful she came into my life, I am a happier and healthier person because of it!
I started going to experience momentum after a car accident that happened to me in the beginning of September. My hobby is oly lifting and I needed help to get back into lifting post injury. Dr Nancy Pickett has been very attentive to my needs, readjusting and trying new things as I started my recovery. Highly recommend Nancy to anyone who needs PT.
Experience Momentum has changed my life! I have used all their services - physical therapy, Crossfit, fitness & yoga classes, nutrition and massage. I have had quite a few surgeries in the past 4 years and they have been a BIG support for me. They didnt just help me get back to daily living, but helped me exceed beyond and get back to my athletic performance level before surgery (even better actually). Physical therapy is completely tailored to the individual. I never felt like there was a formula for my rehab, but it moved at a pace that was right for me and never rushed me to get to a certain level by a certain time. The gym side is a place I love to be at. The coaches are so encouraging and are always working with people to modify so that everyone has a workout that is what they need. The community at EM is amazing too - the other members are supportive and encouraging to each other. Nutrition services were informative and the nutritionists take the time to get to know you and your lifestyle so that their advice is something that is practical and easy to implement. And massages, my absolute favorite service, are SO good! I am picky when it comes to massages and I had searched for years and didnt find anyone who was that great. But then I met Karen :) Massage services are amazing whether it is for relaxation or to help support physical therapy. I really feel like I belong at Experience Momentum and I am thankful for the community that they provide there for me.
Ive had many an injury. But where other PTs told me to lower my expectations of recovery, my physical therapist, Dr. Nick Fabula, along Nancy and Blake, took the time and effort to find root causes of my injuries, figure out my path to better physical health, and answer my millions of questions. I would definitely go back if I (but hopefully do not) need them again.
Ive been seeing Dr. Nancy Pickett my physical therapist for a few months to work on running related injuries. Ive been very happy with the results and just finished my program and am able to start building up my running again. I would recommend Experience Momentum to others battling running injuries, easy to get in and good quality care!
My Dietitian, Holly Anderson, has been helping me a lot for the past few months and she has been really great! Every time I see her, I learn a lot about how each different type food can help and heal the body. When I first meet her I was on a very strict Paleo diet and I felt so tired all the time. Holly has helped me by carefully adding foods back into my diet to make sure Im getting all the nutrients I need, while still trying to keep my skin feeling good. I feel more energetic now and It has been very exiting process!!
Experience Momentum is a great physical therapy office and so much more. Working with Dr. Nick Fabula as my Physical Therapist was fantastic. He walked me through my treatment and provided homework that was manageable and easy to complete. He not only helped me recover my injury but asked what my end goals were and made sure we got to that point. I appreciate the approach Dr. Fabula took with reassessing before prescribing more appointments. Overall had a great experience at Experience Momentum and would recommend any one to check them out if theyre looking for a PT.
Experience Momentum is filled with wonderful people. I started by seeing Dr. Nancy Pickett for physical therapy who is amazing and by the end of my rehab I was going to crossfit classes at the gym, scheduled nutrition visits, and even massage appointments. 10/10
I I enjoy this gym because its a one stop shop for taking care of my body with a physical & massage therapist, as well as a dietitian, and inspirational coaches, all who practice what they preach and are right there with you in class doing the same workouts and sweating it out with you.And they have a constant hunger to keep learning and improving and adding things that members ask for. The new class schedule really fit my schedule well!
Experience Momentum is the one stop shop for everything your mind body and soul needs. There is something here for the whole family whether it be a tough workout, grounding yoga, or a much needed massage This place does more than physical therapy, it will change your life. But be weary, They will challenge you to be better than when you walked in. So if you arent looking to become the best version of yourself, then youre not ready for what EM has to offer.
Mackenzie Schiltz is an amazing nutritionist. We had numerous sessions and I am very grateful for the impact she made. She is knowledgeable but also cares deeply. I am very fortunate to have had her guide us.
Im a sponsored bike racer and a knee injury was keeping me from training (no bueno). I couldnt figure out why it wasnt healing. Not only did they help it heal quickly, I discovered how to change my position and pedal in a way that gave me MORE POWER on the bike. I worked with Dr. Nick Fabula. He was fabulous!
Experience Momentum is more than just a gym to work out, or a clinic to do Physical Therapy, it is a community of compassionate people who meet you where you are at, and help you to achieve your best self. They truly do redefine what is possible by introducing better ways to strengthen and move through their AMAZING Physical Therapy team, motivating fitness coaches, educational nutritionists, talented massage therapists, and helpful front desk team. I am so grateful for Experience Momentum, and highly recommend this group of extraordinary people to improve your body, mind, and spirit.
I have been seeing Holly Anderson (Registered Dietitian) for the past few months and she has been amazing! She is super personable and very considerate/accommodating of each individuals different needs. Since seeing her, I have learned so much about strategic eating patterns and nutrition and how they can affect my body. I really enjoy working with Holly!
Experience Momentum changes lives! I first came to them for pt from knee surgery and am now doing nutrition and fitness. They also have massage therapy and cross fit. The highly trained staff really invest completely in you and walk along with you to achieve whatever goals you set for yourself, they actually even showed me I could set higher goals than I thought. Blake and Geoff are unbelievable, best PTs you will find! I’m more than twice as strong, agile, and healthy than the day I walked into EM.
I can honestly say that Experience Momentum is the best. I’ve used their services for Physical Therapy, Massage Therapy, Fitness and CrossFit. They also offer Nutrition counseling. All of my experiences have been top class. The staff is very energetic, professional, passionate, kind, and down to earth great people!
I love this place. Being a Para Olympic athlete they have helped me in so many ways, not only with my pt and massage therapy but im able to get all my questions answered. From good form while I workout to what should i be eating. I send my family here as well.
My family and I have been going to experience momentum for about 4.5 years and we are so glad we did! They are the most unbelievable people and treat you like family! They have helped my wife, son and myself with injuries and we’ve been apart of there fitness program for as well for just as long! It’s a clean facility and amazingly ran! So glad we started coming here!
I was very impressed with the team and their services overall. I was helped by their Physical Therapist, Nancy Pickett, and would certainly recommend her to anyone needing physical therapy.
I’ve been to a few PT’s at other places and I’m happy to have found Dr. Nancy Pickett. I wanted a PT that was focused on performance and not just recovery. She is super knowledgeable and amazingly good and what she does. I’ve learned a lot as a patient of hers and love the help she’s given me for the gym from her CrossFit background. She’s a super great person and makes each session fun.
I originally started at their Lynnwood location and was thrilled when they opened closer to home. Their running coaches/pt experts are hands down, the best ones Ive worked with.Special shout out to Shannon in Lynnwood who was the first one to finally see what was actually wrong with my body and get me started down the right path to, oh my God, enjoying running.Laura (both locations) and Geoff (Fremont) are also amazing physical therapists and so knowledgeable. If you are interested in your body and how it works, they will tell you what they are doing and why.I recommend this place to everyone.
It would take a LONG post to list out all the individuals and reasons that EM is a great place. So Ill keep it short (ish) and say that this place and all the folks in it deserve every bit of these five stars. Ive experienced just about everything EM has to offer — PT, fitness classes, massage, nutrition, Crossfit — and every experience has been great. Each person Ive encountered is professional, caring, and personable. From my first visit I knew I was going to stick around for a long time, and I look forward to spending time at EM every day. I highly recommend EM for any and all services that they provide!
I have been a patient at Experience Momentum for the past 2 years in PT, the staff is amazing. I am always greeted by staff and made to feel at home. The PT staff is experienced and worked to help me get back to all of my pre-surgery activities. I liked that they incorporate fitness, nutrition and health and treat the whole person from every angle. Greg Thody
Such a great team to work with! The PT doctors work closely with you to help reach your rehab and life goals - will definitely be coming back!
The quality of care at Experience Momentum is 2nd to none. I have rehabbed a number of different injuries over the years, and have found knowledge of EMs physical therapists to be outstanding. They have sincere care for each and every one of their clients. Treating the cause, and not just the pain, to prevent future occurrences is something they do very well. From Physical therapy, to nutrition, massage therapy, yoga, and personalized individual workouts, I cant think of a more holistic, comprehensive facility to address all of ones health and fitness needs.
Experience Momentum is a first class company. Their Fremont location is new and beautiful and should be your first option for your PT, Dietetics, and Wellness needs.
If you need a PT, this is a place to go! I have been a regular client in Lynnwood location after my knee surgery and am very excited to see the new location and familiar faces so close to work now!
I went to Experience Momentum after two spinal surgeries and two different Physical Therapist told me there is nothing more I can do for you I was completely defeated and still not walking 100% and started seeing Geoff at EM. Right from the beginning he took an interest in my needs and my goals. Geoff has worked with me going above and beyond to help me reach my goals. I could not be happier with my experience at EM with the therapist and the staff. I highly recommend them
I so appreciate the team at Experience Momentum! After over a year of failed procedures and PT with two other practices my physician referred me to Experience Momentum as a last ditch effort to address patellar tendonitis that wouldnt heal. I was incredibly discouraged but my EM PT team (Dr. Blake Stephens & Dr. Laura Mizumoto) figured out right away what was going on and had me back on track to pain-free exercise within weeks. They are fun to work with and I now have an understanding of how to run/walk/bike/exercise without re-injuring myself. I also benefited from their holistic and integrated approach. I met with Mackenzie Schlitz for nutrition advice and have been attending their gym classes, and there is clearly strong communication across their teams and services. So grateful to be able to move my body again!
Ive been an EM member for almost 4 years (in Lynnwood, and now extends to Fremont). Joining when my son was 8 months old, Im so grateful to have found a place that helped me get strong again, and stay physically able to do all the fun things in the great PNW outdoors (and carry my now 40+ pound kiddo). Very nice to have PT, fitness, massage, and nutrition all in the same place where staff can really get to know your quirks. Or even lend you their shoes (as happened once when I forgot mine!!) :)
Experience Momentum quite honestly changed my life. After struggling with a chronic injury for about a year and a half, I couldnt imagine myself ever training for a marathon again. My physical therapist team at EM (Dr. Blake Stephens, Dr. Laura Mizumoto, and Dr. Geoff Gabler) provided me with world class client services, useful exercises that work with my schedule, and soft tissue work that helped my recovery week after week. They also gave me a new outlook about running, teaching me long term ways to stay healthy be it through my form, or understanding the mechanics of my stride. But above all else, they showed so much compassion and patience with me when I experienced small setbacks, or just had tough runs that didnt go as well as I had hoped. They helped me change my mindset around running and gave me a safe space to discuss my mental struggles with the sport. Ultimately, my PTs at EM (Dr. Blake Stephens, Dr. Laura Mizumoto, and Dr. Geoff Gabler) gave me my running life back, and I have such wonderful relationships with all of them. In 10 years of running, walking through EMs doors in Fremont was the best decision I have ever made for my running health, and words cannot fully express my gratitude towards these three humans and this space.
Authentic, community-focused, people-centered, and goal-driven are all words that I would use to describe Experience Momentum. I started as a patient in early 2017 for an arm injury, and spent most of my time with Dr. Blake Stephens. The service and support received from Blake and the rest of the team goes so far beyond simply fixing an issue just to get you out the door. They make every experience personal and do their best to dive down to the root of the problem so that you can not only make a full recovery, but become better than when you first came to EM. The owner has created a culture that flows down through the entire staff and creates a unique and accepting environment that makes you excited to walk through the door. My positive PT experience led to me joining the gym and becoming a member of CrossFit Alderwood. The culture and atmosphere on the PT floor flows throughout the entire facility and the same passion and level or support is found in the coaching staff. It is the most unique and fun fitness environment that I have been a part of. I have been truly grateful for my experience at EM and would fully recommend them for any physical therapy or fitness needs!
They are highly competent, really friendly and caring.
Experience Momentum is such an amazing place! Everyone on staff is super friendly and focused on helping you achieve your goals. The physical therapists not only help you recover from injuries, but also address the root cause to prevent re-injury and work hard to help you get back to the lifestyle and activities you want before injury. The CrossFit coaches are focused on safety and form, and helping you set goals and smashing them. They also have a great variety of other fitness classes and are constantly creating new and challenging offerings. The nutritionists are very knowledgeable and provide thoughtful ways to help think about the food you fuel your body with and work with you to ensure you’re getting proper nutrition for your lifestyle. And the massage therapists are also excellent at keeping your muscles fresh for all those CrossFit and fitness classes, and they did a great job working with my wife throughout her pregnancy. EM has all the services you need to live a healthy lifestyle under one roof provided by a phenomenal staff!
My experience at Experience Momentum has been amazing. There is a spirit of positivity and encouragement from the front desk to the physical therapists and massage therapists. I am a 57 year old competitive weightlifter and crossfitter. I was referred by my doctor for a shoulder injury which ended up requiring major surgery in April of 2016. My rehab has been such a positive and successful experience. Not only have I gotten back to weightlifting and CrossFit, but I am stronger at a lot of things than I was before the surgery. My physical therapist, Dr Geoff Gabler, has been amazing in getting me back to what I love to do. He helped me believe I could get it back with his positivity and genius physical therapy. I always knew he believed we could get there which is so important. We continue to work together to keep me on track and to keep my body able to workout the way I want to. I want this kind of positive rehab experience for everyone and refer everyone I know to Experience Momentum.
Ive worked a lot with Experience Momentum and Geoff after a couple of shoulder surgeries. They are great.
I cannot say enough positive things about Experience Momentum. I joined their fitness program 3 years ago at the Lynnwood location and was blown away by the amazing staff and coaches there. They know how to push and challenge you, but in a safe way for your body. So many injuries occur when we as individuals dont listen to what our body is trying to tell us. So it is important to identify those moments and you can tell them that hey I am just not feeling this movement today that is 100% ok and they will help you find a modification that works for you.Even though I am mostly in the Crossfit/fitness area, the PTs, Massage Specialists and front desk staff really take the time to say hi, get to know you on a first name basis. The people who come to EM are equally amazing. What keeps me coming back is the community feel. I have created wonderful friendships here. Whether you are coming here for fitness, massage or PT, you will be in great hands! I keep telling myself I need to take advantage of the massages here!
I started PT at the Lynnwood location in 2011 to rehab an old knee injury. Slowly, as my knee improved, I was introduced to their classes and loved it. As my mobility improved, I wanted to improve other parts of my life and started seeing their nutrition consultant. After losing 60-ish pounds, I was introduced to sports and never looked back! The old couch potato in me is gone.I have utilized their physical therapy, nutrition, coaching, massage and gym membership (mostly CrossFit, but cycle, yoga and other fitness classes as well) over the years and they don’t disappoint. With their help, I’ve lost 80+ pounds and completed Ironman Arizona in 2017. (I didn’t know what a “triathlon” was in 2011!). They have given me the tools to live an active life and sometimes I surprise myself as to where life takes me.What sets them apart for me is just how much they care. There is always a hug or someone asking me about my day, even if they aren’t treating or coaching me. They make you feel like family.I am so excited about their new Fremont location and plan to visit their classes soon. I can personally attest that Dr. Geoff Gabler is fantastic and he rehabbed my latest injury until his move to Fremont.
“Community”, “supportive”, “encouraging”, “caring” and “inclusive” are words that come into my mind when thinking about the culture at Experience Momentum (EM). EM offers physical therapy, massage therapy, nutrition expertise, yoga, fitness classes (i.e. bootcamp) and crossfit. The fitness class that got me started at EM in 2016 is RunStrong. RunStrong is a class that is designed specifically for runners that focuses on building strength, improving performance and staying injury free. Side Note: RunStrong is designed by a doctor of physical therapy who also happens to be an elite runner. How cool is that? What I like the most about EM is that everyone is treated with the same amount of respect, attention and support regardless if you are just starting off or if you are an experienced/competitive athlete. The fitness coaches and PT’s will constantly challenge you yet are supportive and encouraging. They each take time to get to know you as an individual and genuinely care about your personal fitness journey.
I have been going to Experience Momentum since August 2017 for rehab after two back-to-back surgeries and a re-injury. Dr. Geoff Gabler has been my main PT and I highly recommend him to anyone! He is very personable, professional and extremely passionate in helping people. He helped me make a 100% recovery back to Crossfit post hip/back surgery. He has also continued to help me stay moving and mentally sound after going through some re-injuries the past 7 months. Geoff has not only helped me recovery physically but also mentally and emotionally. He truly cares about his patients and you are in his best interest.EM feels like a second family. Everyone who works there is very positive, energetic, knowledgeable and compassionate. I also recommend Dr. Blake Stephens, Dr. Laura Mizumoto, Dr. Stephanie Magnin and Dr. Taylor Carney. I have had the privilege of working with all of these physical therapists and I highly recommend them to all my family, friends and co-workers.The owner is amazing, Dr. Shanon Tysland, he is very welcoming and friendly. He has been part of many of my PT sessions. One thing that I love about EM is that they all work together and often I will have two physical therapists working with me in one appointment. Having two sets of eyes makes me feel confident that I am getting the best physical therapy and rehab.Apart from Physical Therapy they also offer Massage Therapy(I recommend Matt), Nutrition services and Fitness and Crossfit! All of their coaches are very friendly and upbeat! Brent, Nessa, Kim, Brittany, Christi and Neno are my favorite people that work on the fitness side! EM is an amazing community and their friendly staff will make you feel right at home.
This is an amazing facility and the staff are very knowledgeable and supportive.
