I have been training at Fitness Together for about a month now and absolutely love them! The trainers are professional, helpful and will help you realize your health and fitness goals! I have already lost 2% of body fat since I started training with them!!! Bri and Charlie make my workouts enjoyable and I am actually excited to go workout (that was never the case before I started training at Fitness Together). I would 100% recommend them to my friends and family!
I love Bris energy and attitude. She has made the effort to learn about me and how my body reacts to various exercises. She checks in with me throughout the workout to ensure that my back (knee or shoulder) is still feeling okay/strong. If Im not feeling 100%, its great that I can let her know ahead of time that my back is a little sore - shell adjust the session to focus on strength or stretching or foam rolling. I appreciate using the session to help me feel better ... because I dont like missing my Bri/Fitness Together time.
The trainers at Fitness Together are amazing! They are so knowledgeable, professional, and I really appreciate how supportive they are of my fitness goals. When they started offering virtual training during quarantine I gave it a try and was immediately hooked! Being able to get a real workout from the safety of my own living room during this crazy pandemic has been so good for my mental and physical health.

I never really considered myself an athlete, but I could get away with my very average body type until I got to a certain age. Then-- I needed some help to maintain my flexibility, stamina, and strength. Going to a self-directed gym doesnt work for me-- I would always have an excuse to skip it, and would not really challenge myself with any sort of routine. Ive spent the past two years as a Fitness Together client. It is an investment in myself. The personal attention and expertise I get from the trainers is perfect for me, and I now feel good about my fitness level. My current trainers, Josie and Charlie, are dedicated and make my workouts interesting and fun. I highly recommend FT West Seattle.

As someone who has spent their life avoiding physical activity but am now entering a certain age bracket, I made the decision to get serious about learning how to work out. Ive made attempts in the past of awkwardly shuffling around 24-Hour Fitness trying to mimic what I saw in YouTube videos, but ultimately never felt like I understood how to actually lift weights and get any results.Hence, I joined Fitness Together with the goal of learning how to properly and safely lift weights. And I have to say that all the trainers at this location were fantastic. They listened to my goals, created a plan, kept me accountable, and answered by constant questions. In ~14 months of once-per-week sessions, I went from barely knowing what a barbell was to deadlifting and squatting with ease. As of today I have dropped ~1-2% body fat and gained ~8lbs of lean mass since I first started. Not bad!It is pricey, yes. But for me, I feel it was worth it as a way to learn the correct form and habits that I can use in the future. I always felt welcome and encouraged at this location, so I heartily recommend it if you want some help in getting fit but find it difficult to get started.
I appreciate the custom-designed workout for my age, ability and strength. Trainer checks in each session for feedback about the previous workout and gradually increases the exercises to build strength and endurance. Charlie is very encouraging throughout the 45-minute workout and it makes me want to push myself. Thank you.
Fitness Together West Seattle is a great, motivating place to workout. It is not your typical gym, it is a private one on one setting. All the trainers are familiar with what your abilities are, so if you have to change your schedule and workout with a different trainer it is a seamless transition. They are very motivating, fun and always change things up so the workouts are never boring. I started with a 10 session package, thinking that I would get a routine down and be motivated to workout on my own when the sessions were done. I found the trainers so motivating and fun that I am still here 7 months later....much stronger, my balance has improved and I continue to lose weight!
The trainers are skilled and make every workout fun! I have RA so they are able to tailor my workouts based on my current level of comfort or discomfort. I tell them regularly that they keep me putting one foot in front of the other. Fitness Together treats each of us individually - no one size fits all! Thanks, FT.
Fitness Together has been instrumental in my journey from Yuck to Yay! A year ago I climbed the stairs -- stopping half way up to regain my breath -- for the first time, anxious about judgment, fearful about feeling weak, and dreading feeling vulnerable. What I found was support, encouragement, and celebration with each small win. The team is quite-simply amazing: professional, capable, fun, celebratory of my progress, and gently accepting of my backsliding. Of all the things I will invest my time and money in over the next year none, literally none, is more important to me and my family than what I invest in with Fitness Together.

Im 64, overweight and tired. It was a huge stretch for me to take the step of working out, and the environment at FT is perfect in relieving my apprehensions. My trainer Tara is professional and encouraging, and she pushes me forward to just the right degree. After my sessions with Tara, I leave feeling accomplished and stronger. I love working out at Fitness Together in West Seattle! About a year ago I started training with them and have enjoyed working with several of the trainers. The one on one training is so helpful and I really appreciate that they always meet me where I am that day. If Im tired and my body is sore I can do a less intense workout or if Im energetic and excited they can make it more challenging. They keep records from week to week so I can see where Ive improved since joining and they can plan a custom workout for every session to help me meet my goals. No matter how I feel when I go in to exercise, I always leave in a better mood. If youre looking for a new place to workout I definitely recommend Fitness Together.
Ive worked out with trainers in the past, but Bonnie and her team of amazing trainers are among the best. They are so friendly, and they know when to challenge, and how to motivate. I have seen some big changes in my body and in my strength in just a few weeks -- if you are considering trying personal training, this place is truly fantastic. Highly recommend!
Fitness together is so much fun. I have been going there for about 6 months now. Even after all this time, my trainer Cara, completely changes up my workouts to give me the best results. Its exhausting but all in the best ways. I have used different personal training services in the past at different gyms. I love fitness together, and its the only one I would actually recommend. Its great because they have a file and take notes on your progress to make sure you are meeting your goals. Great team of people!
I cant thank West Seattle Fitness Together enough for everything they have done for me and helped me accomplish. I first joined Fitness Together to lose weight (under doctors orders) so I could qualify for total knee replacement (both knees). With a lot of hard work and the help from the Fitness Together training team we accomplished the goal and I had my knees replaced. The recovery took much longer than anticipated. Because of the long recovery period, and relative inactivity, I put some of my weight back on. Well, 17 months ago I was able to start back at Fitness Together. The training team modified some of the exercises to help with the new knees. The trainers also helped with nutritional advise. The net result from those 17 months is currently, 103 lbs weight loss, 58 inches lost, lower blood pressure, and in general..JUST FEELING GREAT ABOUT MYSELF. The training staff is great, very positive, very motivating, and very tough when needed. The one on one approach is fantastic, everything is geared to the individual...not a template approach. They have helped make this a lifestyle change. I want to thank Bonnie, Brenda, Carmen, Melissa, Louise and Duncan for all of their help and guidance (and tough love ) to help me get where I am. I highly recommend Fitness Together to anyone who wants to lose weight, get healthier and get into shape, so they can enjoy life.
Ive been really pleased with my experience at West Seattle Fitness Together. In two and a half months Ive lost 20.5 lbs. and 5 inches off my waist. These are the best results Ive ever gotten on a fitness/diet plan (and Ive tried plenty of em). Bonnie (the owner) and Brenda (my diet coach) have both been great. They are very positive, motivating, and they set me up on a plan that worked well for both my lifestyle and my finances. Id recommend this business to anyone who would like to lose weight and/or get healthier.

I have been going to Fitness Together almost 2 years now. I thought I was going to join just to meet my goal for my upcoming wedding. I exceeded my goal for my wedding date and continued to stay with FT because they are so encouraging and motivating. I feel so comfortable going here to get pushed beyond anyway I can push myself trying to do fitness routines on my own. I hate going to boxed gyms, so the setup here with private rooms and a personal trainer is exactly what I need.I never have the same routine so you dont get bored. It doesnt matter the trainer for the day, I know I will be challenged and have fun doing it. Everyone is so personal and friendly while taking the time to get to know you and listen carefully helping you get to your goals. I highly recommend this place. If you are thinking about doing something, the best you can do is stop thinking about it and just do it!
After I retired, I tried for over a year to lose some of the weight gained in 30 years of a desk job. After putting on even more weight, I decided to try Fitness Together, based on the recommendations of my wife. After three months, I’m seeing the results I hoped for and I thoroughly enjoy interacting with their first rate staff. They do health assessments, help with learning proper nutrition, and, of course, guide my work-outs. I haven’t actually thrown up during a work-out yet, but I’ve felt like it a couple of times, if that counts. These guys are super good at what they do, and there is nothing to fear. I like my work-outs and the first rate trainers even more than in the honeymoon phase. I am still pushing forward with my general fitness and I simply feel better and better. Angie has been gently and persistently prodding me into improving my eating (and drinking) habits, and that too is showing me a better way to live. I absolutely love being able to enjoy my outdoor activities again without being completely thrashed by them. Life is fun again thanks to Fitness Together. My wife and I just signed up for another year and we are excited to see what it will bring. By the way, the work-outs don’t really get easier. They are intended to keep you progressing.3/7/18Fitness Together has helped me to do what I would never have done on my own. The trainers are highly skilled and always adjust my workouts to my needs. Fitness Together is worth every penny, and more.1/9/19 – My wife and I have been with FT for over two years. In that time, I‘ve had a chance to work out with just about every trainer. They are all great people with a deep knowledge of fitness and healthy diet. It has been a pleasure working with each of them. It really has taken two years to get my health turned around and headed in the right direction. My joint aches have pretty well disappeared and I have got to the point that my workouts don’t finish me off for the rest of the day. I’m in my mid 60’s and I really don’t feel that old now (knock on wood). More like when I was 40.We would recommend FT to anyone who can still make it up the four flights of stairs to get there. The gym is clean, private, and certainly well enough supplied with equipment. I doubt that I would have started or continued at one of the big commercial gyms. I really like the one-on-one experience at FT.

The best thing Ive ever done for myself!I started my training at Fitness Together in May 2011, and the fact that this former couch potato is still coming twice a week speaks volumes for the quality of care, knowledge, and service that everyone at FT West Seattle provides.Brenda, Carmen, Melissa and Louise have helped propel me to levels of fitness and abilities I never dreamed were possible. Ive lost over 7% body fat in that time, and gained about 12 lbs of pure muscle; my resting heart rate has dropped from 65 to 56, and my blood pressure has dropped by almost 20 points. Oh, and I can beat my boyfriend at arm wrestling too. :)Is it hard work? Absolutely. This isnt some pretend gym where people pat you on the head and tell you youve burned a hundred calories because you blinked at the Nautilus machine. Ive tried getting personal training before at some local chains (I wont name names, but they sounded like 24 Glower Fitness, and Fall-Star Gym) and I could tell I wasnt a valued customer. Here, I definitely feel valued. The care and support Brenda and all the other trainers have shown me has really helped my confidence and self-esteem, and they are always willing to work with me on payment plans, scheduling, nutrition, and anything they think will help me achieve my goals. It is expensive, but in terms of value - its worth every penny!Thank you everyone at Fitness Together (trainers and members too!) - I appreciate everything youve done for me!!
I love the one on one sessions as they are for me and address my goals. The workouts are fun. I love how they vary and I am moving the whole time, doing different exercises in intervals. The time flies by so fast.

Ive been struggling with reoccurring injuries/issues for the past 3 years and getting fit without proper guidance has not worked out for me. I can already tell after just a handful of visits just how much the trainers care about each persons individual process. They help you work toward mobility, stability and strength. Im really looking forward to improving my overall health with their help over the next several months.
This business is a gem and anyone who writes otherwise either has not been here at all or has not given it a fair try. I have been a client for many years and am continually impressed with the dedication and professionalism of the trainers. If you want rows and rows of gleaming new expensive machines go elsewhere. If you want people who understand how to work with the basics to get maximum results, this is the place. It is not inexpensive but its not out of line with what training costs elsewhere, either. I figure I can spend my money on medications as health issues worsen or I can spend it on improving my physical and functional fitness and education. I choose the latter and I choose West Seattle Fitness Together. Dont believe negative reviews written by people you dont know. Dont even believe me. But do come see for yourself and decide.

FT and the awesome trainers have encouraged me to be a strong Mom! and pushed me further than I knew I could go. I look forward to the workouts and to catching up with all of the trainers. I know that they are supportive of my goals and they are working to help me achieve them.
Ive been a client of Fitness Together since May and have had a truly wonderful experience. Sure Ive lost weight but more importantly Ive dropped body fat percentages a lot and feel incredibly healthy!! The trainers really know how to structure a workout around your goals and injuries. I was a college athlete and have some lingering pains that have bothered me for the past decade. Starting a new program was scary for me because I didnt want to get hurt again. Ive found my fears were unfounded when you have such a knowledgeable and dedicated team on your side. I feel like an athlete again! A very big heartfelt thank you to the entire team Ive worked with at Fitness Together (Duncan, Kelsey, Melissa, Bonnie, Carly, Louise). I can honestly say that you have changed my life!!

Fitness Together made a critical difference in my quest to improve my health.I selected Fitness Together after carefully evaluating my options for fitness training. I found that I was concerned about the education and credentials of big box gym “trainers” and the cost savings weren’t competitive, offering little or no value for a less qualified “professional trainer.” Fitness Together quickly addressed my concerns about the qualifications of their staff, and I was not disappointment in their extensive knowledge and diverse specialties. Initially I harbored reservations about working with a team of trainers as oppose to one specific trainer consistently. Very quickly I realized I actually prefer that system with a fresh set of eyes on me, different feedback on effective form and the like, and that approach meant I could emphasize my scheduling needs on any given day or week within their extensive hours instead of working around one trainers availability.I arrived in their studio with multiple needs: I was ending physical therapy for a knee injury but strengthening and stability needed to continue, on a medication that induced significant weight gain, and trying to prepare my body for pregnancy. Self-motivated and physically active for a couple of years preceding training, I knew I needed to work out better and more efficiently. They were specific to investigate the role of accountability in my decision to pursue training – to what extent was my showing up to exercise a struggle? The real difficulty for me was that I was spending 90-180 minutes working out 4-6 days a week without seeing sufficient returns. I’ll show up, but I needed to know what to do!Each session the trainer would ask how my knee and my body was doing and patiently listen to, respond, and adapt to my report. I have avoided a repeat knee injury and made such a fine recovery that surgery wasn’t considered necessary either. Additionally I prefaced my start with them explaining that the medication causing nearly 60 pounds in weight gain was for the time being non-negotiable so while weight loss would be a bonus I needed to focus my effort on other measures of success as I had more limited control over the scale results. They were extremely receptive and respectful of this need and helped me to measure and celebrate other indicators of improvement, the scale functioning as only one facet of how they measure achievement at Fitness Together. Ultimately, I was able to drop 21 pounds with their training, while actually reducing the amount of time I spent at the gym and increasing the efficiency of my exercise sessions. My weight loss plateaued for the best possible reason: I was blessed to embark on a healthy pregnancy. The staff at FT worked with me from Day 1 into my 2nd trimester and I quickly learned there was no better time to emphasize efficiency during exertion! I ran out of sessions for the time being, but I’m genuinely looking forward to further Fitness Together training in the future!
FT is great! They keep me on track and make me to interesting things that I would never do on my own.
Ive lost 20lbs and 2 in 2 months between FT twice a week and nutrition. I love having a set schedule and getting in and getting it done!
