Awesome staff! Responsive to tenants needs. Great location. Inexpensive comparatively speaking. The pool is a hidden gem!

This has seriously been one of the best apartments Ive lived at in the Seattle area! The manager Teresa and Jennifer in the office are both so nice and respond to everything almost instantly, and the maintenance staff has a great sense of urgency when you need them (which for me in 1.5 years here has only been once, also awesome). The unit itself is spacious with a ton of storage and way more affordable than much smaller apartments in the neighborhood which I appreciate so I can give my kitty some more space to play around (did I mention theyre pet friendly?) Youre not going to find a better value in this part of town, especially with other complexes jacking up prices in anticipation of the new mall, so the fact that the managers and staff are so nice and accommodating is just an extra awesome bonus!

The office staff here has been very professional, genuine, and all together nice. We have been primarily going through Jennifer and she has been more than amazing! Theyve been very attentive with our maintenence requests and patient with us while we have been moving in! Couldnt ask for better office or maintenence staff! Thank you guys so much, and keep doing what youre doing!

I lived here for 4 years, and I love these apartments. There arent many left in this style in Seattle - these were the original apartments built for the employees at the then new Northgate Mall, so if you like older style with a bit of history, these are great. The prices have stayed reasonable too, which is surprising for Seattle.They have free heat, which can be a blessing and a curse - its free, which is awesome, but its old boiler heat, so it comes on at predetermined times and can be a bit noisy as it starts up. Other things I liked - easy access to transit and shopping, theres a target next door, QFC a couple blocks away, and the (currently remodeling) Northgate Mall across the street.The units are pretty spacious - a studio is actually livable here, as you get a small separate kitchen and enough closet space, and there are windows on both sides so you can get some ventilation going through.I was concerned when the complex was sold and changed management this year, but the new crew has been great. Very pleasant to work with and very responsive when issues arise - its nice to know that they will do everything they can to make things right and look out for the residents. I appreciate that.

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with living here and the management company. Teresa is amazing and has been so gracious. Everything is responded to immediately and I have actually moved twice within the complex which has gone as smooth as humanly possible because of everybody on the staff. I highly recommend living here!!

These are vintage buildings, but working with Bernard of the Maintenance Team, youd never think twice about it. He has been wonderful and has made any issues that arise a non-issue. The last tenant did a real number on our unit, and our unit transfer having been necessarily rushed, resulted in some small things still needing taken care of; and despite being the only dedicated maintenance man on staff, Bernard has not only been able to maintain the entire grounds, but also puts the needs of the tenants above all else, which really leaves us feeling valued - a rare thing in the housing market these days. Give that man a raise or a medal, whichever comes first. The Office staff has been really supportive and easy to work with; going as far as having our autistic daughters room painted pink. Absolute delight. They have a lot on their plate, trying to right the wrongs and streamline the cluster of past management, but they do it with professionalism and a smile.

I am a current resident here and I love it here. Teresa and Jennifer work in office and are amazing and very professional. Maintenence is always done in a timely manner and the grounds are always clean. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to live in the area.

This place was well taken care of. Heat is included in utilities, so youll never be cold in the winter. Nice green space between building. Office staff are kind and helpful.

Honestly unsure how there are so many bad reviews. We lived here for a little over a year and it has been a great experience. We thought it was nothing but a great deal. It’s also an awesome location if you commute downtown.Great neighbors and management has been nothing but awesome. We had good experiences with both management (new owners and management in 2020), however it seems that new management has a lot more manpower. The maintenance team is friendly and competent as well.The apartment contracts private security that patrols at night since it is in a busy area of Northgate with a night hotline. A nice perk which gives some peace of mind.I read some of the bad reviews and couldn’t help but agree with some of the points. Yes there will be some boiler noises and yes heat is controlled via a timer... but it’s free heat you don’t pay for (it’s included in the rent)! And you’re not going to find cheaper rent in the area.If you value saving time on commutes and saving money on monthly rent, this is a sweet place. I wish we found this place sooner. The last thing is this- the entire living room is lined with windows so your room lights up with sun when it’s sunny!

Im really happy to live here. It is really affordable with cozy features that you wont get in those expensive concrete jungles. Love the management and maintenance crews who are attentive. I love this community setting. And living right across from Target is legit too.

They’re very helpful when you need something repaired or replaced with extremely helpful staff you never get this anywhere else I’ve lived in my life Teresa is a amazing property manager here at north gate apartments a very genuine kind sole who goes beyond here job to help her tenants with anything with in her means

I really dislike that I feel compelled to write a negative review, but here we are. I lived here for almost 3 years and dealing with management was nothing but a struggle. With temps in and out of the main office, it was difficult to get consistent information and replies. There was nothing in the way of mass communication/updates to residents. I was surprised on multiple occasions by large construction vehicles/equipment directly outside my front door, accompanied by trash/food remnants from whoever was working on the project without a word from management. Their office hours, for someone who works 9-5 and commutes, left no flexibility in terms of picking up packages (they were open something like 8:30-4, or 9:30-5 ) that may have been delivered to the office. On one occasion, a package (a gift) arrived for me which I was unable to track online since I wasnt made aware it was being shipped to me. It sat unattended for 11 months in the leasing office, until I happen to be in for something else and asked about packages. No attempt was made to contact me about its arrival for 11 months. When addressing concerns around office open hours/package procedures/etc, I have been disappointed with the customer service Ive received. This is not a place, unfortunately, that is going to care about anything other than your rent check. I moved out before a work order could be fixed that I had submitted months before my move out date. Hopefully with the new management company, theyll be able to step things up, but I cannot in good conscience recommend living here.

Jennifer is amazing! She works in the leasing office. What ever problem I am in the apartment she’s will send someone right away to fix it.

LOVE MY PLACE!! I searched and searched and so happy here!Tons of closet space, open floor plan great manager.. lived here 3 months and no complaints!

Showed up for a 9am apartment viewing and sat outside in the cold for 45 minutes waiting for someone to show up.Nobody showed up.Wasted $48 round trip in Uber fees to show up and essentially sign a lease on the spot.Apartment seemed like a good spot with great prices, really glad I stuck with my gut feeling and checked it out before actually signing something.An expensive waste of my time on my day off.

Heater sometimes hot, sometimes cold. can it work depend on the temparatuer?

Somehow they got into my google account and posted a 5 star review. I’ve since changed my password and updated this review. I have never lived in this complex. If they are willing to post fake, hacked reviews I wouldn’t move in if I were you.

There is 2 carpet cleaning fee for 15 years old carpets...They will charge you carpet cleaning fee when you move in and when you move out...Some of your deposit will not be returned although you paid carpet cleaning fee when you moved in Manager woman who is in the office really does good job and she was the only thing I liked about this place... Keep up good work Ms.P

These apartments are not livable. They are mold infested. In the winter time you freeze because the heating is controlled by a timer from the boiler room. The only way to keep moisture from building up on the Windows keeping the window seals from rusting is to keep the Windows open and I stay congested. These are unsafe living conditions. I had feces back up into my tub due to poor plumming, the same thing happened in my kitchen sink. Junk from the other apartments in my building backed up into my sink. The lead paint they use peels off the window seals. They dont scrape and sand paper out old spots on the doors before painting over them. I have had my car stolen to find out the fake under video surveillance sign was really fake because there was no video surveillance at all and my car window was also broken. I have not had any upgrades to my apartment but they raise my rent every year. The new manager is very unfriendly. I clashed with her from start. I miss the old manager.

This place leaves a lot to be desired. Cant drink the tap water. Walls painted over lead paint. No screens on the ancient windows. No true control over the temperature of the apartment. Not allowed to smoke or vape even outside. Not allowed to have a dog even though I saw at least five other residents with them. When we first moved in they wanted to charge rent for pets! You have to pay to park. Really bad paint job inside. USPS doesnt bother to bring your packages to your door, youve gotta get them at the office, and you have to call to see if you have any instead of someone notifying you. They say they have security but i had several things stolen off of my front and back porches. I could go on, but...

I lived in these apartments for a year in unit 242. Nobody told me about the noise coming from the walls when I moved in. It was two months later when heating kicked in that the pipes in the malls would make very loud thumping noises every couple hours. Also I moved out on the 2nd of Feb. and am being charged for the entire month. Worst physical place and customer service I ever had.

Great staff and very convenient location

Tough parking, thin walls, homeless wandering through the yards and parking lot. Also, there are some mold in apartments and trouble with the heat not working for days.

How do you expect people to rent from you if you arent open when people arent working.

Cool layout, prime location, obvious accompanying problems, but seriously, not a secret or a swindle. Like it or leave it.
