Inaccurate apartment listing pricing. Told by agency staff that they are probably like that as clickbait to get you to give us a call.
I have stayed here since a year and half now, and never had any issues. Since the new manager Olivia took charge, this place has been a great place to be in. Never had any maintenance issues and all the email responses are on time. Would definitely suggest moving and staying here to experience the most beautiful, lively and welcoming place in Seattle.
Moved in a couple weeks ago and I couldnt have asked for a better experience. Management was very friendly and helpful with the viewing, lease signing, and move in. The apartment itself is amazing! Cozy, great view, new kitchen. There are a few things that are vintage, but well cared for so everything works great. I had only one thing that didnt work when I moved in, but I contacted management and they sent someone to fix it within an hour. Fantastic place.
I thoroughly enjoy my apartment here! Management are on point with any issue, kind, and helpful. Moving in went great! Neighbors are incredibly friendly, great neighborhood, and I cannot - cannot -stop loving on the radiant heated floor and fantastic views of the water and downtown Seattle.I dont know what happened in the past, prompting negative reviews, but my experience is completely opposite - in every way.
Ive been here since January of 2020 and while I was a bit hesitant to move in because of the negative reviews Id seen, I gotta say this place has been nothing but stellar. The neighborhood is awesome with shops, restaurants, bars and the space needle being just a few minutes walk away. The place is kept clean with any maintenance issues being addressed quickly and professionally. Management has been nothing but top notch as well. I plan on staying here for a long time!
An update on my previous review, It seems like finally owner hired a good management team and one of my friend who is still in this building is happy with the hard work new property manager team is putting into the building. I should say well done and I appreciate to turn this amazing building back to its potential as a safe and good place to live at.Previous review: I would say building was so nice not too long ago, I lived in this building from 1/1/2016 until 5/30/2019(I am moving out in a month). when I first moved the building property manager was Roy and he was a great guy. worked so hard and took care of building well. after 12 years he decided to quit ( I do not blame him because he was getting paid really low and building needs a lot of maintenance).since January 2019 to now yet we do not have a property manager (they hired 6 people so far and all of them quit). building is tearing apart. Parking garage being broken into 3 times recently. (2 times last year)one of the property managers they hired quit his job because he figured there is asbestos in some units.(what a show for residence)door handle to get into the building is broken for one week and my emails to property manager is completely being ignored.Water has issues and specially recently. (Hot water for a quick shower before work? forget about it!)as I mentioned I am moving out in a month, I really hope owner start putting some money to the building.Residents are super nice and I had great time living with cultured people in this building. they deserve better.
I moved into the building in May of 2019 despite these terrible online reviews, and Ive had nothing but pleasant experiences as a resident here. The community managers (Michelle, Olivia and Addison), maintenance staff (Iken is a rockstar among others), and residents have made my time living here very enjoyable. I originally signed a short-term lease as I unexpectedly moved to the area and wasnt sure how long I would be staying, but after my 6-month lease was up, I moved into a different unit because A) I couldnt find anything in the Seattle metro area better for the price, and B) I genuinely enjoy living here. The location is incredible - I walk to and home from work downtown every day (when its not raining), and on the days the weather is bad, the bus stop is literally right out the front door. The neighborhood is beautiful. There is garage parking available, but since the building faces a giant park I never have any issue finding free street parking. The building is old, yes, but if you can find a nice unit, this place is awesome. Spacious, quiet, kind and courteous residents, safe, etc. Never have had any packages stolen, dealt with any break ins, etc. Only had one maintenance issue living here and it was fixed in a timely manner. Residents are diverse from all walks of life, and can honestly say that pretty much everyone who lives here is respectful, kind, friendly, and normal. My only complaint would be that the laundry facilities are very outdated and desperately need to be replaced... Other than that, the new management company Allied is doing a great job running the place! Skyline House is a hidden gem if you find the right unit - dont let these google reviews scare you. (PS - ask them about the asbestos stuff, it really hasnt been an issue at all. They were super transparent with me about it originally.) (FTR, I did negotiate my rent.)
This place is a mess and falling apart. Certain type of mold issue, no hot water in the morning during the time most people are trying to get ready for work, property managers keep quiting after a week...yet they increased the rent? Who ever plans to move in should definitely negotiate the rental price.
Our experience living at Skyline House has been very positive overall, and I can confidently recommend the building to anyone looking for a convenient, yet relatively quiet place with quick access to both Downtown Seattle as well as the Queen Anne, Ballard, and Fremont neighborhoods. The on-site management keeps the building very clean and presentable and is always willing to put in extra effort to help (e.g. staying a bit late so you can grab that Amazon package youve been pining for). The reasons I am not rating this 5 stars are (a) I *hate* vertical blinds and (b) the exterior windows are single pane, so they radiate cold as well as dont insulate noise very well.
If you like an alarm going off every time you are come home you should live here!!! You wont be able to sleep any longer. Dont really like this place cant wait to get out!!!
Used to be a decent place to live- until the longtime manager quit. Since then, theyve been through multiple managers and maintenance teams, none of whom communicated with the next. There was an asbestos investigation, lead was found in the building, our heat was stuck ON for 5 days and during an 85 degree weekend because nobody knew how to fix the boiler. The hot water was cutting out frequently, there were things stolen out of the garage after someones key fob was stolen and wasnt deactivated by management. The owners of the building wont even talk to the residents who live there. Everything has to go through the manager de jour.
This place has been a mess in last 12 months. When I moved in, Roy was the manager and he managed the property really well apart from being friendly to the residents. As soon as he left, few managements came in his place and they left. Some management companies even sued the owners of the property. They have not properly disposed asbestos whihc could cause lung disease etc.. . Dont really know how many residents were affected by it.I have to get screened for all the possible diseases related to asbestos. The new management is no different. They can be negligible without much effort. When I gave my notice period, they havent asked for my new address to send my deposit back, inspite of asking them for formalities three times in person. They mailed me after a ten days asking for new adress so thay they could charge me an extra day of rent & paint charges over my security deposit.I would definitely not recommend it to young people. Young people will be affected severely by asbestos. Serious no for people with small kids.Dont fall for the old tactics they use, (old wine in new bottle), that we are the new management and it has been the case with old management. I have witnessed the negligence and short cuts of the management in effort to reduce the cost of maintenenance.
NO NO NO ! NEVER MOVE HERE! It’s such a horrible place that I’ll never forget.
