We are displaced from a hurricane and Ark La Tex Animal Clinic helped make sure my fur babies had their medicine. I am so grateful.

I took my 7 month old kitten to get neutered there yesterday. The staff was friendly, the front office looked clean. They told me to follow the page about after care, I asked questions about the instructions while there since they didn’t make anything clear (instructions say come back 7-10 days to get stitches out and didn’t tell me if he had any or not until I asked about that). Today is the day after (obviously) and his poor little sacks have ripped open. They didn’t stitch him AT ALL, didn’t glue him, nothing. Didn’t provide a cone or anything for him at all. I tried calling them, they are apparently closed. Tried their AFTER HOURS number and got nothing but a voicemail, no ringing nothing. This place is a joke. I seriously regret taking him here. I hope he ends up healing good or he at least can make it until Monday so we can take him somewhere else.

Very dissatisfied with the lack of concern for my kitty. She has an infection that the multiple visits and medications have not cured after surgery performed at this clinic. The doctor was less than gentle with my ailing kitty. I would recommend finding other options if you have a cat. Seems as though she isn’t partial to cats.

Dr. Wheat has such a heart for animals and has treated our fur babies wonderfully. She’s met us after hours multiple times and has NEVER overcharged us. Her genuine love for animals manifests in concern to get them well no matter the hour. We’re a huge fan of her! 🐾

Highly recommend! Always loving, kind and gentle. Wait time is very short, very efficient, thorough. Very reasonably priced. Great care for my fur babies always. Thank you Dr Wheat, nurses and staff, you are awesome!

They are so nice here! I love that they are doing curbside appointments during the quarantine. Prices are very reasonable and wait time was zero.

I buried my 14 year old Tom Cat today. Found him in the driveway in distress. Not able to breathe. On a Wednesday when theyre supposed to be closed, during the middle of a pandemic, they looked at him, they x-rayed him, and they found a blockage. Bone, hook, string, were not sure what it was, but they did everything they could to try and help my old Tom. Dr. Beth didnt want to quit trying. But after several hours into lunch, Tom didnt make it. They were Very reasonable with me in their efforts. I would recommend them to anyone. They kept it simple honest and open. They helped me get through a 14 year loss knowing that I did all I could do. They were very reasonable with the cost. They dident take advantage of me and my situation to make a buck. THANK YOU ALL. Took my pregnant pit in that was in distress and Dr. Wheat and her staff took excellent care of her and saved 6 of her babies. The entire staff stayed past closing and were so sweet and caring for momma and her babies. And the price we were charged was way less than we were expecting. Thank you Arklatex animal clinic!!!

I will never use any other Vet. Dr. Wheat and her staff are the absolute best. They have cared for all of our animals as if they were their own. We have used a couple other vets in Tk, but since we found Dr Wheat, this is the only place we will go with our babies now! I just wish she could work on our horses too!! :)

Thank you all so much, for seeing my sweet poodle whom we call Lucky, because he literally has nine lives, after everything he has been through!! Yall are the best, u cared enough to see him during your lunch break and without an appointment in an emergency, I cant thank you all enough!!

Dr Wheat and her staff took such excellent care of an injured stray dog I picked up when she was hit by a car and then came down with parvo. Because of her my new dog survived this deadly virus that has such a high death rate as other vets never tested her before spending 4K on surgery and treatment. Luckily she survived and is doing great.

Will never return to this clinic again. Got my kitten spayed and declawed. Was told she didn’t need a cone to prevent chewing on the stitches, she managed to chew a stitch out and her wound was open and exposed. When I called the clinic during business hours I got no answer. After an email I sent, Dr Wheat contacted me via phone call. She did not seem interested in meeting me after hours but did so anyways. She did not seem friendly or like she cared to take time out of her evening. She restapled her stomach and gave me no additional instructions. When asked if she had any risk of infection she said “no it looks fine”. A few days later on a Saturday I noticed my kitten had not moved much that day. I looked at her surgery site and it was oozing a green discharge and look infected. I tried calling the clinic, the emergency line, the direct number I spoke to Dr. Wheat on and submitted another email. It is Sunday evening and I still have yet to hear a word from ANYONE. If you do not have the heart to care for animals by all means please don’t. I just hope my kitten makes it through the weekend. This is the worst care I have ever had. Will be going to another office first thing in the morning.

Will NEVER EVER use this place for treatment of my babies again!! I just buried my second baby who Ive taken to be checked out by them was told they were fine and they died within a few days after!!!
