I saw the previous reviews here, and I sincerely wanted to give them a chance with the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, they lack communication and will not reply to your emails. Karen, who works at the front desk will consistently hang up on you if you request for basic customer service. Do not expect to get your $600 deposit back, as they will not refund it to you regardless. And unfortunately, Stan doesnt provide the customer service that we hoped to receive there. They are quick to answer if you are about to pay dues, but they will constantly avoid you and rarely respond back to you if you need something from them. If you are a college student at the UW looking for housing, there are plenty of better options, and while I was looking forward to this place being a fit for me, they ultimately were not due to poor service.
Youre better off finding a different place to live. Not even worth one star. $600 deposit gone because they fail to communicate the policy in any paperwork yet tell you to your face its refundable up until move in after asking them to confirm it. Horrible communication. Never got back in touch with the leasing agent either. If youre a student, dont do it.
I wanted to pass on a huge Thank You to Yai. She was working hard on Saturday and still took extra time to give us exceptional service and support. She has a wonderful attitude and did a great job juggling multiple groups of people stopping by to tour. We dropped in without an appointment. In spite of how busy she was, she made us feel important. Later, we had trouble getting our application to go through. She ended up staying late on Saturday to help us get it done. Her personality and service helped reassure us that Ivy Ridge would be a great place for our sons first apartment.
Took a look at one of their units a couple weeks ago and liked it. I worked with Stan Richards, whom I knew from my previous building under the same management in N. Seattle. He was very helpful in facilitating the leasing process. Glad to say I signed a lease and will be moving in soon. The building seems well cared for and the neighborhood has a very youthful vibe.
After searching through many Apartments in the North Seattle area, Ivy Ridge stood out for its affordable prices and full range of appliances among a variety of floor plans. Staff member Stan was very proactive in helping secure the ideal unit and staff member Yai was always courteous and professional.
Worst apt I have ever rented. Too difficult to get your deposit back
Just toured a unit and filled an application with no hassle. Had a great experience with the staff, Yai is awesome and professional.
Ivy Ridge Apartments is my new Forever Home.I feel truely blessed with my new apartment.Through the whole application and approval process, Management Member Yai was very efficient, knowledgable, and helpful.I highly recommend Ivy Ridge Apartments for everyone.
Poorly organized and Adonis, the Assistant Community Manager (What a title!) is super rude and unorganized. I would never recommend anyone to rent an apartment here especially after seeing how poorly their business is run. They will come after you for money that you don’t even owe. Never will I ever rent from Ivy Ridge again.
I think Ivy Ridge should really carefully select their staffs and train them well to deal with normal logistic issues that come with apartment renting if you want to stay in the business longer. It’s disheartening that they treat their tenants, whom are mostly students, not seriously because they can get away with it since we are in need of a place to stay. We contacted Dawn to help fix bill issues but she never responded but quickly respond when it comes to us paying back a bill. Amy, I do not know if she was ever trained to work there. Our apartment was flooded during the heavy rain which damaged my properties and raised several health concerns like MOLD. Overall, this place is horrific and I will never come back even if you pay me to live here. I never write reviews but I just had for this place because I want others to not make the same mistake I did. Never again!
I love it. It gives me the best memory of my college life! its very close to the UW campus and the University Way. The manager is very nice to talk with and the neighbors are friendly. And that block is safe at night which is important to me since I used to stay at the library till very late
First time I thought about living here, Shan kept giving me compliments on my eyes and face, and I felt like reporting him, but I let it go and decided not to live here.Flash forward to a time where I had nowhere else to move, and I felt so happy there were two girls working in the office, but was upset to find Shan still worked there.I have now been living here for about four months and weve run into about 3 health code issues in the A building. I have since reported it. The staff treats us like were just an income to them, and I am paying $1200 for 276 square feet- most places treat you like royalty for that much.People like me who are desperate for housing will always live here, and they will feel absolutely disappointed just like I did when I had to move in here. It has wreaked havoc on my sense of self, my mental health, my health, and my sense safety. I come from a coop living background and this is not a community, its a nightmare.
After reading some of the reviews I am shocked! The staff there was very friendly and helpful. Shan is the person you want to talk with. Relaxed and funny and professional, he makes the whole renting process smooth and enjoyable he is going to be my go to guy from here on. I wouldnt take negative reviews seriously until seeing for yourself. I am very super happy with my experience.
Conveniently located, fast and reliable maintenance, nice apartments and attentive staff. Shawn and Amy are both amazing, they are friendly and helpful. The only negative aspect of my time at Ivy ridge is in regards to the parking. Spaces are tight and break ins are common. This is because some of the exterior doors and gates weren’t locking properly, allowing access without the gate fob. I believe these problems have been repaired so hopefully break ins will be less common for future residents.
Our son lived here for 3 years and it was a horribly managed apartment building! We paid for parking and his car was broken into 3 times...in a so called secured lot! When we received the final bill there were charges that were basically fraudulent and my husband tried numerous times to get a meeting with Dawn and she constantly blew him off. I know the location is great but don’t rent here if you are looking for a safe, responsibly run complex!
The current staff at Ivy Ridge are very professional and extremely polite. Tabitha was very understanding about my friend, whos first language isnt English, needing an english speaking companion to help with the application process. Tabitha was very patient and understanding about changing our move in date when the manager at our old apartment building gave us a hard time about moving out.The apartments are very clean, and the shared kitchens are spacious and clean. The neighborhood is a little undesirable on the university side of the street because of all the fraternities leaving garbage around, but the area directly around Ivy Ridge and to the north is really nice with quaint homes and trees etc. These are popular among undergrads and my guess is that most of the complaints/bad reviews are coming from younger tenants who dont show the same level of respect and courtesy that the Ivy Ridge staff shows them. I highly recommend this place for its affordability and professional staff.
The worst, keep looking.
This place WILL take all your money. They charged us $80 for cleaning carpets, a separate $260 fee for cleaning the apartment and $240 for painting. On top of that, its essentially like living in a frat house. DO NOT LIVE HERE.
Horrible horrible staff. Very noisy, overpriced, extremely rude managers who rip money off of college students. Never was treated this bad. Not worth the time to even think twice of living here. Please... wow
Would give 0 stars if I could. Staff is non responsive (literally had to call every day for 1.5 weeks before someone picked up), steals your deposit and charges you MORE. Do not live here.
Live here if you want your car broken in all the time, get nothing back from deposit for no reason, keep up with the frat party noise while you sleep, having to drive everywhere to get anywhere.
Ive lived here for a year. Heres what Id like to say about this place if youre thinking about living here.ConsOverpricedVery thin wallsCheap interiorYou will never get your package on timeLoud neighbors and neighborhoodNo guest parkingNo one takes care of the laundry roomProsVery close to UW and U village.Secured underground parking (some girl drove into the garage door but the management left it broken for over a month)That being said, if you are looking for a nice and quiet place, then this place is not for you. It seems like most of the people who live here are in the Greek system.
Incompetent management. They installed super cheap, thin, vinyl flooring in the apartment I moved into. And when the floor ripped up in a couple places, they sent me a bill for $1600 to pay for an entire new floor. Theyre scams, taking advantage of college students.
OK place to live but the management is not good at all. I sneezed and they charged me $500.
I wish I could give it less than one star. I have been calling the apartment complex for daayyyss leaving multiple messages & I have not heard back. Super unprofessional & rude.
I currently live in this apartment building, and I have never been treated so terribly. The customer service is awful, they refuse to fix any issues in apartments (they said they fixed our sink-still clogged), and theyre flat out rude and condescending. I have asked many times for our door to be fixed-which was broken when we moved in, its still broken. Our ceiling began to leak & they took a full day to get to it. The management/leasing office treats you as if youre garbage, and it would be a mistake to ever live here.
I love this apartment.
Decent place
