St. James Tower was my first home away from home when I moved to Seattle four years ago. I could not have made a better choice for my first apartment. The building is positioned in a walkable location in Fremont. The rooftop deck offers spectacular views of Mount Rainier and Lake Union. The sense of camaraderie among the residents and staff provided an unmatched experience for me. Adrienne, the Community Director, is quick to assist residents and resolve any issues. Edgar, the maintenance Service Manager, is extremely skilled and professional at every encounter. I recommend this community to everyone I meet. While its true that Seattle is a difficult city to meet new people, St. James was the place I made lifelong friendships and memories that I will cherish forever.

Ive been a resident of St James Tower for a number of years, and very much enjoy living in the Fremont area. I have really enjoyed my stay at St James so far! I love the location of the building, the views of the water, and the great service! Shout out to Adrienne and Edgar for being responsive and friendly. They are making great improvements to the community like the new awning and repainting everything- its looking better every day!

We literally just moved into St. James this last Friday and within the first 24 hours realized we may have made a huge mistake. When we visited St. James, we were originally shown a one bedroom loft that was recently vacated and a two bedroom also recently vacated, both fairly clean and in good shape. We decided that we’d prefer a unit with a W&D and were told that a unit could be ready for our move date. We also told St. James that if the 2 bedroom with W&D couldn’t be ready for move in, we would like the loft we viewed instead. We were told the unit with W&D was ready.Within the first couple hours of moving in, we noticed a few horrible odors. The carpet was not changed and contains many stains and has a heavy disgusting smell of pets. We also had to immediately clean the unit, picking up cat food in every room and vacuuming up several inches of hair/fur, dirt and dust from just half the apartment.There is also a spoiled milk or vomit odor in the apartment. We can’t tell if this is in the carpet as well or elsewhere because the whole unit smells.We also have a lot of mold or mildew around the bedroom window that we were told was black glue, when in fact it is mildew or mold.The caulking around the bath tub has come off, because the unit wasn’t ready at all and we are being told it’s an easy fix but we cannot shower for 24 hours.St. James mislead and lied about the conditions of the apartment we moved into so that they could fill their current vacancies at the time quickly. They’re expecting us to live in the unit as they resolve the various issues with us still in there. This unit is disgusting and extremely uncomfortable and St. James had plenty of time to notify us of the condition of the unit before moving us in. We could have also moved into the loft we requested since the unit we got clearly was far from ready. Right now we are very worried our belongings are going to take on the odors in our unit.St James is proving to be a very dishonest and unsanitary place to live! Beware!Highly suggest looking elsewhere to live unless you’re completely desperate.

I’ve lived at St James for 2 years now... the view is my favorite part of the apartment. The townhome style gives a better layout that has less of an apartment feel. And the location could not be better.

Best 4 Years of our LIVES!!Living in the heart of the center of the universe at St. James Tower has been an incredible time. Adrienne and Edgar were pivotal in our incredible time.Adrienne is our building manager and she is a caring, respectful, and kind person that works very hard for us tenants. Adrienne is also very cool because she has a chalkboard at the entrance where she leaves us funny limericks, thoughtful words, and kind messages. During any holiday, Adrienne decorates the foyer entrance for all to enjoy. She even set out a coffee station for all of us to enjoy.Edgar runs the building maintenance and is the sweetest and most genuine person. He responds to non-emergencies in less than 24 hours and can fix/replace anything quickly. We have gotten to know him so well that he is family now!!Both of them kept St. James Tower fun, clean. and safe. If we had any concerns, they were heard and responded to in the most prompt manner. Cannot say enough wonderful things about these two at St James Tower.We will miss you two dearly. Thank you both for all your hard work and dedication to St James Tower. Ive moved every year since I was 18, and this is the first time I have had a purely positive experience with building management. adrienne makes this place safe, cozy, happy, and efficient. she is so thoughtful. someone give that woman a raise!!!

I recently moved to Seattle, WA and needed a place for a short-term location while I figured out where my job would be situated. The apartment at St. James was very conveniently located to the center of Seattle with wonderful Fremont restaurants and access to both I-5 and Highway 99 nearby. Our apartment had a great view of Lake Union and the Seattle Skyline. I was a bit unsure about all of the paperwork, deposits and terms of the contract(s) - so read them carefully, but the office staff and maintenance personnel were really great. Any need that we asked for was promptly addressed.

Lived here for 1.5 years in 2014-2016 but they have since changed management and it has gone downhill. Recommended to friends and they did a bait and switch tactic offering them a nicer apartment and then when they came back to them with a yes they switched it to a lesser apartment for the same price. Will not be recommending again.

The new apartment manager is very helpful and responsive. Really cheap, full gym with classes for residents. Great views of lake union. Cheap rent for what you get compared to newer apartments in the area.

Took a tour, not impressed
