Everyone at CityLine is great. Wonderful place to live.

This place is not worth the price that it charges. Sure it has 2 gyms, 2 party rooms and a 2 lane bowling alley. These are all extras that are added on so they could charge more. How often are you going to use the party rooms or the bowling alley really. They charge extra for a parcel tendering system that as of late is always down. They use to accept big packages in the office but not anymore. Now Amazon, FedEx and UPS just dump it in a common area where anyone can take what they want. Most apartments in the area take packages for the tenants free of charge. I am so glad that I got out of this place.

Rachel in the office is AMAZING! She’s always so polite and patient, she is such a great asset to CityLine Apartments. We love our apartment, and the rest of the staff is great too. Thanks CityLine!

The apartments are mostly fine. The community itself is another story. CityLine is a breeding ground for theft. Package deliveries are often left out unattended and for the taking. Staff often take no action (if you can even get in touch with them) and if they do anything at all it’s to say nothing more than “sorry, someone stole your package according to the security camera.” They’ve been ignoring this issue for at least 3 years and have no plans to fix it.Again, CityLine is fine until you need absolutely /anything/ from the main office. The staff is incompetent and slow to respond. Truly a tragic assembly of people.Edit: The actual maintenance folks are the only redeeming quality offered by this dumpster fire of an operation.

If I were rating CityLine on the staff, location and services it would be 5 Stars across the board. Kevin, Jim, Brandon and Rachel are all excellent and a credit to UDR. The challenge is building security. We have lived in at Cityline for 10 months and random people have used the call box reserved for FedEx & Amazon to gain access to the living areas, package room and garage. The Police have been called numerous times for vandalism, trashing the amenities, threats to staff / residents, and people have been trespassed from the property to no avail. It appears this issue with access will only be taken seriously once a major incident occurs because of someones unauthorized entry. I pay too much money to be the Nights Watch, go to work, and play Cop. It pains me but we will probably look to move to a more secure location once our lease is up.

I have reached out to the main office and corporate office with complaints regarding noisy neighbors, disability discrimination, and general unprofessional behavior. Kevin is rude and unresponsive. I was forced to get a doctors note proving adverse impact from noisy neighbors with regards to my disabilities. I have PTSD, and other conditions that I should not be forced to disclose to have a noise complaint addressed, but here we are. On top of that, they started censoring my posts to the community wall regarding their abuses of power and disability discrimination. After reaching out to several residents they confirmed that the building is not very accommodating to persons with disabilities, some of the buildings dont even have elevators and none of them have the accessible for openers. People have asked that these modifications be added, and management has not listened, ignored us, humiliated us and made this building unlivable. I absolutely hate it here. If you have a choice pick anyplace else! They charge a ton of money just to violate your rights,t you as less than and ignore you.

CityLine apartments is an absolutely beautiful community that is very well maintained. I had the pleasure of working with Aimee who provided nothing short of a great experience. She was patient and thorough with answering all of my many questions, offered plenty of time for me to explore the complex at my leisure, and highly communicative; overall Aimee provided excellent customer service. While I didnt ultimately move in to this community purely due to my commute to work, I would both recommend it and consider it in the future should I move again. Thanks Aimee!

CityLine Apartments are such a nice place to live from their amenities like roof top spaces and bowling to the beautiful, spacious apartments. But, the best thing ever about living at CityLine is the staff. I’ve never lived in a place with staff that are so welcoming, friendly and willing to go above and beyond to ensure residents have the best experience possible. 11/10 would recommend!!! In fact, I did recommend four of my friends to live there too!

Moved across country for work from the southeast and needed to find a place immediately! Aimee and Rachel were such a pleasure to work with and they both were patient enough to guided us with the onboarding process. If you want to live and do life in Columbia City / Seattle. I highly recommend living at Cityline Apartments. ☺️

The building looks nice on the exterior, the landscaping is the best thing about this place, but I do not recommend living here. Management is rude and does not accommodate for disability AT ALL! I have made countless complaints, and their response was to block my posts from the online Community Wall (there was no profanity and I only critiqued managements capabilities without disparaging them personally). Kevin Seda-Kane has lied in multiple interactions I have had with him and he lied when he responded to Magnolia Crescents post regarding the denial of their MFTE application. Rachel stated that they did not take into account disability when calculating income per HUD. The resident was forced to go to City of Seattles Office of Housing to address the denial of their application and almost lost the unit. This experience is one of many, there are other residents who have reached out regarding the lack of accommodations (lack of wheelchair access in certain buildings, narrow doorways, no activation switches on doors) and never hear anything back from management. The failure to make this community welcome to everyone is astounding.Separately from all of this, the units in Cityline Phase II are so poorly made that you can hear your upstairs neighbors opening the drawers in their bathroom. The poor sound-proofing is one reason why, if you have a loud neighbor, it is unbearable to live here. Stay away! Management does not do anything to address noise complaints, and will often just ignore you and refer you to their company UDR who wont actually field your complaint. If Kevin tries to post lies on these reviews again, I am going to start posting the receipts of correspondence, etc.

CityLine has been an absolute awesome place to live. All problems are taken care of, facilities are clean, and business is managed well. The location is SO close to the light rail, makes the commute into work or to the game a breeze. Super dog friendly with a dog park in comfortable walking distance.Umieko, at the front desk, has been so lovely to work with!! She makes any day brighter and will always be there to help!

I would say it’s the cleanest, most technically advanced, well located place I’ve lived in my life. The building managers and staff are the most helpful and professional staff out of 3 different higher-end apartments I’ve lived in.The ceilings are high and appliances are great.UDR is a great company in general and this is the second UDR place I’ve lived in.Rachel, Robyn and Kevin especially are extremely helpful people in explaining any policy or costs and trying their best to accommodate any special requests like lost mail or lease termination, both of which I needed.

I’ve never been in an environment more friendly when it comes to residents and, especially, the staff. Seattle is known for “the Seattle freeze” but at City Line that doesn’t exist, thankfully. From maintenance to the front desk at the office, the complex’s offers it all, sweetly. Five stars! - Jake

Most residents don’t like it after a while because of reasons outside of UDR’s control. Many homeless people sleep and use the facilities here, security is lacking, but the building and amenities by itself is 5 stars. It’s slightly too expensive, so 4 stars (and mostly empty). It has a lot of access from unauthorized residents and is lacking security, so 2 stars.I think I’m being fair. In the pictures you can see a user uploaded photo of a homeless person sleeping in the common area.

As some reviews have factual inaccuracies I thought that I would post my experience in living here. There ARE buildings that are ADA compliant. The have elevators and ramps as well as doors that can be opened via door button only. The leases clearly state occupancy limits so I cant really speak to issues that some had with that. The apartment staff have all been helpful and friendly and so far my experience here has been very good. Ive lived in different apartments, luxury and normal, and the service is above average and the facilities are nice because theyre new. The apartment staff seem to strive at helping to build a sense of community, which is different than most places that I have lived at, in a nice way.

The property management company is horrible. They do not accommodate well for disability and illegally deny applications on the basis of income without adjusting calculations to consider disabled hourly workers. They have awful attitudes and will stop responding to you when you bring up valid complaints or critiques regarding impractical policies, and are overall just incapable of managing a property well. They Dont even give you the opportunity to view MFTE units prior to putting in an application and deposit, and are so desperate to rent units theyll pressure to sign your lease.

We have been living here for about 2 years and have mixed feelings. The location is awesome and the actual buildings/apts are gorgeous. However so much has changed since we first moved in. Amenities that were once free are now non-existent, cost a good chunk, or rules around them changed. Seems like things just werent thought through even though the management company has plenty of other properties. All signs/banners/flags are banned from windows which we knew moving in, but its one of many things that go to show how much they micro manage and want to keep the property at sterile looking, in my opinion, as possible. I do have to say, the landscaping/maintenance staff is awesome and so helpful!

I tried to apply for a rent subsidized apartment and was denied because I had 2 kids. 1 Bedroom apartment is only for singles with one kid or couples with no kids. I was moving from 1 bedroom(which my kids shared) and I sleep on the sofa-bed. Being a single mom of 2 kids is tough enough without extra hassle. CityLine is an Elitist piece of crap that is also completely Handicap INACCESSIBLE. No Elevators at all.

Great apartments! I have been living at Cityline for 8 months and theyve been 8 fantastic months. Robyn has been incredibly helpful and capable with any issue that we have come across. I would recommend cityline to anyone looking for a new home in the south seattle area, and again Robyn is second to none and an impressive problem solver!

The pros:1. Newer apartments2. Great maintenance staff (totally agree with prior reviewers)3. Exercise room and community room are nice to have4. Its pet friendly5. Convenient locationThe cons:1. Make yourself aware of the Seattle housing tenant rights/laws. The leasing office can be misleading (see parking waitlist below).2. Parking is terrible and will get worse - there are more new units than there are new parking spots. Spots are also $$$.3. The parking waitlist is a joke - new/vacated spots are saved for new leases, so nobody who already lives here will ever get a spot. Street parking will only get worse as more units fill.4. Pet friendly also means -Listening to other peoples dogs howl and bark - sometimes the owners dont care, sometimes its when theyre not home, but its daily. The outside area smells like stale urine and poop - people generally pick up after their dogs, its not usually a fresh poop smell, but there are just too many dogs peeing, and theres a lingering outdoor scent. All the outdoor space is dedicated to pet waste - there is no clean grassy area.5. Utilities are shared, divided up my corporate (youre required to pay for this service) and are expensive regardless of your personal use.Despite all this, I would probably rate Cityline 3.5 stars from my own experience. Its fine. But, there used to be more negative reviews that have been deleted talking about some of the same cons as here, so Im deducting stars on that behalf.

We wanted to love living here because of how amazing the view was... We paid extra for a package service, but I had to contact the sender of packages 30% of the time because it was just thrown in the room and stolen. We paid $300 per month for parking two cars, and my car was broken into... At first, the office didnt want to do anything about it, but after crying because of the anxiety of the possibility of it happening again, they moved us to spots in view of the camera for no charge.... until our lease was to be renewed, when they charged us full-price (not even a full year after the incident). We decided to eat the moving costs after a year because all of the extra costs that we hadnt known existed were only resulting in the theft of our personal belongings. We were paying the apartment extra to let people steal from us here.At this point, they know this is an ongoing issue here that compromises the safety of their renters, and there have been no attempts to improve security.
