Love our building! The staff is very hospitable and it’s always very clean in the common areas. Love the neighborhood as well. Having a grocery store across the street as well as all the parks and close proximity to the city is amazing
I only want to speak about the staff for a moment. Kiahna is a godsend. She is professional, compassionate, personable, capable, intelligent, flexible, and really I could go on forever. My husband and I toured 10 different appartements and the service this exceptional lady provided was leaps and bounds above what other complexes have provided in our month long search. When we walked through those doors she was ready for us ahead of schedule. Kiahna was informative and had such a positive energy. Not a beat was missed from helping us imagine and plan the arrangement of furniture in a particular unit, giving us the construction facts, and even getting us onto a parking wait list even though we had not committed to applying at that time. I absolutely love when a professional in any industry can take charge and get into the driver’s seat with you to come up with solutions to your problems together and that is exactly what she did! Then came the application. For either a website malfunction or user error(let’s get real it was probably me) when we could not submit the application, Scott (another godsend) checked in on us and gave us an alternative option. What was really just so wonderful is they created a personal experience for us during the tour and the application process that fit into my schedule and needs. I love their approach to business and client relationships. Thank you Thank you for such a fresh (and much needed) leasing experience.
There are some issues but most of the time is great its a great place to live and people are friendly staff is helpful and places Are kept clean.
I am a dog person so Im really enjoying all the dogs here. Residents are friendly and most have stories about how happy they are here. After being in the University District with the homeless people understandably angry and yelling, I enjoy the peacefulness of this neighborhood
Axle is one of the nicer apartments Ive lived in and has great common amenities and space. The apartments arent too big but very modern. They also come with a Bluetooth speaker and Alexa compatible blinders and lights giving the smart home features. Being opposite to QFC is a huge plus. Dont have to travel for the minimum groceries. But the flipside being the cost. They are very expensive and if you have a car be prepared to pay extra parking fee of 125$. There are also not lot many restaurants or coffee places around which is a bit of a downside ig you are someone whod prefer having more options close by.
Strongly not recommend!! Poor management! Poor noise control! Noise comes from everywhere (street, railway, morning QFC truck, and QFC air conditioning radiator). The roof project noise is totally unacceptable! It starts early in the morning when you are still asleep. It sounds like the building is collapsing. This is the worst apartment I have ever stayed and ruined my whole year. Can’t wait to moving out ASAP.
Ill share the details and you decide how youd feel living here. Both the good and the bad. I was first to move into unit 815 and...1. The washer was not installed to the water2. Bathroom door wouldnt close, it wasnt aligned correctly3. Ethernet jacks (all of them) were not wired, so they wouldnt work4. Toilet bowl would spray water each time you would flush (was a defective unit)The above were taken care of eventually, and required filling out multiple service requests etc. The service staff at Axle are PHENOMENAL, major major kudos to them.Moving on to the rooftop deck - the rooftop deck at Axle wasnt completed when they started moving in tenants when Axle opened. I cant and wont assume what happened when they were building Axle, but the rooftop deck wasnt finished. I lived under the rooftop deck (8th floor). In early 2020 they began initial work on the roof, and incorrectly drilled a hole which hit a water pipe and caused a leak. That leak ended up being above my kitchen ceiling, and eventually my kitchen floor.5. For 1.5 months, there was a 36x36 square cutout in the kitchen roof and someone would come in weekly, put up cellophane around the kitchen and start working up there.6. Around Summer, they started full work on the roof. The level of noise was unacceptable for tenants to live there. The acoustics dont allow it, there is no sound insulation between the rooftop and many of the units so you would wake up to wall shattering (very little exaggeration) vibration and sound as they were drilling and dispersing materials dropping them on the roof.Axle was attentive and would occasionally post updates on the project, and apologize to the tenants and thank them for their patience. The construction continued all the way through late November when my lease ended and I moved.Would I recommend Axle? Of course not. Entirely out of principle, too. I could overlook the building issues, and truly 2+ months of construction noise above my head, if Lennar (Axles parent company) and the staff extended gratitude for the tenants patience through something a bit more material than an obligatory apology post on the buildings social page. A basket with some coffee gift cards, with a note:We know this doesnt change the inconvenience of the daily construction, and know that working from home through it can be difficult. Weve reduced your rent this month by $250, and this basket of coffee and goods as a small symbol of our gratitude towards your patience. If we can do anything to help during this time, please reach out.Something like the above, would have been excellent. Less the $250 and coffee, but truly just the gesture would have made a world of a difference.Your experience at Axle will likely be just fine. But consider the above, and how Lennar/Axle shipped a product (the building) to a bunch of tenants when it was clear some aspects should have been thought out better, and handled better, and perhaps not in the interest of meeting monthly rent quota and instead for the people living there.
I lived here for a year and now, although I require different housing as my living situation has changed, I still wish I could live at Axle. It wasn’t until I went through the application process at other apartments how the staff at Axle is worlds better than other apartments. Going through the moving process now, during covid, Axle has been very communicative and helpful any time I have a question they are available. Especially compared to the responsiveness I receive from the new apartments I am looking at - Axle remains helpful from move in to move out!
Recently moved out and had to pay multiple hidden fees. Dont expect to get any of your damage deposit back - even if you keep the place in perfect condition. Thankfully the place got rid of the old manager though.
The apartments are beautiful but I wouldn’t recommend living here unless you like regularly getting your window smashed in. Doesn’t matter whether you park in the garage or on the street, our car was broken into four times since moving here. The indoor bike storage is regularly broken into. And packages are stolen from the mail room. For the price the amenities are not kept up well. A month after moving in the trash chute was broken for over six months, rooftop under construction essentially the entire year, neighbors constantly letting there animals pee all over the hallways and elevators. Work orders are slow to get processed.Overall we were disappointed by how much money we paid for the value received. I would recommend living elsewhere.
This building has been a challenge since we first moved in:- unresponsive management (every question requires multiple follow up requests to get a response, often requiring that one change the subject line of an email to Please Respond to have the thread acknowledged),- flooding due to a sprinkler system that went off 15+ units away from ours which required us to have industrial fans running 24/7 in our unit for almost a month without any compensation from management,- the roof has been under construction since we moved in almost 2 years ago making the common space 90% unusable, etc. There were a series of car break ins over a few months and poor attempts by management to have a steady security presence to counter the theft (only when the garage door completely broke and got stuck open did they have someone on site all night). On multiple occasions people who do not live in the building have followed me into the garage, which has made me feel extremely unsafe. When I contacted our security line - no one answered. I recently found out it is a text only line. Now, more recently, about half the bikes in the storage room have been stolen. We had three fully locked bikes with strong cables have their cables cut and bikes taken from the room on the same day.In general, I would not recommend this building.
I have never been so dissatisfied with an apartment complex before. Staff here is terrible at responding to emails, uninterested in helping solve any issue, or doing their job in general, they had one amazing person who you could count on but she left! Paper thin walls, I can literally hear a dog on the other side of the building barking from 5am on till 10am, hear everything that happens in the hallways from unlocking doors to just walking down the hallway. Also was totally lied to about the utilities being cheap since it’s an efficient apartment. Literally pay anywhere from 150-170 in utilities for 2 people that are never home. Can’t wait to move out of this place.
I called and toured So many other buildings before Axle. I honestly thought I wanted to be a shorter transit commute to my Union Station office. Whew! I am so glad I was wrong about that ;)I didnt have to leave a message when I called Axle. Jefferson answered my call, and within minutes, identified my perfect apartment.... which I had already left off my list in favor of three others. Jefferson listened to my list of unit numbers, but focused on my number one want of natural light, and made sure I toured my perfect unit with Connor the next day!Connor met me the next day and showed me all the units Id chosen online (so many) ... and then, showed me the unit that I had selected and forgotten, but Jefferson Knew, very last ;)Long story short, I now live in a Beautiful Apartment, which I couldnt have chosen better by myself!
The building has been fantastic to live in so far. The leasing staff helped us with every question we had and has continued to help us with everything we have needed. The homes are beautiful and well built. The quality of home is above the standard and reasonably priced as well. We have been overly satisfied with Axel and would choose them again in a heartbeat.
Worst experience in touring this apartment. Jeferson was never responsive to my email requests even after several follow-ups, the apartment I toured is just disguesting with broken appliances, walls are super thin and I could hear people talking next door, dont be fooled by the free month move-in special
Jeferson and Janet are amazing!I recently moved into this place and couldnt be any happier. The location is great, the management is knowledgeable and helpful, and the building itself is beautiful with a breathtaking view.So happy to call this place home !
I leased my Axle apartment prior to my arrival to Seattle and Jeferson was so awesome in helping me. During that time he would FaceTime me so that I could see what the apartment looked like, while also showing options that I hadnt considered to give me a choice. Once I was set on the apartment, move in day came and it was super smooth. I drove from Texas to Seattle so the last thing I wanted was a difficult move in. Upon my arrival, Jeferson greeted me, had everything I needed to sign laid out and a folder with everything I needed to know to get settled and connected. After a brief tour (in person lol) I had my keys in under 20 minutes after arrival. I never had any issues with neighbors or missing packages. On my last day, I needed help breaking down my bed and I had neighbors who I had never met before offering to help me with what I need. The ONLY reason I didnt renew is because I chose to move back to the east coast to be closer to family, but if I could bring Axle and the team with me...trust me I would! Being close to the 32 and the D line, across the street from QFC and near Magnolia, Fremont, Ballard and the city...I couldnt have asked for anything more. Definitely check them out!
Hi-tech, brand new building. Great kitchen appliances, ceiling fan in the bedroom, large windows, great common lounge. Along with DLine bus. The only thing we dont like about is parking entrance/exit that causes some inconvenience for in and out.
Enjoy living in an overpriced college dorm where you have neighbors who disrespect quiet hours on a nightly basis. Paper thin walls would be an understatement. Literally couldn’t be happier to move out.
Such an incredible building! Beautiful apartments and world class amenities. Definitely recommend to anyone in search of a new home!
Top notch, excellent leasing staff JEFERSON ORTIZ is absolutely fantastic at his craft. He made The Axle a home for us while we were on a tour. This place is worth a look, and for us, its worth living in. Bottom line, they have a lot to do and plenty of amenities.
Amazing apartment with hard floor and brand new appliances. Lots and lots of space, and incredible amenities to share with the community. The staff is professional and very friendly.
I give the 2 stars because although there is a lot of bad things about the building, the apartments are still beautiful plus in walking distance of QFC. However, I was offered 24 hour amenities (I do understand they can change the rules when ever they please) prior to moving in which essentially was the reason I loved this place so much and made it worth the price. Since my time living here, they have already put restrictions on all amenities due to residence who live below or near. Our game room now close at 10pm, including the weekends. I was then told (when I asked them about the new curfew), that they werent taking it to serious and only said that to reassure quest and get a higher move in rate. I can not believe how thinned walled this place is. I can hear every foot step through the hall way, the doors being unlocked, people talking in their rooms ext. I am paying a high price to live here so youd think theyd put sound barrier. On top of that, I was offered full control of all lights and blinds with Alexa. I chose the apartment I did for that reason, yet it only controls the hallway lights and blinds in the living room. There is so much more I could right but I was honestly afraid theyd figure it out who and treat me differnt. So I truly hope that they take this review into consideration and educate there guest instead of lying.
Great new building in Interbay with smart home features and easy access into the city. Very dog friendly and awesome for working professionals. Recommend moving in ASAP!
Love this place! Perfect location where every great neighborhood is a few minutes walk or drive away, very easy to commute to and from, and the building itself is amazing. I especially love the high-end finishes and huge windows with amazing views. But the best part of living here is having such an awesome management staff. Theyre courteous and helpful. I had to decide on a unit while out of town and not only did Jefferson help me apply and get approved within 24 hours, but Connor also helped me pick the unit via FaceTime! you honestly cant beat the attention to detail and level of customer service provided here. The icing on the cake is the price point- a place this awesome right in Belltown would easily cost you $500-800 more per month. So glad I chose to move here!
Wow! What can I say? The building is incredible and the leasing staff, Jeferson and Janet were exceptional. We immediately felt right at home from the first day. Honestly, after Jeferson gave me a tour, I knew I had found my home! So glad to be here Axle!!!Elisabeth
Nailed it !!! Modern day technology at its best, from smart phones to smart tvs to Smart Homes. The Axel Apts. Amazing place without a doubt.
I couldnt be more happier with the service and overall experience having moved into Axle. Everything is what I expected. Jeferson and Property Manager Janet are both amazing and helpful.
Management never responds to any emails - even after following up multiple times.
Luv our home and atmoshere
Great new building
