Do not move here.We have had the worst experiences while being residents at the Mark at Chatham. We moved in at the end of June and have only been met with poor communication by management and a world of contracting issues with our apartment. We are in a two bed/two bath apartment, and yet have not had a working master bathroom toilet since we moved in. The problem has even been discovered (a rock blocking the pipe in our toilet) and yet nothing has been done. We have had to use our guest bathroom only since moving in. Management has failed to clearly communicate to us when this issue will be resolved. We have also had inconsistent a/c the past few weeks, with the a/c unit only staying on about 4 hours before it completely resets and turns off. The Property Manager and leasing office in general has been poor about communicating with us about the issues we have had about our apartment and has even gone as far as ignoring emails from us completely, forcing us to visit the leasing office to finally get definitive answers. In addition, the facilities are not well maintained and there has been an issue with trash pick up. Attached are photos from our breezeway in which trash failed to be collected from our neighbors to the point that maggots appeared. In addition, the entry gate took almost two months to fix, and even then now the exit gate is broken, with no communication to residents as to when it will be fixed. This has been one of the worst experiences we have had while living in an apartment, only made worse by the callous disregard to our issues by property management.
Extremely poor management and construction.DO NOT MOVE HEREI have lived here for several months. While here, there have been several issues that management neglects, ignores, or just out right refuses to fix. The front gate has not worked properly since we moved in. They charge a higher rent in this community for this privilege, but do not provide it.The package room has been a nightmare of lost packages. If you are lucky enough for the system to work, it is impossible to find a package in the disorganized chaos that is the package room. This is another service that they charge extra for without properly maintaining it.The valet trash service is just as neglectful as the management. They refuse to pick up any dirty trash and are content with letting it rot in the hallways. This also leads to stains and moldy trash juices that sit in the breezeways of the complex and fester. Yet another service they charge extra for and neglect. These easily fixable issues that get neglected on a daily basis pale in comparison to the overall poor construction of the apartments. The AC units turn off (lose power) randomly, leak water, and collect stagnant water behind the walls that creates a smell. There are several units that have gone without AC in the summer for days. The plumbing is also very poorly done. The toilets stop flushing for hours at time due to an issue with their pump system and management refuses to find a permanent fix. Sometimes units go a day or two without a working toilet. Some units have GRAVEL in the plumbing that causes blockages and low water pressure. Despite management knowing these issues exist, they refuse to fix it.The manager of the property, Tayler, ignores emails and refuses to fix issues that she deems low priority. These low priority issues like gravel in plumbing, no AC, and long periods with no working toilet. In Summary, The Mark at Chatham was poorly built and their current management is not up to the task of fixing even the simplest of issues. They seem to only want to put a quick short term fix, if any fix at all, into place while charging a premium price. Do not move here.
Almost a month after living at The Mark, I can say that on my days off from work I can really relax, everything is so quiet and peaceful, even though we live near a busy road, there is no noise and I can sleep anywhere place. . of the day. I also love the night lighting, everything is so quiet, safe. to be able to walk around and greet the neighbors like a big family. I feel blessed living at The Mark ✨🙏🏻✨🥰
How do I even start? Lets see.....The first thing that grinds my gears is Package Center, the packages get tossed everywhere inside the room and sometimes left outside. We dont receive codes for our packages most of the time so we would have to find someone who works at the Mark to open the door for us, then we would spend up to 2 hours looking for our packages. The outside screen panel where we would type in the code (the few times we received it) is always broken. The only way in is through the main entrance, but only when its unlocked (keep in mind its supposed to be unlocked 24/7.) We have had our hello fresh come into the package center on a Sunday, but could not get in through the code(broken panel) and the staff apparently do not work on Sundays anymore and locked the doors that should be open 24/7 as promised. The package center is not organized by unit (as it really should be,) and since the new management, they have not allowed the ac on in that room (the smells from other peoples food packages...gross!) which makes it all the more frustrating looking for packages. The inner panel to use the code to get in is now broken as well.Speaking of broken things, the gates have been broken for months on end! they have not replaced the tailgater arms or the actual gates themselves, letting any car in! The water fountain in the pond has been broken for months, and the pool waterfalls for weeks! They have not maintained the fire place by the pool, nor the fire pits. The dog bags are also never refilled, so there is always dog feces on the lawn that stays for weeks.Whenever you bring up any issues or concerns, they either wave you off or say they will communicate with the hello package people later. I attempted to stay so I could confirm they made the call, but they insisted they will do it at a later time( I asked them to notify me when they called, they said they would, but never did.) Before I came up to them, they were sitting there on their phones chatting with each other-not doing any actual work that would make them do busy to do that phone call at that moment. As I left, they went back on their phones, and one called her Baby to chat. When moving in, I was promised that the club house/front office building would be open 24/7 for residents as long we had our key card. It is closed at night and on Sundays (since they stopped working on Sundays unannounced at the front desk.)We have a bug issue. We are charged each month for exterminators to come spray our building, but have not had a single person come in once to spray. Our corridor ceiling is covered in obvious spider egg sacs and wasp nests(mostly spider eggs, I hope I move out before they hatch!) When I say covered, I mean covered!Lastly, they are increasing the rent even though they are not maintaining ANYTHING they are supposed to! MOVE HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
If I could give a zero rating, I would! My daughter and I had a tour this morning to view this beautiful property. Unfortunately, we did not get the chance to tour as we walked in on a property manager cursing and yelling at a resident. This is not a place I want my daughter to live in and I do not recommend!
The Mark at Chatham is in a great location and reasonably priced, but don’t live here if you want to just move in and move on with your life. It’s always something with the office, the lease they sent you to sign isn’t right, they take forever to correct issues, they over charge you by **$1500** and can’t have someone call you back in a reasonable amount of time. This week was the first time they actually answered the phone, I’ve left several messages before and they very rarely ever call back. They don’t fix issues that let in bugs and just advise to have your apartment sprayed whenever the bugs get bad. Additionally, the promise a gated community and yet the exit gate is still hanging off its hinges, allowing anyone to drive in through there. In short, unless you want to have to follow up on every single little thing and constantly track people down, don’t live here.
The Mark has been a wonderful place to live for my girlfriend and myself over the past year. The floorplans are well-thought-out and beautiful. The complex has everything you need; a dog park, car washing area, trash compactor, BEAUTIFUL pool area, entertainment inside the clubhouse etc. and the staff are all incredibly friendly. I can only hope the next complex that I live at will be nearly as great!
The Mark at Chatham is a beautiful property! My experience with my leasing agent Kristian was nothing but pleasant. Kristian was the best part of my moving experience. She made sure that my apartment was properly cleaned to my standards and made sure my move in went smooth. Any questions comments or concerns I have had she has addressed and made sure that I was satisfied with the results. She is very professional and is the epitome of professional management. I actually didnt realize she was an agent and figured she was a property manager with the professionalism that she exudes.
We are in the process of trying to sign a lease with The Mark. You would think that they would try to be more responsive with potential new tenants but it is the complete opposite. Weve been trying to get a hold of the leasing office and have left countless messages, emails, voicemails and have not received any responses for weeks. Their customer service needs help...SERIOUSLY!!!!!!
I moved in December and since the new manager came in, I loved it! I sat in the clubhouse while she cursed at a resident. Never in my life have I witnessed such unprofessionalism. Two agents apologized for what I witnessed and that’s the only reason why I am giving two stars! The Mark is going downhill and we need a new manager now!
I have to Say that Kristian has been overly polite but most importantly she have been able to make the entire process run smoothly. I ran into a unespected situation and her and Holly smiled along the way while helping eliminate the stress involved with moving in & accommodating my request and needs. Kristian has work very hard to accommodate our needs and for that we are very happy. She showed us the unit several times and always with a big Smile and professionalism. Thank you Kristian, you are the Best!
I’m confused as to why we can’t even get packages today can’t even go to the pool it’s Saturday! And nobody was notified that, the residents wouldn’t have access to anything this is crazy!
I have enjoyed my time at the Mark at Chatham and I am proud to call this gem my home. The staff is always friendly and informative. They go above and beyond to make sure that the residents have everything that we need. I would recommend this place to any family or single tenants looking for a nice complex with a great aesthetic.
Not the first apartment complex / building I have moved into that was still under construction. COVID definitely didnt help along with some longer than expected delays however our property manager Holly-Mae has gone above and beyond during and after work hours. If it wasnt for the exceptional customer service in addressing all the issues you could expect with a new complex my review may have been a 4 star....
Love love LOVE!!! When I first moved to Savannah I knew this would be the place for me. The property Manager, Holly, was so welcoming even over the phone. She is so caring and really takes the time out make sure residents are happy.Kristian, one of the leasing agents, SO FREAKIN’ AWESOME! A breath of fresh air when you walk into the leasing office. Always greets you with a smile and a hello, even if you’re just passing through to pickup a package. She is always open to speak with you about anything and is very informed with what’s going on on the property. If you have an issue you need resolved, she handles it and with a smile. Love her.The dog park is amazing and I love that this is a True pet friendly community. There are some really great people/neighbors here and there’s always an event for the residents to participate in to show appreciation for us being apart of The Mark community. It makes the difference when you live somewhere and the property managers and staff go above and beyond to meet the needs of their residents and I believe that’s what makes The Mark at Chatham LUXURY.......and the amenities of course lol. The people make it great though. Positive Vibes make it a home environment worth living in.
After calling multiple times and getting no answer, I decided to drive over to get a tour. I was surprised when I arrived that no one was wearing masks or abiding by CDC guidelines. I am in my 60s and have had many health issues so it was not worth risking my safety. Needless to say I did not go in for a tour and wont be returning. After reading the reviews I expected much better customer service.
Such a beautiful new complex. So many fun activities set up by Kristian and Lauren in the clubhouse. Moving here was the best decision I made.
The Marks has been such a dream to work with! Directly I have been in contact with Myshelle and she has been so professional, efficient, respectful, and assuring through the entire process from touring to eventual move in date. I feel like the staff creates an environment where you feel at home and apart of a family. Having previous negative experiences with renting, I was searching for a new apartment with an air of caution, but Myshelle and the Marks staff have made me feel so comfortable and have greeted me with open arms. I would recommend this complex to everyone and anyone and look forward to staying and re-signing with them in the future!
Warning to Mothers sending your children off to college. The Mark is a very unsafe apartment complex. They promise a gated community, however my daughter has been living there for 6 months and the community is still not gated. Her windows were also installed incorrectly - and still have not been fixed - even though we have pleaded with management almost every single week to schedule repairs. Someone could actually enter her apartment through these broken windows (see pic below). While I am not one to complain or post very often, I am so upset over this that I have to warn others. This place is poorly managed, unsafe, unresponsive, un-attentive & has no intention of keeping my daughter or their community safe.
Kristian was my leasing agent. She was nothing but amazing. We were moving from Florida and she was there to answer every step of the way. Our apartment is beautiful! I am glad I decided to visit when I did! She was one of the reasons I signed here!!!Thank you!!!
Holly, Kristian and Myshelle are great and attentive . I was one of the first people to move in and even though this is new construction, my apartment was PERFECT ! I moved from Texas and was really nervous, the office staff made me feel comfortable and made sure my move in process went smoothly. I will be renewing my lease and I’m so happy I made The Mark my forever home.
The Mark is literally the description of luxury, and Im not just talkin about everything on the property. I cannot believe the amount of care I was given by Kristian. From the time that I walked in the door, I felt, not only like family, but like royalty. I had my four-year-old son with me as well and I am absolutely floored at the attentiveness and individualistic experience I had. Our first visit was brief and she had remembered both of our names. My son is not very big on remembering names either and he remembered Kristians, why, because she is an incredible person. The mark is absolutely lucky to have her as the face of the company. I had a million and one questions, as this was the first place ive ever rented, because I just sold my house. Not only was Kristian very knowledgeable about everything that I had to ask, but she also guided me in the best direction as to make this entire transition the easiest for me as possible. I am happy to know I can work with her from here on out, and I wouldnt even call her an acquaintance at this point, I would call her friend. This place is incredible and we cant wait for the temperature to warm up so we can check out the pool!
I like this is Apartments for the summer
So excited to see such a beautiful new addition to Savannah. We can not wait to move in!
Nice complex with great amenities and staff!
