Just moved here. It’s beautiful. Am loving my balcony, while my pup is very nosy with the neighbors, this community is super pet friendly. Mariner staff is very pleasant and efficient. Shoutout to Samantha and Nicole for answering all inquiries we had from the start. My wife and I appreciate the southern hospitality.
Really can’t say enough great things about the leasing staff. Rachel and Nicole have been absolutely amazing from day one. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. All of my questions and concerns were answered in a timely manner, our late move in time was accommodated, and a personal note upon move in was a welcoming touch.I see prior reviews with concerns regarding landscaping and trash disposal. Can confirm that first thing this morning grounds maintenance was out and about working diligently. Improvements are being made and my only request would be a pressure wash of the exterior stairs and garbage disposal.Thank you for a wonderful move in experience! We are so excited to call Mariner Grove home!
I have had such a positive experience at Mariner Grove. I have been here for roughly four years, but moving out of state. The community is pleasant and pet friendly. The staff is very friendly. I am terrible at remembering names but I believe it was Rachel who welcomed me and my dog whenever we came to the leasing office. The staff overall is very personable. There was only one time where I had an unpleasant experience with a single staff member, but the team addressed and corrected this member swiftly. Overall I highly recommend this apartment complex!!Add photos
Funny to see so many decent reviews on Google, but have a Facebook thread on my timeline consisting of at least 15-20 folks that have had terrible experiences here dealing with management. Based on what Im reading, they dont seem pet friendly, and watch out for those fees.
A great place to live. Very convenient location. They have great move-in specials. Plenty of available parking. Amenities are great.
Office staff is very unresponsive and difficult to deal with. You have to call, send multiple emails, and visit the office just to get a response. Office staff has lack of transparency and is not very personable. Maintenance issues are not addressed in a timely manner. Complex is not as well kept as it used to be - trash stains on the stairs wells and hallways. Trash is left out and is really gross, facility is rarely cleaned. Amenities are restricted due to COVID and are not well kept - definitely not a luxury complex. There are many more apartment options that are much newer and equivalent in price than Mariner Grove. It used to be a great complex when it first opened but it has drastically declined after
Everything has been going very well and Im very happy. I just hate the light outside of my bedroom window. I think it is a city light and Im not sure what can be done. Other than that, things are great.
The staff is friendly. It’sa really nice place. The community areas are clean at all times. One down fall is valet waste is mandatory and I don’t use the service. Maintenance employees do not answer the phone or call back in a timely manner at all. I was locked out of my house and no one helped me. I had to call a locksmith. I was very disappointment especially only living here for two weeks now.
The property is huge and absolutely gorgeous. They have huge oak trees all over the property along with a club house that is separate from the leasing office. The apartments are very well laid out and well maintained. The ladies in the office made it very easy to move in and are always there to answer any questions I have. They even have a STARBUCKS coffee machine in the office!!!!!
Enjoyed living here my first year, but recently they had a management change and a lot started go downhill. Management team is unreliable and I was told constantly different things during my move out. Staff seems very inexperienced and unprofessional. Maintenance service request were never followed up, gates always left open, constant fire alarm issues for months, mold and water leak issues, and dog park was poorly kept. For what you pay to live here, you hope to see the return worth it. Beautiful property and great location, but would not recommend.
Management is trash. There is ZERO customer service here. Weve lived here for 3yrs, paid them probably close to $65,000 in rent and never once called and asked for anything. The one time we get actually need them because we accidentally got locked out of our apartment and they say, Sorry, we dont do lock outs. Call a lock smith. This literally could have taken an ounce of compassion, a sliver of customer service and five minutes of inconvenience on their part. I guess that was too much to ask.Pretty much tells you all you need to know about Marinara Grove. Go live somewhere that actually values you as a resident and not a pay check.
Love the staff & facilities. Experience has been great so far. They are constantly holding resident events and the maintenance is quick with work orders.
Shout out to the amazing staff at Mariner Grove! I was in a bind and the ladies in the office helped me lease an apartment immediately, the maintenance team checked the apartment, and I had keys to my new home within two hours. Could not be happier with the to quality service and my new beautiful home!
I hate negatively reviewing a complex for one negative encounter but I can’t stop thinking about it. I arrived last Saturday and asked if I could take a tour of a unit. At the same time a resident was in the clubhouse trying to print. The printer was out of paper and the girl was rolling her eyes at him and actually said “oh my god” under her breath several times. The resident was not being unreasonable and was simply asking for paper for the printer. He actually started telling me how much he loves living here when she walked away. He told me how he feels safe there, etc. I could not believe the way she was treating him and acting like he was such an inconvenience to her. It was mind blowing. She offered to show me the model and after apartment living I know better than to view a model. I asked to see an empty unit. She said they didn’t have any- which I found strange after she told me they were ready for move in. I started folding the paperwork she had handed me and said I wasn’t interested if she wouldn’t show me a vacant unit. Suddenly she had a vacant unit she “forgot” about. The apartment was nice but there is no way I am willing to deal with the lady at the front. I will look elsewhere. She needs customer service training ASAP before you lose other potential renters.
I’d like to give a big shout out to Jullian and Rachel! They have helped to make my daughter’s move to this complex go as smoothly as possible. They have been quick to address any concerns and answer all the questions we have had during the process. They have been awesome to work with and I appreciate them so much! If this is any indication of how the next 14 months of my daughter living at this community will be, then I have peace of mind. Thanks a bunch to both of you for all you have done!
This has been the best experience renting in Savannah. Great place to live! My apartment is lovely and pretty spacious for the price I pay. Its not too far from downtown and very inexpensive to order a car. The included amenities leave nothing to want- the gym alone is great! Plus, the office staff is really nice and helpful. Im so glad my classmate recommended this place!
Randomly awoken at a friends house by some fire alarm testing, then to what sounded like a swat team demanding entrance into the apartment as I’m about to shower, I open the door only to be accosted by some woman in management asking why it took so long for me to answer the door reminding me of the fact they can enter whenever they want apparently (keep in mind this isn’t even my house) I proceeded to get in the shower only to hear them slam the door on the way out. for what these apartments cost a month you should be able to have a guest over without worrying about them being harassed by management
UPDATE:I moved into Mariner Grove 2 years ago at that time it was incredible and had an amazing office staff. They threw amazing community events and it was a great place to live. Unfortunately, as I have lived here longer and managers/office worker/ and ownership has changed over, many things have taken a turn for the worse. If anything is majorly wrong with your apartment they just ignore your maintenance request or just fail to complete it. Most of the office staff seems incapable at times when it comes to responding to messages or picking up the phone. If you ask to speak with a manager they say they will set up an appointment and then never do. It is like pulling teeth to get an appointment with even just the assistant manager. The resident portal does not give you a break down in charges so you dont know what youre actually being charged for. The grills on the property are horrendously filthy. The TVs in the community areas are usually not working. Fire alarms are still broken after almost 6 months. The apartments seem to have been built quickly and without care (ie:fixtures in apartments are put in without wall plugs, paint on floor, rough walls, plugs covers missing/broken, air condition does not flow into all rooms)Overall, this place is just a very frustrating place to live.
I lived at Mariner Grove for 3-4 months while my current apartment was being built, they are all so sweet & have great resident events. Its a little far for a drive for a SCAD student, BUT, the peace and quiet makes up for it entirely. The land is beautiful and the amenities are wonderful and actually usable!! Also.... the pool....... made me feel like I was living in a resort. For Claritys sake, I work at and live in another apartment building in the area, but when we arent what the prospect is looking for I always send them over to Mariner Grove!
I rented here for almost a year and I loved living here! Everything was very nice and beautifully kept. The amenities were really nice and it was always fun at the pool! I had a problem with my air and matience fixed it really fast and they are all so nice! I loved living so glad to downtown without BEING downtown. I worked at a bar so it was nice to get away from the noise. Front staff was always helpful and nice when I asked questions about rent and payments. Thanks Mariner Grove for being awesome, I’ll always recommend the apartments to people :)
I love this place the customer service is exceptional and the staff makes you feel like family from the very first meeting. The entire complex is well kept and the apartment are spacious and conducive for a family
There are many cockroaches in this building. Especially in summer, cockroaches and dead cockroaches are all over the apartment by the hallway and stairs. And it comes out in winter. It also comes out in spring and fall. It actually comes out every season. Even if you keep your house clean, it will come out. The size of the small and big one comes out often.
It’s been a great experience so far, love the staff and the amenities are a nice plus. I gave it 4 out of 5 because they just need to do a little TLC to the dog park. Other than that it’s great!
Beautiful apartments, super friendly office staff. Felt very welcomed from the moment I walked in. Would recommend!!!
Lived here for 2 years now in which I have referred a lot of friends and colleagues. It used to be well looked after and maintained with friendly and helpful staff. Over the last year this place seems to have gone down hill, been neglected and I found some of the staff to be rude and unhelpful at times (this doesn’t apply to all).I wanted to renew my lease at Mariner Grove despite these issues but after being told that I wouldn’t receive the special offer discount on my first month rent for just being a couple of days late (I was out of the country) then it drove my decision to leave. It’s a shame as this place used to be a great place to live with the amenities but clearly they aren’t interested in maintaining residents.
I have lived here for almost a year, and I have loved being a resident. When the time came to decide whether or not to stay, I spent over an hour speaking with Jullian in the leasing office. He really helped lay everything out for me and helped me figure out what was best for me. I did not feel pressured at all. He was genuine and kind, and very, very patient. I really appreciate all of the leasing agents in the office! They do a wonderful job making Mariner Grove an excellent place to live.
Great and friendly staff! Would highly recommend these apartments
Terrible!!! Stupid fire alarm rings 5times in 2months! It always rings before dawn! And the condition always continue 1hour. It totally influence our life and mental, even my friends who live in Ellis can hear that noise. Terrible experience.
The complex and the location itself is great and I will say during my time living there it was a pretty good experience. However the people and the management have had excessive turnover which leads to lack of knowledge, rude customer service and slimy business practices. Theyve caused me continued issues over a year after moving out. Would not recommend!
Love my apartment at Mariner Grove! Its spacious, modern, and brand new. My boyfriend and I love being close to downtown, but also being able to enjoy the quiet oasis that is mariner grove with its courtyard and pool.
Update: Under new management. Things are definitely back to the former glory from when we moved it.Let me start by saying our apartment is lovely on the inside. We used to be pretty happy here. However in the last month things have gone from bad to worse. We rented a garage for $200 a month bringing our 2 bedroom rent to $1995 a month. We have lived here since November but recently rented a garage, within the first month our garage began leaking with heavy rain and collecting about 2 inches of water from the foundation in the back. When I reported it, the manager told me “it is not a storage unit and said I have renters insurance” My lease states that as long as the main purpose is not storage we can use it to store things!! Also I was told it probably wouldn’t be fixed. That was it!!!!!! I had to ask if another one came available would I be able to move and hesitantly she said yes WTH. Did I mention we pay $200 for a one car garage.Okay and here is the big thing....a month ago lighting knocked out the buildings fire system and although they say they have contracted a company to fix it...it’s still not fixed!!! Scary to sleep here with my daughter in a 3 story complex and no fire warning system!!! To top all this off the big heavy metal fire doors that normally stay open will not stay open because the fire system doesn’t work so at least 15-30 times a day (at all hours) those doors slam shut waking us up as they are right outside my apartment and yes there is more...my things have fallen off shelves and pictures have fallen off the wall and broken. Lovely things that I have had for a while and was sad to lose! What a nightmare!! I finally had enough and emailed the office 4 days ago...haven’t heard a word back or anything about my leaking garage that was reported 3 weeks ago!!! I hate that we are paying so much to live like this!!!
The new girls in the office are great, we are happy to see the change.
Very happy with the recent changes around the property. New management seems to really care about the property and the residents.
Neighborhood is nice but maintenance you have to follow-up and keep reminding them.
Not the best experience, very clean and nice new complex, but glad I decided to not rent with them.Originally applied but had to rescind app due to military orders change to another part of the country. They tried to hold on to $50.00 of a $350.00 dollar app fee, of which I eventually got them to agree to return in whole...however a month went by with no refund of my $350.00.After an awkward and rude exchange (one of the many) I had with an employee resulted yet again with no follow up, I unfortunately had to dispute the transaction with my bank to get any positive momentum.A little predatory and unnecessary if you ask me...what did you think was going to happen guys? Like I was just going to let you keep my money??To be fair, not all the employees were totally unhelpful or rude though.
I’m not the type of person to leave a review- but for Mariner grove I’ll make an exception and hopefully I can help someone to make a better housing decision than I made! The fire alarm was broken for months and I had to hear a beep from the hallway every 10 seconds.Dog park has a bunch of broken glass in the soil from an apparent explosion years ago. There are a bunch of long rusty nails in the grass so if you go jogging or play with your dog there- stay on the paved walkways or make sure your tetanus shot is up to date because I got two nails through my shoes into my heel while living there. The power would go out in building 3 nearly every weekend for some strange reason. I had to throw away my whole fridge and freezer nearly every time I returned from a weekend trip out of town. When they were building the apartment complex next door which I assume is under the same management- they were using the water from Mariner grove for weeks (which is billed to Mariner grove residents)Lastly the move out process is extremely sketchy. I’m not even going to get into that part because its too stressful to dive into again. Worst move out experience I’ve ever had.
I called twice and I tried to schedule tour online but nobody from Mariner Grove followed with me ever.If this is how they treat potential customers I can just imagine what they do to people who are already locked in their contracts.
If you want to get scammed and waste a lot of money on so called luxury amenities, then this is your place. I spent 24 years in the military and have lived in every type of environment one could likely think of. This place is by far the worse of them all, and Ive lived in a single wide trailer...just saying. Unless your parents are paying for your rent, please do yourself a favor, and find another place to live.
I really appreciate the staff especially Devyn she always is super helpful. All-in-all, satisfied with everything.
Good community in a great location. Nice staff, that does a good job taking care of the place and keeping everyone safe.
I love that the floors are not all carpet. Safe and quiet, good amenities and staff
Lived here for 2 years. One gentleman that works at the front is awesome! Larry the groundskeeper is also amazing ! However the rest of the staff likes to have an attitude with you with such things as calling you then hanging up, SWAT knocking at your door even after you have told them to come in, as well as the fact their as been ongoing fire alarm for nearly 3 months which im pretty sure has infuriated the entire complex. My guest today was yelled at by the manager after not opening my door while I was out getting breakfast. I talked to the gentleman at the front and told maintenance to come on in, which ice been telling them every time they have to do maintenance because why wouldnt I let them in... THERE MAINTENANCE. horrible staff, R I P the OG crew that worked here they were awesome! Expect this apartment complex to rapidly decrease in value far below the asking price for rent as time moved forward. GG
THE WORST. If I could give less than one star I would. The only “luxurious” thing about this apartment complex is that they have trash pick up-if that is a luxury. And if you try to take your own garbage out just know that you will not actually be able to put the trash into the compactor because all the trash is always piled up outside with flies and bugs.Upon moving in, we had so many issues. They tried to move us in an disgusting unit that hadn’t been cleaned and reeked of cat/dog urine. Animal scratches everywhere, dirty bathrooms, yellowed switch plates, splatters, etc. The carpets were NOT cleaned and it was beyond disgusting. We asked to be moved to a different unit because we were paying so much money to move into this place that we weren’t going to move our things into such a dirty place. The associate said that he cannot do anything about it and we had already signed the contract. We did not have an official walk-through so I complained to corporate but they did not fix the problem-a sweet associate by the name of Rachel actually fixed all of our problems. She was the only associate who cared enough to make us comfortable and the friendliest person that worked in the office. She got us into a different apartment and got the carpets replaced and everything cleaned. The bathroom still had scum in them and this was by far the least luxurious apartment that we’ve ever lived in and we’ve lived in few. Another big problem is that we always heard the people above us and the people and dogs below us. The walls are very thin in this apartment complex is very cheaply made.Since this complex is in a very industrial area we always heard the very loud trucks in Savannah to her buses that are right beside the place. You always hear cars you always hear traffic and we always smelled the water reclamation plant and the chemical plant next to us. Forget waking up to fresh air and a beautiful Seabreeze you will be living in what smelled like a Third World country. And if you ever have anything to go wrong with any appliances forget having maintenance come that day or even the next few days it takes at least a week for someone to actually get out there because they cannot keep their maintenance staffed. The stackable washers and dryer’s ruined our clothes. They are literally the cheapest in the worst washer and dryer units ever! I had to put ice in the washer with water in it to cool down the water temperature when I had to wash delicates because even the tap water runs warm. The stackable washers and dryer‘s ruined our clothes. They are literally the cheapest in the worst washer and dryer units ever! I had to put ice in the washer with water in it to cool down the water temperature when I had to wash delicates because even the tapwater runs warm.I cannot say enough awful things about this place and I don’t want to waste anymore of my time talking about mariner Grove Apartments.Believe me when I say-“Do NOT LIVE here! Stay away! These apartments are THE WORST and the employees and management besides Rachel do not care about your wants needs or your concerns. If you want to have a sleepless nights in a stinky apartment in the middle of an industrial park and have your wallet always empty because the prices are so expensive then live here.”This place is a joke. But not the funny ha ha kind.
Wonderful unit and I love the energy and feel of my surroundings too!
I moved from California to Savannah. I was lucky to find a place at Mariner Grove. The staff here is great; the Manager-Kalisa, The Assistant Manager- Dayja, the leasing team Rachel and Jullian. They have done a great job while I have been here. The smiles on their face. They go above and beyond any expections. They make you feel like a family, like home. They are also very professional. I would highly recommend this community to all of my friends if they are ever looking to move to Savannah. If I didn’t have to return to California, I would most definatly stay. In the future, if I return for any business, I will come back and I hope the same staff is here.
The highest compliment I could give this place is that Ive lived in worse places. Your extra services (i.e. Gym, Grills, Dog Park, trash services, gated entry), are either broken or left in unusable so often is became a joke between those I knew (there was a DOG FECES BAG FLOATING AROUND BUILDING THREE for a month, being dropped in front of peoples doors, maybe to teach people to actually pick up after their dog? because people mostly dont). The pool area is so often trafficked by people not from the apartment, Ive even seen the office staff bring their friends around for the night to swim with the dogs, and the fire watch people (YES THE BUILDING FIRE ALARMS WERE BROKEN FOR TWO MONTHS SO THEY HIRED FIREWATCH PEOPLE TO WANDER AROUND) were bringing their friends to watch games in the club house. About half of the apartments are currently not occupied,so it feels very empty at the moment. The office is a painful joke, theres been four different managers in the year I lived there, and if the problem cant be resolved by the two front desk people and a printer, youre just gonna have to live with it. I walked in there once and told the dark haired girl that water had dripped through my kitchen light fixture from the apartment above, AND I LITERALLY NEVER HEARD ANYTHING ELSE ABOUT IT FROM THEM. The payment app has never worked once, the online system doesnt update until the 2nd, and your payment breakdown isnt in the box until the 5th (and then its too late to pay). My friend who referred me had to wait 6 months for his referral payment, after they attempted to short him on it $200, twice.Ive been charged a late fee because they hadnt told me exactly how much I owed on my last month, until the day after it was due. Let that sink in for a second
Living at Mariner Grove has been absolutely wonderful. The apartments and so modern and new! I love the peace and quiet, but still being a quick uber form dt! Devyn, Kristen, Jessica, and Joey work so hard to make sure everything is perfect!
New and clean community with good amenities. The management is what really sets mariner grove apart, especially Devyn with the leasing team that always goes the extra mile to make us feel at home.
Devyn and her colleagues are great, beautiful place to call home.
The floor is paper thin, but everything else is lovely.
Great community & great staff.
I wouldnt wish anyone to live here.
