Having to deal with the details of my mother’s passing at a great distance in the midst of a pandemic where travel is too hazardous, I was surprised and the burden was greatly eased by the staff at Sound Choice. They extremely professional, while also being very compassionate and kind. Pricing and communication were clear and transparent and every detail was handled in an efficient yet caring way.

After my miscarriage, I decided to have my daughter cremated. I wasn’t sure if anyone would be able to do it being that she was so small, but after speaking with Kay she assured me that no life is too big or too small. I waited 6 days to get her back and they placed her in a sweet heart box along with a complimentary angel with her name on it. All for no charge. Kay and SoundChoice are truly the best. Very thoughtful and easy to work with. We had a simple cremation for a relative who will be interred out of state. The staff helped us with many details, some of which we would not have thought of. They even contacted and informed Social Security for us. Very cost competitive. No pressures to upgrade. All in all an excellent experience at a difficult time.

Kimberly McClure was helpful, caring and gracious to my brother and I when we met after my mother passed away. She handled everything efficiently, yet was very respectful of our loss. My mother-in-law wanted the simplest and no-frills burial available (a direct funeral). We called four funeral homes and Sound Choice was the most economical. Kay, the funeral director was excellent--professional, compassionate, accommodating and kind in all of our dealings. No hard sells, no trying to drive up prices, just a very straight forward experience. Highly recommend Sound Choice.

Up until the time that the ashes for our loved one was picked up, I would have given a higher rating. The blond young woman who dealt with us when we picked up the urn should really consider finding another job where she doesnt need to deal with people, especially grieving ones. Not a kind word, or mention of the loss. It was like picking up a parcel at the post office except the post office counter people are sympathetic and kind. Great place if you want an inexpensive cremation but dont expect any sympathy or kindness from that young woman because you wont get it. Very disappointing and sad.

The best choice.The worst experience you’ve most likely have encountered thus far is the car buying experience I’m sure, you have sales people standing over you, offering products you don’t need, warranties you don’t want, haggling with you over every penny. It’s uncomfortable and you can’t tell if you’re being taken advantage of, or if it’s really the “best they can do”Now imagine that same experience, except, you’re dealing with the loss of a loved one and instead of car shopping, you’re shopping for burial and cremation services. It’s worse.Recently, my sister and I were faced with the responsibility of planning such services for our mother. We went to the same place our family had used in the past thinking it would be easy.. We never in a million years thought someone would be driving us around on a golf cart, showing us how we can turn our mother’s remains into a bench...?... a very very expensive... bench... after hours of flipping through catalogs and and being told what we need and want by a sales person, we left feeling pressured and exhausted, actually HAGGLED over the price of a simple cremation, and once broken down, included all kinds of things! Not so simple!We are so happy we went with Sound Choice cremation and burial.This review shouldn’t be about how bad the other guys are. My father passed away the Friday before the labor day weekend. With family pouring in from all over the country, we needed to arrange a funeral very quickly, before people had to return to school and their jobs. Kay Waites was simply amazing in helping us take care of everything. Though there were times when we needed to make multiple calls to her daily, she never once seemed frustrated or impatient; she was actually very pleasant to talk to during the entire process. Sound Choice took care of everything, and did so very quickly and professionally. I could not have been more pleased with their effort during a very trying time for our family.
