I only have good things to say about my experiences here. I appreciate their extended hours making it easy for me to stop by when convenient. I’ve used them for both dry cleaning and tailoring. They provide good quality and timely dry cleaning. I also recently had an excellent experience with Robinette who made very quick turnaround alterations on a dress I needed within 24 hours for a wedding. She dropped everything she was doing to help me find a solution that I was pleased with. She was a delight to work with and I plan to use her for all my future tailoring needs.

Fantastic job. Needed suit pants altered quickly for a funeral and they exceeded even my wildest expectations. Did a wonderful job and pants fit perfectly. Not expensive either. Cant recommend them enough

I called on Tuesday asking for an alteration on 2 rompers, very simple and small but I couldn’t do it myself. I had to leave a voicemail because of the time. To my surprise they called me back in less than 10 min. The lady who does the alterations, Robinette, was super helpful! She told me to bring the pieces the next day to see what she could do because of my short short notice (I needed them in 2 days). I can’t explain how happy I am with her services. The detail she put on my clothes and the care was amazing. Both pieces were ready in 24hrs and the thank you card at the delivery shows how good their customer service is. 10000% recommended and for sure I will use the services next time I’m back in Richmond for a few more items.

I have used Puritan Cleaners many times. I appreciate the impeccable service of attending to my clothing and bedding items. My problem is there is no concrete price list. I am tired of putting items in for cleaning and I am told how much it will cost. Yet, will I put my cleaning up its a three to $5.00 difference from what was initially quoted. Why is there not a price identified at the point of service. Up charges need to be identified at the point of service. I often feel prices are quote for name brands. I need to consider a new cleaning service or simply go to wash and wear.

Trousers were not pressed with creases, even though that is in my profile. This oversight occurs all too often. it was promptly corrected, but i had to wait for that.

Had to have many table clothes cleaned that we used for a friends funeral. When I went to pick up the items I was a little taken back by the cost. But then I got a discount because my birthday is coming up! Thank you! Made the $$ not as painful.Very professional and kind. Jenni

If youre looking for dry cleaning in Richmond, look no further. Excellent customer service, day of cleaning (if you can drop it off in the morning), and high quality cleaning. I dont wear suites and button ups regularly and only dry cleaned clothes once every couple months, but never had a bad experience here.

One of my favorite dresses had what looked like a marker stain on it as well as stains under the arms. I wasn’t sure these could all be corrected, but Puritan never disappoints! Dress came out looking good as new! I don’t take my dry cleaning to anyone else!

They kept me advised on the search and called when my pants had been located. Not only were they well cleaned but there was no charge. In addition to an apology I was given a coupon for future use. Puritan cleaned and carefully handled the precious bed cover made by my No.1 granddaughter. They did a fantastic job cleaning and preserving it in a lovely bag with a zipper.

I have used Puritan Cleaners for various dry cleaning needs, but this past weekend an emergency came up and they were the only dry cleaners that were willing to respond and take on the challenge. My bridesmaid was flying in for my wedding on a Friday and my wedding was the next day. Her bridesmaid dress had been ruined by an alterations department in Missouri, they appeared have eaten a very greasy meal and then continued to touch her beautiful bridesmaid dress. The result, a giant grease stain in the middle of the bridesmaid dress. We got it to Puritan Cleaners as soon as she stepped off the plane approximately 1:30pm and they said it was not a problem and they had it ready for pick up at 10:30am on Saturday, the day of the wedding. When we got the dress back you could see nothing. They had fixed it! Thank you Puritan for saving my wedding day and my bridesmaids dress!

This is to update a prior negative review. I had complained a few months ago about my instruction to not press creases in my pants was not being adhered to, even after bringing it to managements attention many times. I want to say that since my last review, I have seen a 180 degree difference and my pants are consistently being pressed correctly. A special thanks to Montel for caring and listening!

My first time using Puritan will keep me coming back. The price for dry-cleaning two items wasnt amazing, but I brought in a jacket that needed a pocket repaired. My mom was an excellent seamstress in her day (still is, if tasked...), so I knew the fabric, tear, and repair were tricky. The seamstress said as much but took my coat, examined it, and repaired it in front of my eyes in 10 minutes. She asked for no money, its likely factored in. But THAT is service. The gent that helped me was clear, polite, and thorough. Great place.

My husbands grandfather passed away, and two nights before his funeral my husband found and laid out a sport coat he had been given by his grandfather that he decided he wanted to wear. It desperately needed to be cleaned but obviously it would need to be done the day before the funeral. I called and visited at least 10 places in town that next morning with zero luck. Then I called Puritan cleaners, told them my story and they directed me toward this location which is one of the facilities that actually cleans the clothes and not a “convenience location” like some of the others. They squeezed in the jacket and had it done in about 5 hours. My husband was so so grateful for this and I was really happy that they helped me get it done for them. I don’t think I’ll ever use anyone else.Side note but they also do a big coat drive every year that is really great.

I went to this location in order to have my clothing cleaned, but I was ridiculed, belittled and discriminated against by the store manager because of the color of my skin. This is unacceptable.

Friendly staff, fast dry cleaning service. Unfortunately, I realized after I went home that a button was ripped off of my jacket! Disappointed that they failed to mention this to me when I went to go pick up my items and now have to pay to get this fixed somewhere. I went out of my way to travel to this location after many recommendations and am disappointed.

We needed a outfit cleaned for my aunties funeral. We got it to them at 4p on Tuesday and needed it back by 11am on Wednesday. Not only did they have it done by the requested time but they help lighten our mood with joyful conversation. The icing on the cake was them not charging us for the cleaning. Thank you Puritans 😊

My dog punctured a hole in a custom made seat cover with her nails. I took it to Puritans alterations and they patched it seamlessly. Theres no trace of the damage.. They also dry cleaned them and they look brand new. Im so lucky this five star establishment is only a couple of blocks away from my house.

Assuredly the most expensive dry cleaners I have ever used. Rarely do you see a discount coupon. Yet, so far I’ve lost 1 shirt, had a comforter disintegrate, had grease stains on shirt collars twice and lost sleeve buttons on 4 shirts. They fixed these each time as any good business should. If only they could help loyal customers with more offers and coupons on a regular basis.

They fixed the zipper of the jacket immediately and also dry cleaned it. It has a brand new appearance now.I almost thought I would have to let go of the nice jacket since I wasn’t able to find a person to fix it. Thank you for the timely and professional work you did.

I began utilizing Puritan Cleaners about six months ago. Prior to that, I had been searching for a new company to do my dry cleaning. They had received great reviews, so I decided to give them a try.I have been very pleased and impressed with the services provided to me by the Staples Mill Road location. This is their ‘home’ location, and they offer 7-days/week business hours. All locations offer alterations services; however, the Staples Mill Road location has a private fitting area, which allows the tailor to measure garments accurately and discretely. (One small word of caution about the fitting room: it is literally a raised area, which may prove a bit challenging, if one has mobility or disability issues. However, no worries; they have an adjacent restroom, which I’m sure, could double as a fitting room, if needed.)The prices for alterations are reasonable, as are the prices for cleaning. All services are rendered in a timely manner, and Customer Service for both areas is phenomenal.In addition to the other amenities, Puritan Cleaners offers home pick-up and delivery, although I have not utilized this service.In my opinion, Puritan Cleaners Staples Mill location is quite simply, “the best”.

I went to the store because I had a slight problem with my previous alteration. The young attractive lady who works in alterations, addressed my problem with professionalism and kindness. She apologized and fixed the problem on the spot. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Definitely a valuable employee. I go there for all my alterations.

Ive enjoyed the Puritan cleaners on Staples Mill. They have great hours that allow me to go before or after work or during the weekend. They keep the facility very clean and the personnel are always friendly. They are quick to dry clean the clothes and provide me with nice reminders via text and email when the clothes are ready for pickup.

Not the cheapest in town but I have NEVER had an issue with an item that was cleaned/laundered here. Always top notch in my opinion.

My suede dress coat was cleaned very well and it looked new again! I also like the fact that it was cleaned one day and I picked it up the following day!

I can’t thank Puritan Cleaners enough for the outstanding work they did cleaning my daughter’s wedding dress. I knew they were excellent cleaners from when they cleaned my oldest daughter’s dress in 2016. What they did for my middle daughter’s dress however was a miracle! Her dress was run over by a golf cart, guests spilled food on the back of her dress, there were make-up stains, a mysterious purple mark, etc. I was not very hopeful it could be saved. Well, the dress looks brand new and I have the photos to prove it!

Service is awesome prices outrageous. Paid $238 to have 11 items cleaned I could have saved around $200 at another cleaners. I will likely not return.

I took my pants in to get them cleaned and tailored (staples mills location). I have done this many of times without any problems. During the process, my pants were lost. Mgmt called me to personally let me know that they will take care of the issue. The pants were received two after the original date of completion. This staff is very courteous and professional. I will continue to conduct business with them with full confidence.

This is my favorite dry cleaner.Most of cleaners are owned by Asian owner, sometimes, I have communication barrier. They have various race in the shop and they the best. This cleaners is great. Ever loose a button from a shirt? They’ll replace it while you wait and give it back with a smile (and no charge). Got a beef about any cleaning you’ve gotten back. This company will make it right. They’ll tell you when they can do something or when they can’t before they spend any more of your time. Their work is superb. I would be here all day if I wrote all the superlatives I’m thinking right now. Trust and believe they are the best in this area. 😎

Excellent quality work, great customer service, great prices. I had them repair 2 pair of jeans and one pair had a minor need of a small adjustment after I picked them up. The other pair of jeans is absolutely perfect and done better than I expected. I alerted Puritan to the needed adjustment and within 15 minutes the assistant manager called me to get the issue resolved. This is how customer service works folks. Take note. Successful businesses are built on happy customers. Puritan is the embodiment of that principle.

Puritan did a terrific job on a stain on a new, very nice (i.e., expensive) shirt that I unwittingly made worse trying to clean it myself. It didnt get it out on its first try but gladly tried again where it was successful -- and there was no charge for the extra try, and the first try didnt cost much anyway. It seems to have the best methods/techniques to clean even the worst disfigurements caused by the most harmful elements. Puritan staff is very professional and personable, and always is happy to go the extra mile. It also offers great specials.
