I recommend National Cremation and Burial Society to my friends as the people made me feel comfortable and they really do care. We went to a seminar a few years ago and hand no idea how great they are. Thank you for being there even after burial.

I was traveling at the time of my mothers death. There was a huge problem about submitting my ID as next of kin. The funeral director was almost threatening about having to send in my ID as soon as possible. Unfortunately, your Corporate Office has not institutited a secure platform for individuals to upload their personal and private documents. The funeral director offered a self addressed stamped envelope, instead of a secure way to upload my drivers license. My FL BLUE insurance, and other companies I do business with, have entered the 21st century and offer the the ability to upload private documents securely, but your company has not. This is more than likely a feature that could be included in your docu-sign contract, but instead you prefer a less expensive alternative, and are doing business as if we are stiill in the 1990s! I do NOT recommend National Cremation Society; find a modern company instead!

Two excellent and efficient experiences with NC&BS when my parents died. Karen and the other professionals with whom we interacted with were compassionate and responsive. We signed up for their services when we picked up my Dad’s ashes. Card-carrying NC&BS members who can have peace of mind regardless of where we live or travel. Highly recommend the Sarasota National Cremation & Burial Society.

There are times when we face the inevitable and I suggest you do it before it confronts you and your family. Making prearrangements for your final resting place is very important.I chose to pre-pay the cremation services of National Cremation and Burial Society for a number of reasons:1) those are the wishes I want carried out after I am gone,2) it is all prepaid and,3) it lifts the burden off your family during such a stressful time.4) it is compassionate on many levels.

I went to the National Cremation Society when my wife died, because we had both agreed that we wanted the most basic of cremations. Karen was great. Not once did she try and upgrade the most basic things I chose. I appreciated her straight no-nonsense help. She arranged everything and kept me in touch with the progress. When I finished making arrangements for my wife I went ahead and made the same arrangements for myself. The price was pretty much the same, even though I hope it will be many years away. When the time comes my daughter will only have to call the number on the card they gave her and they will take care of everything.

I highly recommend this company. When my dad passed away a few years ago, I wasn’t sure what to do so I reached out to Patrick in the Illinois branch. He was beyond amazing. He was compassionate, and walked me through all the steps. When my mom passed this past year, I made sure to contact him. Again, he was responsive, caring, and guided me through all the steps.

My experience is mild compared to most. I prepaid for a basic crematory plan for my mom as we knew she was not well and would be transitioning within the next few years. She did and I was relieved for the plan. Every visit with National Cremation was healing for me because they were always professional and stayed on my level to meet my needs. They did not ever try to over sell anything and I could feel their hearts were genuine. They also kept me in touch with every step and what to expect. I highly recommend we all preplan for our own transition and I highly recommend this organization to do it with.

I was extremely glad we had arranged for the National Cremation Society to help us when my husband died. They arranged a meeting the day after he passed and were very efficient and also very compassionate and understanding of what I was going through. They expedited the documents we needed and very meticulous about handling the paperwork involved.

Many years ago as the guardian for my brother, one of the court appointed task was to make the final arrangements for my brother. This was initially done in 2003 through the National Cremation and Burial Society of Florida.Fast forward 15 years later we had to follow through on these arrangements. We had to contact the funeral home on a Sunday. We got the most wonderful director name Barbara that followed and directed us through the full process. The remainder of the family is from South Carolina and had to travel to Florida to make the rest of the arrangements.Barbara went over and above to help us in everyway to get the service planned and arranged. We held the service at the Bee Ridge facility and everyone was spot on. David was most kind to arrange a large number of art renderings and memory boards for us. Michael (location manager) stuck right with us when I locked keys in the rental vehicle, all the way making sure we were being taken care of by AAA.The facility is clean, calming and well cared for. My entire family and dear friends of my brother are most grateful for the services provided.Thank you, Barbara, Michael, and David for all that you did for us.

My experience with National Cremation Society far exceeded my expectations! I dealt with Ms. Barbara Kallevig, Director, Bee Ridge location here in Sarasota. I didnt know what to expect, and I was in a rather confused state after the sudden death of my husband. Ms. K. made the whole process simple and comforting. Her manner was very caring, and she guided me through the whole process in a friendly and efficient manner. I was amazed at the excellence of her service. I plan to arrange my own cremation with Ms, K. shortly. Thank you very much for such professionalism and excellence, and such caring and warmth.

My Mother Passed On, on June 22, 2013. She had a prepaid contract with The National Cremation Society, at 2990 Bee Ridge Rd., Sarasota. They were very helpful, took care of all the details as promised, and delivered the ashes and 13 copies of the Death Certificates in a very timely manner. Some out of state siblings were able to arrive here without any scheduling problems caused by The Cremation Society. All went well, in a difficult time. I personally made my own arrangements with them today, based on my personal experience dealing with them. I would describe their service with my Mother, as timely, helpful, and professional. PS- I checked with my sister who also dealt with them before writing this. She is in agreement.

Our loved one pasted 2/2, she had everything in a trust, all we needed was the death certificate to pay her bills and settle the estate . On 2/13 we were told the certificate was in the mail. We called on 2/21 because the certificate had not arrived, now they are saying it was sent 2/19, it is 2/22, we still have not received it. Three weeks and no Death Certificate, we were told it would take 7-10 days. We had to pay many of the bills out of our own pocket, had to move money out of saving to do it.I do not recommend this place.

My mother passed away in October, 2017. Barbara Kallevig assisted me in handling my mother’s cremation as I had no prior experience with the cremation process. Barbara is extremely knowledgeable regarding all aspects of the cremation process. Not only does she have a complete grasp of procedures, costs, notifications, death certificates and the handling of grief, she is always most responsive, accurate in all associated matters, sympathetic, comforting and kind. I was extremely satisfied with the care and services that Barbara and NC&BS provided. In December, 2018 my father passed away. We immediately contacted NC&BS and asked for Barbara. My father’s remains were picked up expeditiously. Barbara was amazing again and we were provided the same great services as before. Barbara was a Blessing in our time of need and I highly recommend contacting NC&BS and asking for Barbara Kallevig to take care of your loved one. Thank you Barbara, from the heart.

I give special thanks to Barbara Kallevig for going the extra mile for my friend who passed away in September. Her cremains had to be shipped to Miami to be picked up there by a niece from Merida, Mexico. Barbara was kind enough to hold the cremains and legal documents at the Cremation Society until January when they could be picked up in Miami. She was always very polite and helpful and I appreciate the work she did for the family.

Your representative Sandy Lange came to see me at my home . My husband was in the hospital at the time with a stroke after surgery. I wanted to take care of cremations for the both of us. She was very pleasant . I felt comfortable with her. Going through something like this is very unsettling. Plus I was on medication at the time.I explained that I only wanted the biodegradable boxes as we were going to be buried in the church gardens, and they just dump the ashes in a hole . She explained that they had a memory box that contained a Urn, little wood box and it was cherrywood. Very nice for mementos. I said I didnt need anything like that as no one in the family would want it. I just needed the biodegradable box. She said ok.She then had me sigh my initials on a bunch of papers. Did I read them ? NO I was not in any condition to and I trusted her. my bill for the two of us ended up at $4,454.00.When the boxes were delivered, I couldnt believe it. I called her and she said well that is what you ordered. I said no, i only wanted the biodegradable box. She suggested I give it to my children, I said they dont want it. So then she suggested that I give it to Goodwill.I called the company and talked to Catherine, I told her the whole thing and she said the same thing .... donate it to goodwill . I feel that they were not honest with me and took advantage of someone who was in a very upsetting time of their lift. Would I recommend them?NO I WOULD NOT. I would not recommend them unless you have a lawyer with you.The reason that there is one star is because the site wont post it unless you give something.

My father-in-law recently passed away and I worked with Deldon Price to coordinate the many requirements of the cremation and burial process. We had out of town relatives to consider (one had flown in from Australia) and Deldon made a special effort to expedite the various steps of a very involved process. The cremation was done in the shortest time possible, the arrangements were made with the Veterans National Cemetery, and an Honor Guard was scheduled for the service. We received the Death Certificates in a very timely manner. I highly recommend Deldon Price and the National Cremation Society.
