I drove over a hour to get to this girl and boy was it worth it. She is amazing she did exactly what I ask and I could not be happier. I will continue driving to see this girl I do not want anyone else doing my nails, she is that good. So sweet and kind she is awesome. An amazing place to get your gel nails done!!! they definitely get the job done! I am a frequent nail salon user, and have gotten my nails done at other competitors; no one else compares. The meticulous detailing and the quality of work is pristine! ive gotten my nails done more than a month ago and they are still flawless!

I get my nail done here al the time and it is wonderful! they have a huge selection of colors and scrubs. They even put flowers or polka dots on...once they even did a teddy bear!! i love this place!

Really proud of the way they allow us to place our luggage right off the plane in the shop while we completed our feet and hands. They were funny and welcoming with a reasonable price. Thanks Again Chicago Girls .

First time here and the experience was fantastic! Great servcie, wonderful soothing atmosphere, and friendly technicians.....and best of all no strong smell! Loved this place and will definitely go back.

I just walked in. Josie was very nice and gave me great manicures service. I like the hand massage and the color she helped me to choose.

I used to love coming to this place with my stepmom when I was younger. They were always super nice to me, complimenting me and offering to do little flowers on my nails. Once I got older and started going in on my own, I noticed all that courtesy was gone. No smiling, terse instructions, rushed, half-assed jobs.... Apparently these ladies assume younger customers wont tip and therefore dont deserve good customer service. I tip regardless every time I go to a salon but I will not be coming here anymore.Not sure about their manicures, but I recommend Ted Salon on 3rd ave over Instyle. I got my eyebrows waxed there and not only is it less expensive than Instyle, but they did a much nicer job and were kinder to me.

My favorite nail shop in downtown San Mateo.

You be the judge. If you walk into a nail salon ask for a mani pedi at 3:15PM everybodys busy they tell you come back in an hour. You do so. They do your nails and everyone else starts cleaning up laughng and joking in their native language. You are told come back next week and we can do the pedi for you. You have a $20 credit. You CALL on Sat. of the next week to make sure you have an appointment on Sunday. You go in they are all busy again. Your tech stops the person they are working on and take you. You go to check out and are told YOU OWE US 8.00 MORE BECAUSE YOU DID YOUR MANI AND PEDI ON DIFFERENT DAYS. Huh? I dont like to argue. There were other clients in the salon. Vanessa took $5 more from me as a favor she said, normally it is $8. I could not believe it. to add insult to injury Vanessa said she would confer with Helen the nail tech to see if she remembered because she herself did not remember telling me. I cant even believe I have to wrie this I am so hurt and disappointed after a year of going there they would demand a cheezy $8 out of me after not being able to accomodate me the week before. The rate is $55 for gel and pedi. I tip 3-5 each. because its the holiday season I tipped on the high end and planned a year end thank you. Not anymore. what a slap in the face. So you might be wondering why did you pay the extra amount. Because Vanessa became loud and repeated again and again If you do it on the same day its 55 if you do them on diffent days it is 30 gel nail and 28 pedi. LOUD! I was afraid they would call the police. At one point I just stood there and looked at her and asked her in a low town Vanessa can you lower your voice please. That took all the joy out of the spa pedicure. I am not a thief. I have a great job with great pay I will not accept business who steal and nickle and dime you just for a few bucks. I walked around with nails and toes a different color for a week only to go back and be grifted out of $5 measly bucks. This happened Sunday December 14, 2014 and because I travel had no time to call the owner Josie but I will. After speaking with her I will update the post.
