So today actually wasnt the first time I came to this nail salon, in fact, I promised I wouldnt come back to this salon a long time ago because the first time I came my nail stylist was a bit anti-social and rough with positioning my hands. This time around I wasnt able to even get my nails done. We arrived at 5:30 when our (my sister and is) appointment was and we had to wait almost an hour and they only took my sister. At the end of the day when they asked me if I wanted to get my nails done I just said no or else we would have stayed there until 8 pm (we ended up leaving at 7 pm). My sisters nails looked decent, but seemed amateur and she was cut a couple of times which was what happened during my first experience with them getting acrylics. I dont usually make reviews like these but I couldnt help but make one for this establishment since I have been to multiple places and this is the only place I may never come back to. I hope the business does well regardless of this review, but I hope they use this as constructive criticism to better their services.

We made appts. for two manicures two pedicures! Only got to my pedicure and already appt. were coming in so we never got our manicures they rush too much! Not happy! Will not go back!

Ive been coming to this salon on and off for years and I got my nails done yesterday after a very long break and Im in love with them. I got coffin shaped acrylic nails and its the best Ive gotten so far. They are so smooth and slim they look like real nails. I would recommend this salon to anyone that asks for my opinion.

I have been looking for my nail salon for a long time. I swear I have been everywhere and it seems like I couldnt find my place until I came here. The first time I went John did my pedicure and acrylic fill. The man is somewhat of a perfectionist and my nails came out nicer then they have in a long time. I went back again and he did my fill better than the first time if that is even possible. The third time I came back Annie did my fill. I was a little nervous because I was just getting used to the other guy, but she did my nails just as nice and super quick! My nails have never looked better and I am so happy to finally find a shop that works for me.

Excellent service and quality from a to z. Nice and friendly nail tech. We had a good chat during the service. Really enjoy it. Also pricing is compatible to any other nail salon in San Mateo...

This is a low profile location so its relatively easy to get an appointment (I usually call the same day) and a slight uphill walk up a block is good for my behind :) The staff here do a very thorough job and are super friendly. Space is clean and well ventilated (I dont love the smell of nail polish that can be overwhelming in some places). Mary worked on my pedicure yesterday and I was impressed by how much care she took, even doing some buffing to smooth out the nail bed... definitely more than a lot of other folks have done!

I love Valentine Nails, they always make sure my nails look amazing at a very decent price. The services is GREAT AND FAST. You dont have to worry about wasting your time. I highly recommend this place if you want your nails done at a good amount of money.

This was the worst manicure I have received. They scraped the old polish off with their fingernails, the tools were not clean, and all of my nails broke immediately after - and my nails never break.

Excellent pedicure! Helen took great care of me, and so did the other 2 ladies for the other customers.. Nice atmosphere & comfy massage chairs. Ill be returning for more in the future!

I found this place online, read good review and decided to try it. All I can say is WOW!!! Great service, they treat you like celebrity, my pedicure was amazing and my eyebrows look great now! I highly recommend this place!

Found this place on a whim. Annie is the BEST!!! Never any lifting or breaks, and that is amazing for me.

My second visit today for mani and pedi. Mary, who did my nails was extraordinary-professional, kind, very attuned to my needs, and did a great job. However, this salon has a giant TV screen smack in the middle, facing chairs and there is no escaping movies they play. Both times movies were some type of violent thriller, packed with screaming, violence and foul language. Hows that for relaxing atmosphere of your average nail salon? After i could not listen to cussing on the screen any longer, i asked the owner if anyone has anything against turning it off. 3 people said they were not watching and did not mind having it turned off, while one woman said Keep it on. Im watching. The owner kept the TV on and we all had to listen to more F*** this and F*** that at full volume. I will never come to this place again.

I went to them once before, did an ok job. Came back about 2 weeks later to get nails done again. With 3 women there and 2 of them working they couldnt fit me in for some real basic work (just paint). i asked why, she said u come back at 2. i guess they dont like doing black mens nails. I left and called to make an appointment a half hour later (for my wife) and they were free for walk-ins. Yup.

I had a wonderful time here. It was just a great experience getting my manicure done here.

Rude costumer service, worst Ive ever encountered. The girl working yelled at me for asking the price for something theyre offering when it was completely unnecessary. I felt very uncomfortable the whole time which I shouldnt have been feeling. Never ever going back, this place shouldnt even be in business.

I walk in 20 minutes after they open and ask for a full set the lady said we cant we are too busy come back later. There was one costumer in there and they were almost finished and there was another technician standing there. How are you too busy when you just opened and the salon is empty. Very disappointed
