The nail tech who did my nails was super sweet at first, but once I asked her to fix a crooked nail she got an attitude and started speaking to another lady in her language. Obviously I could not understand the conversation but it was very aggressive, and at the same time she was filing my nails very rough.My nails came out having bubbles and are all different sizes and way too thin.

My experience was a very good one. Never care to get my nails done but with a new job, presentation is everything. I absolutely love my nails and have gotten very many compliments. The man who worked on them was kind, hardworking and conversational.

Ive lived in San Antonio for 8 years and usually go to a different nail place each time I get my nails done. I wish I would have found this place sooner! The best pedicure I have gotten living here! They were super friendly! Average prices, but they make it really worth your money by doing such a good job with your nails. And they have so many colors too choose from.

1.salon license is expired.2.the owner actually did my service and all I asked was for a basic manicure,which she rushed and did in 15 minutes.3. She did not clean under nails and after I asked her to she got mad and started speaking a different language and literally poked underneath my nails for a split second and did not clean them at all.4. Every tool she used was unsanitary and looked like she had been using them for the past year without disposing or cleaning them.5.her station along was filthy,including the bowl she dipped my hands into during the service.I DO NOT recommend coming here at all.The service was horrible, atmosphere was horrible.

I had high hopes but I think comminication made it hard and by the way he she was so frustrated with me and even told me that. I’m just so unhappy with the result I’m going to go spend more money to get them done all over again. There’s a bleeding cut and others around nails, my old nail polish is still on and she didn’t cover the whole nail plus the stickers she put on is folded over. I’m just so sad

I went here for the first time only because my regular nail place is closed on Mondays. It’s $10 more here for the exact same pedicure. The tech filed my toes so short, it cut my skin so the rest of the pedicure stung. She got water splashing on my seat which made it uncomfortable with a wet seat. I like a newly open clean set of tools and didn’t see that here. The massage was minimal at best. The lotion got all over the place. I gave two stars because the staff was nice and at least the color was painted well, but I won’t be coming back.

Overall the experience wasnt too bad. The staff was friendly but that was about it. I got a mani and pedi but both my hands and feet were a little dry afterwards. The worse part was the manicure cost $30 and did not include an exfoliation or hand massage, so it was just a nail trim, buff, and polish. I even had to clean my cuticles after because there was quite a bit of polish on them.

A little of a wait but the spa pedi was so worth it and I’m glad they use packaged tools. I’m hesitant on pedis at other places cause they utilize the same tools over and over.

Today was my first time patronizing this establishment. Lets just say, IT WILL NOT BE MY LAST.The design of the salon is beautiful and modern. The salon is CLEAN. Which is a top priority for me. I got a shellac manicure and the Bay Breeze pedicure also with shellac. I am in love with my nails and my toes. My techs were very friendly, not pushy like at other establishments. They have a very good color selection. I just had to settle on a color, it was so many and I loved them all!!!I suggest anybody just visit the salon at least ONCE. Im sure youll be hooked.

I came here for the first time and I will definitely be back. Alex did my nails and pedicure and he took his time. He didn’t rush my pedicure or manicure and made sure I was satisfied. It’s hard finding good nail places but I think I’ve found my future spot. The place was clean and they took the tools used for my pedicure out of a fresh bag. All stations were sanitized when people left. A great place!

Ive gone a good amount of times and I have always gotten a different person to do my mani & pedi yet Ive never been disappointed. They are all professional as well as friendly and interactive. Ive even taken my 10yr old and gave her the same excellent treatment. Not 1 single thing to complain about.

So I ust to go here before quarantine all the time and I loved my nails so much. And then I went once they reopened and got my nails done and the older man (forgot his name) filed my nails down way to thin and also made my thumb get infected and tear my nail off. I am so disappointed because I loved and would tell everyone about this spot and now my nails are super thin and hurt. I wish I could post pictures

Needed nails for my hands to look nice for family funeral. Stopped by Excel and Tina was my nail technician. She was gentle and made excellent nails for my hands. RECOMMENDATION: I highly recommend this nail spa.

Great salon! The nail technicians that I have had pay very close attention to detail to make sure your nails are perfect and this is despite the fact that every time I have visited the salon they have been super busy. I like that they use the plastic covers for the pedicure tubs and a freshly autoclaved set of nail utensils for each customer. Customer service is great.

This review is LONG overdue but I have been going here for about 2 years now and love this place! The last place I went was over priced, pushy, and rude so when I found Excel Nails I stuck around. The staff is great and so incredibly nice. They can get pretty busy sometimes but busy because they are great and everyone loves coming here :) I highly recommend!

My friend and I came in for full set nails and a pedicure. Lady took two hours to do pedicure on my friend. My nails came out lumpy. Would never go there again. Employees are rude . Dont listen to what you want. Terrible service.

My mom & brother always go to Excel Nails. It was my first time today. I got a pedicure with Lisa. My husband has never had a pedicure done and today he had one today with Michelle. He also had a manicure and eyebrows done. Lisa & Michelle were awesome! We would go back! They were very professional and we are very satisfied. The place is clean and they are very sanitary. Lisa is the best, i had a few rough patches once my usual girl left, but once i was pampered by Lisa, i was hooked for life.I will not accept anyone else unless its her sister Rose, they are so courteous, always smiling, ask and actually listen to what the client wants, and then remembers for the next visit.waxing, deluxe pedicure awesome, she now introduced me to shellac nails, absolutely love them.Excel Nails rocks with my teenage daughter also, she has also been satisfied when she goes for that special occasion.Not to mention the patience with my two little ones.

Really disappointed with my dipped powder nails. The guy was rough and seemed to be in a hurry. He cut me twice - once with the drill and then with the file. He didnt apologize or stop or offer a tissue. I asked him 3 times to round off the shape of my nails and he kept saying hed do it but never did. He also went too far back with the powder. On some nails it is laying right in my cuticle. I only gave it an extra star bc there is one young girl there that does an excellent job. *IF* I ever go back, I will be sure I only go with her.

Last month, My friendly and I cam to this salon this salon. Everyone at the salon were welcoming to me and so perfect! And we had a great conversation the whole time. Their shop is always extremely clean. Worth every penny so well be back!

I went today and got Trish. They were all so rude! On a Monday when its slow they are talking and being loud. No one even talked to me. Trish sat down and did my nails without a word besides talking to other workers. After she didnt file them the shape I wanted and asked if she could fix one. She said dont make it harder then it is and said after she would paint them and then do it. Just so so rude! I will not be returning! I am new to SA and just want to find a good place.

I enjoyed my experience here with them. I got the deluxe pedicure + extra 10 mins leg massage. The ladies here are incredibly sweet and friendly. The place is also very clean and comfy. I would recommend for everyone including men and women.

Well they got new management. Looks a little dirty nails clippings on the floor it was hot and humid. The guy used EPA ( disinfectant spray) on my skin. Its not for skin its for equipment use only. Cut my skin on one of my toes.The lady who worked on my daughter was really nice and sweet. But when it came to paying two on my nails got messed up. And showed the lady and told the guy he just said something in Chinese or Vietnamese and went out to smoke a cigarette. I paid for a simple polish and tiped well but the fack that he just walked out after she showed him my nails he completely disregarded me. I just told them to remove all my nails. No refund which I know he did the work but fix the two nails. There were no customers he could have easily just fixed them. A simple polish change for me is testing the place out since its under new management. And he was telling me to get the works but if I did and wasnt happy would I still get treated the same way. Ill just got to the nail salon across the street

Have been a customer of Excel over 15 years. Never, ever had a nail lift, break, a fungus, nothing. Karen and Danny were previous owners but have now retired. Oh how I miss their mgmt. With new owners, all was ok, but past 3-4 months, I have had problems. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy results. Lifting, obvious fungus on TWO NAILS!!!!! Male techs are rude. Wont be going back.

I came here to get my nails done for graduation, two hours later I come out and one of my nails is so ridiculously crooked . The man who ended up painting my nails tried to fix it my filling off my natural nail and unfortunately filled my nail way to far and made it incredibly thin, so now it’s extremely painful. Not to mention I was moved 4 times from station to station. So disappointed with my nails and the service . Was not worth 55$, don’t recommend coming here.

I got a gel French manicure & a regular pedicure. My gel manicure was so perfect that I received many compliments from friends and strangers alike. They definitely gained a new loyal customer!

I planned to get my mani and pedi for my wedding here. I loved this salon. There were a lot of gel colors to me choose! Fantastic customer service! And convinced me to just get the solar that I appreciate it. The atmosphere is relaxed with nice music. Dont wait to go this spot again!

Came in for a regular powder dip manicure because I loved this place so much. They gave me a new guy because my regular nail artist was on break. During my session he literally GRINDED into my nail. I told him it really hurt. He just changed it to a softer tip but continued putting the same amount of pressure. Then during my session he cut me multiple times. After everything was done, he didn’t put on cuticle oil on my hands he put on ACIDTONE. That on top of cuts burned like hell. It’s been a few weeks now and I have dents on my nails from where he grinded. I’m not gonna be able to enjoy getting my nails done for a while because I’m gonna have to grow them out from the damage!! Never going to this place again. I would give them a zero as possible but just wanted to warn anybody that would go here.

BAD BAD BADI paid $25 for shellac nail polish only to have the polish chip and fall off completely off my fingers 4 days later. When I called to ask about them fixing it I was told I would have to pay half price because it was on for 4 days so thats almost half the time shellac should last. Terrible customer service.

He charged me $70 for a basic French ombre that he did slopily. He didnt clean the underneither so it looks all gross and theyre ALREADY cracking. Ive been getting my nails done for years and this is the first time they ever started to crack. Negative stars please. ..

Worst pedicure experience ever. The lady didnt put pressure as I asked. Wasnt what I am use to. Massage chairs were wore down and didnt work properly. Paid $45 and it was a waste. I dont ever make comments but youd be better off going somewhere else.

Ive been going here for years and yesterday when i went i told them to do a design as usual and the owner had some grl ive never seen before do the flower design, and omg it looked like my 2 yr old niece did it. It was horrible. Then when i told the owner and the owner didnt do nothing about it, all she said was nobody there could do the design.. Anybody knw of another place i can go that they do designs like at excel

Nails come off within 2 days. Jewels fall off the next day. Staff is rude. Do not come here. Save your money.

Every time I go the receptionist is always giving me excuses why I can get what Im asking for. Last time I was mid question, she answered her phone and left me waiting for 30 mintues before even starting my manicure. Then when she finally got to soaking my nails and she said I couldnt get what I had asked for but to go down the street to their 2nd establishment, For the other half of my request. I ended up just getting my cuticles tried and never coming back. Biggest waste of time ever!
