I had the greatest experience! I walked up at open, with a botched cut and color asking for help after reading her reviews. She did a quick consult and was able to get me thankfully today. She was amazing, we discussed what I wanted in depth and I got that exactly! She went above and beyond and saved me!Pricing was more than I expected but the outcome was worth it.

Went in for a haircut (layers/ a line /bangs) havent had a haircut in about 5 months loved my curls went to her because of the reviews. I showed a picture of what I kinda wanted. Red flags. She Cut my hair wet. second was that she dried and then straightened my hair to touch up cutting my hair..Told her I dont ever straighten my hair, multiple times. And that I just blowdry it to help curls. (I understand my hair is short, but I came in expecting a curl specialist.) Third was that I told her texture was okay that ive used texturizing scissors to thin out the hair when it was extremely long.. she sectioned my hair (me thinking oh layers) to cut a whole section of hair out of my head leaving a half an inch of hair in its place. In other words its like she was forcing my hair to be straight because she didnt want to cut curly hair. My final flag this nightmare cost $100. Prices were never talked about but for just a haircut I was expecting 50-60 not double. If you have curly or wavy hair I wouldnt trust her with it.

I have curly hair and I came to Raw because of this. I saw Anna’s salon, looked it up, called and set up an appointment. We consulted about what I wanted and she has been coloring and cutting my hair since. She is a professional and works to make sure her clients are happy with the results. We change things up-by my request-and try new and different haircuts and colors. I am so happy to be her client and appreciate her dedication. If you are looking for a stylist i highly recommend her.

Had an appointment with Anna today. Anna has to be one of the most unprofessional stylists in this studio.I understand pregnancy hormones, but to be so rude to clients and then blame it on being pregnant is NOT okay.My previous appointment with Anna, was decent although I wasnt a huge fan of my cut. Today I walked out and cancelled my appointment due to the fact that she was extremely rude and I felt she was so rude she would mess my cut up.I would recommend staying clear of her, for your hair.

So happy I finally came here to get my haircut! I had been waiting months due to COVID-19, and I was happy to see the salon had safety measures in place. There were only two other people in the building and we were placed far apart. I was also really happy with the haircut by Roxie. Will be back!

I was at unit 2, which is Dermalaser (not Raw Hair, must be in a different unit) went in for IPL photofacial, it went very well. My main concerns are wrinkles & redness. Jose, the nurse who performed my service, was very professional and detailed. He explained the procedure clearly and followed careful guidelines for COVID19. I scheduled for a month out for another IPL.

I went to Anna exactly 2 months ago (back in May) for a DevaCut and Pintura highlighting. The reason why I am giving this review so late is that I have shoulder-length hair and its very important to me that my hair not only looks great right after the cut but also grow out well. I can definitely say that, thanks to Anna, my hair is still looking very cute (and Im still getting compliments on it) 2 months later. As for the color, I was a color virgin and was pretty nervous Id end up with a really drastic set of highlights, but Anna made them look completely natural and beautiful, not only in color but in placement. I will 100% be returning for her services and to add some more color now that Im no longer scared about it, thanks to Anna! I definitely highly recommend her - shell take excellent care of you and your curls both. :) And her work is 100% worth the price point!

I haven’t had a haircut in about 3 years. Decided to book a DevaCut after reading all the great reviews. First red flag was the price listed on their site was X amount of money, but when I spoke with her over the phone it jumped up to an extra $100.. Still, I decided to book the appointment. She asked me to send pictures of my hair along with inspiration pictures. Apparently, she didn’t receive them until I sent them a second time which was the night before my appointment.. second red flag. Fast forward to the day of my appointment. I got my appointment time mixed up, which was my fault. So, I Apologized and asked what we could do as far as rescheduling for a cut. Third red flag, she said my hair was extremely long. I asked her if that was a problem, she said no, but my haircut would be even more due to the length. Soooo over $300 for a haircut just because my hair is long and curly? And I wouldn’t have known any of this until I physically sat down in the chair, since she “didn’t receive any pictures.” Lol passsss. Her overall demeanor on the phone wasn’t pleasant. Even when booking the appointment. But I really wanted this five star experience everyone else had. Oh well. Glad I only lost out on $30 than $300+.

She is God’s gift to curly hair. She did an amazing job fixing a bad cut and I love my new cut. She talked me through everything, really listened to what I wanted, and gave a lot of great pointers and product recommendations.

Amazing place - I was visiting San Antonio and needed to find a salon (long story). Jessica did an unbelievable job on my hair - I love the color. The atmosphere was calming and I still cannot believe the amazing color. Its perfect!

Great talent but awful management. The owner Anna is an absolute nightmare and manages to chase away customers and employees often. Buyer beware - she uses fake products and steals tips from stylists. Avoid at all costs.

This is the first or last time I’m ever getting a service done. It’s not all sunshine & rainbows as the owner Anna makes it seem. She’s very cold, and lacks a lot of emotions, especially if you’re not her client. My suggestion is she’s just faking it till she makes it. Especially her little minion Roxy, that women is even worse than her. I was using the restroom and I over heard her being ugly with one of her co workers. & It all made me feel extremely uncomfortable when this is supposed to be a place of “relaxation”.

All I have to say is Anna is a miracle worker. I brought my future daughter-in-law to see her after a horrible experience with another stylist in the Dallas area. The previous stylist over processed her hair and took chunks out of her long beautiful mane just one month before the wedding. I knew Anna was the only person to call. She is truly a master stylist so worth the price. She was able to retract what the previous stylist had done and then give my sweet future daughter-in-law the beautiful hair she was wanting for her wedding day. There is no color issue too big for Anna. Knowing the science behind the color chemicals makes a huge difference. If you are unhappy with your color go see Anna. She can fix it!

This was my first time at Raw and it was great! My long term stylist, Cynthia Germeroth moved here and I could not be happier with the service, cut, and color. Not to mention the friendly, fun atmosphere. Highly recommend Raw. And HIGHLY recommend Cynthia. :)

Ask for Maribelle. She was amazing. I got an appointment 10 minutes before arriving. I had three different people offer me tea, and water during my cut. Their products are great, and their prices are reasonable. I am a happy woman!

First impressions are important. My first impression is don’t bother scheduling an appointment, they aren’t prompt at all. It was 35 minutes after my appointment time before they saw me. The head stylist in charge of teaching the apprentices is very critical, which is great. But she is also very snobbish, which almost cancels that out. It’s a beautiful house converted into a salon, but beware of a sensory overload because it smells like every essential oil all at once. The smell paired with tracks of drums non stop was migraine inducing. My hair turned out great, and my stylist was very professional. Overall three stars.

This salon goes over and above to accomodate its customers; from the initial booking procedure to the finishing touches the degree of professionalism shown by staff, stylists, AND the owner is by far greater than that of any other Aveda salon I have been to in Houston or San Antonio. Anna, the owner, has made it a personal goal to improve the condition of my hair in the last year and I so appreciate it. The salon itself is a great space to find yourself in, and the complimentary tea and pampering rituals are just icing on the cake. I highly recommend and even if they occasionally run a tad behind, its only due to personal attention and finishing touches - well worth it!

I had THE MOST AMAZING experience here. I walked in and was immediately greeted with a hot cup of coffee. The staff offers two complimentary services of your choice so I got a scalp/ shoulder massage and a hand scrub. My haircut was GREAT. I have very long and thin hair and am always anxious to get it cut because most stylists go crazy and cut how much ever they want. Naomi did exactly what I wanted and I walked out with with most of the length that I came in with. Youd be surprised how hard that is to find! I was also treated with a goodie bag on the way out. I still cant believe I didnt find this place sooner. I am in love and highly recommend it to everyone!

Have never been serviced here but now have no plans to after a member of staff was rude to a family member of mine. She had her truck break down just outside the shop. A police officer pushed her truck in the parking lot of this shop to get her out of the street and a staff member came out asking her to move. She explained she was stranded waiting for help and had no way to move. The worker rudely asked her how long it would take her to be out of the way.. because although they werent even open yet, they would be opening soon. A little compassion would have been appreciated..

I got my eyebrows microbladed by Dariela. She was beyond awesome!In the consult, she explained the whole process from start to finish (including after care) made sure I was comfortable with every step. She matched my brow shade/shape perfectly and to my liking.For the actual appointment, she went through all the steps again. I received a complementary scalp and hand massage to relax me before microblading. She uses numbing cream to minimize any pain.The results were unbelievable, my brows look perfect and has cut my make-up routine down at least 10 minutes (I dont have to draw them in any more so they are visible lol). I feel more put together now with just my new brows and without a full face of makeup.She also gives out a pamphlet of the aftercare routine and a sample of a&d ointment to use on the brows at the end of the appointment.Please book an appointment with this amazing lady if you are looking to get your brows microbladed!

I went in for a hair consultation regarding color correction. They assigned me to Anna (my appointment was with another stylist). We talked a lot and I felt really good about our plan - I have medium-long hair and needed some bad highlights redone. After we talked, Anna went to the back to do some math and came back. She told me that color correction is $180/hour, which Id seen online. I then asked her about how long my hair would take... she wouldnt tell me. I asked her for even just a rough estimate... she refused. I asked her what the worst-case and best-case scenario times might be... she still refused. I FINALLY cornered her by asking her how long her last correction took. She gave me the runaround for a bit then finally told me it took about 4 hours. I asked her how long that womans hair was and she said it was shorter than mine. So basically, my color correction would be at least $720, but I still have no idea because its completely dependent on how long she takes at it. I also have no idea if theyll price it by the quarter- or half-hour - I was tired of her not answering my questions and didnt ask. I have never heard of pricing a service this way, or at the very least pricing it this way and not giving the customer (who youre asking to pay you almost $1,000) some sort, ANY sort of cost estimate. Ridiculous, unprofessional, and inconsiderate.

I started coming here in March after my first consultation for color. Their consultation was something I had not expected and far above my expectations. Rox did not rush through her time with me and gave me excellent professional service. The salon is exceptional and as far as their products, well if you are a prod-aholic, they offer great promotions. It was hard for me to pass up at least one. Rox made my day and I have finally found my person.

Cant rave enough about this salon! Talent paired with Aveda products and the willingness to go the extra mile to make every visit special is whaf makes this place special. I went from long to short and dark to highlights and couldnt be happier with the results!

Hillside is awesome

My beautiful, thick head of curls were destroyed. To start, my hair was lower back length, the stylist (Katherine) shredded parts of my hair (thinned it) down to 1 inch! Now I have parts of my hair sticking straight up! She also sliced my hair at an angle with scissors which now caused huge amount of frizz. It will take me YEARS to get it back to normal! Do not trust the curly hair specialists.

My story is too long. Believe it or not this is the short version. I had to reassure the person that was supposed to cut my hair that it was okay to cut it, CUT IT. This is very annoying for a patron. She was very nice, but why am I having to coddle this person?! Several times, several times I said yes Im sure. Hair grows back. Im blind w/o my glasses. I wasnt wearing contacts. I told her Im a wash n go gal who rarely used products. She said, but you do use products? 🙄 RARELY, maybe twice a year. I ended up w/ an over STYLED head of hair with an abundance of hair products. My head felt heavy later in the day from all the disgusting gunk in my hair. I did not receive a genuine hairCUT. She swept before I could reach for my glasses so I didnt see how little she snipped off of my head.🤔 Sneaky.I just wanted to treat myself for my birthday. Disaster. And this was after an attempt to rectify my 1st unpleasant visit. By the way the gal that was unpleasant at the 1st visit was stalking me & the person servicing me. Everywhere we went, there she was. Eavesdropping? Learning how to interact w/ ppl? Very creepy. I did not appreciate being used to teach her via my interactions with the pro. And they all knew I wanted her nowhere near me. I think having her shadow us upsets me more than anything else. Its taunting & insulting.Even after this bad guidance I will say two of the owners & the manager (but even she made a mistake re: the extra feature I wanted to buy) are very nice. But I didnt want to go a 3rd time. I became fed up & bored with Raw. I ended up cutting & coloring my own hair & I love it. I even get compliments on my hair.

Loved the look and feel of the place just walking in. I let the lady do as she pleased with my hair and she didnt let me down. Wish I could remember her name.

I had been coming to raw hair studio for the last couple of years and had a few appointments within that time frame. The first 3 visits were amazing and I had the best experiences, thats why I had kept coming back. The following about a year ago had a bit of an unfortunate incident that the stylist who was obviously new kinda messed up my haircut and wasnt really sure what she was doing. I was understanding and another stylist ended up guiding her on how to cut my hair and then basically took over. I didnt like feeling like I was a guinea pig or at a salon school, but I was given a discount for the mishap and didnt go back until last week. I called to set up an appointment for a hair color consultation after seeing on their fb page that it was a free consultation. Was a bit shocked when they asked for my credit card with it being free so I had to call back since I didnt have it on me. When I called back I asked to make sure it was the one advertised and she said yes, that the $30 would be refunded from the price of the coloring when I pay. Ok fine, btw I find it very odd that now I have to pay in advance for a service I have yet to receive, they didnt do that before. So at my consultation I told the stylist what I was wanting and showed her pictures of the color and length that I wanted. She asked me questions for their survey and said shed come back with some quotes. When she came back she had brought a few products with her which she began telling me about and suggesting I buy them, mind you I havent even heard the quotes yet. She pulls out the card and gives me the price rundown with ONE price quote, not multiples despite there being boxes for several options, just one and it was way over what I was expecting the cost to be. My hair is not long, it wasnt even below my shoulder and the undercut area was even shorter as the main length was just a small section of the top of my head. I was taken aback and just listened to her explain that she included 2 color sessions which she hadnt mentioned before leaving. I just was not happy with how that appointment went at all, I dont like feeling pressured to buy products especially before I hear how much my hair color is going to cost, with had I had gotten all the products offered would have been over $500, no Im not expecting $60 color job, but $200 yes. I went to another salon and Im glad I did, it came out perfect and exactly how I wanted it done and didnt break the bank. Sadly I wont be coming back and Im out my $30 that was supposed to be free.

I have had both my BEST and WORST salon experiences here. The first time, I recieved the most amazing asymmetrical cut and panneling color of my life (and the head massage and mimosas!). The stylist for the second visit was different since the first was no longer there. I said I wanted my hair dyed blonde and longer in the front. She gave me blonde highlights and a uniform cut! To top it off they accidentally charged me double even when I said that total does not sound right multiple times. They talked down to me and only fixed it when my husband saw the huge charge on the card and called and yelled at them!!! It was my birthday and I left feeling taken advantage of and unhappy which is why I will NEVER visit them again.

I don’t have anything good to say, so I’ll leave it at that.

I love Raw Hair Studio! Anna, the salon owner, is the Queen of the Blondes, and I remind her of her title every time I get fresh color. Coming into the salon, I was blonde, but I didnt realize how flat it was until she brightened me up the way blonde should be. Suddenly I liked my pictures again! I didnt know what was wrong for a while -- I hated every picture I took. I just blended in to my hair. The blonde pop fixed it! In addition to color expertise, the quaint studio has that awesome Aveda tea, and they offer cool extras like hand and scalp massages. The best.
