I have been with UAG for 7 months and it is a great company to work for. I have been treated better than most other employers I have experienced. I feel fortunate to have a great Regional Manager Heather Battle and a amazing Property Manager Michelle Alexander. Thank you UAG for being a great company that hires exceptional people.

I found out that this company bought the apartment complex named South Hampton in Birmingham,Al about 2 yrs ago! Since then they have not been keeping the grass cut, a maintenance person to fix repairs, and a manager in the office who will respond to your calls! This company is basically some slum landlords! These are government assistance Apts and I fill like if the government is paying something on our rent or giving us assistance on our rent! Why do we have to find our own yard man! It doesn’t make any sense! I’ve tried calling this company no response about the matter! They have made living in these apartments a nightmare! These apartments was beautiful inside and out ! Now they look condemned due to them not wanting to keep them up! I’m soo ready to move!

They manage an apartment complex named Emerald Park Apartments and we have done some social media videos on the internet Tik Tok and Twitter....We have had 2 issues going on and 1 being routine and the other being effects safety and hazard of dwelling. July in Texas Heat says it all. Air conditioner has had ongoing issues and maintenance and management have attempted however have failed to adequately fix the air conditioner. The apartment is continuously between 82-85 degrees. Now, because they are unable to fix, Calls have been made to the 24 hour maintenance call line with no response. We have tried to tell them its the blower motor on the inside unit and they have yet to investigate that as a possibility. They have brought over filters, change free on and ordered vents (Still have not been installed, just ordered. ) None of this has fixed the problem and our air conditioner still isnt working adequately. The air conditioner in this texas heat should be urgent matter and fixed promptly, not 2 months into summer. Before the owner of the complex comes on and says to reach out to management, save your scripted response. We have a call log of multiple calls (During businesshours, No One has answered 1 call), we have an email trail where it has taken days for anyone to respond and now the emergency maintenance line is non responsive. THIS is our biggest issue and needs to be fixed immediately. The next issue is our dishwasher went out, order put in 06/24 and had to ask 2 days ago, we inquired about it and July 22rd, the manager Carrie said it arrived and would be installed that night. (Sidenote: someone was home all day this day) Today, July 25th and still no dishwasher. So in conclusion, 1 major issue that effects the safety and 1 routine matter both handled poorly and with a lack of communication and responsibility. We have reported this to Ken Paxtons office, Attorney General.

I live in Midland TX, which is a unique leasing market. When the oil field crashed, UAG took no initiative to get people in the door. Occupancy was low and UAG blames onsite staff for their incomitance. When other communities were renting an 800sqft apartment for $800, UAG was renting the same space for $1000. This particular community had no washer/dryer connections, it was hardly updated, it had very few to no amenities, and the location had a bad rep prior (drugs, bad people, poor living conditions, bad community overall -- that all of the old midlands remembered from the past very well - there was a stigma) Employee Moral was love. The Regional was disorganized and awful overall. We would wait 72+ hours for a response to an email regarding an app - and often times people would just ask for their money back to lease elsewhere - because it was over 48 hours and they had that right. It felt like a CON to convince people to lease at those rates when you could easily get better rates in way better communities that offered so much more. There was also a sketchy property sale - It failed.. Im still not convinced thats what was going on... i mean, it wasnt even a true due diligence. The date was constantly changing for closing.. it would be set, that date would go by and we would get NO COMMUNICATION from our regional regarding this. I mean, after I left UAG I was offered a $5 raise from what UAG was paying and a far better commission program. Im on my way to my THIRD TOP LEASOR award in the company for 3 out of the 6 quarters that Ive worked here. As a company you took someone like me, who KNOWS their value to a company, and made me out to preform like the worst employee you could have. If UAG would have been more proactive in the market, they could have done so much more, and wouldnt have been in such a rough occupancy rate. This was before COVID - soon after, covid hit, Im sure things only got worse. I cant even imagine.

Adding on 11/30/17 - There has been an increase of crimes, stolen vehicles, vehicles getting broken into, vehicles being vandalized, apartments being broke into. The worst apartment I’ve ever been at for crime. The management has done nothing to improve this. Along with all of the other issues, the niceness of the apartments is NOT worth all of the hassle. Don’t move here. The apartment itself is beautiful. However have had some issues when moving in. My air conditioner and hot water was not working the weekend I moved in, no emergency maintenance number was listed on site (it was 80-90 degrees that weekend). So had to wait until the following Monday to be fixed. The next day there was a water leak. Then was promised a covered parking spot. Parking spots 45-50 are directly in front of my apt but was told that spot 86 would be mine. #1 thats not even close to my apartment. Theres no way I could carry my groceries that far from my car to my apt. #2 there has consistently been someone parked in that space every night so I have to park in the uncovered parking 2 buildings down from mine. Most cars do not have stickers to verify their spot so my guess is random people are parking in covered spots that arent even theirs. Super inconvenient. No fault of the staffs as they are new, but would like to see some resolution and organization.

We moved into their new property, Central Park at a Craig Ranch, in McKinney when half of the property was still being built. So far the experience has been great. A couple issues with gate codes and errors, the usual fire alarm testing of a new building etc, but for the most part have been great! We love our new apartment and plan to stay here for as long as we can. Looking forward to using the new pool this summer. Can’t say enough good things about the staff in the office. Tara and Madison have been awesome since day one and are always so friendly. They even remembered our dogs name and ask how she’s doing! The only downside of the apartment is the size of the parking garage. The complex is entirely done now and I’d say the community is about half full and it’s hard to fit 2 cars going opposite directions in and out and with more cars in tight parking spaces it’s made even more difficult.I also hope that they plan to put some sort of finish on the concrete floors within the breezeways of the apartments just to clean up and feel less like we are living under construction.

**MOLD, MOLD, MOLD, MOLD**The very first day of my lease when I was handed the key and finally allowed to go in to inspect my new apartment I had found that renovations were not completed & I found an old leak under the sink that was causing the boards to rot & noticed mold growing around the area. I immediately contacted the office and had maintenance and front office staff come down to my apartment to inspect the damage. Once they removed the board we found a severe mold problem growing underneath. At that time I informed them that I have an allergy to mold and suffered from asthma so the apartment would not be a healthy living situation for me & I would need to cancel my lease. The front office and maintenance staff assured me again that they would resolve the issue by putting a fan in my kitchen to dry out the inside of the sink and would then spray a coating of KILZ to make sure the mold did not come back, I was uneasy about the resolution they proposed as I knew mold thrived in porous areas and it had been growing on the drywall and cabinets but again they assured me the cabinets would not need to be replaced and that this would solve it so I trusted the apartment to have my health and best interest in mind. Within 2 weeks of it being repaired the mold was back.Again I stated I wanted to end my lease as the resolutions they were coming up with were ineffective in stopping the mold growth. After the maintenance crew came by and fixed the mold I inspected everything to make sure it was not growing back to which I found it was and there were portions that went untreated. Again I brought this up to the office to where they convinced me to let them resolve the issues.I noticed my bathtub faucet was coming apart from the caulking significantly and that I was finding water puddling up behind the toilet and even in the closet somehow. I then noticed as it was heavily raining at this time that water was coming in through the window seals on every window and mold was growing because of it. I had also noticed mold growing on the outside of the cabinets in the bathroom. I immediately called the front office and advised them of everything I found. This time nothing was doneabout the mold in the bathroom, but they advised they would be replacing the windows and just put a thick amount of caulking around the bathtub faucet. At this time I started staying less and less at myapartment and sleeping at my fiancés home more often than not as he was starting to get extremely concerned for my health. But I still made multiple attempts through out the next few months to havemy mold resolved and ultimately to be released from my lease. I continued to pay, but each time I would go in coincidentally the person I needed to talk to about getting released was never there.I went back to my apartment to try and speak with someone about having my lease terminated and while I was there I decided to go in to my apartment to confirm if the mold had been resolved or if it was still there to which I found the mold was growing out of control in the closet and bathroom and signs of the mold growing back under the kitchen sink. In the closet I found that a box I had in there that was filled with blankets had also had the mold growing on it as well. In the bathroom once I moved the items I had stored I found the floor panel of the cabinet was falling down and mold was growing on the back and side panels, on the outside of the cabinets next to the toilet I noticed the mold was growing there too, and then on the wall trim I noticed it has started to rot and mold leaving an area for insects to come in, I found a collective amount of bug remains on the bottom of the outside of the cabinets. I have made multiple attempts to contact management and upper management and NO ONE has called me back. The only time I have ever heard something was when I have spoken with Tina, and the only thing she tells me is that she still does not have an update. I feel taken advantage of and unheard by this complex and continue to have a HEAVY mold problem to this day!

Urban Palms has been an excellent apartment complex. The grounds are very well maintained and watched closely. Problems are fixed quickly (I always use the online form.) I recommend getting reserved parking due to towing vehicles. 👎 My one complaint is that we was not informed if we did not originally sign a 1 year contract that our RENT would NOT be locked in at that rate! In saying this, be careful because they will haggle with you for higher rent which can be negotiated for a lower rate with an increase of course! With this being said, we will be leaving after this lease period because before too long due to increases each expiration, we can be in something much nicer with more amenities. I tried to explain this and was told by management that it was in the fine print of the lease. Good luck.

I am reaching out because I was unsatisfied with the treatment I received from the Bella Vista Apartments in Brownsville, Texas, and their Regional Manager at United Apartment Group. I gave them notice September 29th, that I would be moving out early due to a work transfer. They agreed to let me move out early, as they had another tenant willing to move in. I paid the entire month of rent and then spoke with the office manager Jessica about getting a refund since I was moving out and another tenant moving in. They agreed to pro-rate the rent to the 16th and refund the rest. November 16, one of the ladies at the front desk did an inspection and told me I would owe $20 for the drip pans and that was it I didn’t owe anything else. I had already authorized for them to take my last water bill out of my refund. On the 16th, I turned in my apartment keys, mailbox key, and the gate opener. I moved out of the state that day. When I reached out to get an estimate of what my refund from security deposit and pro-rated rent would be they told me it was $540. Which would be $130 for the security deposit and the $410 for the rent. When I asked them why it was so low they informed me that they charged me rent through November 22nd. Even though one of the ladies had already said that they had a tenant ready to move in on the 18th. I called their Regional Manager, I believe her name was Karen. I called her three times when she finally called me back. She said she would look into it and call me back, she never called me back. On January 24th I reached out to the apartment complex again to get more information about the check, the office manager Jessica said the check had been sent and I should get it within three weeks. She said it was taking so long because there were corrections made to this check, 1st correction was because the corporate office said they needed to charge me rent from the 16th-22nd, and 2nd correction was when they reversed the charges for the rent when I was not living there. During this phone call I asked what address they were sending this check to, Jessica told me they were sending it to my new address and then gave me the new address. At that point in time I told her that was the wrong address and provided her with the correct address. She again said that I should have the check within 3 weeks, which would be February 14th. I called the apartment complex again just before February 14th to get the Regional Managers information, she told me the check was just cut so I should be getting it soon. On March 4th I called the Regional Manager again and left a voicemail asking for information about the check and why it was taking so long for me to get my money back, and asked for a return call. I never got a call back. As of today March 14th, I have not received the check for they money they owe me, nor have they called me back. I moved out of that complex in November 16th, they initially said I would have the check December 16th, then just after the new year, then January 24th, then 3 weeks after that, and now I’m not getting any return contact from them.I lived at the following address:4305 E Ruben M Torres Sr Blvd, Apt 3202Brownsville, Texas 78526

I called ALL day to see if it had been done, when I got off work at 4, it still wasn’t done or even looked at. The maintenance man tried to say it was DUST! We had a test kit to prove it is indeed mold after I brought this to the office, the maintenance man says, “OKAY ITS MOLD” like NOTHING!! Had maintenance argue with us about where it was coming from ..probably where the mold came from..what else? Oh, our cars were keyed along with about 20 others because gates never work, and people constantly trash the pool. One star is too many! I am disgusted by the behavior exhibited by staff at Vantage apartments in Panama City Beach! I returned home from a mandatory evacuation for Hurricane Michael to find my apartment had been flooded with water and was now growing mold on many surfaces of my personal belonging with a smell so pungent that the apartment is uninhabitable due to serious health concerns. Not only was I look at crazy for asking what I was supposed to do for housing and about rent, but was told sorry we already filled all our other one bedrooms and rent isn’t due for two weeks. I was also lied to and told the reason they had not walked the apartments and assessed them, was because they were unable to until their own insurance adjusters entered the apartments first....I had called 2 days prior and informed management of my concerns about probable water in my apartment due to having water damaged baseboards at move in which were reported on initial move in inspection paperwork yet never remedied, having multiple doors with poor seals and openings at the bottom door frame, and a strong pungent odor for months that was also reported but dismissed and not remedied by management either. I know this to be a blatant lie because immediately after I left the office, the maintanence manager came to my apartment and wanted to assess it, took pictures and stated he needed to get in immediately to clean it....this being after initially telling me less than 10 minutes earlier that they could not do this until an adjuster was their first????? The staff told me that they would clean and air out my apartment by pulling carpet back and using fans. One member of the staff, I think a new manager, who was so extremely rude without an ounce of empathy or caring about a current residents needs, told my boyfriend who was assisting me over the phone at one point, that my apartment WAS livable (she had NOT EVEN ENTERED IT) and that they could clean it and have me back in it the next day if I would just cooperate and let them clean it. Talk about blame shifting!! I have never experienced something like this in my life. It was sickening. I came back after complete devastation in the area and to the community as a whole, to my home being uninhabitable and instead of being taken care of and feeling secure about my options regarding my living situation, I was mocked by the management who are there to care for my needs, all tenants needs and concerns! And maybe also throw in a little decency and human concern for someone else just for simply being affected by this devastating event as well. I do know the staff was working to get housing for others in the area displaced by the hurricane and I am grateful and appreciative of that for others!!! The point of the matter is that this apartment staff and company did not see it necessary to take care of their current residents (being that I am also displaced now, even if there is a physical structure does not mean its inhabitable), but only to work on filling their vacate apartments (this is a newer apartment complex and they had not filled up yet). Due to Hurricane Michael, Vantage is able to fill up their complex and increase profit. And helping others, although I’m unsure this was the top motivating factor considering they are not concerned about helping their current tenants. For everyone moving in, I am grateful that Vantage has been able to place a roof over your head and security in this trying time!!! Be aware of the management, record everything and do not let them take advantage of you or ignore your concerns, because their track record is poor! I do not know how this will turn out still. I attempted to send the management a formal letter yesterday regarding water, mold and uninhabitable conditions although got an automated email back that offices were closed. They had not updated their email in 5 days or their phone systems to communicate with current tenants regarding office operation and assistance. Today my email was received. Only time will tell at this point! 🙏

I turned my keys in at The Jackson in San Antonio, TX on 08/10/2019. I received a walk through statement on 08/15/2019, almost 1 week later. The statement says I will receive a deposit 30 days after receiving the letter although I dont understand why I should be at their mercy when they chose to delay doing my walkthrough. Typically a deposit is refunded by 30 days after the move out date. I have attempted to reach out all week. It began with an email and today with 3 calls which all went unanswered. The moment I called from another phone number someone picked up. I asked for information on who the Regional Manager was and how I could reach him or her and the Assistant Manager gave a name and said she did not have contact information. Now that Ive tried to reach out to United Apartment Groups main line, their automated system can not direct calls correctly. It is impossible to speak to a human. I urge all apartment renters to stay away from United Apartment Group properties. I have never experienced so many issues with an apartment management/ owners company ever. I have already contacted the Better Business Bureau and will be reaching out to Bexar County Dispute Resolution Center and Texas Apartment Association. I lived at the Jackson Apartments for 1 year and it was the worst year of my life. On top of being afraid of the hoodlums, break ins and suspicious activity that management failed to address there was also roach issues, plumbing issues, and my lease was inaccurate. When it came time to move out, there was 2 different lease agreements under my name, for different apartments and dates, again due to lack of communication. If I had known better I would have reached out to the City of San Antonios Code department to report the 36 hours we had once gone without running water. I thought moving out would be the end of my problems here but it looks like a new battle has begun now, just to receive the deposit that is lawfully due to me.

Villas Del Zocalo Phase 1: bug infestedIve been having problems with this place since I moved in. I put a detailed review on their Google review page as well. It was only after complaining on there that they really seemed to kind of care, but as usual, I am waiting for: 1) a response to an email about PAYMENT, 2) a phone call about what dog breeds are allowed and 3) a phone call from the manager about options for my apartment.I have photographic evidence of some of the pests that I have seen in this apartment. I have around 20 photos collected since the end of November. I have found bugs in my kitchen (crawling across counters, near my cabinets), constantly in my bathroom (shower, cabinet, etc) and in my bedroom. Ive complained so many times. They are supposed to be spraying my apartment and my neighbors apartments. It is not working. I have continuous problems.I need someone to contact me ASAP regarding this apartment situation. I shouldnt have to pay for pest control if it is not working.

This is a very unprofessional company. I would advise everyone to steer clear of this company!

Its so hard in 2017 to find such amazing people to work among. Im truly blessed to be a part of United Apartment Group. GO UAG!!!

To the company that manages Melia apartment homes:Warning to anyone looking to lease with Melia, RUN AWAY SAVE YOUR MONEY!This complex is infested with bugs rodents and bad management, not only does the complex not have any working boilers (leaving residents without running hot water) but there is also plumbing issues, leaks that cause the ceiling to open up in several apartments. The work order system for maintenance is a joke, they don’t take anything serious. We have taken photos and videos and have other residents with the same issues we are having. We are planning to go to the news and on making several necessary reports. We deeply regret moving here. Do not sign the lease. It is not worth it.

I used to reside @ Ascension Point Condos in Arlington TX & can say that it starts from the top down.... this is one of the worst customer service experiences Ive encountered! No one answers calls, returns voicemails & theyve even ignored a BBB Complaint. Not sure how theyre staying afloat with all the issues. Ill attach my review of Ascension Point to this as well.Do NOT move into this place!!!! Looks can be deceiving... the exterior is somewhat maintained but the apartments are not. When I moved in the apartment was still dirty, mismatched paint, broken blinds, clogged dishwasher, dirty refrigerator & toilet & the ice machine never worked. After multiple work orders put in everything was addressed fast forward to 2 yrs later when I wanted to upgrade from a 1 to 2 bedroom I ran into the same issue... A DIRTY apartment!!!! They dont take pride in their apartments & Michelle the office manager is rude & will talk down to you or flat out hang the phone up on you, she hates her job & it shows. When I asked her when they were going to renovate the property... she just laughed! Now that Ive moved out theyve charged me for cleaning the carpet when theyre actually replacing all the units with new carpet & holding my money hostage. Ive even filled a BBB complaint to no avail. Dont let the prices fool you... its NOT worth the hassle!

Please never rent here. Save yourself the trouble.I lived here for 3 years before the new management took over and love it. But I hate living here now. So heres a list of things my roommate and myself have had problemswith since we moved in.1. Move in date kept getting pushed back and we werent compensated for prorated rent for a later move in date.2. We didnt have a hot water heater for 10 days after we moved in.3. I had a bunch of unknown fees that werent told to me by the leasing agent at the time. But management laterdecided to gouge me with these fees.I mean why would they have given us the keys without charging uswith all of the appropriate fees? But apparently I had to pay a bunch of fees I didnt know aboutand management never told me about it. They just charged me a bunch of late fees for not payingmoney that I never knew I owed for the apartment.4. Our A/C hasnt been working properly for over 5 weeks now. Management has replaced the unit and tends to blame us (the tenantsr)for the fact that the A/C isnt working.5. Management tends to post Contact us type comments on here. They will probably post one as a reply to this comment. But I HAVE contacted them and it has been useless so far!!!!Corporate is no help whatsoever. Dont even bother.

This “business” is trash just like the apartments they manage. I don’t know how they do things in Texas but in Virginia where I’m from people answer the phone or atleast return multiple voicemails. I’ve been trying to contact this place to give me my refund for my Vida apartment application I did on March 27. Texas property law states a landlord has 7 days to process an application after receipt of money by applicant. Here it is May 1 and I still have yet to get my refund. And UAG when you see this do not comment and say “please call us” I’ve called y’all multiple times and you haven’t returned any of my calls. If I do not have my refund by May 9 I will be getting an attorney and will be taking you to court for $100 civil penalty, 3 times the amount I paid ($153.27) plus attorney and court costs. So I’m thinking around $1200 if you don’t give me my $153.27 back.

The Apartments are ok not great not horrible just ok. The staff is friendly when approached but I have seen my fair share of people come and go from the office in the short 8 months I have lived here so far. all of the issues I have had have daily due to the edge of the apartments. The parking lot is in need of major repairs anytime it is raining a majority of the spaces are unusable due to large puddles of water collecting, in most places the water is 3 to 5 inches deep enough to completely cover your shoes. Also the units are not insulated very well and will result in higher electricity costs. I moved here from a newer complex around the corner to save 120 bucks per month on rent and my electricity bill spike from being here has offset that cost and im actually paying more in total here then I was over there, Insulate the exterior walls and attic areas and replace old leaky single pain windows with energy efficient double pain windows fitted with argon gas is will greatly cut down on the utilities costs. Also the cabinets are old and are in need of being replaced not fixed torn out and replaced. the location is key for me it is right by my sons school and that makes a world of difference in out busy lives. It is close to major highways and lots of activities and restaurants, having the park so close is also a huge plus. All in all not a bad place to live if you understand you get what you pay for.

The last time I saw anyone from maintenance they said they cleaned the unit on the roof and recharged it, well I guess that wasnt the solution and I have been putting in maintenance requests ever since. This is a health issue for me and my roommate and when we rented this apartment it says in the lease it comes with central air and heat. I guess because were on housing we dont count, thats how I feel, and the staff when you try to talk to them about the situation they are very rude and act like that just dont have the time to deal with you....I wouldnt recommend these apartments to my best friend or family.

Orders of Protection against tenants and still they live in the complex still harrassing neighbors. When UAG refuses to communicate with tenants and their office staff the same what is left to do? I live in moline il at an apartment complex called pheasant Ridge Apartments. It is the most unsanitary place Ive lived. In october started a mouse problem. They had pest control come in and they placed sticky traps. It is now Jan have called them several times. They say there is nothing they can do. I cant even use my kitchen due to even if you open the oven mice come out. Also I have several things that have gone over a year without being fixed. Looking to get out of here ASAP. I will be filling a suit against this company. I am a little late on rent. Im not going to pay rent with all these problems. I would not rent at least from pheasant ridge. They do not care about their residents. If I could have given negative stars I would. Cannot get office help to stay and the second floor smells of pot all the time. They also left notes on my door saying I had to remove my dog because he wasnt on the lease they said I had to pay another 300 dollars and additional 15 a month. When in Sept 2017 I paid 300 dollars and I do pay 15 extra a month. When I stupidly did another lease they said did anything change I said no brought in my income. I asked if I had to sign another pet lease they said no. All they care about is money. A lot of what they advertise you dont get. The pool has never been up and running, they said all Apts have ceiling fans and garbage disposals its all lies. They will not be getting another 300 out of me. They also will not tell you the address or phone number of the company that owns pheasant ridge.
