Exceptional customer service. Very pleased with my time at 1800 Broadway. Ashley and AJ are were always extremely helpful and very professional. Went above and beyond. Highly recommend 1800 Broadway.
I’ve only been working here a few months but I love this area and our management company! The property is well maintained, our management team is quick to respond to issues and we throw the best resident functions! We are only a few short minutes walk from the Pearl which is a big attraction for the majority of our residents! We offer luxury living with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and 7 different community areas! Come see for yourself!
Lived here for 4 years and if youre looking to live next to the pearl this is the best place. Staff is friendly and helpful (shoutouts to Ashely and AJ). The apartments are good size and quality made with decent sound reduction so youre not hearing everything you neighbors are doing. There is construction going on, and the streets can be noisy (South Park understands how I feel about loud Harley motorcycle riders) so if street sound is an issue id recommend you get an interior apartment or one on the Alamo street side.
I moved to San Antonio from Upstate NY in the middle of the COVID pandemic - at first I was super nervous about having to find an apartment that I couldnt personally visit before moving, but I am super happy that I was able to find an ideal living situation with 1800 Broadway.Pros:- Beautiful, spacious luxury apartments for great prices compared to surrounding complexes (and good specials/deals; short-term leases available with fair flexibility in pricing)- Pretty safe location with good walkability; only 5-minute walk to the Pearl, 1-minute walk to a CVS, 2-minutes to a gas station, ~5 minutes to many other restaurants- Location right near the highway to avoid any city traffic, close to downtown- Maintenance completes requests in a timely fashion- Good amenities that are always clean (pool, gym, common areas, parking garage, etc.)- Never lost electric during the 2021 Texas Snowpocalypse (and only lost water for like... 12 hours)Cons:- Loud from environmental noise, especially if you live with a view of Broadway St or near a construction site- Occasional homeless people walking by; but Ive never experienced or heard of any dangerous situations- There was a time one of the garage doors was frequently breaking; but after the most recent, extensive repair its been working great!Overall, my experience at this complex has been absolutely amazing; I have had no major issues. Unfortunately, I have to move out of state again and need to leave this wonderful place behind - Im hoping my next complex can provide me with as smooth of a process and comfortable a living situation as 1800 Broadway has.
Careful if you need help with anything, like getting your place unlocked. Nothing but confusing. Want to ask someone in the front office for help? They’ll just give you a business card and shoo you out their door.I found out that I parked in the wrong spot once my car was towed. Hours of walking around a sketch neighborhood to get forms signed, hundreds of dollars, and one ruined afternoon later, I got the car back.Never staying with them again, never giving them one cent again. Any charm that San Antonio has and these folks are quickly taking it awayl
My wife & I have lived here 3 times 😬 and have really enjoyed it. This last 2 years being our most enjoyable. Great apartment, good price & really good staff. From front office to the maintenance team- great group of people...... def recommend living here! So many good memories for our family!
Pretty much took me about a day to decide on whether I was going to live here or not (As you can tell, I signed ASAP.) The agent (Misty) was very upfront with all costs associated with my 1 bedroom. The apartment itself was in pristine condition (fresh coat of paint, new/washed carpet) and all the amenities are new to include a really modern color scheme. The parking is included in the rent, and you really have no issue finding parking, very well lit and secure! I wanted something by the Pearl instead of downtown since it a little more quiet and less crowded. Living in downtown and driving to work (opposite traffic) is always a great perk. But was really surprised me, was the follow up. Patti, AJ, and Misty genuinely care about the tenants that live there, and that doesnt stop after you sign the lease. They continue their service with great suggestions of where to eat, and answer any question you might have. Last thing, they are working with a really smooth software to put in work orders, pay rent, and stuff up-to-date with community events. Great for the working person on the road. Its only been a few weeks, and so far so good.
Once 1800 started letting Sonder use apartments for Airbnb this place hasn’t been the same. This is a residence and not a hotel.
Great location with nice amenities. There are no major issues in our unit and we like how spacious it is. The staff has always been friendly, helpful, and professional. There are a couple of downsides including visitor parking being $10 per night. This apartment lacks the community feel of many other apartment complexes though management does make an effort and it seems to be improving. Several units have experienced severe mold issues. The complex would benefit from cameras for security in or around the parking garage as there have been several thefts reported including a car.
BE VERY CAREFUL if you try to use Sonder for reservations as well as On-Site and Renterrelations. All employees at 1800 Broadway should reconsider their use of these companies. What a complete waste of peoples time.
Great place to live. A little pricey but you get what you pay for.Pros:-Staff are easily some of the best people you will meet and are extremely helpful. They coordinate socials almost weekly in a fun way for all the residents to enjoy (there were free drinks)-Covered garage-Maintenance is usually handled quickly-Location is right on Broadway St (duh)-Secure. No one off the street can just walk up to your door-If you work on post, drive is less than 2 minutes to the gateCons:-If you are by yourself, it’s a bit pricey-Parking lot is leaf blown twice a week which leaves dirt all over your car-Not a lot in the gym, but you can make it work if you’re creativeOnly reason I gave this 4 stars is the dirt on the car issue. If I come back to San Antonio, I would definitely try to live here
I lived here for two years...Its apartment living so there is going to be noise and the usual things that go on with living in an apartment. Staff was nice and mostly professional. I can confirm that the ants are a HUGE issue and all the spraying in the world doesnt get rid of them. Even if your food is in a closed container, the ants are going to find a way in..Location is really nice. My issue is that I was paying Washington DC prices for a 2 bedroom apartment in San Antonio. Rent prices make it not worth living here. There is quite a bit of turnover in the Complex. Bottom line for me 1800 Broadway was not a good value for my money.
I love the 1800 ! We have great Amenities, very helpful Office Staff and Maintenance Guys .The Location couldnt be any better. The Pearl Brewery with tons of restaurants, bars and Shops is just across the street.Everything you need is basically in Walking distance. If you are Military Ft Sam is just a 5 Minute drive.Very dod friendly as well with a small private dog park just behind the apartment building.
Lived here for over a year and it has been great. Apartments are beautiful, facilities are top-notch, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Would recommend
I was referred by a friend to look at 1800 Broadway. It was a very cool place nice office staff, the amenity are top notch. Would recommend and the new hallway floors look great.
WARNING NO MILITARY CUSTOMER SERVICE. Dont sign a lease or put in an application unless you know the military will not move you. The fine print that they dont tell you about when you apply is that when you cancel a lease you forfeit any monies left on hand due to liquidated damages. Regardless if you have military notice. They also charge the next 30 days if you cannot provide notice in time, on top of not refunding the refundable deposit.UPDATE from response from below from the owner and re-contacted the property and they said there is nothing they can do. So no point in your response post if you will not do anything about it.
Weve lived at 1800 Broadway for 5 months now. We love it. A bit pricey, but the amenities and resort-like feel are worth it.Regarding flooding: I believe this is a city and street issue. Broadway has really bad drainage that the city is supposed to be fixing. I really hate to see sour reviews based on something that is out of the apartments control.Staff and Management: Wonderful! Tom, Allison, and Doug are the best. They have been eager and quick to fix any small problem Ive had.Construction quality: some of the finishes seem rushed. Some of the trim pieces are 1/4 inch short. Seems like the contractor was rushing to finish the job. Caulking is sloppy and used to fill in gaps. Floors and walls have been fine. I wish the ceiling lights were brighter. For the $$$ the apartments ask for, it would be nice to have recessed can lights throughout.Parking is tight. I wish the parking garage isle was wider. Its tricky if two cars are traveling. What I dont like about the parking is all the reserved spots. There seems to be around 50 parking spots that are reserved for people who will pay $75 a month for them. I see about 15-20 cars legally parked in them. I wish theyd open up more unreserved spots or give each unit one assigned spot so you dont have to hunt every day for a spot on your level. One thing I like about 1800 is that the high end finishes of granite counter tops, wood floors, and taller ceilings are all standard at 1800. Other places charge an upgrade fee for these finishes.I love the small and intimate community feeling that 1800 has over some of the larger developments in the area. The apartments are generally very quiet. I was really nervous about hearing neighbor noises, but we have never heard a peep from anybody.Pool, hang out areas, and fitness center are top notch. Most of the neighbors weve have met are military officers, downtown professionals, or empty nesters. Theres an amount of younger people (us) living here, but they dont seem rowdy or party happy. In my opinion, 1800 is the best apartment option downtown right now.
I LOVE living at 1800 and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else!!! The location is incredible (across the street from the Pearl and down the block from Brackenridge Park and very close to downtown. During Fiesta we have a front-row view to the parades. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful—it is clear they care about their residents and go out of their way to help in any way they can. The apartments themselves are beautiful and reasonably priced especially considering all the amenities 1800 provides (beautiful pool, gym, social areas, discounts at various local businesses, resident appreciation breakfasts and Spurs ticket playoff raffles!) Maintenance requests are always fulfilled in a very timely manner (almost always the very next day). 1800 is absolutely the place to be!
Had a great experience living at 1800 Broadway. The location is great, right across from the Pearl and lots to do within the area that is within walking distance. The Riverwalk is also right there which is a great running location and place to bring visiting guests. I lived in a studio configuration facing Broadway which allowed for great people watching and was ideal for the Fiesta Parade. The only downside to facing Broadway could be the noise during the weekends, the windows do a great job at blocking a lot of it but loud cars can be heard. Staff was great the 1.5 years I lived there and have no complaints. The only issue I had was hearing my neighbor directly above me in the wee hours of the night. The walls are well insulated, but the impact / vibration of neighbors who walk heavily can be heard if you live below them. It wasnt a huge issue but was unpleasant due to my upstairs neighbor having odd hours when they moved about, if not for this I would give 5 stars. Overall great experience and awesome location.
Great apartment complex. Really care about their residents and put in the extra effort to stand out
Ive lived here for a little over a year now, and I really love this place. The fact that there are plenty of nice amenities-- pool, gym, gardens, common areas-- that are always nice and clean, plus the very desirable location, make this place entirely worth the high rent. Delicious food is quite literally right across the street, and, of course, there are food trucks several times a month. I was worried about noise in an apartment complex, but the wall insulation is impressive; I hardly ever hear my neighbors! In addition, the office staff are friendly and helpful, and maintenance requests are always handled in a timely manner. I have one of the less desirable units in the building-- windows overlook a school bus parking lot thats noisy in the mornings, and Im on the side of the building with no balconies-- and Im still very, very happy living here. Cannot recommend this place more!
Every issue reported with management is spot on. Management is horrible on all levels. The location is phenomenal, but management is rude, talks to the customer as though you owe them, and slow to accommodate. Stay away
The staff, the location and the lifestyle make this the perfect place for my wife and I. We LOVE 1800 Broadway!
Awesome location, friendly staff and a great place to live!
Have lived here for 3 years and will be moving next month. First 2 years went well, and the last year has been an issue. Lots of construction going on in the complex. We have had issues with ants in our apartment consistently. The management/front desk offered ZERO assistance as we approach the end of our lease, as we buy a house. They could absolutely care less to help with our transition, and did not attempt to help us one bit. Lastly, the icing on the cake, the air conditioner in our apartment has been out the past 2 days, and it does not seem to be the slightest priority to anyone working for this apartment complex to get this issue fixed. And as for the On-call assistance, they never answer the phone so any repair or problem after hours or on the weekend, never gets fixed.
Great place to live
We moved to 1800 Broadway Apartments less than a year ago. We were really excited about the move, the place looks nice and very modern and also the fact that we were going to live across the street from The Historic Pearl, but looks can be deceiving. The excitement did not last long because we got an apartment INFESTED with cockroaches (kitchen and Master Bathroom). We had to wait 5 weeks (yes, we lived in a bug infested apartment for 5 weeks) to get relocated into a tiny apartment, but at least NO bugs. The Management at that time (Graystar) was simply horrible. Not only bugs everywhere (staircase and hallways, too), the area is really noisy (cars, trucks, the school buses in N Alamo ST and the train will not let you sleep). The hallways are always dirty, the green areas & pet park are always covered in dog poop and the staircase (N Alamo St) always smells like dog pee. We have new Management and things are getting a little bit better but green areas, hallways, pet park, etc., are still disgusting. The only good thing about this place is the location, thats why I gave them two stars.
Great location, amenities and staff!
Very helpful staff
This place takes 4 months to fix ONE problem. Beware
Good experience until the end of our lease
New manager is rude
Terrible management :(
