Lived at The Vintage for 3 years, mostly good experiences. Something they could improve on would be more cameras throughout the property, especially in parking garages due to increased car break-ins. Other than that, property was well maintained and James was always willing to go above and beyond for residents. Give that man a raise!
Great experience so far, besides me having a issue with one of the employees that work in the front office stealing my Jordans that she thought she would most likely be able to profit from. They were delivered to the wrong address and she somehow thought it was okay to just take my shoes and leave the office with them, the manager was a lot of help and looked at the video evidence to make sure that I would be able to file a police report. Btw the employee (Cassidy Koertner) was fired but she never had the decency to bring my shoes back.
I love the apartment, but the office staff is very rude and inconsiderate, not willing to help or offer solutions to problems, even though the property is beautiful and peaceful and the apartments are spacious, the rudeness of the office staff and management throws off the vibe, so i would not recommend renting here. With the amount of money tenants pay every month, the staff should show more professional courtesy, especially the management
We enjoy living here, most of the staff is great! Unfortunately, the managers let people smoke in the hallway as they wish. Especially the people on the first floor make it so uncomfortable that people have to work around to avoid them. They would sit out there smoking for hours and they have done so for months now. They make it difficult for parents to walk kids around. It is really a shame!!
We recently moved out of these apartments because we are in need of a larger space. We were hoping to receive our security deposit back (or at least some of it) but were prepared for some charges as the management informed us that there were spot cleaning fees, etc. that are charged to almost everyone.I was also expecting a paint fee as there was a spot on the wall in the study under our desk where our feet went and that spot must have gotten worse over our year living there due to our shoes.7 days ago, I received an email letting me know that we have a credit of $60 on our account and I called the leasing office to ask them how we could get this back. I was told that we would get whatever amount back from our security deposit ($200) plus the $60 credit (so a total of $260) after they deducted the cleaning/painting fees on our final account statement. This morning, I received our final account statement and unfortunately, we will not be receiving any of our money back from the $260. We actually will still owe them $19.06!The account statement doesnt even have a line for our $60 though, so it says we still owe them $79.06.The worst part of this move out has been my experience with the leasing office today. I moved into the vintage (where my husband had been living since Aug 2019) in February 2020.. 3 weeks before the pandemic. So terrible timing to start a job hunt... I have been unemployed since. When I called the leasing office to ask them to explain the fees that I was charged and how they compared in cost to the the spot clean/paint fee that I was expecting to be charged... the woman on the phone told me that it wasnt that much of a difference. just about $40. and did not specify to me whether I was charged for a spot clean or the more expensive one. (*please note that my husband and I are two young, clean newlyweds that left 4 small holes from screws for our shelves and the spot on wall under the desk that I previously mentioned would definitely need a painting).I felt extremely dismissed and when I let the woman know that $40 was actually a big difference to me due to my unfortunate employment status due to covid, she laughed at me twice (I hope the calls are actually recorded like the message says they are for training purposes). My husband and I would have given this complex 4 or 5 stars before this incident today. This woman spoke on the phone with me twice today and didnt say bye when she hung up and seems very unprofessional. Her only answer to me was to call the number on the email that had our final account statement so the other department could handle this as she no longer as access to my files. I understand that but there is absolutely no need to be so ugly in a world full of ugliness. Its so sad and I hope that no one has to experience this from her or anyone in management here.***Sierra and James are wonderful people and it should be noted that the woman described above is not property manager, Sierra. This is a long, novel of a review but I thought it was worth sharing as now we are out almost $300... and with a newborn coming any day now and one of us being a full time medical school student and the other of us being unemployed due to COVID-19, this experience was really sad to have to experience. I am shocked and disappointed at the level of unprofessionalism I was given and the lack of help this woman was seemingly giving me.We really did love our experience but it wasnt good enough to write about after this situation.
I’ve been living here for over three years, and have had a great experience. The property is well maintained and has lots of nice hanging ivy and a handful of palm trees. The inside of the apartment I have is large and has a very open layout with skylights and wood flooring.I saw another review that mentioned the lease has a clause that doesn’t allow residents to leave negative reviews, but I checked and double checked my current lease and those from years past and can’t find any verbiage about leaving reviews at all. Oh! And the maintenance person I know is a sweetheart. You can read more about him in the other reviews but he is a very respectable guy and really goes out of his way - once he noticed a light out while doing some routine work and he went ahead and replaced the bulb without me even needing to ask. Great place to live, and the garage parking is great
Santa Barbara: 2 bed, 2 bath, 1 assigned carport, 1 floating car passPros:- Prices are quite reasonable compared to the competition in the area- The staff is friendly and helpful- The layouts of the room are spacious- Very large kitchen, full-sized washer and dryer in-unit- Diverse, respectable, polite tenants for the most partCons:- Neighbors occasionally blast music at night- Parking is really the only major problem....very limited guest parking; there have been times where there was nowhere to park even with a floating car pass.Summary:The location is in a nice area close to the 10 freeway. There are many kids in the complex and the community feels like a safe place to raise a family. I would move in here again if the had the option and would recommend it to friends / family.
Gorgeous place to live with lots of greenery and covered parking for all (important with all the hail SA keeps getting). There are condos and apartments and they are roomy and have great lighting. Maintenance is very responsive and friendly. Its no wonder there are usually not any openings, so if there is one, I recommend taking it
Had an apartment here for most of the year while working in town. Best apartment complex Ive ever lived in - well maintained, full of wonderful gardening and amenities and the staff like Ali and James are fantastic to deal with and responsive to any issues. Would recommend to anyone looking in the area!
Recently moved here from St. Louis and I must say that I was extremely pleased with the apartment. Ali and Christine were very helpful throughout and the process of applying for the apartment and throughout the stay. Nice gated community with plenty of covered parking. I would highly recommend this place.
Pluses: extremely convenient if you work at the Medical Center (and a discount on the rent); flexible lease programs; quiet; good security; beautifully landscaped; a commercial-grade parking garage; elevators; large windows providing great lighting for your apartment; so far very responsive maintenance. Minuses: the interiors are pretty dated (w/d issues right after move-in, older kitchen appliances, scuffed up floor boards and cabinets), really limited closet space compared to newly constructed apartment complexes. The apartment manager is forgetful and not particularly tech-savvy. Luckily theres Ali, who is the epitome of professionalism, efficiency, and just downright southern hospitality. (Hint, dear property owners: promote Ali to run the Vintage - shes the reason we didnt run for the hills after initially dealing with her boss...)
My job relocated me; however, my family is still at home because of my husbands job. So, I was a little concerned about finding the right place. The staff, especially Ali, has been outstanding. Ali went into detail with me about various apartments and options. She was professional and yet personable. Ali knew the premises as well as the surrounding area. Throughout the application process Ali was able to answer my questions and did not seem bothered by my interruptions. Thank you. I am excited to live here. Charlotte Payne
Very beautiful apartments my sister lives there a couple months and it was beautiful to walk around the court yard and pool.
I may be just twelve years old but the Vintage is a blast!I mean really a dog park, 🐕!It is small with a couple of obstacles my dog fianlly mastered them! There is a running Valet Trash system that runs every Monday-Saturday!Plus a nice quite save area,a bonus is a gym with a nice small 📺!An amazing fact is that this used to be hotel and you can tell by the nice setup!2 penthouses are included in the front if you realize the 2 front areas on the street view camera, nice employees that are sweet and trust worthy and are quick to work this place 100 percent deserves 5 stars!I ❤ the Vintage!Move in today and see exactly what i mean! 😀😉😍😝😁😘😆😋😂
I recently moved here from NYC, and though I have only been a resident for a little over a week I have already been impressed. I visited over 30 complexes in San Antonio before deciding on The Vintage.Beginning with what you get for your money (and bear in mind I am coming off of New York City rents, but…) this place by far is returning more on my rental investment than I expect any of the other places I evaluated would be. The property is well maintained and includes what some here would take as baseline but coming from NYC I considered to be “extra”, including: washer/dryer in unit, central air, modern appliances, balcony, daily trash pick-up directly outside my door, swimming pool, and covered parking (something I am already appreciative of considering the hail we just saw). The apartments are clean, spacious, and well laid out. And less expensive than anything else I found in its class. However, as a renter I know just how little the apartment and property amenities mean if the management staff is sub-par. While I haven’t had any issues yet to address, my transition from NYC to San Antonio was made all the easier thanks to the staff here (and worth calling out by name).Ali processed my application (not as straight forward as some applications) and went the extra mile to see it completed. She answered each and every one of my many (many) emails promptly, efficiently, and patiently. Friendly, professional, and clearly skilled beyond just being the first face you will see upon visiting—she not only understands the property inside and out, but has demonstrated a keen understanding of property management. Having dealt with both some of the worst and best management staff in NYC, Ali easily ranks higher than the best I have found to-date.James is so much more than “the maintenance guy”. He greets you by name and with a smile every time he sees you. We quickly found that we shared some of our backgrounds, having both lived in New York, and both ride motorcycles. James not only helped me with the specifics of how to get my bike inspected and registered here, but literally helped me take it down and out from the truck I shipped it in. And when he found me one morning working under it, he dropped to his knees and helped me complete the installation of some piping I was putting on it. The guy seems to be both tireless and infinitely passionate about making this place a pleasant stay for every resident.A company is only as good as its people. The Vintage already has quality reviews online, and I am feeling good about the decision I have made. But I hope the corporate office is paying attention to the successes they are proud of, and understands just how they occurred. I decided to sign my lease because of Ali and James. I hope that doesn’t go unnoticed by corporate.
Were now in our 6th year at The Vintage so they must be doing something right. Actually they do a lot right. Apartments are great as is the management. The maintenance team, with James in charge is the best in the business.
I live here since June (6 months) and not a word to complain. I did all the arrangements by phone (coming from Canada) and read all reviews posted. My expectations were high and I was worried of taking a risk on a 1 year lease. My 2 bedroon is great, spacious, not new but very well mantained and the price is fair. The staff is always there for us, James is gentle and takes care of the services I request in my unit. Great place to leave, 10 min walk from the hospital and the UTHSCSA Long Campus.
High quality place to live.
The most gloomiest place on earth. The property is very old and there are damp walls and mosses everywhere. The whole place looks haunted. It’s just awful.
Friends live here and like it.
