Ive been here for a couple of years now and just put in my notice to move. Im so sad to be leaving Contigo. I absolutely love my apartment, the location is great, the community is really quiet, the staff is awesome and my neighbors have become great friends. If I ever return to SA and will definitely come back to Contigo!

I visited my mom late last year for a couple of months, I was shocked at the amount of issues the apartment had. Electricity wasn’t working in the living room or patio, the shower faucet kept breaking every other day, and left a gaping hole in her shower for months. Not sure how often the management keeps up with pest control, but there were roaches coming from the walls. Truly a shame since the complex looks beautiful and is located in a great area

My ex-wife has rented one of their unit for 14 months. Absolutely Terrible experience. We are military and base housing, trust me, luxurious compared to this place. The unit is just run down, the cost way to high for the quality. Im glad the Leasing is finally up and glad her and my son are out. Management is running a daycare instead of a business. I would never recommend and referral any of my military collogues.

Run people, and Run fast, 5 star review are likely fake to boost ratings, demonstration is the quick back to back comments within a few hours, same day, and go figure, engaging positive comments on management.. be aware as family related to the staff members. I have leased a couple of other properties in the past for several years but in this one regrettably I couldnt last much longer, even if shared with my aunt, with shared expenses...truth?!? nothing special is offered in this establishment justifying the high priced rent. 80% of us never gotten a remote control to open the gate, management said front dialup is aged with limited capacity that wont program, however, they waisted money painting the whole parking areas asphalt which now is back to what it was prior the service. No cameras anywhere, no playground, the highway constant traffic noises beyond imagination. Gym does not have an AC, therefore,  impossible to use and handle the hot temperature. I agree with car break-ins happening every so often (see pictures). Front office staff in general and management non communicative, unexperienced prone to ignore your request for intervention and services. Community dumpsters overflooding the parking lot with garbage with people disposing trash anywhere, including doorway for days. Some of the tenants have junk cars parked around the community occupying much needed parking spots sometimes even months at a time. The back buildings constantly subject to domestic disturbance requiring often late evening law enforcements intervention. Complex requires a renters insurance plan due to flooding, roof leaking, sewages backs up, and anything related to plumbing as these apartments are over 20 years old, (please see pictures showing multiple ongoing water shot-offs) plus theft reports and vandalism to cars as well as constant electrical outage that will burn out your electronics.  Internet constantly being disconnected, confirmed by spectrum in my case for cables lines simply too old and damaged. Pool area often dirty, gets cleaned every full moon, furthermore given the fact there is no monitoring some of the tenants would smoke even when children are present. My neighbor has 3 kids, she constantly complains about being infested with roaches, however, you will be charged for mandatory pest control fee but will possibly get serviced under request receiving spray treatment inside your unit only in the corners dismissing the fact roaches are coming from your plumbing. Pictures are from my personal email and captured by me. Crazy!!!

I’m truly grateful to the ladies in the front office for all their help during these tough times. But if I’m being completely honest, communication could be better overall. Other than that, I’ve never had any issues. The floor plans are perfect for the price and the Amazon hub for mail makes it super easy and convenient. They are constantly renovating and making positive changes for the complex which is also really nice.

Very nice & quiet community! The apartment it self is beautiful with beautiful scenery & being able to see the fireworks at sea world is a plus because my daughter loves them! If you like roaches, dust, mold, and inattentive staff then this is your dream home. SNOVID-19 is another display of stellar incompetence. The office sent emails and posted signs about leaving water on during the freeze. I left my water dripping but some one in my building did not and a pipe burst in my building. It is day 7 of no water. Residence do not have faith in the office when they say plumbers are on the way. The irony of this is a few buildings in the complex do have water. So residences without water have to find containers, take them to a building with water, fill them and trek them back to the apartment. The office set up an apartment for residence to shower but scheduling an appointment is tricky because the office does not answer the phone. Bottom line...if the office cares about residence, they hide it well.

Ngl. After having two apartments in this complex, from old owners to new. We STILL havent been able to use our dishwasher. It accumulates dirty water and even when we moved to a new apartment with brand new compliances it upheld its past problems. Smell is foul, looked into getting it fixed. Also kinda wish the doggy bag disposal areas were closer to the walkway rather than far out near the trees, risk of snakes and opposums. On the bright side, nice community, nice gym, nice people for the most part. So far, the location and calm environment is worth the rent.

Ive been here for almost a year and plan on staying for another. Staff is very friendly, never had to use maintenance but I see them around the complex everyday working. I was impressed with how clean my unit was when I moved in. It was spotless and even the paint job was done well which really impressed me. The complex is well maintained and landscaped. Its quiet with more of a family vibe which is nice. I feel very safe living here, its gated with one exit and one entrance. The only issue I have is my standard dryer doesnt fit under the water heater. Ive made it work though. Also for the price I wish the interior was a little more updated. Then again I could move across the highway and have the upgrades but I think the friendly, quiet, well maintained, and friendly neighbors is better than upgrades. They do however offer upgraded units for a price. The parking isnt bad for my building but I can see how other buildings might suffer. I highly recommend Tara Vista!!!!

Stay away from this housing community. Not only are the becoming increasingly overpriced but the management is simply offensive. My spouse is a disabled veteran, how has financial difficulties. When their system failed to properly take away the funds for rent payment as it usually takes charges immediately, this time their system failed. We made the payment via money order, a week after the payment was made they now want to add a ridiculous 55 dollar fee.Their office manager Janet is an absolutely awful lady the person that we spoke about this whole thing and did nothing to help was Laura.Stay away from this location. Apartments are small and overpriced. They do not value and discriminate against veterans.Choose a better location! You deserve better!

Tara Vista Apartments are a very safe bet. The majority of the time it is very quiet. Sure there are occasional external noises from traffic, etc... but, unless you live in Antarctica, thats noise thats going to occur and beyond the control of any apartment complex. In fact, the only time Ive been bothered by noise its due to an inconsiderate neighbor. Unfortunately, those people are out there among us. The management team will try their best to remediate any issues no matter how difficult. Theyll just find a way. The other neighbors are great and friendly. Its a diverse community and I welcome it. If youre thoughtful of others, youll do great here.

The negative reviews seem asinine and picky to me. I dont hear Sea World while Im home, though I can see the coaster from the parking lot. I also once heard the seals (again from the parking lot not inside), but found that to be more interesting than annoying. Also, I dont know who gets upset about a free fireworks show on Friday evenings. Seriously, who gets upset about that, its a perk. It isnt loud or boisterous, just a nice free fireworks show over the treeline. I dont have a pet and I dont use the trail, so I cant speak to the dog poop, but I can say that the staff are courteous, professional, and have always greeted me and attended to my needs the very second Ive ever walked in the door of the leasing office. Its a good, reasonably priced complex. Ive been over a year and I like it. It has good, cold AC, warm heating (for the 2 days a year youll need it in San Antonio), and a responsive maintenance staff.

This is the absolute worst place I have ever lived. For 2 weeks my husband, my newborn, my 4 year old, and I had to sleep in the living room together because of flooding and this was not the first time this had happened. Then when I was moving out they charged me for damages that the flooding caused. Which I paid because I just wanted to be done with this headache of an apartment complex. Then fast forward 4 months Im trying to get into another apartment and they tell them that I still owe money. Which I didnt, so I sent over the bank statement showing they had cashed my check. The Janice the manager acts like she has no idea what Im talking about even though I had been talking with her the whole time. And on top of that I can not get anyone from corporate to call me back.

My family and I have been here for about 7 months, I really like it. It is very family oriented, very quiet and the parking is great. Ive only had one problem while living here and that was my rent getting misplaced the first month I was here. I was told there was a drop box that could be used if needed. Since I wouldnt get home until after office hours due to my job, i took full advantage. I thought it was ridiculous when staff told me that rent had been missing before due to the use of the drop box, implying someone saw me put the money in the drop box and went to go get it. I think thats silly but who knows. I was then given a notice saying I had to pay that rent by a certain date or i would be evicted. With all that being said the drop box was closed right after the incident. oh and there are a lot of dog owners and they do not pick up poop.

Maintenance staff is proficient in their work and manages outages with appropriate haste to your needs. During holidays the SeaWorld fireworks shows are spectacular and easily viewed from many vantage points. The highest populated corner of the complex doesnt have enough parking and requires a walk of some distance. The problem is exacerbated by 5 year resident only parking that is usually left empty.

Its alright and the staff were friendly. Just dont get pets or theyll charge you a whole lot when you move out. A little damage on the carpet will cost you your pet deposit and your rent deposit and then some. So, if you are going to rent here, dont get any pets. Theyd charge you $560+ for carpet changePros: Near interests (heb, target, various restaurants)Cons: Heavy traffic on 151, gym equipment very minimal, expensive, dog owners dont pick up dog poop so there are literally dog poop everywhere. They boast about the trail but its basically just a shortcut to go to Sea World full of garbage and dog poop. One time, there are bunch of dirty mattresses everywhere. I forgot the staffs name but theres this blonde lady at the office who seems special I told her I have a package and she kept asking for my apt number even though I told her 4x. She also told me to look for it myself because she cant find it. Theres also this 5-year resident parking. Its hard to find parking after certain hours and most 5-year parking spaces are empty. Very noisy too during certain hours due to Sea World or hospitals or whatnot.

I’m so excited to move into the beautiful Tara Vista Apartments’s in 25 days! I did an extensive search for an apartment and read many reviews... but I found this gem thru Victoria at Apartments NOW! Victoria took me to meet Sally at Tara Vista and after the tour I was hands down sold on living here. It’s a beautiful, quiet complex that is clean and very well maintained. It’s just minutes away from great restaurants and shopping. Perfect location for me. Sadly Sally was moving a few days after I met her but Faith took over where Sally left off and I could not be happier. These three girls have been extremely helpful and have all went above and beyond. They were able to answer any questions I had and didn’t get annoyed if I called many times with new questions lol. For the most part I was always able to get them on the phone and if I couldn’t I received a call back in minutes. The process was a breeze! I could not be happier and I am anxiously looking forward to being a resident and spending many years at Tata Vista!!!

If I could give this place negative stars I would. This is what happened to me - 12/22 i made first contact with Taravista - I had a move out date with another home i was renting by February 1st, however since I knew I would be on vacation then on business travel during the month of January (on and off) I wanted to get a head start on leasing an apartment/apartment hunting. During our visit to Taravista and viewing the apartment on 12/22 - we were offered Apartment #622 with the promise of providing upgrades to that unit( wood plank floor, new cabinets, & upgraded stainless steel appliances) - I signed an application the following day on 12/23 along with providing the admin fees & rental deposit. I received an email from Sally stating her boss Janice had approved holding/upgrading the apartment 622 for my move in date of 1/26. On 12/23 at 5 in the afternoon I received an email from Sally stating my application had been accepted and that she would follow up with me so that i can go and sign the lease for apt 622. January 4th (after me calling several times since to sign the lease) Sally called me to let me know that she needed a few more verifications before getting another aproval from the manager Janice. On Tuesday, January 9th Sally contacted me to let me know that she has all the paperwork ready of rme to sign. I met with her on thursday 1/11 ( seeing that i had to request time off to meet with her) to sign the lease. During the week of MLK 1/14 i was out on vacation - she called me on 1/15 to let me know that the apartments ran out Funds and they were not able to accommodate the upgrades that they promised to get me to sign the lease. I quickly called her while i was on vacation to let her know i was out of town but as soon as I arrived I would see her on Friday of that week ( i arrived home Thursday night). I met with her on Friday 1/12 and she was apologizing left and right then offered to show me apartments that already had upgrades which led us to apartment 1127. I was hesitant on signing yet another lease and this happening to me again as i was set to go out on business travel that weekend 1/15. Sally reassured me what happened with the previous apartment would not happen again. Because she did not have the lease papers ready for apart 1127 i went back on Saturday to sign the papers . She then sent me an email on 1./19 reassuring me everything was in the system and ready to go by my move in date. on 1/25 - one day before my move-in date Sally contacts me via email to advised me that the apartment was rented out to another person ( A Saudi Arabian Miliatary person). In her email she states and I quote I wanted to update you on the unit for #1127, I’m so so sorry that I was not able to keep you all into that unit due to a gentleman already having paid the deposit a while back but due to Jeana being sick she was not able to put it into the system. . I was livid - i didnt even get a courtesy of a call it was all via email - i called her bak on and went into the office that same day on Thursday. I remember it so clearly considering I had a flu and had to be going through this nightmare. I was there for what seemed like 2 hrs - The manager & assistant manager were avoiding me at all costs and not even wanting to give me eye contact. Now they cant say they were busy because there were no clients in the office. 1 resident came in and the assistant manager stepped out to give her donuts but she didnt bother to talk to me. Sally offered her sincerest apologies and stated they would only refund my deposit but not the admin fee. I then advised Sally that I wanted to speak to her manager and she begged me not to because she didnt want to lose her job for something her assitan manager caused. I then advised that i would seek legal action and thats when Sally Cobos offered to refund me the admin fees from her own pocket and that she would get the refund from the Taravista apartments. That day never came- I am still pending my refund which they are reluctant to give.

Noisy. The neighbor on one side is SeaWorld so during normal hours, you can hear screaming guests on the roller coasters, and during off hours, you can hear the animals like seals constantly. Plus SeaWorld always does Fireworks on the weekends during the summer and other holidays directly over this property. Plus this property is located near at least three hospitals less than a half mile away, so there are always ambulances and police sirens at all hours going past this property, heard from any side of the complex. On the other side is a middle school (or high school, not sure) which held football games and other outdoor practices and extracurricular activities that you could always hear if you were outside. I found the staff rude, specifically one women is notorious for giving a huge attitude to you once you sign the lease. The males have been known to hit on single females which is one reason I wanted out and left. Additionally I was disappointed how the staff dealt with property concerns like children who were unsupervised and constantly running through the parking lot or stray animals on the property that couldve been a threat to myself and my own pet. Lastly there is a huge Middle Eastern population and one woman was recording people around this community! That doesnt seem threatening.... So between the noise and the staff, etc, there are much better options. I went back to the apartment complex I left, Briggs Ranch. Seriously AVOID THIS AT ALL COSTS! It is the cheapest complex in the area but it is not worth it.
