Love our pool at Carmel! Itβs a great place to spend with family and friends. Spent the entire day this past Saturday soaking up the sun and enjoying the time in the pool. So relaxing βοΈπ Thank you to the staff for maintaining the entire area! Love that I can trust having my granddaughter in a clean pool! ππΌ
Loved the apartments, but your breed restrictions suck. Goes to show what kind of people own/work here
Very disappointed at this property. Went in on Saturday 9/11 to inquire about a 2 bedroom. The guy working there seemed nice enough, but when I asked if I could view an apartment, he said sure, but do you mind if I use the restroom first? I said sure thinking he only had to go number 1, so I sat there waiting, and waiting, and waiting. I decided to make a cup of coffee to only be surprised when I opened toinsert the packet that it was full of baby roaches. It had now been almost 20 min and the guy still hadnt returned. So I went into his desk, grabbed my ID and left. If they had raches in the coffee maker and the customer service was this bad from the get go, it is definitley not a place I want to live. Id give it a zero if I could.
To be clear I do not yet reside in the complex; but am reviewing the process of getting an apartment here.AMAZING!I did schedule an appointment online, which had some communication issues so was missed (by me!). Even though I had stood them up for a scheduled tour on a weekend when I went to meet with a person on the following Monday, they were super helpful and understood how the communication got muddled.I worked with Valeria as my main point of contact, she gave me the tour answered all my questions; took time to show me more than one apartment though Id only originally asked to see one. She was super friendly, and nice throughout. The application process was a breeze, they communication was good and they turned around the application quickly. I had a hiccup with the login (evidently technology and I are not working well this week) and had to go in to pay the fees for application. Ellen and Laura were both super helpful, and friendly when I went in to do this.Overall the staff and experience was top notch; and I cant wait for my move in date!
Iβve I could give this place ZERO stars. The management never answers the phone or returns emails. The maintenance staff is awesome! The management is HORRIBLE. The manager wonβt even come out of her office to talk to you sheβll just tell from her office. The only nice and helpful management is Valeria. I DO NOT recommend these apartments. We transferred to a diamond upgraded apartment and it is FAR from it. Paint spot all over the wood floors, door frames chewed for previous over owning pets, lights and outlets donβt work. Very dirty. WORST MANAGAMENT EVER!
1/4/2020 New management is awful. This new property manager is a power hungry individual who wants to manage the apartments like a dictator. Instead of focusing on how loud people play music in their cars, how about fixing the boiler and restoring hot water?
It is my second year living here it is good, the new management is great they are really working in everything and if you need anything they help you quickly, it is a quiet and good environment in these apartments
Moving here was a big mistake, but I had to for my job at the time. I moved out back in November, and am extremely glad I did. When I first saw Carmel, I loved the treehouse look. Naturally, I scheduled a walkthrough. The leasing specialist did not have a 1-bedroom unit to look at, so she decided that taking me to a 2-bedroom unit and closing one of the doors would suffice. I liked that look, so I signed the lease. They even were allowing me early move-in. Now, there were a couple of things that became apparent upon move-in:1. The unit had not been remodeled. I was guaranteed (as I was signing the lease) a unit that had new carpet as well as hard floors near the front door. My unit had old-matted carpet and no hard floor outside of the bathroom and kitchen.2. Appliances and cabinets were old. The refrigerator had rusty areas.3. The bathroom counter was stained with a cracked cabinet foundation.4. The make-ready was not good. I found hair, old cotton swabs, old make-up containers, etc. I had to wipe down the refrigerator and oven myself.5. The walls were very thin. You always heard showers.6. The complex only has one entrance and one exit. That is a safety hazard. It soon became apparent that my A/C unit was not keeping up with the rising temperatures of Texas. You could tell it was old. I called the leasing office and had them send out maintenance repeatedly. Nothing they did worked. It soon got to a point where my electric bill was steadily rising because the A/C was not cycling. I organized a meeting with the apartment manager who ended up calling in the lead maintenance man to listen. As I finished up saying what was going on with the A/C, the maintenance man smirked and chuckled. I asked if it was funny to him, and he said yes. The apartment manager had to call an outside company to investigate. They could not find anything wrong outside of cleaning my outside A/C unit. The toilet always took multiple flushes for everything to go down. I had to call maintenance to snake the toilet and clean the weep holes multiple times. It never flushed like a normal toilet. The apartment dumpster in my section of the complex, the middle, was always full. There was everything from garbage to pieces of furniture. It made Carmel look very trashy. Then, there was the parking. After 5 PM, it was virtually impossible to find a parking spot in my section. Yet, the front and back had parking spots galore.Communication was bad. If the water had to be turned off for as repair, tenants were not told until the day of. One example was a simple water heater repair taking multiple days because they had to order a part. Tenants were told the repair would be only be a day. The leasing office staff was a constant revolving door. You are told that you will receive an email every time the office receives a package for you. This was not true. About 50% of the time, I would have to call and ask if I had any packages. The front gate was broken a lot, and there was never any communication stating that it was. After I had moved out, I received a final bill from the Carmel at Deerfield. This was weird because I had paid the final months rent. I called up the leasing office and was told that I had damaged the carpet. I had taken pictures before I left, and the carpet was still matted and old. You could also notice the damage. It was normal wear and tear from high traffic areas. I was billed $300 and told that they were only willing to do a pay plan that consisted of 2 payments. The bill also stated that if I did not make these payments as quickly as they wanted, then they would send me to collections I ended up calling the leasing office and was connected to the Assistant Manager. She was very rude to me. I was not allowed to explain my side. She even went as far as hanging up on me because I can call her back on Tuesday. I filed a BBB complaint with Carmels management company Harbor Group Management. I no longer owe these people anything.
Having issues with the ac for months now. I have a baby & they havenβt fixed the issue. The main manager is nice & also the ladies who work . I hope he understands . I need people to know why a 1 star. I also didnβt lk how the gate is always broken. The sinks in the bathroom leak all the time . I hope they let me cancel ASAP. I have until Aug 31. I donβt want to pay $1,300 more or less if nothing can never be fixed. π
So when I first moved here there were some ups and downs, but since the new staff and management came in especially Kiotti have been incredibly helpful. Thank you guys for all the quick responses and help.
Moved in on 12/21/19. Was offered a deal of $500 off first month rent.Paid my prorate for the 11 days between 12/21 and 1/1 of $262.23Current balance as of 1/1 is $684.80. No $500 off like I was offered. Will not recommend moving here
Been here 9 months, the staff are great, the neighbors are friendly and quiet, the pool area and grounds stays well kept, and the squirrels are funny!
The office staff are wonderful, helpful and very friendly. The apartments are older but nice. Workout room is nice and clean. Community is great and safe and location is wonderful and no problems with crime. Maintenance staff is on the ball and very respectful. Great service for the price and the reviews were better than other which is why I chose this place and I made the right choice. Going to upgrade to a two bedroom soon and plan on staying for a long time.
I just resigned my lease, here. This place is great. Safety and cleanliness are top two on my priority list and this place offers both. Itβs somewhat secluded from the road and in a very safe, quiet neighborhood. If I need anything fixed or checked out, itβs generally taken care of, same day. They are always doing upkeep on the property. Not to mention, the office and maintenance staff are great. Super friendly and helpful(even after you sign the lease).
Apartment tried to charge bogus cleaning fees upon move out. The apartment was cleaned from top to bottom before moving out and then they sent me a cleaning bill. They claimed the carpet was dirty, have a dip where the bed wheel was at and it needed to be stretched. It appears to be a routine scam by the management company. Avoid this place and any place managed by Greystar.
I took my stars back
I highly recommend these apartments. I lived there for 6 years, and for the affordable price and location you cant beat it. The staff was always friendly thank you and courteous, and attended to my needs immediately. These apartments are quiet and peaceful. I always felt safe. Out of 6 years, I can only think of maybe 2 or 3 problems, and the staff was fast to respond and meet my needs. A great place to call home!
I have been a resident at Carmel for a couple of years now and I enjoy being here. My apartment space is very cozy and the staff is great! Roxanne is sweet, Aaron is pleasant, and Erik is kind. Maintenance is quick to fix things.
Very quiet and comfortable place to live! Great location and the staff is so helpful and pleasant. Jessica and Kiotti are so awesome and helpful!!
The staff is really great here. Unfortunately there are some current residents, that think itβs okay to break into other peopleβs cars. Other than that this place is cool. However this is a pretty big problem to deal with.
I have lived here since March and I absolutely LOVE it! Maintenance is fast and courteous when they come in, and its super easy to put in requests.Ive never had any problems with management or anyone in the office for that matter. Roxanne, Aaron, and Erik are all friendly and professional. Ive never had a better experience with any front office. Even before I moved in.I had planned on moving here a year ago, but unforeseen circumstances hindered that. But Roxanne remembered me when I came back in after that lease was up and they actually had the perfect apartment for me.Seriously, give this place a chance. Its in a great location, inexpensive, and most of all... quiet.***Update: moved out in May of 2018, and now they are under new management. But it still seems very affordable, and Iβm sure they would still make a nice home.***
I love it here!! As a first time apartment owner, Aaron has been helpful every step of the way. Iβve been here for a year now. The community is also very quiet and neighbors are so nice. My only complaint is when I had vandalism on my car from outsiders, the cops asked me to get the security tapes front the office, when I asked I was told they donβt work. So why have them?? This is an important safety issue. Other than that Iβve never really had any other problems here.
As a prospective resident who wanted to move into these apartments, my experience trying into get into one was the worst. Dont get me wrong, Aaron is incredibly professional and extremely nice, but it seemed like no matter what he was not interested in getting me into the apartment I needed. What happened was that I first looked here back in July when I needed an apartment and I was looking at the A1 since that was the cheapest and the one I really needed. He unfortunately didnt have one in the time available. When I was looking for an apartment again in November, he unfortunately didnt have one but I gave him my information and he texted me telling me there was an apartment available. One big problem I had was the one-sided communication I had with him. After showing incredible interest to the apartment telling him I needed it by the 21st of December, all he was able to show me was one of the other models. The biggest problem I had with this whole process is that for an expensive looking complex, there were no model apartments whatsoever, and I wanted to look at the A1 before signing anything, and he told me once the apartment was cleaned up after the tenants moved out, I could view it. Unfortunately, one of the tenants apartments had flooded and they had temporarily moved said tenant to the apartment I wanted to view, and he told me he would get back to me, even though I told him I had to be moved in by December 21st. That was over a week and a half ago, and even after finding my own apartment, which I never told him about, he still never got back to me. Overall, the one-sided communication and seemingly lack of interest in actually getting me into the apartment is what turned me off especially considering I wanted to move into the apartment, but fortunately another complex was available and they were able to show me the apartment I needed the same day and I signed the lease. If youre expecting to move in here, dont expect much communication from the staff because I rarely got it, and frankly, after viewing the apartments, I would most likely view somewhere else because they werent worth as much as they were asking for in rent.
Leased here for one year. Would have stayed, but needed to be closer to school and work. I had an amazing experience here and Aaron was always very respectful and attentive to my needs! Maintenance was always in a timely manner and the property is nice and clean. I definitely recommend!
New to the community, but this place already meets my most important criteria: quiet neighbors, attentive/respectful staff and clean units/facilities. From start to finish, Aaron and his staff made my move a breeze by providing thorough information and by being super responsive via phone & email correspondence. Many kudos!
I have been living here for a couple of months now and I am beyond happy i made this choice to live here, everyone is courteous and the place is nice and very clean, even better would be the office staff that lets me know by email whenever I have a package and maintenance requests are always responded in a timely matter :)
I pay pest control for my apartment walls to be completely infested with rodents. I am being exposed to diseases and parasites being carried by them, therefore its unsafe to even be living here. Ive been trying to have this fixed for TEN MONTHS. Do not recommend.
If you are a single female looking to rent an affordable apartment in a super safe and enjoyable environment look no further. Another resident has complained recently through review about the poor customer service but I find that hard to believe. I have lived here three and a half years and havent had any issues whatsoever. The residents in my complex are respectful and super friendly and the management team ( Roxann and Aaron) are prompt with taking care of any issues that arise. The complex also has holiday pool parties which always results in a big turnout of residents which Ive found to be a fantastic way to get to know your neighbors. Overall I highly recommend Carmel and will definitely be staying put for a long time to come.
I think these apartments are GREAT! The dog park is awesome and the weight room are super. The pool by far is really cool. Only thing is the HOT TUB.... Someone please fix it. For as much money the apartment community pays monthly they could afford to fix this issue. I would rate this place 5 stars....just fix that hot tub. Its embarrassing to have friends over and it doesnt work. CARMEL FIX THIS PLEASE!!!!!
I went to Carmel at Deerfield in search of an apartment for my dad. After a day of searching and looking at at least a dozen apartments we were exhausted and I didnt feel good about any of them due to my dads visual disabilities. After being displaced a couple years ago due to the Wedgewood fire the last thing we wanted to do is get him into a place that we were uncertain about. After be greeted by Aaron so graciously and all of his help, his patience with our million questions and his impeccable professionalism we knew this was the place for my dad. My daughter and I left excited and at peace. It was love at first site with this complex and surroundings. After all that we didnt think it could get any better. Aarons communication made everything effortless and the whole process took less then 24 hours. We are excited to get my dad moved in to his permanent home. Thank you again Aaron, we appreciate you!- Cassondra & MichelleEdit***my poor elderly blind dad. Though the staff is GREAT, the apartments themselves are invested with roaches, they say they come out and spray however, the problem is much much bigger than a simple spray. I am so glad we got him out of there!!!
I visited Carmel at Deerfield apartments because of its great location. I really liked how the apartments are kept really clean and neat. The staff was super helpful and patient with helping me find the right apartment for me. Roxanne and Aaron the two employees there are great. I plan to return when my lease is up in Jan.
I was looking for a new apartment closer to school and a friend recommended Carmel at Deerfield. When I walked into the office I was immediately greeted by Roxann and Arron. They were by far the most professional and courteous Leasing Agents I have ever dealt with. They made me feel at home instantly. Needless to say, I move in to my new home on 9/5/2017.
Ever since I came across this property Iβve had good experiences. A lot of it has to do with the fact Roxann was the consultant that I met and assisted me that day. Her professionalism is great especially because sheβs able to add authentic friendly customer service. Aaron has also assisted me and has always gave me assurance that the reason for my call will be addressed. I really appreciate their level of urgency, professionalism and just being straight up courteous. Aside from that the property is always maintained - maintainence calls are always responded to in a timely manner, the property is quiet. Great job guys!!!
I stopped by the Carmel at Deerfield Apartments off West Bitters and was greeted by Roxann. Not only did she answer all my questions she made me feel at home right away. Once my current lease is up I will definitely be moving here!
Im currently looking for a 1 bedroom apartment I was greeted by Roxann and she was so nice and took her time and showed me an apartment and the property...I visited other apartments in the area earlier that day and by far she was the nicest person. She mad me feel at home Im on the waiting list for my apartment I cant wait to move in. Thank you Roxann and Ill see you soon!!!
Great Location, average prices. But it is not a secure place. My car was stolen from parking lot, some other cars were broken in to. The gate sometimes dont work for long periods of time. The saddest part is when you move out. they tried to charge me for stuff i wrote in the move in assessment along with extremely high cleaning fees so they kept my deposit i had to pay more than 150 dollars on top of that otherwise they will affect my credit.
Great experience from the first day I looked at an apartment. Roxann and Aaron were amazingly helpful and courteous with everything.
Beautiful Oaks welcome you as you enter the grounds of Carmel at Deerfield. They bow in greeting of your arrival...There is something very special about this property that is found only here... Earthy with our own forest at the entrance and a really great dog park! Our office staff new manager Kurt Gilpin, assistant manager Kiotti and leasing agent Jessica..greet you with big smiles making you feel welcome.. And they mean every smile... Head maintenance Tony ( very nice) is no stranger to Carmel at Deerfield having been here several years and new maintenance Shorty ( I call him Sunny because he smiles so much) our maintence staff are quick to fix any problem for you so you are all set..Neighbors are very friendly while still respecting privacy..Apartments are warm and cozy while at the same time have tons of storage space!! Every apartment has a patio for decorative plants!Plus we have a really nice gym for workouts! You will feel like family at Carmel.I have lived here 6 years and guess what? I still have a lot of the same neighbors who were here when I moved to Carmel..Honestly the staff we have now, both office and maintenance are the best everβββββ
Awesome Team in the office all ways nice and the office is spot clean. maintenance C3ewu always on time and friendly.
I have been to many apartments to see if I would like any of them and then I made an appointment here at Carmel with Aaron and he made me feel welcomed. I like how these apartments felt and how the staff treated me, so I made a decision to rent here.
This is an awesome community with amenities like a dog park, tennis court and pool / grill area. Not only this but the leasing staff is super friendly and helpful. Shoutout to Roxann for being extra awesome!!
We have lived here going on 4 years now and it has been one of the most plesant experiences ever. Whenever we need help or have an issue the staff are always quick to jump on it and support us however weve needed. The current building we live in has residents who have lived here for over 20 years and we hope to one day be saying the same.
I must say that I had the most successful experience when I visited Carmel at Deerfield. All the staff, including Roxann were very knowledgeable in these apartments and now that Ive seen these, I know I am making the right choice to move in as soon as my lease is over at my current apartments... Keep up the AWESOME JOB Roxann and other staff... See you guys soon. :)
Doesnt care about the tenants. Does not fix things in a timely matter
Moved here with my husband as a newlywed, so far we have no complaints.. Everything is working good. I really like this apartment, its such a cozy ambiance, a resort style, love the pool and hot tub and the area is really great, away from traffic but very convenient through shops and dining, HEB is just 5mins away. Our apartment is kinda tight but we just chose the 2nd to the smallest sq ft for our budget.A little hard to find a parking late at night though. I just wished they have an attached garage. It would really be perfect! But I suggest this apartment for your first time move-in.
Great place to live! The staff is very friendly and very detail oriented I highly recommend this complex.
Best pool party ever...food was great, and our Carmel hosts were awesome.
I have lived in this apartment complexes four years The staff is not responsive with damages I have a crack toilet and yet has not been fixed also damages Such as holds in the ceiling animals living in the roof people fighting. The apartment complex is over 30 years old and yet has no renovated appliances also people breaking into the mailboxes Its overpriced and undervalued I would not recommend living in these apartments. Roxanne Salinas, Aaron, and Sonia are not worthy taking to. I strongly would not recommend any consumer renting from the Carmel apartments on the grounds of poor customer service and undervaluing what people pay for.
I have friends that live here and they havent had hot water in 5 days.....
No security. .they still my tires off my car and the manager dont care. They are about 7 car damage in less one week. Gate dont work for 3 week and we still waiting to the office decided to take cara. We pay high rent for nothing. Manager antisocial we the peoples. Very sad.
Good place but very old!No bubbles in a jacuzzi, dirty
Lived here for a year. Had fun, met great people, and loved the staff.
Beautiful place
Carmel has friendly neighbors.
