Omar has done an excellent job ensuring our transition to our transfer apartment has gone smoothly for our move in date today!Ashley has done a great job dealing with her manager to ensure I’m happy with the new apartment, especially since Covid affected my lungs being asthmatic and body, it really has taken a toll on my body being slow and not as strong as before.Thank you Omar and Ashley, you two have done an absolutely wonderful job! I came in on a Saturday and Diana went the extra mile to scan and submit my application for assistance when I told her that I didn’t have a scanner at home.. I really appreciate that.On the other hand my car was towed last night 8/10/2021.. KEN in the office said because it was parked in a handicapped/ no parking spot that was CLEARLY marked .. I walked him out and showed him where I parked he said it has “stripes” to prevent parking .. when I mentioned how the parking lot was being repaved and that I guess it was to get visible signage he began to go back and forth with me how there is a ramp there to prevent parking .. .. instead of him saying he can see how the stripes aren’t quite visible and apologize for the inconvenience he chose to want to argue with me ./ definitely moving once my lease is up!! And oh there is a car parked in the same spot NOW always is!! Where this clear VISIBLE stripes!! Notice how easy it is to park there and still not block the ramp!

We love our complex! The floor plans are spacious and have no carpet! There is a pet area, 2 pools and a yoga/workout room! Plus they have an Amazon Hub to be sure our packages are always safe! It’s a lovely place to call home!

Frustrated at this point would be an understatement. I submitted a work order for a broken faucet in my shower on 08/23/21. It has yet to be addressed. I cant take a shower. Me and my almost 6 foot tall son have had to take baths for the past 3 weeks, which is not the most ideal way to get clean. I call and nobody ever answers the phone, I leave a voicemail nobody follows up, I send an email and nothing. My apartment is in horrible condition that I have pretty much given up on calling in for repairs at this point and am just waiting for my lease to be up so I can leave. Paying over $1000 a month for a unit that has holes in the ceiling, water dripping from ceiling from unit above, tub peeling again, walls separating, flooring coming up from sitting water outside the building that took months to address and roaches everywhere. Maintenance did enter the unit on 08/31, which I could see on indoor camera, but were in unit for less than 5 minutes, left and never returned. I also have a dog who I have been leaving in one of the bedrooms since I submitted this work order so they are able to enter while I am at work. It is super inconvenient. I am a pretty patient person, but at this point my patience has run out and now I am just mad. I pay my rent on time, which is about all they care about. Do not move here. Plenty of other apartments in the area.

Please do not move here. I promise you this place is low budget trash. Want your car broken into? Got it. Strangers walking up to your car at night with a flashlight to see if “your safe” got it.Neighbors with like 5 untrained barking dogs waking you up everyday? Got it. Cold water for 2 weeks? Yup. A lot of roaches here? Ofc. Garbage everywhere and overflowing the can? You bet.There’s more stuff to name but I don’t have the time. Hope this review can save someone the trouble (:

Avoid living here at all costs. Since day one our ceiling leaked on us from upstairs kitchen and bedroom and bathrooms. Maintenance takes months to address and Mgr Ken doesn’t take responsibility for the actions of staff when they “completed” work orders despite never stepping foot in the apt. His response “now wait a minute, I’m not the one completing these work orders.” Well Ken, ur the manager therefore U are responsible for what goes on in ur office. Ken said we’d be ok to turn in keys 3 weeks early due to the gross negligence of the ceiling leaking everywhere. This after leaving 6 work orders open from July 22 to Sept 10 when they started clearing the work orders as “completed”. And when it came time to turn in the keys as we had agreed, he says “Regional won’t allow u to leave early. ” EVEN THO the kitchen cabinets are warped from water damage, cabinet missing from master bathroom because of water damage and flooring warped because of AGAIN WATER DAMAGE. We had water from unknown sources stream on us every day for a whole month (above toilet) before Ken finally had someone make their way to check it out. 3 weeks later the water seeped through their patchwork and started again. They’re so quick to bill u for full rent but don’t abide by their contract to maintain apartment in a timely manner. Shippy properties owned the location I lived prior to the summit (Indigo) and we had the EXACT same issues. I’ve been billed for so many charges that are of no fault of my own but got stuck paying so they wouldn’t mess up my credit. MORAL OF THE STORY, AVOID SHIPPY PROPERTIES, They just want ur money not the responsibility of taking care of their tenants. Today I got a bill for 1800$, charging me for all of October rent (my lease “officially” ends on the 6th) and month to month leasing fee (160$) along with carport and pet fees and can’t forget the 160$ water bill that my neighbors only paid 80$ for. We moved out Sept 21 and are getting billed for all of October, even though they already have the apt sold. Regional said today that my early move out was not justified despite the severe water damage and warped and missing cabinets. They never had an issue with taking my full months rent even though we lived a whole year with flooding and leaking ceilings. Corporate doesn’t return calls and regional only contacts Ken when I leave voicemails so he can deal with me and that in itself is annoying cause Ken will tell you one thing and the rest of the office and corporate will tell you the complete opposite.

Diana is a lifesaver! When I could not get a hold of anyone at my property for an ac emergency(Starclub) I was desperate and decided to call a sister property. Summit apartments came up first on my search, and Diana picked up IMMEDIATELY! I explained that I was sitting outside my apartments office, over an hour after it was supposed to be open, and that my apt temp was 96 degrees since last night. Explained there was no longer an emergency number, and no one was on property. Diana assured me she would try to help, and thats exactly what she did! She contacted Lead maintenance to see who could assist me. She called me back promptly, to let me know Antonio with maintenance, was en route to my property! Not only did she go ABOVE AND BEYOND when she definitely didnt have to.... She also followed up with me to make sure everything was taken care of! Thank you again Diana! The Summit residents are blessed to have someone like you in their corner!!!

I love my new home!! I started looking for apartments pretty early so I could have everything figured out come move time. I dealt with someone in the office who is no longer there. I was told a lot of wrong information but had already signed the lease. The apartment # was wrong, the deposit amounts, move in date, so I was stressed to say the least. When I stopped by a week or so before moving in to touch base with the office and learned all of the mistakes, I spoke to the office manager about everything going on. He was very apologetic and did everything he could to make things right, and he did just that! We moved in with no problems to a very clean apartment. There was a few things moving in that needed attention, I put a work order in through the portal and they came the next day to fix them. We have been here two months and have no complaints as far as the apartment or management, they have been great! The only complaint would be people not picking up theirs dogs poop at the dog park, but management can’t really control that. I would highly recommend these apartments, we have had a great experience so far!

I would rate zero stars at this point if I could. We have put in so many work orders for a leak in the ceiling of our master bathroom. Part of the ceiling is falling down and now we have black mold growing in several areas of the bathroom. The apartments have done nothing. Its been going on for almost 3 months. At this point they are putting our familys health at risk and that is unacceptable. We should not have to pay to stay at a hotel or somehwere else due to their negligence. First phot was after a month then there are a few more recent. I still need to take updated photos of the damage and will update once I do!

This is an extremely poor property. My bedroom light hasnt worked in a month. They never have maintenance technicians to complete work orders and when it comes to talking with the management team they never know when things will get done or when there gonna get help. Their dog park is never cleaned out. Its a landfill of dog poop and apparently their unable to reorder dog bags for residents to clean up after themselves. Dont waste your money.

We have recently gotten a new Manager and the team is amazing! A very professional but stern email was sent today about children causing some problems in the community but they are fixing it. Also lots of fun stuff in the front office! Residents can get free cereal and pie, lots of popcorn and cookies, they switch it up often. Love it here! Very happy with how things are turning out.

Don’t move here rude management refused to help me when inwent to ask them a question about how to work the website and the property has trash and cigarette butts everywhere they never empty out to doggy trash bins so the poop overflows constantly and the maintenance men literally took three weeks to fix my bathtub faucet, they’ve literally sent me an eviction notice the first day my rent was past due and the apartments are old have water damage and dirty looking right from moving in

My fiance and I have lived here for a little over 2 months now and we love it! Maintenance is quick to respond and fix things, Tori welcomed us with open arms and a smile, very inviting! They allow dogs of all breeds which was awesome to find. Great place for kids as there is a big fenced in playground and a pool. We love it here!

The apartments are ok I’ve been here over a year and have renewed my lease for one more year but I think after this lease is up we will be moving out. The management is nice and help out anyway they can during this pandemic and helped me move for my 2/1 to a 2/2 .I have to mention that even tho there is 2/pools and a gym they are never open for use the pools were closed early do to unsupervised children being Destructive and as well as the gym that I would love to use but it seems never to be open . It’s just very irritating that we pay and don’t have access to these things.

I have lived here for 3 years. I have had minimal complaints about my experience here, even though there has been turnover in the office staff as well as in the management company. I would like to recognize the assistant manager Tori, for going above and beyond in helping me transition from a 2 bedroom to a 1 bedroom. She was very upfront and communicative throughout the process, and answered every question that I had. She is awesome at what she does!

Today I had to do a delivery for one of the residents for building 12 I went to the landlords office I stand outside of the door and because I did not put my mask back on even though I was outside of the door and more than six feet away from Diana she was rude she was argumentative and she would not tell me were building 12 was no customer service the residents of that building was apologizing to me for her attitude which that should not have happened the maintenance man was apologizing on her behalf it is appalling that you have someone working like that for you its appalling that you have your residence and your coworkers apologizing on your management Diana I feel that that is very sad

If I could give less stars I would. by far one of the worst places I have lived in. They have switched management multiple times and it never gets better. The only employee they had that cared about residents was Chris, but he no longer works here. Chris went above and beyond to help me. The maintenance team is actually finally a decent crew, Jay really tries to get all the work orders done fast and efficiently. The crime here is horrible. They have a “security” but it’s just a car that drive through the property not really doing much. Both my cars have been stolen from the property, my car has been in a hit in run while parked on the property. Multiple drug dealers, I was almost run over by a car that was here buying drugs from someone in building 17. But still no cameras or gates have been installed to better protect the residents. I’ve tried to buy out of my lease, and just recently I sent a msg trying to get moved to a different unit but never get a response, they sent multiple texts a day about food trucks but cannot reply to emails... love the location as it is close to my sons’ school and my job, but I do not see myself renewing my lease a second time.-saw another review about it taking a dryer three months to be fixed, that’s almost exactly how long it took to fix mine no matter how many times I told Tori she didn’t care, Chris finally helped me and even came and installed it himself.

I have been here since July and at first I was nervous because the ratings but I love it the play ground is so much fun for the kids and it’s so dog friendly l. We have to Huskies and finding an apartment was hard my two babies love it. The dog park is an extra bonus.

UPDATE 5 (3/28/2021): Our ceiling is leaking in several places, likely due to ongoing plumbing issues that have been lazily “repaired.” At least our washer doesn’t smell like sewage anymore, since the plumbing was previously backing up everywhere it could(toilets, bathtubs, sinks). I cannot wait to move out, and I highly recommend any prospective renters look elsewhere for a place to live. Also be wary of positive reviews with photos of an empty apartments, they’re from staff working here (not actual residents).UPDATE 4 (11/03/20): Since the last review, our experience has been negative for a few reasons:- Maintenance needed to cut a large hole in our bedroom drywall to fix a shortcut Shippy made during the renovations (cutting several electrical wires to make things look nicer, meaning our internet cable and two electrical sockets were not functional). The hole hasn’t been repaired in almost a month.- Apparently the walls/floors are pretty thin. We can hear our upstairs neighbors constantly walking, running, and stomping around most hours, which makes it difficult to work from home and sleep.Also, Shippy is requesting tenants leave five-star google reviews in exchange for a chance to win food. This seems pretty immoral to do to possible lower income families during a pandemic. It’s also a possible violation of the FTC guidelines of the tenants don’t provide a disclosure of the bribe in their reviews. Either way, prospective residents should keep this in mind when reviewing recent, and possibly past, five-star reviews.UPDATE 3 / REPLY: No, our experience has not improved much, and we feel the three star rating is on the generous side.Pros: Chris has been very responsive and helpful in resolving the issues we’ve found, which was particularly beneficial after we stopped hearing from our original point of contact (Tori). The complex also brings food trucks out about once (sometimes twice) per week, which is convenient and fun.Cons: Despite the Shippy’s efforts at pest control (i.e., spraying doors and windows), we still find 2+ roaches per day inside our apartment unit, in addition to the ones we see outside our unit and in the complex. On a similar note, there’s quite a bit of garbage and broken glass in the complex, which is concerning for kids/pets playing outside.UPDATE 2: Changed the rating to three stars. Big thank you to Chris for helping us take care of the difficulties we encountered during our move-in. The apartment feels more like home now!UPDATE: Changed my rating from two stars to one after finding out the internet cable jack had been cut due to “renovations.” Apparently this was the case in at least two renovated units. I needed to have a specialist from AT&T come out to help me set up internet because of this. When he was working and removed the cover for the wall outlet, a dead cockroach fell out of the wall.We were told maintenance and pest control would come next week to fix the problems we’ve found in our first week living here. I’m happy to update my rating as things change, particularly if they improve soon.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I wanted to leave 3 stars, and my wife wanted to leave 1 star, so 2 stars total seems like a fair rating.Pros:- You can manage your rent payments through their website, which is convenient in my opinion- Hardwood floors and fresh paint- Kitchen design is nice- Near several shopping plazas and gymsCons:- Several things in our apartment weren’t working or missing when we moved in (some electrical outlets, draw rod for blinds)- The patio space in our apartment is not enclosed, which is acceptable, but we were led to believe it was enclosed (based on photos of other units)- Some things that could have been cleaned were just repainted (showers, bathroom sinks)- We’ve been here three days and have already found three roaches in/near our apartment- Dog poop bag stations aren’t maintained (no refills on bags, smells like the poop hasn’t been emptied)- Dog park area isn’t well maintained either (many cigarette butts and broken glass, also saw roaches in there)

I have to brag on Jay the Lead Maintenance. The only time I have work orders that are completed its Jay who is taking care of it. He is the most friendly and the only person that cares about my needs as a resident. I have called multiple times for maintenance issues and not till I escalate it and the Lead comes out is anything done. Jay is the best and there needs to be more staff as focused on taking care of us, residents, like he does.I wish I could give him a 5 star!!!! I am not giving the entire apartment complex those stars.That being I am extremely disappointed in everything else. I will be calling corporate offices to discuss my other experiences.

This apartment gives absolutely no notice of your move in date being delayed until you show up from a different city (with loaded vehicles in tow) to pick up your keys on what was supposed to be your move in date. They literally had an entire month to complete the make ready. They felt that giving $200 off the first months rent would suffice and cover the expenses of the additional days we had to rent the uhaul and the hotel we would have to rent for the 2 extra days they needed to complete the apartment. I was PROMISED by Tori that the apartment would definitely be ready by 3PM with the 2 additional days I gave them, and that she would notify me when it was ready. Ive grown quite accustomed to her way of notifying people at this point, meaning that there is NEVER any updates or notifications from her. When finally able to get the keys to my apartment, it should not have been that big of a shock to find that the apartment STILL was not ready.. It took yet ANOTHER month to get the work order inventory completed. Issues ranged from minor things such as roach infestations all the way to flooding from an upper apartment leak that led to the slippery algae build up and pond noticed in the pictures. For a brief moment, they hired a manager that actually gave hope to having resident issues resolved in a timely manner. That did not last long. Currently, I have been waiting an entire month for a leak to be fixed which is now leading to water damage and I am now on day 4 of not having a working dryer (even after calling the office and speaking with Tori repeatedly). And the response I received? You guessed it! Ill notify maintenance and let you know when they can get to your apartment. Management never fails to let us know about their referral programs tho! Maybe once the property is actually managed properly, I will take them up on their offers and gladly recommend people to move here.

I am so ThANkFuL to be living at the Summit Apartments. They offer a clubhouse with a fitness center and yoga room, two swimming pools, picnic area with BBQ grills, playground, walking track, and on-site dog park. They make your pet fell very welcome.In these hard times they will work with you and are very understanding. This is the most important thing in these trying times.Apartment # 2214

My mother and I are very thankful n couldn’t be more blessed because we came from Ft. Collins Co the beginning of this year and struggled to find a place we can call home so we lived in parking lots, mountains, rest areas and hotels. Our way back to Texas we worked 24/7 to find the opportunity to find the Summit Apts our brand new home they were very welcoming with open arms of our situation thanks again 😁

I have lived at this complex for 3 years and the complex continues to go downhill. The first year was outstanding. They were on top of everything. The maintenance was great. The pools were always open with nice poolside furnishings. It couldn’t be further from the truth now. Here is a list of things that have occurred my time at the complex:1) My hot water heater caught on fire and almost burned down my apartment in the middle of the night.2) My ceilings have collapsed in both of my bathrooms and broken my $40 shower heads both times (never compensated for either) oh and it was in summer so that meant my A/C bill was over $200 because of all the air that escaped during the 4 days it took them to repair it.3) While sitting on my 2nd story patio I witness someone get shot and possibly killed (not sure how the story ended for that guy).4) The pool near the back of the complex where I live has looked like a swamp on more than one occasion and was able to be used possibly 1 month in total this summer. Not that it matters there’s nowhere to sit down there anyways unless you just want to get in and go back to your apartment.5) Your tires will get “jacked” if you park in the wrong spot I’ve personally seen this happen 5 times.These are just the five things I can name right off the top of my head. Why do I continue to live here you may ask and that’s a fair question. The answer no breed restrictions so in turn for owning a Rottweiler I have to pay $1140 a month for a two bedroom apartment that is a $800 or $900 apartment at best with the current condition and management of the complex. Oh I’ve also been given the runaround for the past two months about replacing my broken dryer unit by Tori the current property manager. She by her own admission is overwhelmed and apparently there’s a regional manager somewhere that makes decisions on literally everything. I signed a new lease and am still getting month to month charges. Phone calls and texts don’t get returned in a timely fashion or if they even get returned at all.I’ve asked for some concessions due to this whole mess of a situation and according to Tori this invisible regional manager whom apparently has no phone or email I can contact them with won’t give a $240 credit for over charged rent for the end of September and October. I literally have a lease stating it was renewed on 9/25/20, but still nothing. I work in retail and I make $240 concessions on the daily for late deliveries or just to make a customer happy so we can get more business. I’ve paid this complex $41,040 over my 3 years it’s indescribable to me how I can’t get $240 that’s owed to me in the first place. I started looking for apartments a few weeks ago. A wonderful lady named Tori reached out to me via text. I explained my situation to her ( kept it upfront and honest with her) she explained to me how I can reach my goal of moving in to the apartments by taking care of certain things prior to applying. Every step of the way we kept in touch, from me just telling her hey I called the collection agency, to hey I made half the payment, to hey its all paid off Im applying this weekend,everytime Tori replied back with an encouraging text. During this time of covid-19 we were able to do everything via online or text, I did get to see the apartments in person tho which was great (the web tour didnt do justice) Anyways I havent moved in just yet but everything seems to be going great. I just want to say to Tori and the rest of the team that may have helped out thank you so much.

As much as I want to love this place I havent had a good experience. The first day I moved in my AC unit was not working. I had to move all my furniture up on the top floor in a apartment that was 87 degrees. The office was aware the AC was not working and it did not get attended to till 5 days later. I also want to add the front office was aware I had a 6 month old baby. I was paying rent for a place I couldnt sleep at because it was too hot for my baby. My washer was also broken when I moved in and I was told it wasnt a priority work order even though I pay $50 a month to rent it from them. Took many phone calls to management to fix and they also seemed very bothered and irritated everyt I would call and tell them I needed my washing machine fixed. Paying $50 a month for a broken washing machine and having to go to a laundry mat and pay extra to wash your clothes is very upsetting. Im assuming it was broken and the work order was never attended to from previous tenant since the AC and washing machine was broken on my move in date. Also had no hot water that took couple weeks for someone to come out. Since than all that has been addressed even though it took awhile. Emergency maintenance is supposedly offered but they wont show up. My ceiling was leaking severely and the team lead maintenance told me he got the text Friday at 6pm but he didnt come to my apartment till Monday afternoon when I had to call them again. My current situation is an unattedant 3 week work order. I have spoken to Tori &Chris at the front office and corporate not once but twice and my work orders submitted online are being cancelled by maintenance instead of them being worked on. If the front office and corporate cant get maintenance out here than at this point its clear who runs the show. My kitchen sink has had a leak and my garbage disposal is broke. My apartment smells horrible for this reason. I also want to add they are aware I have a huge rat in my apartment thats coming from a hole that was made for wires behind my oven, I also have captured a video of it running around in the living room around my babys toys and sent it to corporate but once again no matter the calls or emails sent no one came out to patch it up. I honestly feel let down. Very disappointed being this apartment isnt that cheap. I pay 1,100 a month and have about $80 water bill and my light bill ranges $200 (The AC has to constantly be running because it almost blows nothing out which causes a high electric bill, - yes many work orders been put in and apaprently everything is fine).

I have lived at the summit for a year. I came over from Houston and what a great find. When first moved in there was a transition of staff and things were a little bleak looking. Enter Ms Tori and her crew. Since they have arrived (sorry I don’t know all names) any issues have been swiftly resolved. Also noticed better up keep in the community. We are in different times due to the coronavirus, but they try to do social distancing events and keep the community a community and doing socially responsible things. What’s also been great, yes we were all hit hard finically due to Covid and the team was great working out payments. Would recommend property to anyone looking for a great place to stay. Keep up the great work team glad and happy to be a resident

Since I moved in Ive had problems with the a/c maintenance has come by and every time they say theres nothing wrong with it I find it ridiculous that they cant fix it right. Also the dish washer is broken makes my apartment smell. This is the worst place that I lived in. Cant wait for my contract to end. Dont recommend this place to anyone

Ive never been to an apartment where they care about their residents more than here at Avesta Summit. Very nice property. They offer fully renovated units with washers and dryers included at a price you cant find anywhere else! My favorite thing about Avesta has to be Jo and Jennifer because they always brighten my day and are always willing to go above and beyond to make your day! If youre looking for a new apartment, do yourself a favor and stop by Avesta Summit and see for yourself!

Ive had 7 or 8 work orders for my a/c to be repaired and it still doesnt work. I have 3 kids under 5 and i constantly have to get a hotel because the heat is to hot for them. This is not a good place to live, especially if you have young kids. And theres dog poop every where and it smells bad.

All staff is always friendly and willing to help. Maintenance responds extremely quickly, I love that the most. The apartment itself is great, perfect size for the price. New floors and appliances are a bonus added to the bedroom sizes. Its within walking distance to Larkspur Elementary, which is great for those of us with kids. I really enjoy staying here.

Been here almost 3 years use to be great to live here then we got new Management a few months ago & it went downhill fast! I put in 7 work orders to get my toilet fixed, noisy neighbors, high crime, stolen tires from different vehicles and lately my rent has gone up in the last 3 months. The pool in my area has yet to be open this summer. I pray my car does not get broken into and I cant wait till my lease is up. Fair warning Dont move in here its Horrible & dont think Management care they tell you to call 911!

I moved into my apartment at Avesta Summit in April 2017. It was a very smooth transition. I absolutely love my apartment and I love the location of the apartment. Brooke and Amanda have been amazing for Day 1. I especially love the playground for my daughter. I plan on staying here for a very long time. I moved in before this company took over management, and Im very glad they did. Theyve improved the overall appearance, added a gated playground, and grilling areas. The maintenance crew are generally quick to see to your needs, and the office staff are quick to relay any messages about work going on in the buildings. Great place to live overall.

I have lived at the community for over 3 years and have gone from 3 separate areas of the community. I will say that the office staff is very polite. The leasing agent is very helpful, my only comment is I would like to know the staff better. I also would like to commend maintenance for all of their hard work. My biggest complaint is the residents. The trash can can be overflowing and they insist on putting the trash in front of it. We get memos about dog poop, I don’t walk on the grass, so not my problem. But seriously people need to be smarter about the trash, walk to another dumpster.Another issue I have are these people jumping and breaking the fence. This is a beautiful area and know it is starting to look like Calcutta in winter. I didn’t realize I was living in the hood.

These apartments are horrible, I can’t wait till my lease is up. They don’t fix things especially safety hazards. I send work orders and they go online and mark that they’ve been done when they never even went to my apartment. Mud in parking lot that hasn’t gotten cleaned up all year unless it’s mud in front of the office they clean there everyday. But only that area. The rest gets cleaned maybe every few months. I wouldn’t recommend moving here. Our cars have been broken into several times. During summer only pool that gets cleaned is the one by the office. Gym is a joke also.

Dont expect to get your deposit back. I had to reach out about my deposit for the front office to tell me they took it all because one wall in my apartment was painted blue. I finally got the front office on the phone, and they acknowledged the wall wasnt in fact blue, the lighting in the photo (that they took during our walkthrough) made it look that way. She then emailed me that I still wouldnt be getting my deposit back because my leftover water bills totalled $150?! They couldnt provide proof (as in a bill), and they waited so long they legally had to return my deposit. Once again, she said she would be in contact with me about my deposit, but several phone calls and way too many emails later, I still havent seen or heard anything about the deposit. Its been 3 months.

Our move in experience was fairly rough--we were told certain things over the phone that turned out to not be true and since we were moving from out of state we couldnt come check for ourselves. However, management was understanding and worked to resolve all of our complaints quickly and to our satisfaction. The apartments themselves are VERY nice! Beautiful floors and cabinets and I love the gray color scheme. We are coming up on one year here and will definitely renew our lease for another year. Maintenance is fast and while the staff have their shortcomings, they are really working hard to make this a pleasant and comfortable living situation for all residents.

We moved here at the end of September. We came from a house. Initially the transition was rough as we had not lived in an apartment in a long time. There were some issues which made me feel a sense of inconvenienced. But thankfully the management and office staff brought that sense to a peace of mind. They resolved the issues and accommodated me during the transition. Maintenance is very quick and responsive to work orders. And the communication from the property is excellent compared to others. I definitely recommend this community as it is also peaceful and friendly.

Cant begin to thank the Avesta family for making my home finding experience quick, easy, and exciting. From the very beginning, I was treated with respect and guided with ease through the paperwork, financials and even move in. The community gets more beautiful everyday, thanks to the great and friendly maintenance crew and my family and I really enjoy the pool and grill area. My daughter really loves The park and track area and theres even a huge park just down The street. The location of the apt is perfect because its so close to many shopping, groceries, and food areas right around the corner. I think the best part is how much the staff really care about the people and lives of every resident. They are always doing something at the office to bring the community together, help out a charitable cause, and inform the residents of everything that is happening. I am happy I chose Avesta summit as our home and excited to see what new events they have planned.

Avesta Summit is a wonderful place to live. The staff are always helpful and maintenance is usually on top of things. The upkeep is substantial as there are always upgrades being done and trash being clean up.There are a few apartment complexes in the area so the streets are busy however youll be close to major routes as well as schools and the bus stops.Apartments are modern and appealing to the eye. Spacious for the price youre paying with included washer/drier. Nice place to be.

Great community to live at! They have an Outstanding customer service team. I moved here about 2 months ago and so far the experience has been great. Had some minor issues in my apartment but they were resolved just within a few days. Additionally, my apartment was renovated with new appliances and fresh paint so I was impressed.The community has a nice dog park in which you can walk your dog/cat and lots of green areas. It is always very clean overall and they have a nice pool area with a grill in which you can do barbeque and all that. It is also a gated community day/night and it has an option for covered parking, which is a big deal after the hail storms here in San Antonio.I would for sure recommend this place to new residents looking for affordable and very nice community to live at!

Advertise service calls within 24-48 hours. Almost 2 weeks and no call back or service for clogged garbage disposal. Screen door in the back has been broken since we moved in. Ac unit doesn’t cool below 81 degrees in the summer. Was given the run around on that until I was told by a maintenance worker that they actually need to replace the ac unit since it’s old and can’t keep up with the summer heat. He told me that in August. Spoke to several reps in the front office. Manager was never available and never gave me a call back. Shannon was the worst and always had a terrible attitude. Still haven’t been given an assigned parking spot since I moved in. That was in May and it’s january now. Just keep being told that there’s a waiting list and they will call me as soon as one comes up. Plenty of empty parking spots at night that aren’t used. Now our water heater is starting to act up and that will probably not get fixed either.

There are many repairs needed since the day of move in. None have been done as of yet. Not cleaned before move in. Stove had gnats and mosquitoes coming out of burner area, large hole in cabinets next to refrigerator, fireplace was not cleaned, vent in restroom is covered in dust bunnies, toilet had crack inside, ac / heater closet has large hole and bedroom window has no weather seal leaving a gap all along window and mold in ceiling with water stains.

I have lived in these apartments for 3 years. Once Avesta took ownership, the upgrades started and have not stopped, and while we have opted to stay in our old un-upgraded apartment, we are completely content. The front desk staff (especially Brigitte!) have always done right by me and I feel comfortable going to them with any issues I have and maintenance is quick to help with anything I bring to them. The only downside of this, and really any, complex is people moving in and out and leaving large items near the dumpsters instead of disposing of them properly, but the staff continuously try to prevent and avoid this so I dont hold it against them. I love the location - close to the airport, downtown, medical center, and all of the major highways - you really cant beat this complex.

So far I have had a poor experience. I have roaches in my kitchen Ive swept of roach pods so u know its become an infestation. I currently have been contacting management to fix a leak from upstairs. They took 2 weeks to fix by fix I mean put two huge holes in my wall and call it a day. Ive patiently been waiting for someone to fix patch the holes but no one was come. I reported mold about two days ago and still no one has come. I have children they shouldnt be effected by others lack of responsibility. Pls keep ur children in mind when living in a place that doesnt put them first! DONT MOVE HERE

If you look through the reviews, you will see a lot of the same complaints. Maintenance requests not being completed, complex being trashy, etc etc. Thats pretty common at most complexes, but this one likes to take it a step further. Ive submitted three work orders via the website, called several times (only to get hung up on each time), went to the office and my AC still hasnt blown any cold air at all for almost a month now. Their maintenance form says the issue is an emergency yet it takes up to two weeks for them to come out, if they do at all. They claim its normal for an AC unit to not cool below 20 degrees of the weather outside, ok cool. I dont believe that but Ill except it. Then why is it hotter INSIDE the apartment at 7 AM than it is outside?

DONT MOVE HERE!!!I’ve lived at this complex for 5 years and ever since this Shippy Company took over it’s become a joke to live here. First my water bill has gone up significantly since they took over and they refuse to provide copies of my usage. They gave away my covered parking spot (which I pay additional monthly for) because they “didn’t see anyone parked there” so they leased it to someone else. (My car was in the shop). The front office staff is constantly changing, so you have to repeat yourself all over again when there’s a repeated issue such as my AC. They sent out an email about AC units “If you have your AC set at 70 degrees and it is over 95 out your AC will never cool down to 70, this does NOT mean that your AC is not working”. If I have my AC set at 70 and it does get lower than 85 in my unit we have a problem but apparently this isn’t an “emergency”. Took a week for someone to come out and check my AC. So either they’re short staffed or just don’t give a damn.

Place looks nice office people are nice but the apartment we had, when they had leveled the place the balcony in the front and back cracked, and we live in the highest floor available, the walls everywhere cracked as well, they sent two sets of contractors to fix it but, like a year later it all cracked again, so I dont think that that place is that safe to live in.. It was carpeted and you could feel like peice of plywood always shifting around. .

All my years of renting this is by far the worse!! The old company was much better and were for us renters. The new company are a bunch of money hungry sharks who dont care. First time I ever had to pay for a washer and dryer. Also, $5 per flimsy blind that only cost $0.30 elsewhere. Are you kidding? Property isnt maintained very well. Rude people in the office. DO NOT be fooled! I wouldnt recommend this place to anybody in this entire world!*Update* How about you handle the crimes taking place here?A shooting and stabbing recently and our cars are being vandalized? The dishwasher has never worked for the entire time weve been here even though Im sure we pay for having a dishwasher. The second toilet has to be manually flushed even though theyve fixed it a handful of times. The sinks both leak, but were deemed fine even though everything kept underneath them is ruined. The shower leaked like it was turnd on fully for days. Its expensive, and we pay for broken things that never get dealt with.
