Letty and her new leasing agents have been doing an amazing job since I came to this property. They really put in the hard work and effort to make sure their tenants are well taken care of! On top of that its a beautiful property to live for your new home! Highly recommend! Keep up the great work!

I have lived in a two bedroom here from the opening of this apartment complex. Since changing ownership weeks ago, management (particularly...Letty De Leon) has been terrible. I loved living here for the first 6 months. If you are looking for a more adult atmosphere this is not a good choice. The apartment complex has become much more family oriented and its rare to have peace and quiet in the clubhouse or at the pool. Aside from the difficulties Ive had recently from the poor management, my biggest complaint is that there is zero security on the premise. There is no gate, cameras, or any type of security system and people (non residents) are able to come and go and use the amenities as they please. I payed for 2 covered parking spots and my girlfriends car was stolen once from one of these spots and broken into on 2 separate occasions. I had written multiple emails, filed police reports, and had all but pleaded to have cameras installed. Nothing has been done. Most recently a friend who needed to stay overnight in our second bedroom was towed because the leasing office was closed when he arrived and he was unable to obtain a temporary parking pass. Keep in mind I pay for covered parking to free up normal parking spots for residents and guests. I had to pay $228 out of my pocket to retrieve the vehicle not to mention the headache it caused him (threw his work agenda off for the day...he missed several important out of town meetings). Management refused to reimburse me and told me to review my lease for the parking agreement you signed. They prioritize ping pong tournament emails over sending out a parking violation or tow warnings to residents and guests. There was no warning, there are no signs up that say non permitted vehicles will be towed, or any type of visible regulation/ guidelines for parking. We had to find out the car was towed by walking up to the office and asking them if they had towed it. I will not be renewing my lease here and certainly recommended taking this review into consideration before looking here. If I could leave zero stars I would.

Its a nice luxurious community. However there is one thing that bothers me. Its too bright in evening. There are so many lights all over the place which makes it look very commercial and less homely. Even when the blinds are down my bedroom is lit. But thats my perspective and others might not feel the same. Otherwise its a great community. Secondly the residents dont pick up after their dogs in dog park and it has become do unsanitary and disgusting. But thats on uncivilised resident. The management should take strict action against dog owners. An update there is hardly any parking space if you come anytime after 5-6 pm especially after they constructed the parking shed for paid parking. You might end up parking all the way near last building if you are lucky.

Myself along with other tenants have not enjoyed this complex, very limited parking, bug issues throughout the halls and apartments, when we first moved in, the fridge in the clubhouse would stay stocked but since they’re pretty full now with tenants they don’t keep up with that at all, there aren’t many towels in the gym either anymore, games in the clubhouse are destroyed, management is expecting visitors to carpool since the parking issue is resulting in everyone getting towed. Only two people per apartment allowed in the pool so don’t expect to have visitors over to enjoy the pool. I got my vehicle ran into in the parking lot and of course Vecina didn’t have any surveillance so i had to pay out of pocket for repairs, you’d think with how “luxurious” these apartments are they’d have surveillance especially with the rent price! I messaged the manager of the complex about my vehicle getting hit and she never responded just ignored. Walls are paper thin you can hear literally everything from neighbors, outlets weren’t put on correctly, fans were messed up when we moved in, dog spa looks nothing like the photos on the website. Just save your money!

This place is a total joke! Do not move here. These apartments are cheaply made not only can you hear everything through the walls and ceiling if you play any music just a bit loud your neighbors can hear it and it’s not even that loud. Cheaply made. The front office can be rude and argumentative when bringing issues up to them. God forbid you are late on your rent during a pandemic they will charge you over $200 worth in late fees even if you notify them with a good reason ahead of time. THE PARKING IS RIDICULOUS. They have 8 parking spots for guests at the front office almost a half a mile away from the last apartment, and they expect your guest to park outside of the apartment complex or they will tow your car. They tow at least 5 cars per night, all during a pandemic. They cut the grass and leave trash and debris on your porch. They have zero pest control. Overall these apartments are over-priced. I have yet to meet a neighbor who enjoys living here. I do not recommend

Like all great things in America, these apartments were conceptualized from start to finish to squeeze as much profit as they could by keeping quality low and prices high. They provide the aesthetics of luxury apartment complexes, with marble islands and fun amenities, but fail to provide the tenant with regular amenities such as.......available parking. As an apartment complex that was built by a property management company with more than 50 years of experience, you would assume they would have been able to keep in mind the max occupancy of every unit in addition to visitors for a parking lot layout - they did not. Every night is a race towards the closest parking spot to your building; and the fact that the solution the staff has provided to fix this issue is to tell tenants to have visitors carpool, shows how out of their hands this situation is. Nothing will be resolved until Fogelman, the property management company, does something about it.You would also think electrical issues throughout multiple units wouldnt be a normal occurrence for tenants in this complex, but it unfortunately is. I personally had a plumbing mistake that resulted in water leaking through the drywall which was then poorly fixed.Fogelman clearly laid out these apartments with only profit in mind. It is a very sad thing to realize that this has been a trend throughout the country.

Save yourself the hassle and frustration…do NOT move here! These are extremely low quality apartments at a premium price. I can tell you precisely where all 3 of the tenants above me are in their apartment at any given moment of the day…because you can literally hear EVERY footstep. If one person in the building tries to watch a movie or listen to music, then every person next to them gets to hear that same movie/music.The parking is just plain non-existent…so if you enjoy parking half a mile away or jumping fences to get to your place then the Vecina is for you! Don’t even think about having guests over…it just isn’t going to work.If the bugs, cheap materials, shoddy workmanship, and incompetent staff weren’t enough, they also have the wondrous package room. I, and most of my neighbors, have packages mailed to friends or held at Walgreens because driving across the city is easier and faster than trying to find your package in their mail room.If you’re in the market for an apartment then go to Wiregrass or Sonterra…literally anywhere but here. You’re welcome in advance

This place does not even deserve one star. Let’s see where to even begin. For MONTHS i had problems with my lights in my bedroom turning on 7 plus times a night by themselves. Literally couldn’t never get a goodnights rest bc I would be woken up by this. I called several times to and they never knew how to help me. They had the audacity to say do you want a light or fan in room. I had to either pick being able to see or being hot bc that was the only solution they could come up with. Fast forward to a couple months later maintenance went into my apt with out my consent nor did they leave a notice they went it. The only reason I knew was bc my light switch was changed yet it still didn’t work. I had my rent money laying on my tv stand ($800) and it was gone. I made a police report but the front office handled it so poorly. They have thieves working for them so don’t trust anyone in your apt. Secondly, parking! Parking is straight trash there, no room to park and only have 8 visitors parking spots. I asked where do visitors park if spots are taken they said “Uber or figure it out”. Thirdly, the apartments are cheaply made. You can hear everything through the walls. Front office is extremely hard to get a hold of, they don’t answer the phones. I have a fur baby so I love animals but there is dog poop around the entire complex and smells like it too. Overall the worst experience I’ve ever had at an apartment complex. The management is garbage. Don’t waste your money people please this place sucks!!!

We moved in just over 2 weeks ago and could not be more happy living here. The property and the amenities are wonderful. The apartments are amazing and whoever designed them did a great job. The amount of storage is incredible and the flooring and granite counter tops are beautiful. By far my favorite thing about living here is the view and having the trail behind us for our dog.Even though most of the buildings are still being built, the noise hasnt really been an issue. Any new construction problems have been addressed and fixed the same day. The staff has done an amazing job making sure we are happy here and deserve a big thank you.

This place is impossible to get on the phone. Tried calling them multiple days. Im trying to move from out of state and places like this make it even harder. Then I actually go by and theyre just sitting at their desks not returning messages. Anyways they tell me theres only one parking permit per apartment. So what do I do with our second car? Its a shame companies build nice places and their workers ruin them.

Long story short, this is an unfinished property. Constant construction.DO NOT MOVE HERE UNTIL THEY ARE DONE BUILDING.As a professional working from home, there have been countless days of work impacted due to the volume of construction. The police are also here frequently.. Constant Domestic violence issues right above my unit is terrifying. My door was banged on at 11pm by a complete stranger.. while there was a party going on above me.The noise from upstairs units is unbearable.. this place wasn’t built right..Packages stolen. Unhelpful staff that ignores your calls because they recognize your number. (Im not kidding. They have literally told me they saw me calling and greeted me by name only to ignore my calls when I have a complaint about my safety.)Fliers posted at my door by management about marijuana issues in the building.. and even all kinds of outside companies that have access to come put marketing materials at your door.Or random workers that come put ladders up in front of your unit and leave them there for days.. scary!!This is not a place for families or for single women.I could go on about whats going on here..Management really falls short here in terms of taking care of your safety, making sure their property is secure and addressing serious issues when the police are involved.I cant wait to leave here.

While I was being introduced by Emily and Laura I felt very comfortable and knew that it would be a place to stay and see if had liked it for myself. It really grew on me and I didnt want to search for another place. Im so thankful that I have been here and all of the beautiful things it comes with all the view of the nature is priceless!! Talk about luxury living. We moved in back at the beginning of September and we are still so impressed with the maintenance upkeep on the property thus far AND 24/7 club house. The maintenance guys are so caring and Dorthy that keeps the clubhouse looking brand new is such a sweetheart, always has a smile on her face. But the best part, the unbelievable community outreach they pour into making sure The Vecina community feels that closeness with their neighbors, even during the incredibly unique times we are currently living in. So many great things to say about this community!!

Review №22

I first wanna start by saying the apartment complex is beautiful. however there is a long list of problems here:1. THERE IS NEVER ANY AVAILABLE PARKING.- if you leave anytime after 5pm good luck finding any parking, there is never a spot available or you have to park all the way down the hill or in guest parking if there is any available. i can’t even have guests over to my home because they have no where to park! Other reviews say management has a solution to the parking problem but they have not done a thing about it for the last 4 months since this has become an issue. why continue to move MORE people in when there isn’t even enough spaces for your current residents??Then when you try to ask the leasing office their response is “Well you can pay $75 extra for covered parking, or $100 for a garage.” First of all since parking has become such an issue the Vecina should just let anyone park in covered spots that would help the issue a whole lot, but instead they want to nickel and dime you for anything and everything. Hey there are other apartments that have a full blown parking garages with no additional cost to their residents.2. bedrooms are hot while the rest of the units are cold- i’ll have my unit temperature at 71 degrees and it will be nice and cool in the living room but when you walk in the bedroom it automatically feels like you’re walking in a room 10 degrees higher than the rest of the apartment. This is due to the poor electrical being done at this apartment.3. electrical issues- fuses are blown every time i try to cook. any time i’m preparing dinner ALL of the plugs will stop working in the kitchen which is highly frustrating when you’re trying to feed your family dinner and have to resort to plugging in appliances on the floor in the hallway just to finish because maintenance does not fix this ongoing issue. At most the maintenance guys have told me “Just flip the electrical switches to turn it back on.” Excuse me? i need to go in my bedroom and flick on these switches EVERYTIME I COOK?! not to mention it just fuses out five minutes later anyway.4. BUGS!!!!- There are nasty little bugs crawling all over this place! I mean don’t get me wrong if you love pet roaches, centipedes, grasshoppers then you’ll love living here! you pay pest control that’s included in the rent however they do nothing about the bugs EVER.ITS THE BUGS FOR ME!!! 😍5. overcharging for everything-when i first moved in the rent was about $1,100 for a one bedroom, now it’s being raised to $1,300, AND FOR WHAT?? for more people to experience electrical issues? Laughable.6. cheaply built property-Do not get me started on the poor quality of this complex. Cabinet drawer handles break off, walls start to crack, poor quality paint jobs. you’re paying $1,300 for this? I would expect top quality built units for the premium rent payment they’re wanting to charge. This place was built SO FAST, and in that time they did not consider using a little bit better construction? Like who designed and made all these decisions? JAIL!7. loud neighbors-neighbors will have people over and stomp all over the floors and you’ll hear it all if you live below them, loud music and people getting drunk and louder than coachella. This wouldn’t be an issue if they built the property better with thicker floors and walls.8. Not a gated community-if you want your car broken into well do i have the complex for you! there are no gates here so literally anyone can come in this complex. Why are all of the other surrounding apartments have gates but this one doesn’t? don’t be fooled just by thinking you’re living in stone oak that doesn’t mean you’re protected from break ins or theft. Just this last week the police showed up to this place for a car break in. And the community won’t tell you, i found out by looking at a public database (I’m an officer myself) and saw the police report that was filed. My advice to the property: Address these concerns for your future tenants. And if you try to take down my review i will just re-post it.

While I have limited experience to speak from, I am happy to say that the Vecina has proven itself to be an excellent complex to call myself a resident of.Naturally, everything is brand new, and the quality of the construction itself is quite nice (occasional scuff or imperfection here or there, but nothing that would make me question the craftsmanship of most of the build itself). Maintenance has always been responsive and been out 1-2 days from the time we request, prompt in attending to our issues, and if they have been unable to fully fix an issue, they have briefed me on exactly why, exactly what theyre doing about it, and the exact timetable, and without fail they have met it.Amenities wise, this is par for the course for the area and this price range, but the pool here is absolutely divine when you can be in it and see the sunset/views from the top of the hill. The dog spa is quite nice (multiple wash stations at different heights, a large blow dryer, provided cleaners, etc.), the connection to the trail is spectacular, covered parking if you need it, and the 24/7 clubhouse and gym are awesome spaces to simply relax with guests/get out of the apartment without going anywhere, and to work out, respectively. This gym in particular, in terms of selection, is great compared to most apartment gyms, at least in my experience. I make regular use of it.Pricing is acceptable, and admittedly the views some of these units can get are worth the price increases relative to some other properties in this area. Overall, however, the Vecina ends up being cheaper than its competitors compared to what you get for the money, and I assume this is because the property is just so new. No damages, great views, high-end finishes, good maintenance and great event setting by the office (said staff being some of the nicest people Ive ever met [Emily was GREAT to us, very responsive and clear], and my familys southern) all come together to make the price easily acceptable, especially since I split it with roommates. There is also this great space you can pay for built exclusively for people who work from home. I myself save the money and relegate myself to my bedroom, but I highly recommend it to anyone who does spend most of their work day home. Its a really nice space. The area (Stone Oak) is definitely one of the few young and hip areas of a historically old city, so the energy here is very different than what Im used to, but its a nice change of pace. The quality of driver here reminds me of Houston, which for anyone who has driven through Houston, is not a compliment. The traffic volume of general is a change from other parts of the city Im used to, but its the suburbs, so I expect it to take me 10-15 mins to get to where I wanna go, all the while not leaving the Stone Oak area.It is easy to live in Stone Oak and only leave the area once a month, and be happy with the choices you have in terms of shopping and eating. Finally, I will touch on the quality of the residents. To the people below us, I do apologize for the noise we make, as just like any apartment, you can hear your neighbors above you if theyre doing anything more than just walking normally. However, in terms of noise from neighbors, I have no specific complaints; the unit to unit noise insulation seems pretty good. My specific building hasnt had any issues with parties or the like, despite the low average age of renters. My neighbors most definitively smoke marijuana, which I myself do not care about, but the complex did pass out a flier asking to stop, and I havent smelt it since. There isnt a lot of littering or the like, but even if there was, there is a staff member that goes around every day from what I can tell that cleans all of that up. There were a few times I heard what sounded like a domestic dispute, but things happen, and if you live in an apartment, you should expect the occasional oh my moment from your fellow residents.Overall, a solid 5/5 from me. I will happily stay here for as long as I stay in San Antonio.

We were some of the first residents to move in and have been very happy with our decision. The apartments are beautiful – the granite island in the kitchen is bigger than most beds! The amenities and staff are also fantastic – Kristen was great at making our move from halfway across the country as smooth as possible. We were a bit nervous signing a lease without ever seeing the apartment – or city – but are so happy we chose The Vecina. The location is perfect and hill country views are breathtaking. Of course, we expected to have a few “new construction” issues, which you’ll find with any brand new place, but what you won’t find anywhere else is The Vecina team’s dedication to ensuring even the tiniest issue is addressed promptly. Plus, new construction means we’re the first to call this apartment home, which is so cool. Everyone we’ve encountered has been so accommodating and welcoming. We are excited to make The Vecina our new home.

I just sold my house and moved to this apartment. I never imagined enjoying living in an apartment, but living at the Vecina has been more than fun! I love that since we got here everything has been open as long we wear our masks. The gym has treadmills that I can link my Netflix account to and watch my shows while I exercise. My favorite thing about this place is that they have activities/get togethers a couple times a month for their residents. Pizza night, bingo night W/PRIZES, holiday get-togethers, and so much more! I love getting to know my neighbors especially at a time when a pandemic has us feeling less connected. It can be hard to navigate between social distancing guidelines and being neighborly, but the Vecina makes it easy with both virtual and in-person events to keep residents involved. There is a never-ending list of fun activities to do here, and the amenities are fantastic. I’ve loved being able to stay here with my family, and they are happy to say the same.Management has helped me with any issue that I have had. From Stephanie who I always catch picking up trash, or doing something to make our apartments a better place to live, to Emily who made the best first impression then any of the other 9 places I went to, to maintenance supervisor Kevin who went to my apartment and unplugged everything while I was out during the snowpocalypse and Dean who is always there when we need him!!
