I ended up not being able to move in and the manager Trisha was incredibly helpful and accommodating to my needs. I really feel more managers should be like her. She’s kind and attentive. I appreciate her being honorable and forthcoming. Very professional. I recommend to anyone looking at this place. Really nice area too, I’ve lived a few blocks away from this property for years and the crime rate is very low. Mainly retired military.
The Grand is a great place to live, the Manager Tricia is great and Liza the assistant excels at taking care of all the residents request..I highly recommend to all who wish to reside here.
So we have been living here for almost three years now been happy with everyone in the office Trish Erma Albert and Ray great people and great response for any issues. The manager will work with you no matter what situation your in as long as your honest with them. Never been happier. Property is being upgraded and looks great. All around great place to live and awesome people in the office thank you for all yall have done to make us feel at home.
The people in the office are kind and show empathy towards the residents. The maintenance crew is kind, listens to our request and meet our needs by listening to our suggestions. The only thing I am not happy with is the pool, is not clean or ready to enjoy, or is usually locked/closed.I hope that they fix that issue soon. The apartments are spacious and pretty, love the fireplace, double vanities .......you dont feel like you are living in an apartment!
Trisha the office manager is fabulous. She is very knowledgeable and is easy to talk to about any of your apartment needs. She always gets things taken care of in a very timely manner. Trisha is the best and you couldn’t ask for a better apartment complex manager.
If you are looking for an apartment for a small or large family, The Grand Apartments is where you need to be! They are a very friendly staff that is led by Trish who has been amazing and devoted to her tenants. Maintenence is very responsive and friendly who will work day and night for everyone here. They are even plumbing certified which is rare to have. The home we live in is spacious and they have a gym, dog park, and playground with a pool nearby. This is a gated community as well. Best apartments I have ever lived in.
The ladies in the office are extremely helpful and so far no issues. Been here a few weeks.
Maintenance is often slow to respond to requests or will show up unannounced to complete work, but management is incredibly accommodating and quick to correct any issues or concerns.
Trish and the office staff and the best!
HUGE floor plans and spacious balconies! Awesome management (Trish) as well. Maintenance comes the next day you put a work order in. Also a very quiet community and have private security always patrolling at night. My favorite thing about this property is how much you pay for the square footage!
Friendly staff. Spacious 2 bedrooms. Property is clean and maintained.
Love living here management is great apartments are spacious!!
Large apartments quiet.. plenty of room and a dog park!!
I really hated living here, it a lot of kids running around in the street and I almost hit one with my car, and the people in the office doesn’t do anything about it. is a lot of trash around and the pool is always closed in the mornings, and the had a big sign that is open. Is was a nightmare.
I have been living here since 2014, and the initial leasing staff including maintenance was amazing. Up until this past year I think I only ever put in maybe three work orders tops. Never had any issues at all. Fast forward to today, and I have a closet ceiling that still has yet to be completed from a pipe leak for over a week now and all the while water is leaking INSIDE from the A/C unit and seeping into my bedroom carpet for a little over two weeks. My neighbors A/C and ours is not cooling properly and I’ve called, text, left voicemails and tried giving the benefit of the doubt since it’s summer, the offices get busy. But, If this is really how the new company runs it’s business then it sure is doing this property a disservice. We’ve never complained and have always enjoyed being here until now.
Thank you to our awesome management and maintenance team who worked late into the night last once again to get the water back on. This winter storm has made a lot of The Grand Apartments community really come together. Neighbors have been helping each other with fire wood, food, and water, both drinking and otherwise, for those who were still without. Maintenance has been working crazy hours to get everyone back to normal. Management staff has been reaching out, visibly seen, and walking around daily and late into the evenings as well, to make sure everyone is okay and has what they need. You are greatly appreciated and we see what you do.Before this crazy storm, all the apartments, carports, and fencing were repainted, and any outside cosmetics fixed. This halted due to the storm, but has now started again. It is a beautiful community for both the landscape and people who live and work here.I am glad to live here going through this time and everyday with a group like this having my back! Thank you all again, you are greatly appreciated!
Great space 👌
WHAT...I WAS NEVER THERE.
If I could give zero stars I would. I stayed here when they were just getting started back in 2012-2013. At first it appeared to be great, the rooms were spacious and when something did go wrong maintenance was prompt about fixing things. Upon moving in, I noticed the counter tops were painted not actual granite, laminated, etc., but painted, so they chip easily and looks horrible. About a week into living there, everyone was getting sick(running nose, cough, etc), I was pregnant and having trouble breathing. I noticed mold under the sink that was just painted over and not properly removed before being painted. The windows didn’t have screens and were single pane, so the AC was on 24/7. I tested for mold and it was positive, I contacted the manager and never got a response so I contacted health departments but I could no longer live there because the black mold was killing all of us. I moved in a month because we just couldnt breathe. As soon as I moved within a few days, we were no longer sick and we could breathe again! Before moving out we did take pics of the other apartments that were being renovated at the time and it had mold so bad you couldn’t even step foot in there. They were only painting over the mold and not properly extracting it(mold and remediation ). The property manager at the time was also hiding fees and taking our information and using it for other people to be accepted in the complex.
My mother in law lives here and had trouble with huge cockroaches even though they are clean/tidy residents. They sprayed for roaches like once after many service requests. She also had black mold on her ceiling in the shower and Im pretty sure they just painted over it. So yeah would not recommend especially for the ridiculous price of rent.
The maintaince guys are awesome and the assistant manager is very nice. However, the manager is the most disrespectful person that I ever meet. I already contacted the main office to let them know about it. I am not the only person that have complained about this person . If you work in costumer service, you have to be respectful and nice. Why do you think you can be rude?
Tranquility and total security an excellent option to live.Always excellent attention bu Debbie to solve problems giving a quick and accurate solution
Service to slow and nothing available
Just a few minutes from the highway and you can save so much more money. All my friends were shocked how my apt looks as nice as their new apt community (inside & out) but I dont pay as much as they do. Great place were everyone remembers your name.
I have never had a problem with much since living here. The office staff is really friendly and Christine seems to know everyone by name and says hi to them every time she is out showing apartments or if you just stop in for something. Maintenance is awesome we were out of town on vacation and received a call saying a water pipe broke in our kitchen and they had it fixed before we ever got home.
We lived there for two years, were deployed overseas, and came back. The manager is so amazing, and so is her assistant. They are always helpful and ready to answer questions or work with us. The apartments have a lot of room and makes you feel at home.
I need to qualify this review at the outset as I do NOT (and have not) live at The Grand Apartment Homes. I reside roughly a mile from the facility in a relatively upscale (though comparatively inferior) apartment complex in Selma. I visited The Grand Apartments because a number of the residents in my current facility are interested in moving there. The visitors center of The Grand Apartments is very nice. Its personnel are a cut above the quality of staff normally encountered at other facilities. They have 1, 2, and 3 BR units, each with multiple layouts and sizes from a little over 600 SF to over 1500 SF. Many units have attached garages. Some 2BR apartments have a 1 car attached garage, and some 3BR units have a two car attached garage. The pricing is surprisingly competitive -- less than what I expected. The most expensive units (3BR units with a 2 car attached garage) are nearly $2000 a month with over 1500 SF of living area. Although competitive, the 3 BR is substantially more expensive than the 2 BR units primarily (I assume) because the availability of nice 3BR/2 car garage units are rare in San Antonio hence the old rule of supply and demand is clearly evident.. The 2 BR units with one garage are about $500 less than the 3 BR units. The prices are posted on the internet and change almost daily depending on availability and market conditions. They remain more than 99% occupied on average, so youll likely be on a waiting list for several months depending on the unit you desire. The amenities are very nice, with one of the nicest pools Ive seen -- and is superior in size and aesthetics to many neighborhood public pools. The outdoor kitchen is also well kept and nice for a family dinner at the pool or a party with invited guests (I dont know what the restrictions are on numbers of guests allowed in the pool area.)Clearly, youll have to see this facility yourself if you are interested; Im just letting people know that its very nice, competitively priced, and worth visiting if its in the area and price range you desire. Its location (just off Loop 1604 on Lookout Road makes it an ideal location to get nearly about anywhere in the San Antonio metro area quickly, including Randolph AFB. Check it out online first, then visit to discover the accommodative personnel if you have any interest. Good luck with your housing search.
I dont know what its like to actually live here, but navigating them is an absolute nightmare!
Ive been living here since February of 2020 and I must say I havent had anything to complain about except for the fact that theres 11 dumpsters in this complex and everyone throws their trash in my dumpster which is the beginning of the apartments and my apartment is located directly behind that dumpster its quite disgusting and constantly overflowing
Love this place office staff is amazing and maintenance is awesome 🙌🙌. The place I call home before I buy a house. Dont knock it till you live here.
The assistant manager is very nice while the manager is rude. She is a hypocrite. She will be nice at first to get you,but once you live here she will be rude. She does not CARE about taking care of the residents .
I never rented here. But apparently the manager Christy Carr will get anyone approved stealing other peoples social security numbers! She wont allow you to speak to any other manager to resolve this issue. I now have a broken lease on my credit. I even have the lease the dumb lady emailed me in someone elses name. But I guess she made a fake one on the side to cover her scamming ways. Beware of this place! This lady does identity theft without any remorse. Im now having to get a lawyer but this will be resolved. Im sure she will remove this once seen. But she will not allow you to speak with anyone else.
The staff is amazing and very responsive. The apartments are spacious have an updated interior with lots of storage. Highly recommend.
Its a huge Complex. It has nice amenities. But,it does need a HUGE UPGRADE with its Security.
WAS thinking about moving into this apt community, have a few friends living there, I like the gates, the big trees & covered parking, HOWEVER I was visiting said friends last Sun June 9th, we went to pool & was just completely shocked by the lack of respect some people have for others, there was a group of guys blasting rap music & smoking so much marijuana in pool area right next to where the children were playing that we had to leave, smoking cursing & be completely disrespectful to everyone & after hearing what my friends pay monthly at this complex & realizing that there wasnt any security patrol or guard anywhere in site I completely changed my mind, we went back to 1 of their apts and relaxed there, they said they dont even go for walks in evening with kids anymore because all you smell is marijuana & alot of shady people have been moved in lately, now they are all looking to move out & get into a safer environment
The apartments and maintenance is AWESOME!! But the new Manager Rebecca is really mean and bossy. She talks down to people like she knows everything!! Im human too, you know! Thank God our lease is up soon. If Christy or Silvia was still here I would stay. But Rebecca makes me HATE LIVING HERE!!!!!!!!BTW,No I will not give you guys a call because you are just going to start with me again and be rude and disrespectful.
Omg Lilly thank you!!!! Im so happy Im not the only person that the new manager Rebecca has been disrespectful to. She really think she knows everything but she doesnt. She makes me feel uncomfortable. SHES FAKE, and I to miss Christy and Sylvia. I will be moving when my lease is up as well.
Worst experience ever, I lived there for 2 years . I dealt with a family of raccoons stuck in between my walls, when maintenance tried to catch them they had to make a hole in my master bedroom because they had sealed the building through the outside (Without checking wether the animals were out or not) & when they didn’t catch anything they covered the hole WITH A BLACK PLASTIC BAG. You could see the bag moving when the animals would step over the bag -had to get a hotel- & management the next day said they weren’t going to pay to seal the whole to just have it re-open to try a second time.2- the maintenance crew BROKE into my storage room outside and cleared it all . Management said it was a mistake and thought old residents left things behind. No apologies or nothing.- Save your money and go somewhere else, these apartments are horrible to say the least.
Love these apartments mostly because Sylvia and Christi, but also because the mature trees, clean pool and local complex. Ran out of coffee and didnt get to HEB? Office has you covered! Have an antsy pupper? Office has treats and love and are never to busy to show their 4 legged tenants attention. Maintence issue? Jesses got you and always gets the issue taken care of.
Not a bad community. The model is nice, but it felt like a bait and switch when they showed us our apartment. We refused it and they took us to a different and significantly better unit. We have had minor troubles that have been resolved relatively quickly. The staff is easy to work with and friendly. They offer 1 dedicated, covered parking spot, and an outdoor storage closet per unit and there is plenty of other parking. The complex feel secluded even though it is on a very busy road with lots of shopping within walking distance. It is quiet and feels homey. The pool is clean and well taken care of. The grounds are well kept. Pest control is available every Monday. There is an onsite dog park. The Grand website states Woodstone is the elementary school, but it is actually Stahl.Over all, this is a great apartment complex for the price and i would consider at the upper end of the B rated apartments.
CONS-Too many hidden fees, everything you think was in included ends up being a fee, the storage, the coverered parking, a service fee, pest control fee, but you wont see the spraying being done monthly, then your water, sewer and trash bill. As though the rent was not high enough on this place it just went up another $100 to $200. The remodeling has been done in an easy cheap way, so no matter what you do the place starts falling apart. The cars have little parking space between each other. The kids are mean, they curse, fight and bully others. No one does anything about it. The pool could be better maintained. One of the office ladies are really nice while the other one seems to hate her job.PROS- the gate works, maintance done with in a week or 2, walking distance to alot of places, shaded, quiet, and apartments are spacious.
I had an awful experience in The Grand apartments. I went to go visit my Grandmother and this lady name Rebecca was so rude and outlandish. she told me that I could not park in my grandmother spot. I dont live in your raggedy apartments and i wouldnt tell people about your raggedy apartments to live in. Your property manger should get fired. She rude aggregate and plan out disrespect.
Big apartments
Nice and spacious apartment living
It is very quiet and peaceful.
I haved recently lived here, then moved because i had gotten robbed, then a few months later i found out my neighbors in front got robbed as well, the staff didnt do much, and thats when i decide to move, to a better and safer facility, (of apartments), i wouldnt recommend this place, especially if u are looking safe place, where u wont get robbed, they may have gates but most of the time it doesnt work or it needs to be repaired
Just not my cup of tea
