Do not move into this particular apartment complex! I’ve been here for a few years and this complex is horrible. Management is a revolving door. Maintenance people take forever if you need something fix. Also the buildings are old so nothing is up to date and some things are falling apart. This apartment has been on the news for code compliance. Meaning that they have not met certain standards when it comes to living conditions. Huge reason why I left is because of that. Also, there has been so many water repairs. Water keeps getting shut off at random times for hours. Hot water doesn’t always work, but yet they want to still charge tenants for water. I’ve just had some many problem with this apartment complex. And apparently others have too since this apartment was on the news for certain violations. So other people obviously have reported this complex as well. There’s better places out there besides this one. I never have recommended anyone to live here. Horrible services.

Came in, to see about leasing an apartment, was greeted by Diego, who pushed off going to lunch to work with me! Showed me around a very clean, BEAUTIFUL, spacious apartment! He helped me fill out my application, and within seconds I had already been approved, and my apartment was reserved, with deposit! Diego was very kind, answered all questions, assured me if we had any issues he’d be more then happy to help! He was super helpful! Very accommodating! Looking forward to living here, and much more comfortable about the move after working with him!

I went to tour this community on 8/28, the office was closed but I figured the person in charge was touring so I decided to wait. While I was waiting an older lady and her son came and waited. A few minutes later the front desk person came with a man, the man asked us if we wanted to inquire about the apartments, we said “yes”, and he proceeded to say that they “sucked, horrible management, among other things. The lady said “Yes” to all these accusations 😱😱 shocking!! Immediately drove as far as possible from that bad managed community 😥🤷🏽‍♀️

These apartments have gone down so much .. management don’t care about residents.. they never answer the phones . I have called from outside management office and they do not pick up.. they have an emergency number that they never answer after a certain time it says it is temporarily disconnected.. my ac has been like this for all of JulyIt feels exactly the way it does outside, .. my light Bill is outrageous because the ac doesn’t ever shut off it just blows hot air … I cannot wait to move out of these apartments ..if they can call the plumbers for the water that is off every other day to come fix a problem that not even the plumbers fix then they should call the ac people to come and check the units as well ..

Had the worst experience. A manager named Diego that worked there at one time (April 2020) promised many openings for July and told us about how their apartments all had wood floor through out and promised we would have the best there. And that there would definitely be one available for us. My fiancé and I are have now lost 300$ because he got fired and they don’t have what we were looking to move into, and haven’t even gotten back to us about any other apartment at all. We had to do the whole process else where. Don’t recommend, especially if you spoke to Diego before hand.

I moved in on Saturday and absolutely love my giant apartment! Diego told me as soon as I came in for a tour and saw the master bedroom this would be the floor plan I would want! Its like based on our first conversation he knew exactly what I was looking for. Ive had several apartments before, but no one has taken the time and the patience with me Diego has. He was genuinely more interested in making sure my daughter and I would love our new home than just trying to lease another apartment. If you are looking for a new place I definitely recommend calling or stopping in and meeting Diego and the office staff !

The floor plants are nice and all but the bad outweighs the good. Since the freeze, sewer water has been leaking all over the complex, and I’ve had work orders take weeks before being fulfilled. Although it’s been resolved, for a time I had the same lock on my door as my neighbors, allowing us to have the same exact keys. I did not feel safe until I pressured the office for days to change the locks. My shower drain continuously backs up, leading to a couple inches of water around my feet whenever I bathe. Overall, many things could be much better around here, including the slow responses to residents problems.

I been living here since October of 2020 and my tub has been broken since I moved in. I have put in work orders for it multiple times . They come out and half fix it or do a temporary job. I have put in a work order over a month ago and still nothing I am constantly told that they have my work order but never come out to fix it. The water won’t come on and the knobs are stripped so the water been leaking for over a month. The office never answer the phone. The apartments look good but the people who work here are liars and don’t care about their residence. As long as they get their money. My advice is don’t move here

They don’t fix anything. Put you in about the leak by our sliding glass door over a year and a half ago and still nothing all they say is it’s a cosmetic issue and they aren’t fixing cosmetic issues at the moment. There is mold all around the leak and you can see water damage on the wall above the sliding glass door. The oven quit working over a month ago still haven’t gotten it fixed. Have issues with with shower and still nothing. They go through property mangers like candy here. Worst place I’ve ever lived at. No wonder they can’t keep residents here. I will see what the city inspector says now.

Would leave 0 stars if I could. Management changes every other week it seems. None of which are helpful. I’ve reached out multiple times and have submitted multiple work orders regarding mold and a huge leak in my second bathroom. There are huge water pockets on the wall and ceiling. Finally the manager came out to look at the issue yesterday and called contractors who bursted the water pocket leaving a huge hole in my ceiling unattended & stated the leak is from a bursted pipe in the unit above me caused by previous contractors who left something on. The contractors never came back nor has the apartment manager reached out.

I have been trying to get ahold of the office for a week and have had no response. I have also gone through a week without A/C at the end of last month and called the emergency maintenance and had no response. We had to wave a maintenance man down and then he lied about fixing our A/C. We finally went into the office when they wanted to be open and had to make it clear how hot it had been in our apartment(above 88 degrees. With it being in the 90s outside) inorder for it to be fixed that day. We still have not been able to get ahold of the office. I called twice and now it says the number has been disconnected.

This place looks great from the curb. However once you get inside it is not nice, the security gate doesnt work and hasnt for years. The managment is a revolving door of broken promises. My father in law has lived there for soo long and his place has the oldest windows that are barely holding in. There was a giant overflowing dumpster as soon as you enter the complex, and now the Apartment office has an eviction notice from the city of San Antonio on the door and the giant picture window is broken out with plywood placed over it. My father in law just got a random flyer from the city as did everyother tennet about emergency housing because the complex is in such a bad state of repair. I wouldnt recomend this place to anyone.

I have read some of the recent reviews and I have no clue how they had a wonderful experience 🤣. My move was absolutely horrible! They had 2 weeks to get my apartment together as I was moving cross country. When I got here the apartment was nowhere near ready. I had to stay with a friend over night which was not ideal being I just drove almost 30 hrs. I was pressed to get the prorated rent in on my drive here. Which they ended up telling me it was a mistake that I wasnt suppose to receive a message telling me I needed to pay to prevent eviction. I was told that my apartment would be ready first thing the following morning. I came the following afternoon and the cleaning person was just getting in. Finally later early evening it was ready. I came in and still had to reclean the entire apartment plus there were still some cosmetic issues. So I went up to the office that Monday to speak to someone that could do something. I spoke with the community manager or whatever and addressed my issues I was told that they didnt know the extent of the work that needed to be done until they went in for the inspection a few days prior to me getting here. I can say yes she sent someone right over to attempt to get everything fixed. Since then I have been waiting for them to finish. This was towards the end of March. Under my bathroom sinks the wood looks dry rotted but all they did was paint over it, I am still waiting on them to bring me a drawer for my kitchen, and racks for the dishwasher that smells mildewy I hate opening it. The grounds are very nasty especially when the trash starts to overflow. When taking my dog to their dog park I have to watch where we walk so my dog doesnt step on glass from broken beer bottles I have only taken my kids to their playground twice and was there probably 10 min max. For the price of these apartments it should be better living. They have a number you can text but no one answers in a timely manner. Now they did compensate me by taking away one of the pet deposits I think mostly because they failed to mention there was two fees for the pets (which like I told them I wouldve never came here if I wouldve known)and they gave me free parking under the carport for a couple months.I love the size of the place but that does not make me want to stay.... I am currently looking for another place. Someone asked me if it would be worth breaking my lease and I said hell yea without a doubt. I honestly hate it here! I gave it 2 stars cause the apartment is an actual decent size I do like the space.

I live in the apartments not one problem has been resolved in a timely manner and thats IF with a really big IF it ever gets resolved. Since the freeze nothing had been right with the water. I have talked to maintenance, created tickets, went down to the office and nothing. No security and no help in these apartments the day i recommend somebody to stay here will be the day of Dec 32 aka never.

My roommate Caitlin and I moved in 2 months ago and this is our first apartment. We were extremely nervous, but our leasing agent Diego made the whole process sooo simple and stress free. He answered all my questions and everything he re-assured us has been exactly as he told us. I completely forgot to write a review earlier as I was so excited about moving in, but this past Saturday made me definitely have to write a positive review for Star Club and even more for Diego. We did not know what to do about our garbage disposal and instead of submitting a work order and having to wait for the maintenance guys Diego literally came and fixed it for us himself. With staff like Diego and the manager, I think her name is Val how can anyone ever complain? We love our apt and we love the staff PERIODTTT.

I don’t even know where to start, I’m so fed up. They CONSTANTLY shut the water off and they just did it yesterday and it’s still off. Soooo many bugs and the AC never works properly. The dishwasher looks like a child set it up, it’s ridiculous. Don’t make this an option until it’s fully renovated.

Yes, I would like to say that these are great apartments.The property manager Valerie Muth is so lovely and kind. She is patient and understanding. If you have a problem or issue with your apartment she will be so helpful and get it taken care of. My family and I would recommend these apartments to anyone. I lived here for 2 years and the management alone changed 4 times so that says something. They take forever to do the maintenance and fix the problems. We couldnt use one of our toilets bc they never came to fix it and in the same restroom there was black mold coming through which they had painted over before we moved in. And they never came to clean or disinfect, nothing. They gave us tips to spray bleach on it like its not their problem. They always have some construction on the streets inside the apartments and dont cover their potholes. I would never refer someone here

Do not rent here. I have been here for two years and am definitely moving at this point due to the countless issues with the units,The water bill is $100 If not moreThe outside sewer lines are constantly erupting spilling feces and urine everywhere and the police are constantly called to the property for various reasons including murder and robberies.

I am current resident here and about to leave apartment next 2 month. I would recommend if you find any other community near check it and don’t get here unless you don’t have any options left here is really very bad management and last 4 month they charge 3 time management and water leaks in all apartment so water bill comes every month around $125 and they never complete your work order before 3 to 4 times visit office and you have to explain all over again and again to every new staff.

I previously left a bad review and wanted to come update it for perspective tenants, in a matter of months Shawna the new manager has turned this property around! Work orders being completed in timely fashion and someone is always available in the office for questions and concerns. Reanna is also a great asset to the team she is honest and handles situations very well. Our lease is nearly up and we plan on renewing to stay another year. We are glad to call Star Club home!

If you like just giving away your hard earned money this is the place for you. Nothing will be repaired in a timely manor,shippy properties will never return your calls and forget about the manager of this place solving any of your issues. Water Bills are in the $100 plus range every month. Water will be turned off 4 to 5 times a month. Never any hot water and forget about safety and security on the property. The only advice I can give someone who is thinking of living here is run and dont look back

I am a Home Health care worker and one of my clients has had no hot water since April, and its going on 5 days with no A/C. He has reported the issues to Local Code Enforcement office, State Code Enforcement office and my employer has as well. The next step is Eye Witness wants to know (media) making it known how an Elderly man, Stroke survivor, and Veteran is being treated and the conditions of his living space. He is paying over $1000 a month and every time he has called or gone in to the office about the A/C he is told someone will be sent right over and no one ever gets there. The water is turned off at least once a week and when it is turned back on, there is still no hot water and not enough water pressure to shower.

I would like to thank Mr jordan for everything he has done at the property. I have been here for 4 years and he has done more than previous managements. I have seen him clean the pool after neighbors had party after hours and he is always polite. The last company did a horrible job at responding to things and I can definitely see the improvements over the last year. I love it here and just renewed my lease for another year.

I’ve been a resident since 2017. This property continues to go downhill. From constant water leaks, to roaches, and mold. If you need anything from management your SOL. There are new office staff every couple of months. Do yourself a favor and just keep driving. There are many apartment communities in this location - skip past this one.My current struggle with Shippy Properties is that they have been overcharging me on my account since the summer. They do NOT have anything signed by me agreeing to new charges. I also have a copy of my lease showing what I should be charged. I’ve been to the office multiple times to only be told corporate will call me. Well I’ve been at this for over two wks now. No one from corporate has reached out.Corporate call me - do not leave a canned response on this review about being “sorry about my experience”NO! If you’re really sorry you will call or respond to my many emails I’ve sent.

I have been here almost a year and so ready to move. Water is always off and maintenance is lazy. Currently on Day 4 of No Hot Water and I am fed up. I cant even go home from work and take a hot shower! How is this Ok with Covid going on especially? It makes you put at least 1 star so thats the only reason I put it! Also, my neighbors apartment caught fire about 4 weeks ago so my door got kicked in. They were supposed to fix it that same day but of course that didnt happen. ive called to ask about it several times and they just came out to do it yesterday.

I moved in not too long ago, and received exceptional service! In my situation I was accommodated based on MY moving logistics, and that doesnt happen often with apartment complexes. If you are concerned about other reviews, I would say the management is working tirelessly to turn those reviews around, and it shows. Diego in the front office has been a huge help to us!

Personally, the apartments themselves arent too bad, considering the pricing and area youre living in. My major concern is the lack of resident safety and the management team that Ive talked to about the issues on my apartment. Ive made a complaint about my front door being warped n the bottom and there is a hole in the bottom where small creatures and bugs can crawl to come inside my apartment. I called for maintenance and even went into the office to make sure the problem was being resolved. After about a week, they finally came to take a look and said they would have to talk to the property manager about the situation while my door continues to have a hole in the bottom. Ive been very patient, as I know Im not the only resident, but it seems like this isnt a concern for anyone and I havent gotten any update about what is happening. I shouldnt have to call the leasing office everyday to be told Ill let the property manager know. Another issue I had was my fiance accidentally ran into a low tree trunk on the property. We had to take him to the minor ER where he received stitches. I went to the leasing office that following Monday and the property manager on duty was FAR beyond rude and unprofessional. I couldnt speak without her raising her voice at me, as I just wanted to file a report about what happened on their property and if we could find a solution. I understood that it was a city tree and Im currently in the process of contacting the city to see if theres anything further we can do. I wasnt asking for compensation or for the apartment complex to pay the hospital bill, but to only resolve the solution so no one else gets hurt! The property manager told me that it was my fiances fault for not ducking low enough from the branch and that it was his fault. I showed her photos of the tree and how dark and dim it was and how the reflector lights were not even close to the bottom of the tree where he hit his head. I felt extremely belittled and I had to contact the property owners of Star Club Apartments to discuss the situation. I still feel very upset and worried as the situation hasnt been fully resolved, as they only put ONE single light out there to resolve the situation. Just be wary of this apartment complex and the way they handle the residents and how they treat their residents with love and care.UPDATE:So I’ve called the leasing office a couple of times and of course no one knows the status on what’s going on with the front door. It’s very frustrating considering I’m highly allergic to cedar, grass, and different types of trees and the crack in the front door brings in all those allergens. I shouldn’t have to mention that for someone to come and fix the door. It’s been a week and no update. I’ll be calling them tomorrow to figure out what’s going on.

Recently stopped by for a tour and for pricing. The staff was very polite and knowledgeable. I was immediately greeted upon arrival with big smiling faces. Thats always a great thing. The property was well kept and the pricing was great compared to other properties in the area. I am definitely looking forward to making Star Club my new home! Overall great experience and I recommend it to anyone looking for a new home.

I have currently lived here for a little over 4 months, nothing has ever worked all at once in my apartment. Took 3 months to have maintenance come & properly fix my hallway bathroom toilet. I have had water leaking in my kitchen for just as long. Finally put in enough maintenance requests & called emergency line, followed up with a call to the office during business hours (which someone actually answered the phone!). To come home from work to find a note about how I need to run my garbage disposal before running my dishwasher or the garbage disposal would backup into the dishwasher. I’m no expert but that sounds to me like the problem wasn’t fixed. Also the parking is a straight nightmare & management does nothing to help the paying residents. You can’t even call the towing company to have a car moved from your spot. The best part of my experience living here would have to be the day my entire bedroom ceiling fell in on my daughter, dog, & myself. At the time I had put in multiple maintenance requests both online & in person in the office for my HVAC system had not been working for roughly 2 weeks. Only when I walked to the office with ceiling debris in my hair did I finally get heat & air again. This was in February. I would not recommend this place to live.

And I just have to say the current owners and property management staff we have now are amazing! They have had a lot to fix but they have been working diligently in doing so. And I love all the events they are doing. It’s really building the community. If I could give them more stars I would.

Hands down the rudest office staff I have ever had the misfortune of interacting with. They have about 4 different phone numbers listed for their leasing office & if you can manage to actually find the correct number, they do NOT answer phones & no not have a voicemail. They have multiple adds listed on multiple apps for available units, but refuse to respond to any type of email or to schedule a viewing online. Stood outside the front office for 3 hours today & listened to multiple residents complain that the office is supposed to be open today & can not get ahold of anyone. I drove back up to the office again & finally 2 ladies were there- they refused to speak to me, just kept pointing at the phone number posted (which I’ve literally called 30+ times in the past 2 days & laughed when they finally answered the phones & said sorry, we have nothing available... I understand tensions are high, I understand we can not physically interact, I understand being patient & waiting for a response- I was very excited to move here, based on feedback of other renters... but for your office staff to be so unprofessional that there isn’t even a voice mail set up, no one in the office & then to be so rude as to laugh in my face, after I was excited to actually speak with a human... I can only summarize that it’s because I was white, I don’t see any other explanation. SO incredibly unprofessional. Save your $ & avoid the headache- you can get better service at a motel

This place is horrible. Im tired of spending alot of money on rent on a place where nuthin ever gets fixed or gets fixed the right way. Its not the maintenance mens fault its the people in the office not doing there jobs right. Ive had to time and time sleep in the heat getting tired of that and my sliding glass door and upstairs bathroom tub just leaks water and its running up my bill no one cares. Ill be happy when we move. Roaches r bad. Not going to be disrespected like this. Im tired of it and I cant have my kids live like this.

DO NOT MOVE HERE! My apartment is filthy from patch repair jobs. My kitchen floods each time rains. Water pours in from behind my washer and dryer. The walls feel like sponge, telling me mold exist. I have all kinds of water bugs (i.e.gnats, roaches,caterpillars). I have made numerous maintenance reports with no solution, even cancelled one maintenance request. The office staff dismissed my complaint when called one time. Maintenance came and placed barrier outside to redirect water which I know is impossible since water follows natural route back into my kitchen. AGAIN DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont know if there will be enough space here for everything wrong with this complex, but Ill try. Id rate this 0/5 if I could.Moving in, my wife and I thought we knew what we were getting into. We knew that the previous management was subpar and failed time and time again to do her job to answer to the concerns of the residents here. She was fired/she quit shortly after we moved in, but the concerns raised under her management have continued even with new management (whom we did initially have high hopes for when he personally went around and talked to every resident about the issues they had). Concerns like a roach infestation that management is supposedly aware of but that we have to constantly ask for somebody to come and spray. A service we pay money for that has to be requested weekly, not that theres any guarantee that pest control will come each week anyway.And speaking of paying money, why do we pay a water bill if theyre just going to shut it off randomly without properly informing us? I have kids. They need water. People need water. Im tired of going to get my 1-year-old a cup of water to find the faucet dry. And even when there is water, its either cold or theres barely any pressure. Sometimes we get cold water trickling out of the faucets! Its absolutely absurd that this has been an ongoing issue for at least a month. Is this why were paying over 1200 a month for rent and utilities? To not receive said utilities?Sticking to child health and safety, our apartment is exceeding 80 degrees every day. I understand we live in Texas and that these are some of the hottest days in history, but that is a sorry excuse for not doing anything for the a/c issues. If I was able to keep my last rental - a 3bd/2ba, 1500sq ft house with twice the ceiling height - under 75 during the hottest days of the year, I should be able to do the same for a small 2bd,1100sq ft apt. Instead I am constantly worried for my childs health. I guess thats the one benefit to not being able to take a hot shower - we can stay cool that way!Management is a Joke. Maintenance barely comes, though I understand the 4 guys on the maintenance team are working hard trying to fix every issue for over 200 apartments.Ive only listed the three most major problems. I havent talked about how previous managements idea of making this apt move in ready was just covering every crack, stain, hole, and defect in thick white paint (thats been peeling off every surface since before we moved in). I havent talked about our balcony having rotting wood panels only some of which were replaced, or the overhang sagging and rotting as well. I havent talked about the poor handling of our parking spot payments (overcharged two months in a row and even though weve said something, weve still not been reimbursed for said overpayments). I havent talked about how our front door and sliding doors wont close all the way. I havent talked about how every cupboard and drawer seems lopsided, broken, sagging, repaired with mismatched spare parts, or has something wrong. I havent even talked about the mold that WAS PAINTED OVER rather than removed.To say that these are the worst living conditions Ive ever had the displeasure of living in (let alone paying, again, over $1200/mo for) would be an understatement, and considering I spent almost a decade in the military, that should be even more telling of how abysmal the conditions here are. But anytime we submit a ticket of any kind, were met with the same, were sorry. Well send somebody right out. only nobody comes out most of the time, and when they do its typically days or weeks later. I dont want anymore were sorry. I want an apartment worth $1200/mo. I want owners and a management/front office team that cares about their tenants. I want change.And based off the many similar reviews, Im not the only one that feels this way.

Hello everyone my name is tom. my wife and i have lived in this complex for over 5 years. been through many management teams. i would just like to say the team they have here now is awesome. they have jumped through hoops to try and fix all the issues they have to fix from other prior teams that was here. they are getting the area and apartment looking great. this is a very safe and secure place to live. the people that live here seem to take pride in the area and the way the property looks. if you have and issue just politely go to the office and they will get it taken care of please move in here you wont regret it thank you for your time tom

I recently moved in to 88 Hundred and have had the best experience since day one! Location is perfect for me and I love the fact that they are pet friendly. Professionalism has always been shown by the staff even when other residents have crossed the line. Teri, the property manager brightens the office and definitely goes out of her way to make you feel at HOME. The property is always clean and apartments are well maintained. Thank you to the office and maintenance staff for all you do!

I’ve lived here for a year now and I am very happy with the complex. The property is beautifully maintained. My apartment is spacious and gorgeous when I call for maintenance issues they are addressed in a timely matter and fixed. When I had an after hours maintenance issue they were here within 15 mins. Tammy the new manager is very sweet and cares about her property and her residences. The office always is pleasant and has holiday party favors or treats for the residence and children I’m glad I am a resident here yes you should come here and live here you will be happy.

This is the worst place to live in san antonio. problems with the water, the boiler always damaged, rarely there is hot water. In my apartment I have a hole in the wall for a month waiting to be fixed. Anyway .. dont even think about coming to live in this place.

I have been here 6 months now. Every issue I have had has been addressed in a timely manner. The staff is always kind to those who are respectful to them. The only thing I can truly complain about is there not being a privacy fence panel on my patio. That would make things so much better!!!

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! Save your money and move else where. There has been problems since we moved in. We moved in January 2018, the apartment was dirty. Dirt on the ceiling fans, dirty air filter in our air conditioner, paint stains on the carpet, paint was chipped all this was promised to be fixed before we moved in and it wasn’t. In the winter the apartment is cold and drafty, the summer is hot our air conditioner is constantly blowing trying to get the apartment’s temperature down resulting in a high electric bill. They switched management and the new management isn’t any better. They tried to say we didn’t pay our pet deposit when we did. I’m pretty sure they are going to give us more problems when we move out, probably lost more paperwork along the way. Our air conditioner has went out multiple times while i was pregnant and have a young child. The water is constantly getting cut off most times without warning. These apartments need to be torn down and rebuilt along with a new management company and staff. I can’t wait to move.

I received a tour from Jordan today. He was extremely personable. For him to be new management, he sure was knowledgeable. He listened to my needs and was able to fit me in a space suitable for my family (and 1 on the way). I was sooo pleased with the patience he showed to my son who is super busy!!! He assured me if there were concerns he would have them resolved..We walked the property, he answered all of my questions and I applied TODAY!! Im looking forward to calling Star Club apartments our new home. He promised to follow up with me within the hour with some questions I had and boom! Ring Ring lol

I have been here for about 4 years if not more. This has been the worst . They just moved in some new people above me. Extremely noisy. Noise all hours of the night. I have appliance that still have not been fixed. My back fence has not been fixed. Grass along the side of my apartment and on the inside of my fence needs cutting. When the yard man comes to cut grass they never around the outside of my fence . I have these forever growing purple things that never stop growing. This place use to be a good and quite place to live. Not anymore. Kids hang out from other properties and destroy other people’s things. I am really disappointed that I renewed my lease can not wait until it is up.

I have lived here for about 5 months now and I enjoy my quiet space. I love that the gym is open 24 hours beats paying for a gym membership. The staff isnt as quick to fix things but it does get done as soon as possible. The office staff is pretty good I never have a problem with them.

Good price for what it is. The property manager is rude and unprofessional she would rather me move out in 30 days then help fix the problem the team she has is helpful I take issue with mid-lease changes. Additionally, we experienced a number of unexpected utility increases which were a bit of a shock. During the middle of the lease period, our Water and Trash bill more than doubled and we were told we pay per resident, not for usage. We were a bit surprised to have a water bill of that size considering two of the four residents (our kids) were under four years old, I shower at the gym most days, and we dont have a washing machine. As such, our water usage was quite low, but we were paying quite a bit. The pools are really nice, but the gym is full of non working and failing equipment, and the room leaks (or at least leaked) when I was using them. The grounds are kept up real well which is nice, but any time there was a maintenance issue, we rarely received notification that someone was coming to fix it. They would just show up. When they did come, the work was not done properly and they had to come multiple more times. For instance, tiles in the bathtub were being replaced with caulk, not actual adhesive, as such, water was getting behind the tiles, causing additional problems, and then falling off again. AC took about a week to be fixed which is tough in the summer. Tenant below me was selling drugs (and wasnt even discrete about it) and while I understand that their hands are tied in a lot of cases, it was blatant and the police were called on a frequent basis. The Tenant-Landlord laws allow for removal in some of these cases but there was a blind eye turned toward this.I would never say some of the horrendous things that are said on these reviews, but our experience was not exactly pleasant with the property manager .The price was good and I feel like we got what we paid for, but I also think that when issues arose, if she reacted differently and also been more customer service oriented, my overall rating would be different. If you are looking for a short lease, I think this is an acceptable place, but not a forever home.

The manager and the timeliness of getting things fixed suck when I first moved in here there was ceiling leak no hot water no AC and several other things that needed to be touched up not to mention the fact that there was no Make Ready done it wasnt clean it was filthy Apartment. The manager Tami is very rude when I went in there to speak about the issues she said someone else can help me. Me and my girlfriend just walked out we are moving out this month we have about had it with this apartments we have rented a lot of place this is by far the worst save your money and don’t move here you deserve 0 stars star club!!

The parking here is absolutely terrible/annoying! Maybe if the covered parking fee was lowered then more people would purchase one and there would be more parking... it’s ridiculous having to carry groceries, laundry or whatever across the apartment complex because there’s no parking anywhere near my unit. $25/month is too expensive for a parking spot! I’m sure many others agree.

Lucy is an awesome apt. Manager! We had great neighbors and used the gym daily. We had to leave due to employment and they were in the process of some amazing upgrades, it was so convent to everything and very spacious...I hate to have to edit this rating but if someone from corporate would contact me before this issue goes any further it would be great. They made an error on my move out, sent it to collections, fixed the error but I have spent 2 months attempting to get these people to handle it with their collections agency and they are reporting it to my credit..next step is a lawsuit!!;

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I could give this place negative stars I would. First off it is extremely over-priced for the quality of the apartments, the whole reason my husband and i moved here was because it seemed cheap, but after the experience we had, Im surprised they can even get away with charging people to live here. I wouldnt move back even if they were paying me! This was me and my husbands 1st apartment together. We moved in in June 2018, and I wish we had taken more time to research this place before blindly signing the lease. The first thing you notice as you walk up is how well kept the leasing office is, but as you venture further back to the apartments youll realize just how misleading the front is. I understand that this is an old place, but that is no excuse for some of the things we had to deal with. The first thing we noticed was a strange smell that never seemed to disappear no matter how many air fresheners we had. As we started to walk around to make note of any problems the apartment might have we noticed the ceiling was misshapen and had lots of weird bubbles, there were strange black spots all over the ceiling, and as we started to take a look at the walls and cabinets, it was the same. Cracks and bubbles that they just tried to cover with paint instead of fixing. Next thing we noticed was the large gaps in our sliding glass door that we could not fix unless we shoved blocks of wood to close them as much as possible. Unfortunately we didnt realize just how serious these gaps were until the apartment became infested with large cockroaches. When we asked for pest control (which we were paying for) no one ever showed up and we ended up having to spray for the bugs ourselves, after which we had to duct tape the gaps closed because no one has even come to look at them. At this point we had put in about 11 or 12 different maintenance requests, only to find them marked completed when not a single person had even come to the apartment. When we resubmitted the requests, they were marked completed again before they were even addressed. At this point we decided to go to management. We went to the office and were told to manager wasnt there and we would need to come back. We came back the next morning and the manager was conveniently sick, and was out for the next few days. We talked to the assistant manager and she said the only thing she could do was send someone up there to fix what they could. So then of course they wouldnt let us break the lease because they had fixed everything. We decided just to pay to break the lease, and of course once they realized we were serious they tried to keep us asking if there was anything they could do. They only started caring once they realized that they were going to lose our rent money each month. Some additional small issue we experienced; there were mushrooms growing on our 2nd story balcony; our screen door wasnt attached the entire time we lived there even though they promised they would fix it the day we moved in; our balcony was awful, all the wood for the railing was splintered and cracked and there were rusty nails sticking out; the closet had no ac or heating and was either extremely hot and humid or extremely cold causing our clothes to be constantly damp. The funny thing is on our last day they told us we were in one of the nicer apartments. They are constantly shutting off the water almost every other day. Do NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m a current resident and I’m having issues with them getting someone out to my unit to take care of a black mold issue that is going on in my air vents. Since I moved here in May I haven’t had any problems until now. Usually they are quick to assist with other small minor issues but now that I have a major health concern to my two toddlers they are moving slow to get this under control. I’ve been told multiple times someone would be coming to clean out my vents and each time I have waited nobody has shown up. I’ve also expressed my patience with the girls in the office. Victoria is really nice and tries to help any time. Jennifer on the other hand today did not look willingly to ease my frustration regarding 3 no shows. She claimed she was going to contact whoever is gonna come out but as of right now I’m still left in the dark. It seems I need to leave a poor review in order to get someone’s attention some way or another!

I have lived here for over a year and over the last 6 months my mind has been completely changed about this apartment complex. Lucy has made living here easy and stress-free. Any problems that I have had have been fixed in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend these apartments to just about anyone. If you want a place to live that feels like a home to know that your kids have a place to play and to feel at ease about your safety this is the place for you. I can honestly say when I first moved here a little over a year ago I was very unhappy nothing that fixed when I moved in my apartment was dirty I had to clean it myself and when Lucy got here things changed stuff started getting fixed and shes easy to talk to you have a problem you go in there and talk to her and she fixes it!!!!!

This place is awful!!! Horrible management. The first day I moved in was May 23, 2018. The cold water was not working so I couldn’t take a shower, the second day I was there I had a leak from the unit above. Maintenance came in to clean up the water and that was it. They came back after Memorial Day to fix so I thought, but came home and found a big hole in my ceiling, it was like that for three weeks. One day I came home from lunch and I was in my apartment changing and there was maintenance coming into my unit without knocking. I was yelling at them not to come in. YOU HAVE TO NOTIFY THE RESIDENT before entering!!! You have to give a 24 hour notice. My apartment patios were full of leaves and dirt. Stephanie told me it would be cleaned before I moved in and of course it wasn’t. The dishwasher wasn’t connected correctly and it flooded my kitchen. The place was infested with roaches everywhere, I couldn’t leave anything out on the counters and I rarely cooked because it was so bad. There were missing baseboards and some of the drawers we’re not working. I pulled the stove out to clean and the sides of the cabinets were full of grease stains.. So disgusting!!! This place is awful. I would not move here. The worst experience ever. Yes they are nice to your face during the signing of the lease, but are ugly after you move in. The day I moved out was embarrassing. There were roaches crawling out of my boxes and it was embarrassing because the movers saw this. Disgusting. The manager Teri is awful and very rude. Nice to your face, but in the phone she is a very different person. She is not a manager and doesn’t know how to manage. Please don’t move here!!!

I have been living here for 6 months and wish I did not sign a year lease. I cannot wait to move out. This Summer the AC went out 3 times, for 6 months the dishwasher did not work right. Finally they replaced it after numerous attempts to fix it. Now they are suddenly enforcing towing and resident cars are being towed at $220 a pop to retrieve. Whenever you have a maintenance problem, you have to wait because there are so many other maintenance work orders. Over the Summer both pools at one point were useless and several times the main pool was not available for swimming. So, dont believe the two sparkling pools ad. Yes it is spacious but you pay too much money to live here. If youre desperate then maybe you have no choice but to move here but if you are not desperate do not move here.

I have been here for 3 years now. The building itself is old, but as long as you make sure they update everything before moving in, things would be fine. Never had any problems with the maintenance, as long as you treat the staff like human beings. Shannon and the girls at the front office have always been nothing but nice to me and my family. If something needs to be fixed, make sure you tell them asap, and keep reminding them, they have a lot on their plate. The apartment is huge, great amenities and great neighbors.

If you are planning on making a move to an apartment complex StarClub should be your very last resort.I have been a resident in the complex for years before they changed the name .Some of the management staff are not receptive to your concerns.Been having a noise issue with my upstairs neighbors since they moved . They have no consideration for those of us who live downstairs.I have had my own company complain to me about the after hours noise that my upstairs neighbors do and ask me if management knows about it.I have complained to the upper management, I have called the security guard on duty and nothing is getting done about it. My neighbors around me complain of the noise.So management suggestion to me was to transfer apartment which I do not feel I have to because I have been in that apartment for two years and will have to come up with fees to move. If any one should move it should be the ones who are making the noise. From 2am until 4am Loud music, TV, among the other noise they make, Loud company.They do not watch their company just the other day I had to ask their kids to stop playing around people’s cars. It is sad to say when you are paying 1000 plus for rent and not able to rest due to the inconsideration of your neighbors and management does not care or keeps giving you excuses like you will just have to deal with it or transfer .Is totally wrong. I Cannot wait until my lease is up.

Rude staff. How are you going to argue with someone who has been here longer than you and tell them to be quite when they are trying to explain something to you. I pay 1200 in rent . I should not be treated this way. I have already contacted the better business bureau now it is time for social media I really can not wait until my lease is up. I wish I had not renewed it. I moved in October and i really regret moving in these apartments. They will tell you one thing then charge you another and then you’ll be stuck with being responsible for all types of fees! Tammy the manager is rude. Something is always wrong with the AC, heater or water every week. The rent is way to high to be living in a community where people are breaking in your cars and shooting. I’m really considering leaving these apartments asap.Also they approve anyone to move in.Now that I posted this bad review Tammy the manager refused to do what she said she would to resolve our issue.

Well I want to apologize to all the office staff, especially the manager. She came through for me, with no questions asked. I got my ramp and everything else I asked her for. It is a true saying, never judge a book by its cover. Once I really sat down and talked with her, I see she is really trying to change things out here.Everytime I call jennifer she is so helpful. If I could rate this place any lower than 1 star, I would.Do not live here, heed this warning. Weve been broken into 8 times over the last 2 years. Including our actual apartment. Weve had a bathroom leak for a year and a half, with no maintenance, it got to the point where it ate a hole in the ceiling and still after repeatedly calling, we got it fixed after 2 months with a leaking hole in our ceiling. Oh did I say fixed? I mean they stopped the water and covered the hole and left everything else to sit.This complex changes staff like girls change underwear. Incompetent, lazy, and oh they lose packages ALL THE TIME. Either someone is stealing or they just plain forget what they did with them or they just dont care.We finally get a way out of the lease, and guess what! They want to enforce extra fine print all of a sudden, they will make you stay for 2 months regardless of how unsafe it is. There must be shootings here monthly and the cops are here every other night.The security lights are out, and the gate is always broken. Good luck with getting something fixed, the maint. workers are all illegals and hopefully youll get one that speaks English and comes on time. Weve had 3 cases where a guy shows up, says hes going to get something from the store AND NEVER COMES BACK.Do not live here, please. Anywhere is better than here. It might look nice, they might be nice to you, but its all a facade.Our neighbors got upgraded to a better apartment because their children got sick from black mold in their old one. Mold is rampant in every part of this complex. Everything is broken or fixing to break. When readying a new apartment, they dont clean they just paint over anything. Cheap rent, but its a huge apartment complex full of people. They showed me a townhouse with a broken fence around the back porch and the air conditioning was not working at ALL upstairs. When we got to the dining room, there was a giant roach (like as long as my thumb) lying dead, upside down on the floor being eaten by about a thousand ants. Not a good first impression, and not worth the cheap rent. Fitness center and pool looked nice though.

The staff and management are horrible people.. they keep the back pool closed for no reason. the manger terry will kick you out for calling 311 .. your ac bill will be $350 to $400 for summer months they dont care... its very hot in the apartments 82 degrees everyday so beware.. everybody has this amount so dont move in here at all..every apartment has fleas I have been trying to get rid of fleas on my dog for 6 months and every time I get rid of them they just keep coming back the apartment says it will call a flea expert but you have to pay for it.. its the heat but I say no they have a lot of gates are always broken...they take 6 to 7 days to fix things.. but with mold they just spray paint it thats it....they do not answer the phone at all you always have to go up there... they also screen calls if they dont like you they will not answer the phone...they charge cleaning fees when you move out so you dont even get your deposit back at all just a small amount...terry always threating to kick you out....these apartments have major electoral issues instead of calling a electerian to check they call there own people which says that everything is fine

Honestly I have the worst luck picking apartments. We have had so many issues with them. Work orders not filled or things in apartment that takes months to fix. Leg injury due to gross negligence on apartments part. Apartment flooded due to backed up septic tank. They take their time getting it cleaned (not replaced) and anything damaged like an area carpet isnt their problem. The ladys are nice when your signing papers and moving in but that all changes dont get me started on how rude the manager is. Place has recently been remodeled on the outside but still you have huge roaches, wasps, and possible bedbugs. Definitely not worth it. Do NOT move here!

However, Shippy Properties has reallyGood office staff. I know I’ve gone into office very upset about things and Neisha has always been extremely professionally and kind to me. (Even when I wasn’t at my best - she was always at hers) Although, I’ve only had one issue handled by the property manager Tammy; she also did she in a professional and satisfactory manner. Yes, this property is older and has maintenance issues. However,It makes things easier to deal with when there is an accountable and friendly office staff one can turn to. Thanks ladies !!

March 24, 2016- DO NOT LIVE HERE!! I have lived here for almost two years and I am running away as fast as I can. These apartments have had 5-6 managers in less than 2 years. Several of them quit. A couple of them got fired. Ive lost count how many have come and gone. While the managers were here I would present them with a list of broken items in my home. Each one said theyd take care of it. None of them did before the quit or got fired. I finally decided to plea my case to Ascension, the company who manages these apartments. They were completely unhelpful and unreasonable. I have always paid rent in full and on time, yet no one cared to fix anything or even clean the apartment before I moved in. They said theyd clean my carpets when I renewed my lease. The manager quit before that was done. The next manager would not honor that agreement even though it was in writing. She said Id have to wait until the next time I renewed my lease. This tells me that they could clean my carpets but they were actively choosing not to. I thought being a good tenant meant things would be taken care of but thats not the case here. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING I have asked for was NEVER done on the day that was scheduled and most of it was never fixed at all. Not only does the management not care at all, but these apartments are trashy. There are roaches everywhere. The gate doesnt work 3/4 of the time. There is mold growing on the walls. The police are often called out for domestic issues. DO NOT LIVE HERE! They only want your money and they wont do anything for you!!!

Ive been out here almost five years and I havent had no problems personally but there is somethings I dont like and that is the constant change of managers. We finally get a good manager named Lucy she really cared and did her job and helped people the best she could. Sometimes when I go workout late at night shell still be in the office working and now I heard shes no longer with us thats sad when good people dont get noticed so here we go once again having to go through the same thing the other staff members are nice as well thou. It would be nice if the company took the residents into consideration. Another thing is the parking issue its ridiculous every since they changed it from us having our spots to first come first serve it was better the way it was. So now we have to pay if we want a reserved spot and I did last month and Im still waiting this issue is very frustrating. The maintenance is slow and when they come its either not done right or theyll say theyve completed it and havent. Other than that I like it out here and the apartments are spacious I just wish everything else I mentioned was better. Hope Lucy will come back she was awesome!!!

I have been living here for almost 3 years. In these 3 years there have been appx. 3 different owners. I have had the worst experience with every single one of them. I had a toilet that wouldnt flush properly since I moved in that just got changed out about 2 months ago. I had a roach infestation for about 6 months, and some are still lingering. I had a dishwasher that didnt work for an entire year and when they finally put a new one it that one didnt work either and after a month of telling them it flooded my apt. Now the worst part of this living experience is my CPS energy bill. I had an increase in my energy usage in January and so I contacted both CPS and the management at Star Club. CPS told me to contact my complex so they can check the unit and then they would send someone out as well. I contacted the front office and let them know of the situation and explained to them that my A/C was coming out hot. I let them know I have not turned on my heater this winter at all because there was no need, and they said they will send someone to check the unit. Fast forward to February my bill got EVEN HIGHER. My A/C is STILL coming out hot. I called CPS again to figured out what was going on and even they freaked out as to how high my bill was. I live in a one bedroom apt. Its just me and so there is NO reason my bill should be $ 265.00 for ONE MONTH. They told me it is not an issue on their end and I need to speak to my office managers. I advised the office manager of the situation. Provided graphs showing the ridiculous amount of KWs my apt. is using and she just told me that someone checked the gage on last month and nothing was wrong with it. Even after providing proof that something was wrong. So then she said she will have someone go check it out again, but to be aware that during the winter months I should expect my electric bill to be higher than normal. AGAIN this was after providing graphs, physical proof that there is something wrong with me unit. Its been more than 24hrs since I complained for the SECOND time to get them to fix the situation and still nothing has been done.

I could go on and on. I have lived here for awhile, and have to stay for awhile yet. Where to start...1. The air conditioner units are not large/strong enough to properly circulate air throughout the apartments. I imagine this is especially bad in the upstairs apartments. If you walk through the property, youll see window units in several apartments, because it is almost unbearable. This is a known problem, and management ignores the work orders for the a/c, because short of replacing every single unit in the complex, nothing will fix them. I know that this is a known problem because theyve admitted it at community meetings with other apartment complex personnel.2. Pet waste stations. They removed most of them. Im told there are others elsewhere on the property, but they arent in a convenient location for pet owners. What this causes is dog poop all over the property. I dont know why they would have taken them down, except maybe the maintenance guys were tired of having to empty the baskets and maybe they were tired of providing bags for the residents. And I see more dogs off leash than I do on leash.3. The renovations are a joke; lipstick on a pig, as they say. They took down everyones privacy fences and put up...well, Im not sure what to call them. A fence panel. No one has a private patio anymore. So everyones stuff is just out in the open for anyone to take as they please. They had the property painted (very sloppily) a horrid blue and dark grey color, and put up sheet metal to hide rotting wood. They also put the sheet metal on the sign out front, and now you have to pull almost into the street to see oncoming traffic.4. Work orders get completed whenever they feel like it. Two maintenance men for a property as old and as large as this one is not sufficient.5. Parking is not assigned, except now theyre selling parking spaces to residents. $10/mo for a non-covered space, and $25/mo for a covered space. The covers are rickety and you never know if a good storm will blow the metal down onto your car (Ive seen it blown down in two spots in my time here, but I dont think any cars were parked in those areas at the time). There is very little to no lighting around the property in general, but also underneath the covered parking. Whats more, there are broken down and wrecked cars all over the property that they dont seem to care enough about to tow, but want to sell the spaces around them and if you park in an assigned one, youll likely get towed.This review is as honest as I can make it, and I hope anyone reading it who is considering living here will take it into consideration in their apartment search.

Cool place I dont live here but friends of mine do nice apartment but the rent is little high but what do I know I own my own home and pay 650 for 3/2 on 1 acre.... but still quite neighbors all look out for shaddyness going down so 7 out 10 imo

It been 3 weeks since i moved here and already want to move out. When my wife and I moved in I notice the A/C wasnt work working right it was having a hard time keeping the apartment cool so i called and told them about it 3 weeks goes by and nothing all they done is make a new vent in the apartment and now my A/C goes out and Its over a 90 degrees i called the emergency maintenance they would come but never show up. I had to take my kids to there grandpa house. ..... plz listen before you get stuck here dont come here at all

My name is shelia. Me and my husband anthony, just moved here a day ago, and i must say tami and her staff made the moving process very easy. They are very nice people, and really listened to me and my husband. The apartment is beautiful!!! We had no issues at all on moving day. I am so glad we made the decision to move here. The apartments were infested with roaches. It was a horrible experience. They always had cops in and out the apartments and it wasn’t a safe environment.

DONT EVER MOVE HERE!!!! When I first moved in the apartment was filthy and I opened the dishwasher and it fell on me and all sorts of holes in the wall they did horrible patch jobs. Forget about trying to get any maintenance things fixed they say submit it online you do it says reviewed and they never come. They are rude to you in the office when you point out the issues. Sat in my apartment for 2 days with my ac being at 89 and they told me theres people that there ac is at 95 idk how that made mine any less important. Water is always shut off for supposed leaks sometime without warning probably why the water bill is so high...Water bill is 73.00 a month and no detailed bill is ever provided!!! The people they let move in here are just slum along with a bunch of bad kids. Let people have foil on there windows when it states in pur lease this is not allowed. Car has been broken into 3 times. Gate apparently doesnt work ever... I am so happy to be moving from this hell hole!!!!!
