I loved it here before this year. I’m pregnant and due any day so I cannot move like I want to. It took me months to get my new lease and rent went up without me even being notified 30 days before. They still charged me incorrectly and I was never told beforehand that I’d be paying $100s of dollars for outstanding water! Management was good about notifying years before. My ac condensation line drips outside by my front door and it looks terrible. I have shown maintenance and put information into front office, still nasty looking. I put in a work order, and even had maintenance and new management here to see, for my kitchen sink and was never fixed. I look online to find out they marked work order complete! I’m 8 months pregnant and have to carry a bowl full of smelly water from my kitchen sink to dump out every single time I use my kitchen sink. I cannot get my kitchen fully cleaned until this is done and my baby will be here any day.Nobody is responsive and it takes me going into the office to get things done. Mind you the last time I went I was told not to touch anything because a covid positive tenant just went in, no mask! Not the apartments fault but can they start answering the phones so we do not have to risk that?Something has to change here. Trying to be patient.
The swimming pool has been repaired all summer, and the car washing equipment has been broken for half a year. After the warranty, it will show that it has been resolved, but it has not been repaired at all. I want to use the APP to open the door. After registering for a few months, I can’t use it. I went to the office and couldn’t solve it so I continued to wait. I have a lighting repair that has been waiting for a month and has not been resolved. My wife bought something on Amazon. We went to the office to pick it up after it was shown that it was delivered. After that, we went to the office many times within a week and told me that without this package, we can only refund on Amazon. And 2 months later, I went to the office again to get a new package, but took out the previous package again. I wonder how they work. I dont want to give a star if I can
As everyone else has mentioned. This apartment has the worst service ever. I have been following up with them on atleast 7 maintenance requests since more than 2 months. No one has bothered to come by. All I hear is we are working on it. The crew dug 3 large holes in my walls to check for some plumbing issue 3 months ago and no one has fixed it yet. My dryer isn’t working properly because the apartment refuses to fix the vent pipe. Useless management- I am stuck here because I just renewed my lease! Zero stars would also be a lot for this community!
Just like other reviews management is the worse I’ve ever experienced in my life. Nothing gets done, every time I call I’m told “ok I’ll call you in an hour to give you all the information” or “I’ll give you a call back by the end of the day at max to answer your question.” I’ve yet to receive any calls. They never follow through. Anytime I go into the office “there’s nothing we can do.” “Maintenance has to do that and we don’t know when they’ll have time.” Something as simple as having my mail key is a headache. Wish I would’ve listened to these reviews before signing the lease. What a headache. Mind you I’ve only lived here less than a month.Plus the office lady’s are so passive aggressive who don’t seem to know anything about the complex or have ANY answers whatsoever.
Came to get a tour and information about the apartments. I would not recommend coming here at all. Leasing agent sat the whole time, didnt get up once, didnt offer for us to sit either. She couldnt show me anything today but could tomorrow ? Not sure how that works. Felt she was rushing me out. She wasnt rude but the whole experience and environment was terrible. I expected a level of professionalism and it wasnt there. If this is how business is conducted at the location from the beginning, I dont want know imagine what it would be like actually living there.
Elevation looks great, but I wouldnt suggest living in here. I have been waiting for my lease to end. Have created an Emergency Work order for Bad Odor which is coming from Bath Room Drains. Waited for 3 days, they did not show up. Walked in to office in person to let them know about the issue, they said someone will be there. Next day it is becoming worse, its like we cant close the doors. We have to let the air flow. I called them, response was that they cant send anyone right now as it is not considered as an Emergency. I have a 4 yrs old daughter and she is getting sick since yesterday. I cant even risk to rent a hotel now due to Corona Virus. Its like you are living in a hell.Its been 3 months living here, and paying for 2 BD/2 BR. But I have been using one bath room since day 1.If I were you I would think twice before moving in here.
I lived at this location for 2 years. I left very unimpressed. Parking is atrocious. We had 2 residents in our apartment, and the office would not give more than 1 parking sticker. There is a constant trash problem. They force residents to use a trash concierge service. Residents leave piles of trash outside their doors and on the ground even on days there is no pick up. The trash compactor isnt big enough for a community this size. There is frequently a large pile of garbage in front of the compactor, which looks absolutely lovely. There is minimal access to recycling. There are 2 blue bins that are meant to service the entire community. For clarification, these are 2 standard garbage can sized bins. We had constant issues with roaches from day 1. Despite having pest control come frequently, they were never completely eradicated.The unit I was in was an unrenovated unit, which I didnt mind. The appliances worked well enough, but upon move out I was charged a resurfacing fee for both showers. Those showers were left in the same condition in which they were received. Be very aware they if you move into one of these units they may try to charge you for pre-existing conditions that were present when you moved it. Take lots of pictures to cover yourself. I do not recommend living here.
Not worth the Market price. Corporate needs to be held accountable-.Ive lived here for almost a year with my wife, and cat, and in that time, we have been without AC for a little more than a month on 2/25/2021 through 4/7/2021, . AC was temporally fixed and blew only half as cool (even with the thermostat all the way down) with new management that eventually gave out again on 5/25/2021, Before new management we had no issues with calling the front office, or with the work orders we put for the AC, however the new management seems like they do not have any system in place to keep track of their work orders, our work orders have been marked as complete and we would still be sitting in our apartment complex at 2am to almost suffocating dry heat, mind you, in the Texas summer heat, The only reason we have our AC functioning this day is the constant persistence we had to do (on our days off) to get ahold of someone. Such as even having to walk down to the front office just to speak with someone about this issue, otherwise we would still be sitting here in Texas summer heat 2 months till our lease is up. We have paid over 1000+ to be dealing with the new management for the most part of our lease, with no accommodation whatsoever, no reply from corporate who I feel is the main culprit since the front office can only do so much and is there for mainly customer assistance, although it seems like they have no knowledge of information on laws regarding what a customer can do in certain situations like this, I have been met with I wouldnt know about that I cant say anything regarding this You would have to contact corporate on this I can not speak for the owner, or corporate, The only piece of information I was given was You can not do anything legally in Texas regarding a broken AC Unit, I believe leaving this review will do something, and someone can know what they might be signing up for when considering these apartments, No reduction on rent for the time it took to repair the AC, No reply from the owner of the property also.With all that being said, the new maintenance crew that has visited to look at our AC today on 7/02/2021 has been awesome and it feels like they know what they are doing, they are professional and courteous.Our AC is working now 7/2/2021, (which would be a little more than a month since it has been out) which is 2 months from our lease end date.**Other Important information that might be useful/ or notes that I found inconvenient for the amount you pay.**-The reviews on the apartment complex are very similar to ours-Some reviews seem to be fake, seem to be.-No security (they dont offer but I thought it was important for someone to consider ( our car has been broken into) (mail boxes were broken into at one point) They did put burglar bars on the mailboxes now, so they are trying to look into that.-Almost no space to park at times.This has been our experience and wanted to put this information out thereEsmeralda at the front office has been amazing which she was here before new management, Best of luck to anyone reading this, Have a good day.
Update: 3/26/2021:We have moved out of our apartment due to purchasing a home in the area. Move out process went as smoothly as it could. It had some bumps but it was caused by things out of everyones control such as new ownership switch right when we put in our notice and the freeze messing with things. The management was very helpful and understanding and made it so our leaving was as great as our moving in. I would like to thank the new management for doing such a great job in the short time that I have interacted with them (management changed in February), and Im sure they are going to continue doing their best as time goes on for future tenants.Update:Our AC stopped cooling as well as normal. Maintenance was at our apartment within a couple of hours of the work order being put in online. They cleaned and flushed the AC and put in new Freon to help prep for summer! AC works great now, most likely better than before!Moved in here earlier this month. We visited the apartments back in December, applied online, and had the apartment held the same day. No wait times, no tricks or lies, our quote was in the system correctly. No issues with lease signing, the apartment kept in contact with anything needed prior to move in.Moved in and anything on the move in check list was fixed within two weeks. I didnt even expect anyone to come in to address the things I was being nit picky about, but they did!Apartment was in great shape, nothing horribly wrong. The place smelled clean which was nice. The AC keeps everything cold and the heater keeps everything warm, Im sure that the AC may struggle in the summer since I have so many windows (I LOVE the number of windows we have here!) but well find out then!Everyone was upfront and honest about everything, Ive only had great experiences with the office staff and its nice being in a neighborhood where kids are out playing in the evening.
The most unprofessional unreliable place that I’ve ever experienced in my life. I signed a lease for the 15th the apartment is not gonna be available for 15 and now they don’t want to refund me my money Do not go with these people if you know what’s good for you. They are unprofessional and they lie and they are unreliable. the place is disgusting. I now have to find a place by 5/19. I’m going report them to the Better Business Bureau and sue them.
Overpriced cheap apartments that look “good” on the outside. I’d look somewhere else. All these 1 star reviews don’t lie.
No one answers the on-call after hours calls or returns voice messages. The perimeter is not secure or gated, a person from the candlewood suits next door came knocking on my doorstep. Also been without AC for three weeks. Also the restrooms at the pool are locked.
As a professional courtesy i was calling on behalf of a resident, and the employee said i called multiple times, and before i could explain the situation they said the couldnt give out the information without hearing the reason i was calling...please whoever reads this...i would suggest customer service training, and proper listening skills, because if this happened to me who knows how many times this happens on a daily basis.
New management as of Mid-February. They are not requiring residents to pick up their packages in the office. Pretty sure this isnt a good idea with Covid-19 still rampant. Cant wait to move from this place.

We lived in this place for about 2 years, we moved into our new home recently. I was charged about $900 because I didn’t leave the apartment in the same condition when I rented 2 years ago. They expect to have no stains on the carpet, no marks on the wall. The floor in these apartment is like sticker on the floor and always ripped off as you moved around furniture, they will charge you for that as well.If you have kids, and you can maintain to leave the apartment’s condition immaculate, then go for it, otherwise be prepared for extra charges when you move out. Parking is always another issue in this place. I would not recommend this community for any of my friends or family. I would prefer canyon ridge apartments in stone oak.
What a thoughtful layout, very clean and gated apartment community. Parking lot is clean and we sit nicely on a hill. Love it here, minus 1 star for the exit.
We live there for a year and a half ... and our experience was very pleasant. The location of the complex is perfect, close to a supermarket, pharmacy, restaurant, good schools, gym ... in short, a good place to live. I recommend it!!! the administration staff (Rachel) and maintenance, excellent !!! I would definitely rent there again !!!
The property management has consistently displayed professionalism during our business exchanges as well as a kind attitude that has made our stay over the past year much more enjoyable. Wed also like to commend Travis from maintenance. He has provided excellent service and has even successfully repaired the fallen shelves in the closet of the master bedroom after his colleague was unsuccessful at trying to repair it.
Thinking about moving here? Heres some tips.1. The valet trash will only pick up two bags Sunday - Thursday, and ONLY if they fit in a small office trashcan. Otherwise, (see my pic) of the dumpster the office expects you to utilize. This service is a waste of $352. The ONLY internet provider that services this place is AT&T and you can only get up to a paltry 100mbps for around 70/mo. Dont move here if your looking for faster speeds. Spectrum says the property has to talk to them about servicing the area (likely to add infrastructure)3. Everything is broken, Im not exaggerating when I say this. Ive had maintenance here more times than anyone else I know, might as well hangout with them at this point.4. Management is constantly conducting some kind of annoying audit, in the apartment or garages. Keep in mind that this is being written during a 2nd spike of covid-19 cases, and theyre insisting to come into your apartment to inspect the unit.Edit 7-19-215. The power goes out EVERYTIME it rains. Lighting or not, heavy or light rain, we lost power every time there was rain.6. The restrooms in the pool are always locked, even with the pool open.7. The pool stays closed during the summer months for long periods of time.
I really enjoyed my stay here! Relocated to SA in Feb and Rachel and the leasing staff were always courteous and quick to get any maintenance issues I had resolved ASAP (always showed urgency even when I stated it was nothing major lol).I felt safe at this complex and its surrounded by great shopping and eating options. I decided not to renew my lease only because the construction was a hassle on my daily commute ... but honestly, now Im realizing thats pretty much anywhere.I had a pretty sweet deal on a 1bedroom during my stay, so hopefully by Spring/Summertime I can find something similar again there and move back to The View.
With so much frustration, I am writing this review. My app to access laundry room was reset and I needed to configure it again. I needed the help from the leasing office to help me setup. I have called several times (around 20 times) since last week, no one cares to respond me back. Its just a small thing they need to do from their end but they are not responsive. I have given a good rating for the apartment amenities and the place, but these things are worst. They need to really work on improving their service for existing residents. :-(

The View guys do not have effective pest control. The surroundings are also not clean. The management office is inefficient and not very helpful in resolving the resident concerns. In summer there are a lot of bugs.
It easy to understand why they call it The View because thats exactly what I see everytime I walk out my door. The View of the city is beautiful!The grounds around here have always been good but the new landscaping updates are lovely. I love waking my dog everyday here.By far the best part is Rachel in the office. She always has time to talk to me about not just my concerns or needs but how my day is. She is thoughtful, courteous and always has a answer with a smile. If I ever need anything shes on it right away. She has made living here an absolute pleasure.
The move in process from start to finish was great thanks to the help from our angel Rachel! She helped us through the whole process and was able to fix issues that came up. Rachel was completely on top of things, we could not have done our move in without her. She is wonderful! Everyone in the office and maintenance are extremely nice and helpful. Maintenance tries to fix issues as quickly as possible. Community is very nice and quiet. The only issue we have is parking. People with garages don’t actually use their garage which takes away from people who don’t have a garage. Wish we didn’t have to worry about where we’re going to park for the night. Other than that we are extremely happy at the View!
Best apartments Ive ever lived in. These apartments was my 1st one bedroom apartment and Ive had nothing short of an amazing experience with them. The office staff are extremely kind and always willing to help and make sure whatever problems youre having get fixed ASAP. Rachel is the best one of all. With helping me with getting situated with my apartment when I 1st moved in, until now shes always been there to help with whatever issues I had. If you are wanting to live in great apartments that has a staff that truly cares about their residents & their need, these are the apartments to live at.
I would not even give this management even one star. I moved to this property in last week of February and the property manager was very confident about providing all services and maintenance on time.I have been complaining them from day one about the dishwasher which does not work, refrigerator does not work properly, floor floods when it rains and already damaged my couches twice, pests control isn’t done properly, and this can go on and on. I really dont understand why am i even paying this people rent. This a clear fault of the management. This people don’t pick up calls, dont reply emails. Even if you at a response thru email, you see any kind of respect for you.The maintainance guys are very helpful but due to lack of providence of equipments their hand are tighten to help tenants.If someone wants to come visit my apartment before leasing with this people, please feel free to contact me at [email protected]. Top-notch complex! Been here almost one year, and if I wasnt moving soon I would stay until they made me leave. Rachel was super accommodating during the application and move-in process. The maintenance staff genuinely cares about issues. And the amenities are great. The whole clubhouse was recently renovated and is beautiful. Highly recommend View at Encino Commons. Great complex in a great location!

The apartments are very average here. The maintenance is slow and inefficient. Most of all, it is very insecure. The gate is for namesake. Too many thefts in the society. My kids bike for stolen twice in a year. Stay away from here. The cars get broken into and management does nothing about it. There are multiple insecure entrance and exit here. The only reason people live here is because it is in a good school zone.

I had a worst move out experience from The View at Encino Commons. They charged me certain amount and without telling me they send my account and information to collection agency within 10 days of my move out . They never sent me any copy of the bill for which I was charged the certain amount. The collection agency sent me a letter without the bill and asked me to pay the amount. After a week from receiving the letter, i got a call from the collection agent and he started to harass me and threatening me that if I don’t pay the bill then and there he will ruin my credit report. Now, i have no idea if this person is legit because i never got anything from The View. The collection agent was also against me calling The View to ask for the bill. I never saw the bill, i never saw what and why were the charges made but i had to pay the bill. It was almost like extortion.
I definitely recommend the view. The staff is very polite and helpful especially Rachael “Thank You” for walking me thru the process and going above and beyond. The property is very quiet and definitely a place for family living. The maintenance guys are very helpful and will get the job done for you if your experiencing any issues....Thanks Brandon I appreciate you. I am very happy with our new place.Thank You

We have had quite a few concerns at the time of move in which were not being dealt with professionally by certain members of the leasing team. The apartment was clearly not move in ready. These five stars are reserved for Travis who has gone above and beyond to address our concerns! Keep up the good work Travis!!
Weve been here a year at are very pleased. Shanae and Rachel have been quick to respond to any of our maintenance requests or any issues we might have. The property is quiet as well. The landscape for the property is nice and there are a lot of amenities. Overall though, its the office staff that make it pleasant living here. Hands down the best property weve ever lived at.
My wife and I moved in to The View at Encino Commons about two months ago. We moved here from Miami Florida. Angel and Rachel were so helpful in assisting us with the online application and made the move in process so easy. They go above and beyond for us and make us feel so welcome here. This is a beautiful property and we are so happy to call it our home. If you are looking for a place to live you need to call Rachel or Angel. My wife and I moved in last August 2016 while it was under the old management company. We were pleased with the size of the apartment and the location, however, we ran into a lot of issues with our unit. And the old management never really followed through with our requests. NOW! The new management staff are just absolutely awesome. They put so much effort into making sure that we are satisfied with our living situation and it makes it that much easier to live here. All the maintenance staff are great too! All in all, our lease was up here in May, and because of the new staff and management, we are gladly renewing our lease, we are excited about all the changes that are coming and renovations!
Since my husband and I moved in it’s been an amazing experience. All the staff is awesome, Jade has helped us from the application process to the helping us with work orders. Nothing but wonderful and helpful staff working here.

Rent here is like Gold Price, Rent is not fixed & the lady Esmeralda says it changes everyday according to the market price means they update the rent amount every morning. Be careful & try to lock/sign the lease on the same day u see the apartment as there r chances of rent going up till the day u signed.
My husband and I visited our daughter and decided to stay in SA for a little before moving back to Florida. We fell in love with this community and our apartment and just could not leave. We said we would renew one more time but 10 months has turned in 3 1/2 years. The only reason that we have not gone back to FL is because we LOVE our apartment, our view, the community location, the community itself (its beautiful), the friendly residents and especially the Views TOP NOTCH staff. Its rare when you find a community that actually cares. Rachel, Angel, Nicole and Jade are absolutely amazing. Not sure when and if we are still going to head back to Florida but right now, we know that The View will remain our home. Its a great safe place to live with friendly residents and staff. We LOVE IT here!
Ive lived here for four years and this new management is awesome!Recently we had an emergency maintenance issue and needed our AC looked at ASAP for medical reasons. They took care of it all within an hour! We notified the front office who sent over maintenance and we were so grateful to have it taken care of. Maintenance staff even have us a portable AC unit to have in case it went out overnight.I recommend these apartments. Any successful business requires great communication like the staff implemented that day.
This management is bad news, I would be wary about even applying for an apartment here, we had issues with them not honoring a written agreement. We went to look at the apartment on a Saturday, we were told they could hold the apartment and the rate for 48 hours, I asked for this in writing and was provided a quote print out listing the apartment number, rate as well as an expiration date. We went to the apartments to apply on Sunday only for it to be closed when the business hours clearly stated it was open so we were forced to apply online and pay the application fee in order to make sure the apt and rate was held. We called on a Monday to check if everything was ok and we were told it was never held and was already leased out and there were no more available. We asked for our application fee back since we were allowed to apply under false pretenses and the management refused. We are now back at square one with less money in our pockets because they don’t honor their written agreements.
BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!Management and personnel are very unprofessional, Nicole and Christina do not know how to speak to residents with respect and understanding when dealing with service repairs.My daughter had to relocate for 2 weeks at the start of her lease do to the apartment being filthy and an inoperable toilet., which was the first indication that this location was not a good choice, She had to contract her own cleaning service and pay out of pocket, she was reimbursed for the cleaning through deduction in rent but no compensation for the time out of her apartment. Early in her lease she started having A/C issues and they were slow to repair, here we are almost a year later and still the issues remain. They do not respond to service repairs in a timely manner.I hope there is never a need for emergency vehicles because that place does not know how to comply with parking or red zones.Please do your research and think long and hard about the kind of treatment you deserve.
This place is absolutely terrible. I don’t Even live here but my boyfriend does and it has been a nightmare. For me to be writing this review when I’m not the one living here must mean that this place is pretty bad. He moved into an apartment that looked pretty bad but was promised that everything will be fixed and cleaned by move in. Move in comes along and nothing had been fixed and the place was hardly cleaned. It’s been 5 months and the things that were supposed to be fixed are still not fixed despite him telling the front office multiple times over the past 5 months. We keep getting promised that things will be fixed but nothing ever happens. It is an absolute joke. This place cares more about putting Christmas lights up than making sure the residents are happy and that things are in working order. Don’t be fooled by how it looks on the outside because the inside is atrocious.
Moved in the middle of September and the apartment was not ready. Wasn’t told until 3 days after move in that another apartment was suppose to be offered before moving in. After countless of work orders (sometimes repetitive because orders were closed without actually being done [also the reason for this review because I’m fed up]) just to get the apartment in livable conditions the apartment is still not, in my opinion, “luxury” by any means. I still live with broken blinds, kitchen counter coming up, warped doors, outdated water and light fixtures, cabinet laminate coming off, etc.My hope for this review is that it reaches somebody that actually cares about this apartment complex and it’s tenets because as of now everyone I have talked to that works here doesn’t actually care. If they did I wouldnt have had to remind them to do their job the last 4 months.
From the moment that I moved in I have had problems with getting the office to listen to my request. I don’t recommend anyone moving here unless you want to deal with service request being ignored and when they do get responded to have the trash left behind with a badly done job. I currently am with a damaged front door jam that was left worse than before when maintenance came to “fix it” and reported to the office that it had been completed. As well as a broken shower rod by the people that came to fix the mold on my ceiling. The list can go on and on but at this point I just want something to be done and to warn other people about the things that I’ve been dealing with since I moved in. If anyone knows what I can do to take matters to another level please let me know.
My husband and I have lived here for almost two years and will not be resigning. Our A.C has gone out over 6 times since weve been here and each time instead of properly fixing it they just keep adding Freon. Now after two nights of no A.C in out apartment the front desk has told me that they have other work orders ahead of our small issue... I dont think no A,C is a small issue considering we live in Texas.
Beautiful on the outside and inside! Peaceful area so no disturbances. manager and leasing agents are kind. Maintenance gets any problems done as soon as you report it. food places are very convenient, so that’s a huge plus!!
Just moved here from Frisco Texas to attend school, was excited until I moved in. There’s Roaches, and mildew in the windows from the water seeping through here. My apt was sprayed for roaches on Monday, and I’m still seeing roaches a week later. Rachel part of the office staff has been great, but my experience so far with all else hasn’t been good at all!

We have been here for 4 years and everything is very clean, maintenance is being great with the new Manager and team very professional outstanding, I hope you keep this new management for ever they are simply great.thank you to the Manager, I wish I could stay longer but by the end of February I am heading back home. They have done a facelift but Not a decent property at all...my kids couldnt really enjoy the pool as it was usually unkempt, unclean & just not a comfortable space.They did a total Reno of the office, which is gorgeous BUT, does Not Reflect the Property At All (Very misleading)...there is a certain culture of people there that swarm out in the evenings, they dont watch their kids, who are running all through the parking lots, theyre everywhere, (little kids, etc).I would Stay Away- they make it look & seem way better than it is...We had a crazy experience from the beginning & were actually warned against these Apts...We had moved from out of town & needed an address, so we settled. LOOK Anywhere Else !!
Im a former tenant at The View and let me tell you these apartments are the best apartments youll find in San Antonio for the price Id still be living there if I didnt switch occupations it has an amazing view over the city and the staff are super nice, a little judgy but nice there is one employee in particular that stood out from the rest for her friendliness fast work and ability to understand the tenant and not make them feel judged her name is Rachel so if youre looking to get an apartment there ask for her shell treat you right but like I said these apartments are honestly the best I found in San Antonio for the price its in great location and an amazing place to call home Id recommend them to anybody looking to step their apartment class up.
My husband, myself and our new baby moved into these apartments with high hopes, only to have had an unpleasant experience living there. However, I will safely give an OK 3 star review due to the awesome new management team, Draper & Kramer, that has recently taken over. The receptionist Rachel, and the manager Shanae, were helpful to us and took care of every problem we encountered within the first couple weeks of moving in...Whoever managed the apartments before them clearly neglected the property and they are doing their best to get this place up and running properly. The new maintenance team were great and helpful to our needs as well. The reason we moved out after 3 weeks of living there was due to an on going roach problem. Pest control sprayed our apartment several times and did a walk through of entire building to find the source of the problem. We were told that they found the source with tenants living within close proximity of us and they were on top of things to take care of it as soon as they could. The move out process was smooth and Shanae helped us get moved into a new apartment at their sister property that we now love. Will i recommend the View at Encino Commons to my friends and family? Probably not. My advice to you would be to make sure that you walk through the actual apartment that you will be leasing before you sign anything. Meet and talk to your potential neighbors to get a feel for it, read reviews and most definitely, do not rush into signing anything.
Ive heard stories of past experiences with past management. Despite that the new staff especially Pie and Yassey are professional, personable, and knowledgeable. The site is neat and the constant upgrades are evident. Conveniently located for food, shopping, sports, and fun. I feel safe and at home here.

Notices for $60 delinquent balances placed on every door. When asked management about the bill, their response was we did that to every tenant to see if we can get those that owe to pay, but your account is up to date and you dont have to pay. Then in January we asked management if we could extend our lease for 3 months and were told yes. But because we didnt sign a lease we now have 2 weeks to get out. Apparently they rented out our apartment already with no damn courtesy call to let us know. Keep looking..... Dont live here!
Ive lived here alittle over a year and I love living here. Its so quiet and the people are very nice. Management is great too. I absolutely love how you enter your apt from street level. And you walk up your own private stairs. Such a great place to live. The landscaping could use some work but the new management are on top of that. Great place for familys.

We moved down here from Oklahoma during my husbands transition out of the army. We had been talking for 2 weeks to one of the leasing agents getting things in order for our arrival. When we arrived (cars packed to the brim with things, 3 kids, and a dog) they had no idea we were coming. The agent we talked to no longer worked there. They had no file on us, no idea what specials we were promised, nothing. They showed us the apartment we were told would be ours and it looked as if someone had moved out 5 minutes prior to our arrival. It was filthy. They called someone to clean the rugs and were told it had to be replaced. We had to stay in a hotel over the weekend due to their incompetency. When Monday arrived, it still wasnt finished. We had to fight to keep the deal that we were initially promised. They tried to put us in a smaller apartment, but we rejected it. After they finally finished cleaning the apartment, we were able to move in. The shelves in the fridge are broken and the blinds in one of the bedroom fell because they used weak brackets to try and secure them. We told them the week that we moved in, because this shouldve been taken care of prior to move in. They told us we had to place a work order for something that SHOULD HAVE been fixed. They also only gave us one key FOB for the garage and the gate, but we both work so this is impractical. The lease even states we will be provided with 2, but each time I bring it to the attention of the office they dance around and have a pocket full of excuses. Not to mention they never gave us a mailbox key. They didnt provide a key. And even if they had, they never told us that we had to open our mailbox and fill out a slip to let the post office know the residence wasnt vacant. So today when they FINALLY let us into OUR mailbox that weve been having important documents sent to, we find out everything has been getting returned to the sender because we were never informed of this form or given a key. THIS PLACE IS THE MOST INCOMPETENT PROPERTY MANAGEMENT I HAVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH. DO NOT RENT HERE. As soon as our lease is up, we will be running from this apartment sight and never returning.
Ive lived here for 4 months already and I moved in after agreeing to a lease online and over the phone because i was moving from overseas. I was a little concerned with some previous comments, but since Ive been here Ive been thoroughly happy with office staff, maintenance, property value and upkeep, amenities and location.

Bait and Switch type of sales tactics. A temp showed me a 2 bed, 2 bath and promised I would be overseeing the pool if I applied that day. The app fee/deposit is $150, oh and may I add it must be cash/money order. Based on good faith I paid this, filled out app and was assured everything was good to go. Called 2 days later and same temp told me I was set to go and she would call me next day to fill out lease. 4 days went by and no one called me. So I called in and to my surprise she was no longer with company and no notes of what she promised me and my kids. Therefore, the manager assigned me another unit because thats what I was paying for. Forget what the employee showed me and promised me, who cares right? Do not fall for seeing the model apt- that is not the one they will assign you once you pay the $150. After 3 days of back and forth, I decided to contact Draper and Kramer and speak to Jim Hannon, the Regional Director. May I add the temp also informed me the place was full of Indian People. Talk about Fair House Practice discrimination. The next day, the asst mgr. called and told me they will honor a smaller apt next to the pool. I rejected it because if I have to fight tooth and nail for what they promised me and under delivered, I dont even want to imagine what it would be like to work with this office. I ran as fast as I could from this place.

Although I had bad experience in the past with the old manager and management company, I recently got in touch with the new property manager,Lacey, and was quite pleased with her. She listened to my issue that no had there had done in the last 10 months. She took care of it right away and was super helpful!
Facilities maintenance was very poor (the door was falling off the mechanical room on my building for a year, literally). Trash service was inconsistent and often didnt get picked up. When the place is fully rented there is no parking; parking regulations were not enforced. Its very hard to drive in the parking lot due to residents walking 4-5 people across without regard. The mailboxes get broken into, the gate is often broken. My A/C broke five times in 15 months, they kept putting Freon in, that doesnt last. The window over my stairs was leaking and destroying the wall, it took me three service requests for them to do anything about it and even then it still did a little.The office staff is lovely, though! I think theyre trying to make it better, but there was no way I was staying.

We lived here for two years. Horrible customer service by the staff. Had to call the maintenance staff out weekly or more in the middle of the summer for the AC until they replaced it about two months after. Asked multiple times to have the ice maker fixed and they never fixed that. The apartment was dirty when we moved in and needed repairs. They did all of them but one even though we complained about it multiple times over the two years. Every time it rained, the fireplace leaked and instead of fixing the leak they just kept patching and repainting the drywall. Run as fast as you can from this place!
I am a patient tenant who understands things happen and as long as the staff communicates, fixs things in a timely manner, and properly I have no issues with that. This is not the case with this property. I have lived here for five months and I havent had a sound apartment yet. Mold on my walls (after tuetsecond repair)and roof, leaky windows, countless broken items. Ill get promises that things are going to be fix quickly and no one ever comes. At all! Im frustrated and tired. I do not reccommend this property to my worst enemy.

Horrible management. They offered me a unit, I went back with all my paperwork and ready to pay at the time they told me to go back and they didnt honor anything they said. They acted like I made everything up. I drove from another city just for that. They were not even apologetic
This is worst community one can ever expect in San Antonio. A bunch of Mavericks and foolish service agents you would see at the leasing office. Thieves and goons . Not a community to stay . Unhealthy, dirty, pests, insects, flies, bedbugs and many more. House conditions and interiors are one of the worst quality you can imagine. I strict NO whosoever wants to go there. I somehow made my way out and I am happy now. Not at all a good bargain for the value of money you pay as rent.
The apartment community sells itself, it is beautiful and the location is perfect. However, we cannot say the same about the office staff and management team. About 3 weeks in we noticed that we were waking up with red lesions. Come to find out that we were being bitten by bed bugs. The office staff and management immediately placed blame on us even though we told them that we know that the location where we had previously kept our furniture and belongings did not have a bed bug infestation. After two weeks of getting bitten up they finally sent someone out and told us that we would have to pay for the treatment, which came out to about $300. After countless phone calls and conversations with the office staff we finally received a call from the property manager stating that we would not have to cover the cost of treatment. That is only one of many unpleasant experiences with the staff at this property, we could go on and on. We would definitely NOT recommend leasing at this property.
My family and I moved in 1 1/2 yr. ago. Since before moving in it has been a nightmare here. We where told we would be able to get my child enrolled in school prior to moving since we where already scheduled to move in. That was not true they would not sign the lease till the day of the move in, which they failed to do till a week later. Since the move in it has been one maintain issue after another, and the front office never returns calls. They are extremely rude and have gone through 4 different property managers since being here. The only reason we have stayed as long as we have is because of the highly rated elementary school and honesty its not worth all this hassle. I finally got feed up our AC went out the day before Christmas and where told that they would not service since it was not over 80 degrees outside. Temp. reached 79 as of Christmas and finally convinced them to come out and was still not fixed. Please take careful consideration of the reviews on here.

I trued contacting the head office the accounting departmen t but bo one is ready to help me to get my paud deposits back the management is so really rude and disrespectFul Worst management ever day u see a new management who has no idea of what they are doing they didn’t send me a notice that my lease was getting over when I went to ask they said it’s getting over Nd I just had 15 days to look for a new house I asked if they had something availability Maline the team member told me yes they have one and asked me to come next day at 4 to get it final next day when I go there I see all new faces and they didn’t find my file and said the deal wasn’t ever approved I asked them that I want to leave they said I have to pay a prorated amount as I didn’t inform them 30 days prior I had to beg them to let me go it’s more then a month I went back to check if my deposit check is ready they said next week we will have the lot coming for it check and I haven’t heard anything never deal with this people they are liar and don’t know how to manage the worst place to live
