I drive around the apartment complex most nights for over an hour waiting for someone to glt to work out leave for work because there is no parking. Based on rough estimates their is just enough free, non handicap p!rking spots for maybe 1 spot per unit. They allow people to park commercial vehicles in much needed parking spots.They also just keep overloading residents into a place without parking and I assume with warning of them of other.They dont allow online payments if you had any problems with your account twice ever, not twice per lease term. The problem here isnthey changed their hours to be closed on Sunday and if thats in the first 3days, youre not getting the full amount of time required by the lease to turn in rent. I was told to turn it in earlier and thats tough to do since I own my own business and my job isnt 9-5. I turn it in when I can, because I cant pay online.I dont recommend this place. They dont fix anything in a timely manner. The pool was green for a month because they never fixed it. The gates were broken for the longest time. And they dont care about anything but money.

Very pleased with living at Avocet. Vicinity to everything makes it ideal, but the customer service makes it great. Any time there were issues, maintenance supervisor-Alex, went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of in a timely manner. He always made it a priority to take care of any/all issues no matter the time or the inconvenience. He truly made our stay here great-because he always exceeded our expectations and ALWAYS did it with a smile. He is the epitome of customer service!

My experience was unbelievably smooth! From touring the apartment to move-in, Stacey was welcoming and patient, answering every question I had. It was one of the easiest processes and I was able to get comfortable right away. I appreciate her and the staff incredibly!

After recently moving into Avocet I have had nothing but the BEST experience with the leasing office staff. They have a neat interior design and are perfect size for any family. They arent cramped and are very spacious for your furniture or other things youd like to move into it. The rooms are nice and perfect size for nearly any bed, and its easy to keep cleaned and tidy.

She gave my clear directions, profess and polite. She answered all my questions without fail. My need was met so much quicker than I’d imagined it would be and I never left my home or had to pick up the phone. Top notch!

We just moved here from another state with never visiting Texas and our realtor Karen Cannon helped with find the perfect apartment here in San Antonio! And let Let me just say. She nailed it! The customer care here at Avocet is AMAZING! We worked with Stacey Forester through this whole process and she made it very easy for us to feel comfortable, with answering any questions we had, with FaceTiming us to view our soon to be apartment, with everything! When arriving here she made us feel very welcomed! Our first impression of the apartments was wow, they were so beautiful, CLEAN, & super duper spacious and what we loved the most is that they are pet friendly! The maintenance guy Alex, was very friendly and welcoming! Coming from another state blind sided was a very scary jump but with the welcoming of all the people we’ve talked to, its been so much easier :) We 110% will recommend Avocet to anyone who is looking for an apartment in San Antonio!

The experience has been great at this apt complex and the staff have been truly helpful from stacey, annalisa and alex. They were professional at all times and resolved any issues in a timely manner. Only reason i am moving out is because my family needs a bigger space if not i would stay here for many more years.

The good: Annalisa was very courteous and quick to respond to my questions and concerns. My 1-bedroom is spacious, clean. The water pressure is GREAT! and so, I love living here so far. The negatives: I neglected to verify ahead of time that theres no elevators, not even freight ones, for moving, so if you select a third floor apartment, be sure you can handle the stairs. The first night I was awoken by a 3 am car alarm and so far one of the front gates seems stuck in an open position, which worries me about outsiders breaking in. But other than that I am quite happy here. I hope it will continue to be peaceful, clean and quiet.

Of the many apartments i have lived in prior to now, i have never had a leasing agent make me feel so welcomed. We recently moved here from California and these apartments made our life so much easier. Beautiful location. Tons of amenities!! The units are gorgeous on the inside as well. Stacey handled our application from start to finish. She is our absolute favorite and I would recommend asking for her for any of your future application needs. She will make you feel at home and welcomed and stress free during your moving process. Hands down Stacey is the best!!

Not a negative thing to say! Staff is AMAZING! Cecilia initially helped us find our one bedroom home and was so kind and welcoming! We decided to look into a two bedroom when our lease was up, and Diane and Stacey went above and beyond to guide us through the process! They kindly assisted us every step of the way! We can truly call this place our HOME! The entire complex is nice and relaxed.

After paying rent on time every month for a year, I moved out because I bought a house. Unbeknownst to me, the final bill for water and garbage doesn’t come till later. No one told me I would owe money when I moved out. No one ever called to tell me I owe money. Supposedly they sent a letter but I never received anything. Instead they sent the $97 bill to a collection agency. Who also didn’t contact me. And instead put a ‘Major Derogatory Comment’ on my credit report. As soon as I found all this out, I paid the lousy $97, which I would have paid on day 1 had I known. But the comment on my credit report can take 3 months to go away. But they don’t care. Very poor management. I had always recommended people rent there but now I tell people to stay away

My husband and I moved in a month ago now and we absolutely love it here. Everyone in the office is friendly, honest, and dependable. Every question/ concern I’ve had, they were quick to answer or fix it for me. Stacey gave us our tour, helped us with the leasing process, and still reaches out to check up on us to make sure we are doing okay and that we love our home. We are super glad we made the choice to come here.

Best looking apartments thus far. We saw many others, but Avocet was definitely above the rest. The staff is very friendly and helpful which made our transition there a lot easier.

Where can I start!The experience I have had with this complex is beyond what I can ask for. Stacey Forester was our leasing agent and helped my family and I move in as fast as she could. We were in a bad situation where a mortgage lender messed up our paperwork and essentially left us scrambling to find a place to live with such little time to look. I really needed a miracle with all the stress and hassle and Stacey rescued us! She was really busy and still managed to squeeze me in. I saw the way she handled other possible renters and I was impressed by her professionalism and work ethic. Go Stacey!We got a 2 bedroom apartment and love the interior and amenities! There is lots of space for a family of three. We are extremely thankful! Thank you Stacey and Avocet! The apartment impressed many members of our family and they are glad we are being taken care of by a great complex .

Alex from maintenance is always around to assist us with small things and keeps us up to date when maintenance requests aren’t addressed within a few hours. He goes above and beyond to help out.

My boyfriend an I recently moved here from California, it was obviously pretty stressful time. From the very beginning we worked with Stacey. She is absolutely amazing! She assisted us with the approval process to the final move in. She has been nothing short of sweet and helpful and always has a kind voice and a smile on her face, no matter how many questions we may ask. :) These Apartments are wonderful and if you are considering a move here, I hope you are as lucky as us and have the pleasure of having Stacey as your guide through the process!!

These apartments are very nice, grounds are kept very well pool area and gym are clean and let me say that Deidra and Stacey in the office are very professional and very nice they helped me with some issues i had with my key remote and they were awesome! Would recommend this place as your new home :)

I had a great experience here. There is a lot to do nearby and the office staff throws events weekly which is unique. The gym and the local park right down the street were great for exercise too. If I didnt relocate I would definitely still be at Avocet.

The application process has been nothing short of AMAZING. Stacey was prompt and quick when it came to questions and even pushing my move in date sooner in such short notice. The staff has been super friendly and professional!

I wrote a review when I first moved in and still agree that this is a beautiful property and that certain leasing agents are competent and professional. However, I believe leadership reflects a property. & the leadership here is not a good representation of Avocet. AT ALL. Diane is the property manager here, and at first she seems to be very pleasant, understanding, and nice.When I lost my job, I struggled to pay my rent and never downplayed that fact. I was always very transparent and resourceful until i no longer had a 401k or savings to pull from. I NEVER asked for them to not do their job. I understand the eviction process and the ability to cancel it as long as you are out prior to court date. We agreed for me to surrender the apartment, cancel any eviction, and work on a payment plan. (which is all in writing) but Of course this didnt happen.NOT ONLY did she file and go through with appearing in court (AFTER TELLING ME I DID NOT NEED TO GO since she could dismiss it from her office), she sued me for the rent amount(which was correct) but in addition to this, she turned around and reported $10,000 to the credit/collections agency! yup. you read that right! I was only sued for rent of 2,800.20 to be exact. so how do you go from 2 to 10???? She stacked as many non applicable charges against me as she could. If this was accurate and honest, why not sue me for the $10,00 when you had the chance? Its just myself and my son. My total amount of debt isnt even $10,000.I showed my court documentation to the collections agency, they in turn questioned Diane and she denied ever going to court or having knowledge of the judgement. Crazy right? Because the only way for a judgment to happen is if someone files and follow through with the suit. So thats what? Lie # 3 or #4? As a result, the amount was properly adjusted to what I originally owed for the rent.There was also a time to where she did not want to post my money order, just in case i wouldnt be able to pay the rent the next month. Her words. I recapped the conversations via email, and then and only then did she back track and post my rent. I say all of this to say, with whatever business you do, any arrangement, work order, ANYTHING big or small, make sure it is in writing. I am not writing this review to be petty because I can assure you i have EVERYTHING in writing. Shes very judgmental, extremely dishonest, and just not the kind of person to trust. I planned on leasing from here again, but the more I learned about how this entire process was handled the more turned off I am from this property. Id wait until they are managed by someone else to move here.

I’ve had a very pleasant experience with Amanda during my registration process. She’s very nice and helpful. I’ve looked all in the 151 area and Avocet has been so far the nicest apartments. Amanda gave me a tour of the model home of my choice and was a beautiful layout, she was very patient and helpful when came time to apply for the apt being that I had problems with my computer, very grateful for her patients with me.My kids came from Houston and I took them to the apartments and Cecilia was very nice to show the the apt the second time. Thank you to all the staff for being so kind.Theresa thank you for helping me and recommending me to the Avocet community..I’m so excited and looking forward for my move

If I could give more than 5 stars, I totally would. Deidra was more than helpful to me when I was applying. I had applied to the Avocet and had some troubles with the application, all my fault, I was waiting for an offer letter from my employer showing my income and Deidra and her supervisor were more than willing to help me. They called me with updates and I know I was being such a big headache but they were so helpful! The staff have been so helpful with any questions or concerns that I have had.I am so excited to live here. When I went to tour, I immediately fell in love with the complex. The apartments are beautiful! A great rate for the area, it is up and coming, I definitely recommend it!

This place has been the most love/hate apartment Ive ever lived in.Its a great location, especially for those working at JBSA Lackland. Its in a safe area with quick access to the best of San Antonio/Helotes. I love their food trucks and the events! The amenities and 24/7 maintenance justify the premium price, but make sure you know all of the extra amenities youll be paying for that arent included in the advertised price in advance.You will probably need to call maintenance often. Bugs of all kind are a problem, and you have to be extremely proactive in fighting mold, so get a dehumidifier or two and keep the fans on to circulate air. This week the problem has been power outages whenever we turn our dryer on, so weve been advised to just live with it and flip the breaker every time it happens for now.They werent keeping track of charging residents for car ports, so (in the middle of a pandemic) they dropped an unexpected $210 charge on me for using one for the last 6 months. I cant say theyre wrong to charge me for a service I was using. When I asked them if they would eat their mistake, they blamed it on me for not making sure they were charging me and proceeded to complain about the time it took for them to perform an audit of their accounting for car ports. My confidence in their integrity may have been irreparably damaged as a result of this altercation.I wish I was able to see my unit before I moved in, because my bedroom window is right next to some high speed rumble strips on Alamo Ranch Parkway, and I frequently wake up in the middle of the night due to the sudden loud noise. Blackout curtains help, but it can still be jarring.They hooked me in with cheaper payments on an 18 month lease, and at the time I was happy to sign up, but Ive since come to resent that decision. Im only 6 months in I already cant wait to get out. For the price I would only recommend it to someone who absolutely needs an apartment over a house, and I would still encourage you to read the fine print and look at other options carefully before deciding to land here.Edit:The power issue has been fixed! The maintenance guy was polite, available, and easy to work with. He changed the air filter and the fuse causing the power issue, and he even helped replace a drawer near our dishwasher that was damaged by mold.There are more transparent ways to restore confidence in integrity than by inviting tennants who give mixed reviews to the office for a private offline chat. When you own the roof over our heads it can come across as a shakedown rather than an invitation to conflict resolution in good faith. Frankly you dont have my trust and I dont stand to gain any more than an apology, a $210 credit for Avocets administrative oversight of their parking spot inventory, and the promise of a policy change. I dont expect any of those outcomes to happen anyways, so Im going to save us the time and politely decline the invitation.

This complex was a dream while we were living in it. The staff was all wonderful, tended to our requests of pest control or whatever other problems we were experiencing. The problem didnt arise until it came time for us to leave. We were always up-to-date with our payments during our stay but we forgot to give them a two month notice that we were leaving. Instead, we gave them a months notice. That wasnt good enough, however, and they charged us for another month where we wouldnt even be living in the apartments. Since weve moved out, theyve called us three or four different times consistently asking for more money. How convenient that we cant access their portal anymore to verify their claims. We call the utility company and they cant validate what is being asked either. It NEVER ends with this complex. The most inconvenient part of it all is that they only accept mailed in money orders or checks. No way to pay online. Give me a break. Save yourself the hassle and find somewhere else to live. Thanks Avocet for making me regret having moved my family down to San Antonio for the summer.

Update :As we transition to move from this location to a bigger home soon.I wanted to leave a review that would reflect a year experience at this location.The apartments are well maintained and space is efficent .The staff is always kind and friendly.The maintenance staff are very effiecent and professional and always have responded to request in a timely manner.The property grounds stay maintained and lastly the property manger is also very good and responsive to your needs if there are any.

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to enjoy these amenities without feeling unsafe where you live?This complex will allow mentally unstable tenants to absolutely overturn your life and make you inconvenience yourself due to their tenant that is clearly causing problems. Such a disgrace.

Ive read several reviews on this place. Both negative and positive. My experience with Elizabeth and Lizette was everything that it should have been. Both are very nice, welcoming, patient,understanding and everything great customer service consist of. You all also have to understand that this apartment complex is still a BUSINESS. Most businesses experience several changes within the first few years of its life. This property is ONLY two years old! Constant change in management can be frustrating for various reasons but it would be more frustrating if nothing was to change at all! Think about it.I went to tour the apartments, and will prayerfully be moved in Monday. The apartment its self is very nice, it feels very cozy and perfect for those of us who do not like to drive very far. Everything you need is RIGHT there!I encourage you all to communicate with the NEW team that is in place and tour the property so that you can develop an opinion for yourself.

Avocet Apartments exudes class and beauty from their staff to their property. We were happily received with great care and attention by our leasing agent Cecilia as well as every other staff member. We felt very welcomed not only by the community but also in viewing and becoming apart of our new apartment. The whole experience was amazing and we couldn’t ask for more. Everything from the picture perfect pool to the flourishing landscape to the mornings we wake up to a beautiful home. We would gladly recommend this establishment as well as the staff in offering you a new place to call home. It is a choice we would gladly do all over again. Thank you Avocet!

Its been a great experience so far! Stacey did a great job telling me about the community.. she knew how to find exactly what I was looking for in an apartment. All the girls including Cecilia, Michayla and the manager Diane were very welcoming as soon as I walked in the door. Look forward to coming back once I start my new job!

We moved in about 2 weeks ago and I was initially a little worried about some of the reviews online. We had zero issues with signing our lease and they were very clear about all prices. The office had told us to let them know if there were any issues they missed from prior tenants or anything we needed help with..I just sent in a few minor things like a loose tp holder and they came within the hour and fixed everything at one time... very friendly.... No complaints👌

Absolutely love living here, 3 months in ❤️ Apartments are new, modern and beautiful. They keep the the pool super clean, lawn is always well maintained, dog park, gym, and office clean, even offers a place where you can wash your car and vacuum it. All the staff are extremely nice and helpful. Maintenance is very intentive. They also have events for the residents quite frequently. Would definitely recommend, worth the price.

The apartment we lived in was awesome! Customer service was poor. They seemed nice but were constantly sending us on goose chases. Never were honest with us. And didn’t know much about terms of the lease of the complex they work for. Definitely in need of new management and customer service training.

Diane the manager is so rude, she was deliberately not telling the truth in several occasions. It has been a nightmare to deal with. I DO NOT recommend this apartment complex for the price you pay especially. The ladies in the office should be grateful they have a job, it’s not the tenants fault they hate their life. They need customer service training 101 and definitely new management.

We had so many complications with our application because of some past issues that we were unaware of and she did ALL the leg work to get it all ironed out for us and corrected to get us approved. The apartments are GORGEOUS and so modern we are in LOVE!! Nothing but good things to say!

This is the first time in over 20 years I live in an apartment and the staff is beyond amazing ! The girls all 3 ( Lizette, Cecilia and Amanda) sweet! I feel at home here. The events are phenomenal and love the family atmosphere. I love how any issues I have they are addressed, everyone is so happy here !

Great place to live. The staff is awesome. They are very courteous and helpful, made me feel at home from day 1 (will miss them when I move). Only had one maintenance request (misaligned bolt lock) and it was remedied within 24 hours. Pool is always clean and great for lap swimming. The gym is clean as well and had everything I needed for a good work out. If I wasnt moving overseas I would be renewing my lease.

It’s a great place to live and safe. Also they have great events and food trucks for their residents. Also the girls in the front office are super nice and make you feel at home. I would recommend anyone to live here.

Elizabeth and the team at Avocet Apartments have been wonderful to work with from move in to move out. I relocate about once a year for work and they made the whole process super easy.All maintenance requests were handle same day and very professionally.I never had any issues with theft and always felt safe in the community.I would highly recommend Avocet Apartments in San Antonio.

I moved to Avocet three weeks ago and this has to be the nicest group of employees I have ever met. My last complex was nice until you moved in. Based on my past experiences of changing personalities once I moved in, I expected a similar experience. Not the case at the Avocet! Lizette is the sweetest! She helped me with all of my questions, always followed up via email and phone, and always let me know what was happening. Once I moved in, I worked with both Amanda and Cecilia. They were just as sweet and helpful! Anytime I call ir walk into the office, regardless of who answers the phone or is sitting at a desk, everyone is so helpful and kind. I appreciate everything they’ve assisted me with since moving in and am so happy I chose to live here. A big thanks to Lizette, Amanda, and Cecilia!

DO NOT LEASE HERE!For one, this place boasts a car wash facility that consist of a legit water hose and a cheap vacuum cleaner that is not worth the amount they charge for rent. Our neighbor can be heard yelling at his wife almost every night like clock-work and have even had the police called on them a few times.Secondly, the lawns are littered with dog feces everywhere you got so tread lightly when walking through the grass. Also the dog park has zero lights in it so if you actually work a job and get out late be sure to invest in a flashlight because you will definitely need it. Ants and giant spiders are also a problem even after they come to spray for insects.Lastly, the staff member Amy (the chubby one with the big girl haircut) has a giant ego and when you come to make a complaint she will shake her head and display a snarky look which is very unprofessional if you ask me. Debbie is cool. She is probably the most professional of the bunch even if she forgets your name right after you sign your lease.In closing, the location is prime and a walk away from the movie theaters. Unfortunately I cannot wait to get out of this lease. For the amount of money I pay, the amenities like the pool are always filled with families and I cannot even use them. That is all.

I’d recommend these apartments to anyone currently in the market. Lizette was the BEST leasing consultant that I’ve ever worked with. On my first visit I was greeted promptly and friendly and was given information about all of the available units (location on the property, floor layout, square ft, price). Lizette also had no problem showing me the unit I would actually be staying in (as it was empty at the time) instead of the show unit meaning that I got a chance to see the exact layout of how my actual apartment would look which was priceless when it came time to move in and setup furniture. I would definitely recommend and thank you to Lizette and the team at Avocet for making everything so smooth and seamless.

I have great things to say about this apartment. The events are great to come to and they really take into consideration what the residents want. A few weeks ago they had a Sweethearts Breakfast for Valentines Day and today is National Margarita Day and they celebrate that as well!!

I have only lived here at the Avocet apartments for a little under three months, and my first maintenance request was nothing short of a great experience thanks to Angel and Miguel.I truly appreciate both of you being professional, having positive attitudes, extremely friendly, but most mportantly getting the job done precisely as requested!!

I have leased with many apartment complexes for my work. The Avocet apartments are second to none with their prompt and polite customer service. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! The girls in the office do not have common sense at all. They do not know what they are doing. They look at the lease contract when ever it is convenient for them to charge you for unnecessary things but when you have a complaint they make a million excuses. Messages never get delivered to manager when asked. One girl will tell you something and the next one something completely different and the manager Diane is just upfront rude. Cecilia is so fake youll walk in the office shell smile but as soon as there is a complaint her mood becomes so rude. The staff from the past company was 10x better. THE STAFF DOES NOT CARE ABOUT COMPLAINTS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE! DO NOT RENT HERE!! Great modern look but so many problems. These are just some of many more. If I could give zero stars I would.

I love this place !!! Ive been here for a little over 3 months and I have to say I love living here.The apartments are beautiful and lizette is the best! Im sad she left she took really good care of us when we moved in. She really made sure the process was as easy as possible. They have cute things to do every month, food trucks, and were in a great location. The only thing I wish they would clean the doggy park more but that dont bother me to much cause I take my dog to an actual park but sometimes it does get a little to dirty.

Recommend 100 % Very private secluded community that consists of upper class working individuals so no loud noises, no parties, very clean community, maintenance is very efficient (which youll rarely even need) staff is very friendly ASK FOR LIZETTE !! They always have deals going on so keep a look out for those! very spacious apartments, lots of storage space, marble counter-tops, wood floors, they have your apartment professionally cleaned before move in, overall great community and amazing location as well.

This apartment is so beautiful and in a nice location. Amy attracted me to sign the lease here and everything was going well until she left. This new staff members do not care about residents complaints. I have contacted them over ten times about the loud noise from the fire riser in my building and never heard back from them. There is dog poop everywhere, they are lackadaisical in maintaining this beautiful apt. I hate living here, and cant wait for my lease to expire. I referred a colleague and she complains about the same thing. Yes the apartment is beautiful but you will be very frustrated at the staffs inefficiencies. I cannot wait to get out of here. No empathy from the staff considering that I told them that the noise does not allow my kids with special needs to sleep. Amy was the only good staff here but since she left everything has changed. Im really frustrated!!

Very friendly and compassionate staff. Maintenance requests were always answered and fixed in a timely manner. Id have to say my favorite thing about Avocet is their gas grill because they provide the propane!

Avocet is an awesome place to live. The office staff is always friendly and helpful. They offer family activities and weekly food trucks. Great place for singles and families!!

Debbie was great from the moment I first walked in till the moment I decided to rent from them. She had such a great warm and welcoming face and was super pleasant and still is tomthis day and hope that it never stops. Anna was awesome!!!! I moved in and then to come to find out I had no hot water. Yes, we had some bumps in he way and was with no hot water for like 3 days, but everyday she made sure someone was out there and that I was okay and needless to say she made sure it got fixed. Anna was great!! Anna was very warning and caring and even after hours she made sure I was good! So the staff here is amazing! All apartments will have issues, but I am happy and they are beautiful apartment and I am happy with my place! Thank you all!! Happy the vibe does not change..

The very first person that I interacted with was Amanda and she was simply amazing she never got frustrated or agitated with the infinite questions I had prior to moving into the apartment and a whole different new city. Since I moved in the whole entire staff has been nothing but friendly, caring, attentive, and honest. When I got in a motor vehicle accident and had to figure out what would be happening to the vehicle, the staff was patient and understanding for well over a week! Not many apartments would’ve done that they would’ve wanted the vehicle removed immediately or would’ve just towed it, but they didn’t they did there best and gave me a time line.The promotions that were given prior to move in day were definitely not a scam to just get me to move in. The apartment was in good conditions on moving day! And the promotion overall was outstanding!Let me tell you: You don’t hear of many apartments ( unless they are in a college town or school apartments) that do monthly things for the people that live at apartment complex well they do....and it’s thoughtful, and overall a good time.They constantly have food trucks come out, they recently since I’ve been here have had 3 events: Chick Fil A breakfast, A Margarita Day, and a Pizza Party all have been great and the tenants have truly enjoyed that the staff has done such thingsStaff:100% there to help and make your stay while living at apartments enjoyableApartments: In great conditions and environment calm and friendly, family orientedHighly recommend!

This is one awesome place to live, I always have a great experience with The Avocet staffs. They are the greatest people and there work ethics are incredible. They are always willing to help you no matter what. I recommend all my friends and family to stop by, and check out this place.

Ive had a very pleasant experience with the new management here.There is no other apartments in this area that comes close to what you get here at this apartment complexThey have a beautiful workout Room....... a beautiful pool that will never disappoint.Im very shocked at the very low reviews that people put on here because theyre obviously mad with their own personal problems in ln life . I chose to live here over a house. Theres a beautiful movie theater next door and theres every kind of restaurant and shopping that you would want within walking distance. The new management has created a family environment with extra activities that they introduced during the week that I think is very excellent . If youre a professional person not looking to be a cheapskate then this is the place for you. If youre a dog lover they have a beautiful dog park that nobody else has and a lot of friendly people with dogs that live here. You cant go wrong living here.

AMAZING apartments! When I walked in I was greeted so kindly and i already felt so welcomed. All though I wasn’t ready to move in yet they gave me all the information I needed. I didn’t feel rushed and i can’t wait to move in once I’m ready!

Avocet is a nice place to live. The front office staff are friendly and helpful. Maintenance staff, Angel and Miguel specifically, are awesome and always respond quickly and take care of the issue.

Very modern look and large, beautifully design apartments. However, they boast a dog park, pool, and car wash. The dog park is absolutely tiny and most people just let their dogs poop anywhere anyways. The pool is super nice, but people seem to invite their entire families everyday and no one ever cleans the grill after they use it. The car wash is a joke. It consists of a broken hose and an under powered vacuum. Lastly, the new managers dont seem to care. I was waiting on a package for almost two weeks, because it sat in their office! They didnt bother to call me.

I would definitely recommend Avocet Apartments to anyone who is looking for a new place to call home! The front staff is AMAZING, Dianne and Elisabeth are very helpful, as well as the maintenance team ! Beautiful pool, BBQ Pit, outdoor firepit & relaxing Cabana, awesome gym, excellent school districts ! Definitely love living close to the largest movie theater screens in Texas ❤ Ive been here for 10 months and couldnt be happier!

Moved here 2 months ago, seriously the best move I’ve made .. the vibes are awesome here ! The office staff is amazing super positive and always smiling. There is always something happing every week and weekend from food trucks to ice cream and mixers i swear I can go on .. the pool is always clean and the gym is spotless all the time .. new to San Antonio like I am y’all come check it out ... the kitchen in my place is amazing and so are the floors of y’all move anywhere else I feel bad .. seriously thanks avocet / apartment finder for the hook up !!!

We’ve lived here for about a year now and have had a plethora of issues with this place. Especially with billing, inconsistency, and the managers being rude and condescending to my wife and I. But Lizette has been our saving grace in the front office with all of our problems. She is respectful and you can tell she’s got a great rapport with not just us, but other tenants here as well. Thanks Lizette for all of your help!! You’re awesome!

Avocet Apartments is an excellent place to live, and it starts with management on down. Staff are pleasant down to earth people that live their tenants like family. Location is amazing, close to a lot of eateries, shopping, and top tier schools.

The staff is awesome! They host fun activities for us residents almost weekly! A great time to meet neighbors!

We have been living at this apartment complex for the last 6 months due to building a new construction home. We hadnt had any problems until we decided to transfer into a 2-bedroom apartment because were expecting a second child in August and the 1-bedroom we were leasing isnt going to be enough room to welcome our baby. We paid the complex an overlapping week in rent on both apartments to get moved in slowly over a weeks span since I cant help my husband now that Im 35 weeks pregnant. When we finally started moving food into the 2-bedroom, we were surprised to find a mouse in our food (a tin of chocolates). I was disgusted and put in an emergency request for pest control very early that morning, Saturday 7/13/19. I never received a call and I called numerous times as soon as the leasing office opened at 10am. I also have a 2-year old so as soon as we found the mouse, I left to my parents house because I did not want my child in the apartment. I finally got an answer from the office manager who proceeded to tell me they probably would not be able to do anything about the mouse until next friday when pest control is scheduled to come out. She said she would try to get them in sooner but she wasnt going to make any guarantees. The best she could do is have her maintenance guys come out and cover any holes or cracks in the apartment and suggested we get mouse traps ourselves. After paying them over $2000 in rent (including app fees again for the transfer) and pest control every month for situations like this not to arise, I was astonished by their lack of urgency and professionalism. She then proceeded to ask me for more money, saying that I had not paid the application fees for the 2-bedroom that is inhabitable because it has mice. I lost it! I have been paying them on time every single penny theyve asked for since the beginning of my lease. Their payment portal is useless and never has the right amounts loaded on their system so I have called each time to get the correct amounts and paid them in full even thought the amounts arent loaded in the portal (I have crunched the numbers myself to make sure they are not overcharging). Then, come to find out, they hadnt allocated my application fees correctly so thats why it was showing that we owed them money. We paid the app fees on 6/22/19 so I dont know why it would take over 3 weeks for them to apply my money correctly. My husband set traps on that same Saturday and we left the apartment all day to see if we would catch anything, and sure enough, we caught a mouse in the AC closet! We came back to the apartment on Sunday but have been nervous the entire time that there might be a nest somewhere and have been checking our food every morning and night. At this point, I have called their regional manager 3 times without a response and have emailed their corporate office to file a complaint. Still waiting on a resolution 5 days after the incident happened. Pest control is scheduled to come out tomorrow 7/17/19 but the office manager made it clear that she had to pay extra for them to come out early and that she didnt know if they would be able to do anything more than what my husband has already done. The way this situation has been handled is unacceptable and I would never lease here again if I had a choice. This is our 4th time moving since we sold our house and we honestly dont want to go through it again... were just ready for our home to be ready. For a luxury apartment, the service here is terrible and I found that they were not sympathetic with what was going on considering Im 35 weeks pregnant with a toddler. I dont feel safe having mouse traps all over the place, considering its a hazard for my son and having possible disease-carrying rodents in our apartment right now.

This property is amazing and management staff is professional and caring. Apartments have top of the line finishes and move in specials cant be beat! I highly recommend these apartments if youre looking for style, comfort, and convenience.

DO NOT RENT HERE! Poop everywhere no matter where you go on the property, Car Wash is just a vacuum that is always broken and a water hose, not to mention the complex is not safe! You pay so much money for theft and the gates to always be broken. Maintenance starts making noise so early in the morning never let you sleep! If you are looking for modern and great customer service go to Sevona Westover Hills Apartments, DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR FAKE SMILES BECAUSE THEY DO NOT GET ANYTHING DONE ONCE YOU SIGN THE LEASE!

Unless you enjoy the welfare section 8 type living.. Dont live there. Poor, low living standards and management does nothing to fix it.

If I could give these people zero stars I would. False advertising, unprofessional management and contracts that do not reflect terms advertised during tour...$1900 special and lease cancellation fee yeahh right. Leasing agent had confirmed THREE times on agreed terms and in the end the manager simply said they had changed their policy and terms no longer applied. $300 dollar application fee was not refunded, not even partially even when the miscommunication was on their behalf. AVOCET has made today a nightmare by having to find another apartment last minute and move all of our services from their complex to another. Do not waste your time.

Lived here since it opened(~2yrs). Yes there have been some struggles but the management has helped me thru each situation every time. No place is perfect but Avocet is for me! Friendly gorgeous staff how they deal with all the stuff going on here I’ll never know! Thanks!

I thought it was such good place to live that I decided to renewed lease. But after 6 months I have come to feel uncomfortable here. Some neighbors play loud music all hours of the night.there are racial slurs always being yelled. there are disturbances all the time and the police are here often. The apartment complex has had several car break-ins per month. There have been animal bites from some dog owners and the complex does not make reports to the appropriate authorities. I have had enough here and I have decided to vacate my lease early by which the avocet has agreed to thankfully

Staff is new and trying their best to fix all the prior staff issues. Great and convinient place to live. Good pricing too.

Great place to stay with a fun and helpful staff. The place is close to the fun places (the world of the sea + the theater of Casablanca) totally safe, we will definitely return to it
