After seeing all the roof problems on review. My daughter just moved in and has a ceiling caving in due to water leaks. No actions from management. Taking advantage of hard working people. Seems its grown whenever it rains. As of today nothing has been done. My granddaughter inhales all the mold odors.

Nice layouts and thats about it. Inconsiderate, obnoxious neighbors; water gets shut off without notice when maintenance is needed for plumbing, which makes it inconvenient when we gotta shower or get ready for the day or clean or cook; not worth what i pay here which is 1000 for a one bedroom. Mailboxes were getting broken into and nothing was done about it for months; random people dump their trash and fill the dumpsters with their construction trash, leaving no room for actual residents to dump trash so it ends up around the dumpster on the floor. You can probably find better elsewhere. This place was a last minute emergency buy for me. Ill be taking my business elsewhere once my lease is up.

My roommate and I were victims of the apartment fire in building 2 at the end of June. The office did nothing for us beyond demanding our renters insurance coverage for a fire that wasnt even our fault. We had several issues with this complex prior to the fire. Work orders not getting done. Message were turned in to Alajandra and they never got reported to management. Even when we put in out notice to end our lease and not get a new unit from them.after the fire. Alajandra flat told us she forgot to give our message for a call back to management. It was bad living under GVA. Loosing everything under then is even worse. We werent offered a place to stay after the fire, no one contacted us, we had to make all contact with the apartment office after the fire. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to live.

December 2020 is the month we were blessed with a new management team at Residence at Medical. The new team is made up by the following persons: Courtney, Nikki, and Lani. They have excellent customer service skillls and are very attentive to the needs of the apartment complex community. Ive had several opportunities to watch as they speak not only to the tenants but also to prospective residents when I come to use the computer. Everyone that comes into the Leasing Office is treated with respect. The team takes care of people coming into the office, taking time to put callers on hold while they address the person that came into the office. They observed the CDC guidelines that were issued because of Covid-19. Great team!

DO NOT MOVE HERE--they say apartments are renovated but not at all--if you call putting in a new floor and carpet in the bedroom when all other things in the apartment are dated or just old and need to be replaced. Normally I dont write bad reviews but am just stunned at what i have gone thru on behalf of my brother who leased from here. Due to unforseen events my brother had a medical issue in December and has not lived in the apartment since then--lease was not renewed in April. At first management was good in helping and even giving links to places who could assist with rent. The apartment was a total mess--long story short I cleaned the apartment out and left it cleaner then what it was the day my brother moved in. Thus, I am thinking he will get his full deposit back, but why do i get an email saying 55 will be deducted for carpet cleaning--an yes i have pictures--i can tell you that carpet did not need cleaning as i vacuumed and swept it several times--i inquired with mgmt to have a name and address where i could appeal this and guess what have not heard from them. Yet when they were wanting their rent money plus late fees they were emailing me--once they got the money from the city for rental assistance they were good. Thank you Jesus for that blessing!! I would have never moved here paying nearly 900 for a small studio apartment where the bathroom is not renovated nor is the kitchen nor is the apartment updated in its entirety. When you have to pay fees for things that they just dream of such as pest control in which you have to call them and ask for the service be done--if you are charging for it why would you not have pest control come out every month. i have read some of the reviews here and understand them completely. I can only say the ones that gave the 5 stars are probably truly in full renovated apartments and have no pest concerns. I can say that but i know for a fact that they advertised this apartment as renovated. I have lived in apartments and each time i have fully gotten my full deposit--so with this one they are just nickel and diming residents. Karma does come around --when they dont have anyone leasing these units then they will understand you need to have concern and care for your residents. Word of mouth and writing reviews can hurt your business.

Don’t rent here. Cheap, but you get what you pay for. 2 incidences of rats finding their way into my apartment. I keep my doors and windows completely shut and locked at all times. When I reported it to management, their answer was “we’ll have maintenance patch up any holes by tomorrow and lay some traps to catch them.” So in the meantime, I’ll sleep in my car until maintenance patches up the same patched up holes the rats found their way through last time and after, walk around my apartment with rat traps. Sounds great. When asked if I could just pay for the current month and move out at the end, they only break leases if you die.

Do Not Move Here. I went in early July to look at apartments, I was told that due to Covid, I could only look online. The model apartment looked good and I was told that they have both un-renovated and renovated apartment. I chose a renovated apartment. I awaited move in day and had my movers move all my stuff in and when I got to the apartment, that I hadnt seen before move in day, It was awful. It wasnt renovated at all, the walls were bulging out and the ceiling was too. There was black mold in the bathroom and in the ac vents. The place smelled so bad. There was cracks all over the walls and the ac was leaking water and the kitchen cabinets were all cracked and warped and the shelves were all soft from water damage. It was terrible. I went the next day to the office and was offered a apartment next door and it was a bit better at first sight and decided to take that one due to having no place else to live. I moved in there and found out that the AC was leaking a ton of water and also the dishwasher was as well. I put in emergency maint request and when maint finally showed up, they just temporary fixed the problem. The toilet had no back cover to it. There was water damage to the cabinets again and water was leaking from the apartment upstairs. Also the dryer plug wouldnt work, so I had no dryer to use and was told by the office to use the laundry mat. I started looking for a new apartment right away and moved out as fast as I could. The Management office was basically non responsive. To the day I moved out, I never received mailbox keys and nothing had been fixed in my apartment. Also they told me that due to me living in a apartment with a pool view it was a additional 10 dollars a month, which was never mentioned until after I moved in and also a 20 dollars a month for the washer and dryer fee, even though I was paying more for a apartment to have the washer and dryer hookups, now I would have to pay a fee because I would be using more water. Do not move here. It is terrible and the office is non responsive and just want to take your money and nickle and dime you with all the made up various fees.

I’ve lived in my current unit for almost two years and at first I didn’t have any problems, maybe the occasional roach or two. But after the last 6 months it’s been problem after problem. Maintenance does NOT come fix anything right away they take almost a full week: the office does not return your calls when you have issues and they make it seem like you are bugging them when you do call and ask for help or give your attitude and just don’t take anything seriously. My kitchen sink was over flowing for almost a week and they finally had maintenance come out and here and he said “that’s no an emergency I can come back tomorrow and didn’t even look at my sinks”The plumbing has over flown in both my bathrooms on multiple occasions causing damage to the carpets and they didn’t even replace the carpets ! They just ripped out the padding from underneath and let it dry.My most recent issue it with mold and water damage from the people who live upstairs and my ceiling actually starting bubbling up and started collapsing. I called nearly 10 times and emailed multiple people with no response. I finally got a hold of someone on Monday and they gave me attitude saying that they read my messages and sent a maintenance request BUT didn’t even bother following up with me or calling to advise me of this. This property has no problem sending multiple alerts and blowing up your phone when they want to do inspections or if your rent is a day late but they have no sense of urgency when it comes to fixing anything that’s wrong. It’s truly disappointing and upsetting.I don’t recommend anyone to rent at this property especially if you have kids.Just save yourself the money and trouble.

Do not move here! Our apartment always smelled like cigarette smoke from the neighbors all around us. Our a/c went out several times, and there was always roaches in our apartment. The worst part is there are ALWAYS different people in the office who absolutely don’t have any idea what’s going on. We moved out during the Covid shutdown but only to learn we were STILL being charged rent! After contacting the office about the issue, of course nobody knew anything or had any knowledge of us moving out even after turning in all our keys! As far as we know, we paid everything. Today, a little over 5 months after move out I suddenly get an email from a debt collector with Residences at Medical being the original debt collector for an insane amount of $7,248.10!!!!! My guess is they STILL continued to charge us rent AFTER WE MOVED OUT!!!

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! DO NOT MOVE HERE!We moved to San Antonio during the COVID pandemic and we weren’t able to see the apartment in person prior to moving here. We had to trust the online tour and a video walk-through. Well, their photographers deserve a raise because those pictures managed to make this place look amazing. Fast forward to moving day. My husband and I got here and immediately wanted to burst into tears. Tears of despair and regret. The paint was peeling off the walls. The staircase to our apartment was on the brink of collapse. Inside the apartment was no different. The website and management company made us pay extra for the “upgraded apartment.” What is the upgrade you ask? Good question - we’re still waiting to find out. The warped cupboards had a fresh coat of paint over the dust and grime that was probably there for years. The cupboard doors were barely staying in place. The bathroom had a fresh coat of paint over the tiles with obvious water damage from bad plumbing. The entire apartment was uneven so our stuff couldn’t stay in place. The counters were uneven so cooking was a challenge. The “upgraded” appliances were some terrible third-world brand - but they were black which was apparently the upgraded version. The balcony was in such poor condition, we had to put a large area rug to prevent having to get tetanus shots from the rusty nails. The walls were paper-thin so every time our neighbors slammed their door, the whole building could hear. There was no privacy. All the neighbors across the lawn could see directly into our apartment and when we used a balcony cover to help with some privacy, we were told to take it off because a balcony cover was “against management policy.”I think the tipping point was the constant, unannounced inspections. The management would send emails on Monday or Tuesday saying they will “randomly inspect select units between 9 am and 5 pm Wednesday thru Friday.” If you weren’t home to let them in - too bad. They just barged into your apartment anyway. You have pets? Too bad. They requested you kennel your animals while they did their inspection. I know what you’re thinking. How am I supposed to kennel my pet for 8 hours a day for 3 days so they can come in at any random time? Tough. They don’t care. Good luck if you think you can call the management office to set up a time for them to inspect your apartment. We moved after 3 months of living there. We had to pay 2 months of rent to break the lease, but honestly it was worth the $1500+ penalty to get out of this dump. Imagine how terrible it must be if paying $1500+ and going through the hassle of packing and moving was better than staying there. They never sent us a final bill, they just sent us to collections. So now, we have the hassle of a collections agency too. Still worth it.If this review helps save one person from moving into this place its worth it. I know people say “zero stars” alot - but seriously, I mean it.

You’re probably looking at this to see if you should move here. Do not move here. Here’s a list of a few reasons why you should not live here:-A/C will go out one to three times a month-you can call the emergency line and no one will call you back-you will go days without AC and they will not pay for a hotel, I hope you have renters insurance and I hope that it covers it (if you decide to not take my advice and move here)-water issues all the time, line gets cut during the day for hours with no access to water-high energy bills-office manager lacks empathy and will argue with you-you will get mass text messages with threats of fines that don’t pertain to you For example, one time they threatened us with a 500 dollar fee if our patios were not cleaned in the next thirty min.-office mgmt does not answer calls or return VM until you show In person-work items completed in the app can take half a month to complete-you’ll get fees on your bill that just don’t make sense it’ll take them months to review and remove them-frequent threats to close the pool or BBQ pits-frequent threats in general-refusal to provide corporate information so that you don’t file complaints-disregard of Covid concerns, will still make you drop off a check knowing that it can impact your health-payment platform requires fee for ACH transactions.

I could not sleep because of all of the fighting and scratching coming from the roof. Always had maintenance issues with my dish washer and all they said was to pour bleach down the drain. One day I came home to find my dishwasher was left in the middle of the kitchen. When I moved in the sink was not hooked up properly. Water was spraying everywhere because they forgot to connect the sink to the water supply line. The staff never responds to text messages. I moved out in March and still yet to to receive my refund. Lived here for a year, love the location and the price it was. My last week living there I saw a rat in the storage area and when it rains the apartment is infested with millipedes, so many bugs. New management came in and was very strict, they charge for almost everything. Didn’t renew my lease. Also the prices for apartments went up significantly because they are adding better features but honestly it’s not worth it cause all they have to offer is a pool and a broken laundry facility and a rundown tennis court. Management never responded to my many noise complaints and never fixed anything. It was great till the new company took over. Also the doorknobs are super old and on many occasions I would get trapped in my own apartment due to the knob not twisting, I would have to disarm the knob to get out. Maintenance would come in when I was home, they would knock once and wouldn’t give me enough time to get to the door they would just burst in.Moved out over 30 days ago and still HAVE NOT received my deposit, front office never answers the phone.**UPDATE** they kept our deposit and said it covered the standard carpet cleaning fees and the water bill. Said it all came out to $192 so we aren’t receiving any money back from them.

A month ago I reported that there was a leak in my bathroom. There was prior evidence that this was a recurring problem because when I received the apartment I noticed that they simply painted over the area. I reported the issue and was told the leak was coming from the apartment next to me and was told that a part would be ordered to fix the problem. WEEKS have passed and i noticed that the leak is still occurring. I happen to walk by the maintenance man who originally came and he told me that the Property was sold and he was told by management that the new owners would take care of the problem. The thing is NOBODY informed me that the new management would take care of it. Water stains are appearing through the paint. I didnt even know that the property had been sold until four days ago. Thats a very Douche bag thing to do. I report a problem EARLY and then they wait for the new owners to take care of it but also not tell me youre not going to do anything about it. I would never have known that my problem was simply IGNORED if I hadnt talked to the maintenance guy thats particular day.

I have lived at the Windridge Apartments in 2018. I like to walk around the property even when its One Hundred (100) degrees outside. I do my laundry on the property and even that has been a headache. Two (2) laundry rooms and most of the time the machine arent working.New management took over the handling of the property on 6/10/2019. The first notable change was the atmosphere in the Leasing Office. The office staff members are teaming players working together to get things done. From day one (1) they were faced with problems, having to address residents inquiries about things that had not been taken care of. On at least one (1) occasion the resident was harsh and very aggressive towards the Manger. Immediately Manager took care of assessing each and every problem or concern brought before, prioritizing work orders: Urgent to less urgent. Because the staff members operate as a team they were able to help prospective residents by giving them information regarding the property, and the location of available units. They informed prospective residents of the changes that were taking p;lace on the property. If they were asked to be shown the Unit the member readily accepted and gave them a tour. I reiterate the Manager (Clara), Assistant Manager (Priscilla), and the Leasing Agent (Devon) have been doing a great job. They should be given a commendation for be able to handle residents coming in with issues, prospective residents, and all the telephone call inquiring about the property.Maintenance Crew started working on the the orders getting them done, without complaining and address residents the came across on the property in a respectful manner with a smile of their face. The Maintenance Crew has been very efficient, on the occasion when a resident stops them to inquire about the status of work to be done on their apartment they tentatively give them an idea as to when they will do it. Never the less, they make sure that the resident is aware of what they need to complete before they can do their work. The Landscapers and the contractors hired to work on the property have been doing a great job too. They are also very respectful.Once more, I would like to address the staff members. I am really impressed by their professionalism. When I walk into the office i am not faced with staff kidding around in such a way to make me uncomfortable. I really like living here because it is close to so may of the places i frequent. However ti decided to move out when my lease expired so I turned my notice, I had to withdraw that notice because of illness that made it impossible for me to go looking for another apartment. Im looking forward to all the new changes in the complex. I am pleased to see things getting done. It motivates me to see the staff so full of energy and happy to be doing their job --- this is quite evident when they are assisting prospective residents.irg 8/19/2019

The only reason I give this place two stars is because I have yet to experience any rude management. Unfortunately I did not stay the entire 12 months for personal reasons, primarily I highly disliked the place. Its small and overpriced every month it would be higher off course because of water and fees but Ive never had that problem at the previous apartment I was at I payed much less for more space downtown. I DETEST roaches and its infested. Theres a small space under the door in which I have noticed they come in through and their the huge ones, BUT its okay if you dont have kids here since its definitely not a drug free environment. The neighbors are okay they keep to themselves which is a plus but they dont clean up after themselves which is repulsive. You have to be careful because theirs dog poop around and one of the neighbors always drops things from his work such as nails, well thats what really did it for me to actually really go through with braking my lease. About two weeks ago I stepped on a rusty nail I dont have insurance so there went another bill that off course I have to pay because no one cleans this place on the outside and because the neighbors dont watch what they drop. I would definitely not recommend this place but thats just my experience. As for the office I went in to talk to the lady there she was not rude at all which is another reason Ill give it two stars otherwise I wouldnt. Theres better places out there I moved in too quick I wasnt even shown the place until the actual day I moved in and the place wasnt even ready but they did get it ready in a timely manner so thats good..

The worst management i have ever seen with delegation without responsibilities because Normand did her best and i signed the contract with my 50$ application fee and 3 days later the management told me to pay 625$ as deposit for only me when they had waived me any deposit with 300$ off on my first month payment!!!I have a good credit i have never broke any contract and i have enough income to afford 600$ for 1 bedroom!!!They have their own unfair criteria but please i need to get my 50 dollars back without delay!!!I work hard to get even 1cent so give me back my money!!!

I just want to say for the little time that Nora was here. She did alot of great things for us. When we needed things done she got right on it without us doing any call backs. She was caring and loving to us and showed concerns. I wish she could stay cuz she did more for us in a month of her being here then others did since we been here in 3yrs. I would love her to be here for life cause she makes me want to stay longer. All in all I enjoyed her here. Would love if she could stay!

Ok. Day one..This will be an honest tale of our experience. Office staff was friendly overall but that is to be expected. The maintenance people were a little lurky. Not sure what that was about but...The Price is very low for this area and that should not mean the product is less than 5 stars BUT...Roaches Roaches and did I say Roaches. Not the big water bug kind. This is the apt taken over kind. Turn lights on and they run. Plus this is only day one. These bugs have already established themselves within. We moved a few things in earlier and returned to unpack and they had already found the way into a few of our things. I have pics to prove. Now everyone lives differently but how can you rent as human being to another human that kind of Apt. Looking at the reviews there is no way those are honest reviews coming from actual renters. I hope there will be a quick fast resolve. I will keep you guys updated..

I lived here about 4 years ago and I honestly loved it. The price was right...and as a then single women I felt plenty safe, which was important to me any also single roommates. We never had any issues with bugs. And our were mostly really great. So why not five stars? Welll.... we had our AC go out the last summer I lived there and it took them about a week to fix it. It was dangerously hot in our second story apartment. So hot I ended up staying somewhere else until it was fixed. On top of that Pretty much any maintenance issue took a long time to fix. Only the AC thing was really an issue though. The other reason for four stars is... my sister and her husband moved to windridge at my referal and the apartment they moved into had roaches. No matter what they did... the roaches never fully left. They ended up having to throw all their appliances when they moved so they wouldn’t take the roaches with them. I think the bug thing it just depends on the building. And it’s been a couple of years so it’s possible the issue has been totally fixed... or has gotten worse. Who knows?Bottom line...if the price is right for you go for it. It’s nothing fancy but it’s safe, and very likely bug free. :)

Terrible stay, my first time writing a review about any thing ever. Paper work was out of order even after months of living here, have had a leak in my roof for months and still the problem exists in living room, water damage in bathroom on ceiling and below sink cabinets when I 1st moved in, (still exists) Have had a ac problem but that was quickly fixed (only because it was an easy fix, thermostat change). I hope this doesnt continue for other residents as well but we will not continue living here after the lease is up. My name is Joseph Cortez and my name is not on the lease but I am a current resident. Thank goodness there will be no more apt living for me in my future because this changed my whole view on things. Friendly maintenance but how about the things that actually need fixing???

Im a resident else where and I would say its o.k., but after visiting Windridge apartments, Roxann Salinas made me feel at home after I visited Windridge. Pros: Close to Medical Center walking distance to UT Health Center where I go to school. I cant express how much these apartments make me feel like I was living back home in Houston. I can tell you right now that you will be making the RIGHT choice when you move here, because I know Roxann will see me once I sign my lease in January 2018. See ya soon ladies.

If I could give no stars I would. I lived there on a 2yr contract with the worst experience. It was my first apartment and it was the worst decision I made. I had no knowledge on how everything should be handled when it came to all the issues I had with office staff and maintenance. I was constantly calling for maintenance with problems because the hardly answer the phone which is surprising when there was usually 3 people working in the office and it took them two to three weeks to send someone sometimes a month, so I had to call a few times for the same problem even make several appearances in the office before they sent someone. There was a hole in my roof leaking water when it rained and not once did they ever send anyone to look at it it was there for the remainder of my 8 months. The tile in my bathroom was falling off which never got fixed until I moved out. My sink in the kitchen was leaking so much that i had to put buckets that would fill within the day and It took them about a month and a half to send someone to fix it. When it was fixed it was when I only had a month left one my contact and the maintenance man left all the old parts in the cabinet beneath my sink. Also the only reason they did send someone was because my tires got slashed on the property and went to the office outraged asking for surveillance which they did not have because they dont have cameras even though it was the third time someone got their tires slashed at the apartment complex so I guess they thought it was a good time to fix the sink. Neighbors claimed that it was because the complex removed the 5yr parking signs and made them regular ones which angered a resident who had to park across the complex because parking was always taken by the time most residents got home from work. So if you parked in a what used to be 5yr parking spot your tires where slashed. Assigned parking would have solved the problem but the complex didnt offer that either. My move out date was supposed to be August 7th but because I arrived 2 days late to put my 60-day notice it was put that I would be out on the 12th even after the property manager Brooke would honor my move out date on the 7th but because I didnt get that written down on paper it never happened. I would not recommend you move here they constantly have new people in and out of their office and clearly cannot handle running the complex. There are so many other things I could list but Im sure Ive said enough. I advise you to find somewhere else to live because living here was definitely not worth it in my experience. The only good thing this experience taught me is that you must get everything written down that is said between you and the office of your complex or it didnt happen.

Out shopping apartments closer to the medical district I will be transferred to in the upcoming months. Im specifically looking at Greystar properties. It has been my experience they take care of issues promptly and care for their residents unlike other management teams I have dealt with previously. So today I was happily surprised to be greeted at the door by leasing agent Roxann. She is the agent that had worked at my current apartments. As always she was very pleasant, thorough, completely understanding about my upcoming transfer and pleased I am choosing to stay with Greystar. She is a big reason why Ive come to know Greystar as one of the best properties to lease from and was my sign to look no further. Application is in and looking forward to what I know will be a good move.

At first the cost of the apartment was fine. I would renew my lease each time it came up, but my rent has increased so much and I still have the same paint, carpet, cabinets, and appliances which were outdated when I moved in. The cost of the place now is too high for what you get.For over two months I had no AC during that time the maintenance brought in a window AC unit which overloaded the electrical outlet it was plugged into and almost started a fire. I’ve had a bad water leak in my bathroom for over a week now which I’m told it’s not an emergency issue so they scheduled maintenance to come the following Monday they didn’t tell me what time so I waited all day and no one came. When you try to contact the front office they either ignore you or make you feel like you are bothering them. They also mass text/email you constantly about cleaning patios and rent being due or it being overdue even if you paid it on time.If you can afford to live else we do it.
