Wow, where do I start. I recently moved out of these apartments recently and Im happy to be living away from roaches. My whole building was infested with roaches. It was roach galore from day one. They came out with their cheap sprays and nothing helped those roaches. My kids and I could not sit anything on the kitchen counter without roaches climbing on it within 5 minutes. Roaches were climbing out of the bathroom sink and I kind of gave up that they were ever going to fix the issue. This went on for about 2 years. Very nasty apartment building and my neighbors complained about their roaches too. I faithfully paid my rent on time every month just to come home to an infested apartment. I have never experienced this anywhere and I mean anywhere. The roaches had taken over my apartment because they were coming out of the walls. Also there was mold everywhere in the window sills and my tubs were not resurfaced. It had oil stains by the drain. My boyfriend who is a maintenance supervisor at another complex verified that the tubs had not been resurfaced and they had just painted over them. I wish I could rate them a zero.
The worst maintenance staff I have ever had the displeasure of ever dealing with. Constantly canceling work orders and never completing them. I suggest you stay far, far away from this place until they sort out their incompetence.Edit: I didnt think this place could get anymore jank but let me go down the list of issues you can expect:1) Cabinets are covered in cheap cabinet paper thats already peeling2) Area under sinks are water damaged and sagging3) Paint is done badly...everywhere4) Carpets were not cleaned properly before moving in5) Toilet was installed improperly, was without a toilet for 3 days. When I asked for a key to an empty apartment so I could use the bathroom their response was We need your drivers license like Im going to keep the key when I LIVE HERE6) Floors are installed improperly. The vinyl is coming up in multiple locations, its only glued around the edges. Additionally, the flooring was obviously placed over damaged flooring as you can feel voids under your feet when walking.7) Installation of molding is done badly.8) Screen door on patio is not installed properly, using a piece of trim to hold it in place9) Fridge is old and doesnt close properly. They have refused to fix it.The management has made no attempt to compensate me, reduce the price of my apartment or fix any of the issues. Avoid the place, at all costs.
Just moved in and Trevor has made it so easy to do. Super thankful for your help through this process and getting things done! I would def recommend move in here!
My experience here was awful.My biggest problems equally, were with management and roaches.Heather is the most incompetent and irritating property manager Ive ever dealt with. I never had any of my issues fully resolved. I received little effort from management about the roaches. The same old bug bombs and sprays, which do not work. This apartment has so many cracks and crevices,many entry points for bugs to come in. NOT a single person in the leasing office is capable of answering any questions I had. The corporate email that leads to who knows California is utterly useless. Numerous emails to them for various issues. No response. I couldnt tolerate living here anymore your best bet is to report them to the BBB or just DONT rent here to begin with!!Its a little too late to resolve issues when people are moved out already.
So, this is something y’all should be very aware of, before you give them your monies for back ground and initial $100 fee towards unit. Let me give you the skinny. BreAnne kinda rude but warms up on the apartment tour. You get all the sweet nothings, nice e-mails ect. I had something on my credit (no shame) so declined.Well the niceties go out the window and I’ve been fighting to get my $100 deposit back. Several e-mails, no response numerous calls. Next step small claims court. I shouldn’t have to fight to get my money back!
DO NOT LIVE HERE, THEY ARE CROCKED AND SHADY/I have had nothing but problems here, roaches and they keep telling me they will do a Cleaning and dont and my a/c has been out for a few days now, they have not fixed it, worst experience I have ever had with an apartment. When I moved out they found away to charge me the entire month. they charged me for 3 months of water and somethings I agree with but 600 in water bills is ridiculous. They agreed to let me move out of my roach infested unit into another one but after paying 1800 in fees and transfer cost they kept asking for more and more money. I ended up having to stay in my apartment with the roaches. They would say they were having people to come do a deep cleaning and they would not show. then one day they showed and didnt tell me. they tried to charge me a 75 dollar fee. The next time they never showed and said I was not home. I work from home. They are liars and deceitful, they didnt tell me water was allocated and two months behind. I thought it was in the rent. It 4 months for the water bills to hit my rent and then it raised the rent 200 dollars. This is a slum. Building 25 has roaches and others told me they were experiencing the same things. DONT LIVE HERE
I would give 0 stars if I could. I was there from 2015-2016 and after I left I was informed that everything was good and didnt need to pay anything. this year when i looked at my credit report again i found out that i had a $1300 payment due in collections from 2018. They didnt attempt to contact me or inform me of the bill.
This is my first time writing a review on an apartment complex. This is the first time I felt I needed to. Please heed this and save yourself the time and hassle of moving here.Management and mangers here are inconsiderate. They do not care about your circumstances. Since Monday we have been without water and they have no idea when it will be back on. They have asked us to use the pool water to flush our toilets. During times of need, having better systems or structures in place would be ideal so every resident gets their basic needs met...but not here!Please do me and you a favor and look somewhere else. Your money deserves better than this.
The manager department is extremely lacking in communication skills. Depressing staff with cheap customer service that will leave you unsatisfied. The price is not worth all the inconvenience I have experienced. I cannot wait for my lease to end. The biggest waste of time I’ve ever lived at. Corporate needs to do themselves a favor and replace all the managers at this place, seriously, it is crying for help.Cannot emphasize enough that you should live somewhere else before you even think about living here.
Do not live here. I cannot wait to move out. There is always an issue and management will never have an answer for you. They will add bills to your rent and not give you an answer why, your are better off anywhere but here. No one knows what they are doing. They lie to get you in and then screw you over after. I have no good experiences with any of the agents which should tell you something right there. I have so many complaints and not enough space to write. Just beware. People only leave reviews when they had a bad experience so keep that in mind. All of these reviews are true in some form.
I have loved my time here. I know people have complained about all the cats everywhere but I’ll tell you that I don’t have a problem with mice or rats. My neighbors are all awesome. My ac works well and management has been great. Maintenance wi fair but some of my work orders that have been marked as complete we’re kind of complete. My master shower had some problems and the stem was replaced fixing the issue but the assembly wasn’t put back together completely. I was told they would be back because the sleeve had to be special ordered but no revisit. I love this complex and will be here at least for another year maybe longer. Building 31 by the way.
First day Roaches all over the place, laundromat nasty and washers not working(leaking water all over the place), apt vinyl floor peeling off, light bulbs going out, and more... I had tried moving out, they are charging extra when there were no damages. As well reasoning for moved out was documented incorrectly. Instead of infestation of Roaches was changed to skipped out. And management wont even talk to me about the bill and all the extra charges.
Hector did a wonderful job in my bathroom. I truly appreciate his prompt work.Trevor sent him to take care of my problem. Very satisfied!!
These people proceed with evictions daring pandemic!!!!! Must read click here!!These people did not care about your privacy they literally tried to come in my domain when work is going on inside. These people send emails out about how Imperfect my balcony is and how it don’t meet regulations. If you move next to the office it’s a horrible mistake. It’s a mistake to have signed a lease agreement with these apartments. Might be better if you live in the back corner just have to drive through 100 speed bumps might need to replace your shocks at the end of the lease.Trevor is cool and does a wonderful job with residents though I got nothing to say bout that guy.
Had lived here for a year. The agents and maintenance staffs are very friendly and willing to help you with any situation. There is a minor issue with the laundry facility but cannot complain too much considering the reasonable rent! Most residents are families with kids, so it might get noisy when they come back from school, but no major issue with this.
Poor maintenance had a leak in my apartment walls and management still has yet to fix it so now my apartment is infested with gnats, The celling Fan they installed almost fell on my 7 month old son because it was not put in right and they have only 1 maintenance person who actually knows what they are doing these are Terrible apartments everyone who works here should be fired especially management DO NOT LIVE HERE
I have lived at these apartments almost two years. The first year I had no problem but now the air conditioning doesn’t work properly(doesn’t cool below 75 degrees), the apartment complex has an infestation of roaches, and the maintenance crew is a joke. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.The only positive thing I have to say is Trevor at the front desk is the only one who gets things done to the best of his ability and he needs a raise!
During a pandemic and this apartment complex is terrible. moving in we parked to unload as we are in the apartment putting things together we come out and our vehicle got towed. Only parked for about and hour to unload and put furniture together. First impressions of this place on move in and they tow the truck we used to move our furniture. The management said well you were parked in someones spot and didnt care after they informed us we could park wherever to move in and they only tow if you park overnight in someones spot. Management is terrible I dont recommend this complex. If I could give a zero I would. Please dont waste your time looking here
If I could give zero stars I would. I do realize that were in a pandemic during this time, and I do realize that most properties are only doing virtual tours. However, clearly Desiree at Stoneybrook was not interested in showing an apartment today. She was not welcoming at all, was very rude, and barely spoke to me. She did not ask if I had any questions. She was more concerned about my move in date, how many bedrooms and bathrooms I wanted, and whether or not I wanted to look at an upgraded apartment. Then stated she did not have a non-upgraded apartment to show. The apartment itself had rusted central air fixtures, and the so called upgrades did not appear to be upgraded. What she does not realize is that I used to live there over 10 years ago and my aunt currently lives there. I previously had positive experiences with this property and thought it would have been the same, however, clearly I was wrong. Please note if your property would like to rent apartments, please hire someone who is more welcoming. Where is Trevor?!!!
I have lived at Stony Brook for two years. Leasing agent Crystal helped me out tremendously this week and went ABOVE and BEYOND the call of duty when I had turned in my lease to move out of town and my plans changed unexpectedly right before my notice was to expire. My apartment had already been leased and it did not appear any other units were available. Crystal provided exceptional customer service in a professional manner and was able to acquire a new apartment at the last minute. Thank-you very much Crystal for the personal attention when I really needed it!! My whole experience at Stoneybrook has been exceptional, with the maintenance department taking care of my requests on the same day. You might want to check out this complex before making a final decision.
I had a really great experience applying and moving into these apartments. Very clean and well maintained. I am in love with my new place and Im so excited to be here. Thank you to Trevor Schultz, the leasing agent, especially. He is extremely friendly and helpful and made the application and moving process very easy. He continues to help with any questions or concerns i have. Hes definitely one of the reasons i continue to love these apartments.
Been here a month and staff is very polite. Maintenance is awesome, I put a few work orders and they came out the same day.
Please save your money and go somewhere else. WORST PLACE EVER!!ROACHES all over and treatments havent worked no matter how many times they do it...Im sick of this place and unwilling to help.

Staff is very professional. When you walk in you are helped right away. Customer service is amazing, and they actually care. Trevor went step by step with me through the whole process. He followed up consistently to make sure I moved in. He did a walk through of the apartment before I moved in and I even got a move in gift from the property. My apartment is very beautiful. We ended up not moving forward with an apartment but can say to those considering this complex that based on the service we were provided during showings that you will be well taken care of. The 5 months i was there were good then my lease came to an end and I wanted to get another apartment in the property because I thought they were nice apartments but that’s where everything went downhill. I filled out a whole new application apart from the old unit I was in (obviously right) but things didn’t work out so I just decided to get my deposit back, they gave me the runaround for a few days then told me “we mailed it out to the address on the file” little did I know they sent it to my roommates address and not mine. I just don’t understand how they get that mixed up when my roommates weren’t on my new application. They obviously don’t pay attention to what they are doing and they’re so unprofessional about it as well. Even with the old apartment they tried charging extra days that we weren’t even there. (I found that out later as well) They’re just a mess. I wouldn’t recommend living here.

He helped me every step of the way in getting an apartment selected, keeping me updated throughout the whole approval process, and being very helpful answering any questions. Even drove up to the apartment I was looking at to answer a question about the patio while we were on the phone. Look out for him, hell make the whole process a smooth transition if youre lucky enough to have him help you!
I have been living at this complex now for almost a year and I ran into a few bumps along the way but the office staff never let me down. Trevor has been FANTASTIC since day one and he is always my go to guy for anything that I need. Office is honestly blessed to have him as part of their staff. Good job Trevor! Keep being awesome!

I lived here for 2 years it was my first apartment in my name in years and I have a background so I was worried. Trevor was awesome from day one. He made the process super easy and was ALWAYS helpful the whole time. They have gone thru a couple of office people but I hope they always keep him. I would definitely move back if hes in the office.
Been here a year over all great experience love the assigned parking. You want to go to Trevor. He will help you out and do everything and anything in his power to get you squared away. Best customer service by far.
Just recently moved into the apartments and so far it had been a very good experience. Trevor was great when I first showed up and showed me around. He did a great job of highlighting the benefits and really sold me. The amenities are good and the staff has been very attentive so far. I am looking forward to my stay here.
I had a tour on June 26th 2020 of a 1bed 1bath apartment. I liked how spacious it was. The employee showing me apartment was a guy named David. That same day I put in the application for approval so I could get the promotion going on with the apartment. So on the 29th I went to give auto insurance, identification and proof of income which was pay stubs. I asked for David when I got there and they said he was gone for the week. I had no idea so a woman named Desiree took my info to make copies. She comes out and says these arent pay stubs. These are what I receive from the company I sub contract for which means I pay my own taxes and I have my own company name. My stubs dont show taxes because Im responsible for them. So they asked for bank statements. So I sent them 3 months worth of income which if they would of took the pay stubs it would make sense on my deposits every two weeks. Later on same day Desiree emailed and asked for a tax return. I said I had my W-2 and 1099 only because I had not filed yet what could I do. No response. My locator called next day or 2 and come to find out Desiree if off now for the week also. So now Im dealing with someone named Trevor which says send him the w2 and 1099 because he had everything else. He said next day in the morning manager would review for approval. Tried emailing him next day to make sure he had everything for manager. No response all day. My locator calls next day and speaks to manager Heather I believe. My locator said Heather would be calling me. So He as ther calls and said Trevor was gone now and if I could send her the info I sent Trevor which I did. I asked to please let me know if received which I got no answer. Come Thursday the 2nd of July I finally speak to Heather and she says my application had to go to corporate which I dont understand why. She said corporate was closed next day for holiday and on the6th yesterday that corporate will be reviewing my application and should get an answer Tuesday the 7th of July (today). I sent email at like 2 something in the afternoon today asking for any kind of update on my application. No response till 4 something this afternoon which Heather calls and informs me she just got word back from corporate which I was denied. I said ok what was their reasoning which she replied they didnt give me a reason so I guess she probably didnt ask either. WTH how can you not have a reason? Ridiculous it took 12 days for that BS. I gave them everything that was asked of me and stayed very patient with all this dealing with different people. I know it couldnt be my background. I worked for the DOD government for 2 years which I had to do finger prints and background check by the FBI. All I see is some type of discrimination. This place is very unprofessional. I do not recommend to anyone.
The overall customer service has improved to be honest. When i first moved i did have some issues with security and having my car broken into but it seems they’ve improved. They are good at sending maintenance when needed. I moved into a bigger apartment and i love it a lot. There needs to be more security walking around. I love that they updated the streets. Still adjusting to home but upgraded my ratings.

I dont normally write reviews but this is something I feel is necessary to get out to the public about this Company. I am currently getting ready to transition out of the Army. My wife has been apartment hunting for us so we can start our new life together. We have a 2 year old son and two dogs with us. While getting ready to travel we asked what we would need to do on our end since it wouldve been our first time living outside an Army base. When we started driving down from upstate New York to San Antonio everything seemed fine with our arrangements with this housing community. However, while traveling down we were told we were still good to go as long as we made it by a certain day and time. When we got there one of the staff was a bit rude with my wife. Told us that we had to provide some things that we were unaware of (we asked about a week before what all we needed to provide) and required a significantly increased down payment than previously agreed terms. Then offered for us to stay at their guest room for $93 a day (our vehicle had better amenities).I STRONGLY encourage anyone looking into attempting to move into this housing community to reconsider. Especially for anyone PCSing here. Or seeking housing. There are more housing communities
Upon moving in, My A/C was broken, and it took about a week for it to be completely fixed, and there were many things that were supposed to still be touched up and fixed, that never were, now upon moving out, they are charging me for things that they never fixed, and made things up in order to keep my security deposit. I would say staff is friendly which is a positive, but only a very few. Would not recommend this place at all, they lack in efficiency, and change rules without notifying anyone. Just an overall pretty bad experience.
My apartment was haunted, I didnt want to tell anyone because they might think I was crazy.
I enjoyed living here for the past 4 years Sadly we had to move. It was time. But maintenance always kept the area Clean and nice Location was perfect everything was so close in distance. Parking was no complain. I enjoyed my stay here. The office was very helpful getting our maintenance fixed and ready. Will miss this place

Trevor and all the staff went above and beyond to get us into our new home! We loved that we got to see “our” unit before signing & not just a model unit. Compared to the apartments we were in just before coming here we definitely feel at home!Edit: while living here has been great for the most part, one of my cars was vandalized and another was towed without any notification. So much for “security”.
Great staff and all around beautiful setting. I went to visit my mom who was living here and I love it. The parks and pool were clean and the gated community with the guard helps add an even greater sense of security.
I actually havent moved into the apartments just yet, but the amount of help and support Ive received from the apartments end is amazing! Everyone is so welcoming! I am moving from North Carolina to San Antonio and that process shouldve been much more of a headache than it has been all thanks to Cassandra, shes been so sweet and patient when it comes to reaching out for information or updating us on anything.
From the first day the staff at Stoneybrook were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Trevor was more than helpful and willing to handle any issues we had! Sad to say we have to leave so soon!
When I first checked this place out for my boyfriend and I, I spoke to a lady that is no longer there. The only reason I even went through with this place was because of her, to be honest. She was great! The day we started to move in, I was disgusted with the amount of roaches that were all over the place. I kept our place clean and sprayed raid at all times to make sure we didn’t have to deal with any more of them. We had issues with the office being so unorganized and had to deal with our parking spot being given out three different times. I have yet to receive an email stating the reason for the amount for electricity on our final move out bill, and that’s completely expected from them. I had walked into their office a couple of times and was not acknowledged at all. I personally dislike being ignored, but if you’re okay with that then, this is your place. I have never met so many rude and unorganized people in my life! I am so happy to finally be out of that place! Save yourself the trouble and don’t bother to throw your money away for this complex.
Trevor Schultz is the one who gave me my tour and helped me through the entire process of leasing an apartment. He was super helpful and was quick to communicate when he needed more information from me. And when I went to the office to pick up a package for the first time, he remembered my apartment number.The maintenance staff was very responsive when I had problems with my washer and my shower faucet.There are two additions that I would like to see: power outlets at the covered parking for working on vehicles and the availability to access packages which were delivered to the leasing office after the leasing office has closed.
Since moving in the front office staff has been tremendously helpful. Always friendly and get request done immediately, mostly same day. Being military and coming from Vegas they have made my moving experience stress free and I appreciate each and everyone ESPECIALLY TREVOR!!! He has helped me the most, and has phenomenal customer service.

Sketchy, completely inattentive to basic essentials upon move-in. Took almost a week to get air condition. Appliances loose and degraded. Almost zero urgency or timeliness by maintenance staff.

Ever sense Ive singed a one year lease this young man has helped me with every problem Ive had that always turned out to be a quick fix. And has always been friendly and respectful and helpful in ever aspect. This level of customer care has been the best. Thank you brother. Unless you want to get ripped off when you move out for $2.50 light bulbs and for normal wear and tear items. I would not move there. When I called them to have them explain the charges they directed me to call a different company to dispute the charges and stated it was out of their hands. I was billed for a $2.50 light bulb, oven top drip pans $20.00, carpet cleaning $87.00 which carpet should of been replaced prior to move in, painting for the walls $68.00 which was cleaned prior to move out no stains, billed for a cleaning service $51.75 which I left the place cleaned and completely empty. When I moved in no air was going out of master bedroom vents they said someone would fix the issue they advised me to put even darker curtains up or upgrade to blackout screens which they sell separate for a monthly fee. No one fixed the air ventilation problem and I kept asking every month just to get the run around blame game. Some of the staff is tolerable the rest completely ignores all issues and acts rude. Do not there find another apartment complex.
I recently moved into Stoneybrook Apartments about a week ago. This is one of the most amazing apartments Ive moved into. The process was so easy, I didnt even have to show my face except to pick up my keys. Courtney has taken care of me beyond her duty. I dont have any issues with my unit. The complex is clean as can be. I cant hear any of my neighbors, and everyone Ive meet has been great! I seriously cant think of one negative aspect of it. None of the reviews Ive seen online match the service Ive received. Everyone Ive talked to personally loves it as well. I work in the hotel industry and I know how vital reviews are to reputation. I can honestly say, this is one amazing place. 5 Stars / Service.
The apartment complex is very well kept and beautiful. My leasing agent Trevor Schultz was amazing and very helpful he went out of his way to help me and keep me informed of every step that was taken during the application process. Looking forward to moving in to this great property.
I have had a good experience with staff for the most part. As for the apartment itself, its decent. When I moved in there were stains on the carpet and rust in the sinks and tub. Everything else there were no issues. As for living here day to day. Parking is a huge issue! You are assigned a spot/spots based off the number of residents. If someone parks in your spot they get a warning the first time even though you are paying for that spot. Then on the second time if they already have a warning will get towed. I have had countless people park in my spot and not one person towed. I call the towing company directly and they stated there are 3 managers capable of getting a car towed. Tonight I called a left a message for the on call manager, no response. There is no excuse. If you have a person parked in your spot you pay for, there should not be a warning. Just tow the vehicle. I wouldnt recommend the apartment solely for that. There are visitor spots, however good luck finding one on a weekend.
Trevor my lease consultant was amazing ! By far the best experience I’ve ever had when leasing an apartment. He showed me everything the apartment complex had and I was blown away by how many recreational activities they have here ! He got all the information of everything I wanted in my apartment and nailed it ! He kept me up to date with the whole application process!

Just moved in but wanted to say how great it was to work with Trevor! He really went above and beyond in assisting me with questions and working with me (due to my work schedule) when I needed a few more days to come into the office for paperwork, even when I changed my move in date. All the while had to communicate through my sister which may have made it even more difficult for him (and her) Im sure it was not as easy as he made it seem. But I appreciate all his help! I see so many bad reviews, but can only rate based on my experience. We lived in a 3 bedroom unit for 6 years almost. The staff was friendly, they had events for residents almost monthly such as valentines day parties. Halloween parties, etc. We didnt have issues with neighbor noise at all and we lived in a building that was full of families with multiple children. We had in-unit laundry so we didnt need to use the laundry facilities, however I used the fitness center daily and it was always open, clean and operable. We had several issues with the AC, which is the reason for 4 stars, it seemed they never knew what was wrong with it, but it was always fixed within 48 hours or less. We also had issues with guests parking in our assigned parking spots, however this is out of the control of the office staff. We also saw people letting their dogs poop without cleaning up, even after getting reminders from the staff, residents still chose not to comply, again not the fault of the office workers. We paid rent online, on time every month, so we never had any issues. Upon move out, after living there for almost 6 years, we got $200 of our $800 deposit back.We also had family use the guest suites multiple times and did not have any issues whatsoever. The staff was always friendly. They even held packages for us months after we moved out and let us know they had been delivered to the wrong address.I would recommend this place to anyone and would move back here if needed. My family had a positive living experience.
As someone living an hour away commuting to San Antonio everyday for school, the apartment hunt has been difficult. Lacey at Storeybrook has made my experience so easy and pleasant, something that was not the case at ANY other apartment in town. The complex is very clean and so inviting and homey. I cant wait to live here. Thanks Lacey!
We moved in about 9 months ago, and if this apartment were a car, it would be a lemon. In the past 9 months we have had problems with AC, AC again (replaced), water heater, toilet 1, toilet 2, fridge, water heater again (replaced it this time), it rained in our bathroom for 5 days requiring removal of the plaster on the ceiling and a complete overhaul, our screen door didnt fit in the grooves, toilet still having issues, and the list of little repairs is even more extensive. Despite all the technical things that were wrong with this apartment, the maintenance staff were EXCEPTIONAL! Our biggest problem was with an uncaring and aloof staff that did not care that we could not get warm showers for more than 5 days. One staff member actually suggested putting a bucket of water in the oven and giving the baby a bath in the oven...really?So why didnt I rate this complex a 1 star? We have new management! The last few months have been night and day from the old management! We had a safety concern when a suspicious man approached our 11 yr old three mornings in a row, and the manager was extremely helpful as we filed police reports, had extra parents watching out, and the school PD and SA PD patrolled the area more frequently. The old staff would not have cared at all. We have even had some community events and fun little gift cards and prizes were awarded. So much better!Last summer I would have said to avoid this place like the plague, but now I can say it is worth a shot. There are still a few rough patches as the new management adjusts, but I have every confidence that it will smooth out.

With the pandemic going on people are out of work. Why would have a persons car towed that is on a payment plan with your apartment complex? Now this additional bill of 220$ plus 50 plus 30 daily fee .... This is my rent payment to you. Thank you very much to extremely rude unprofessional assist manger !!! Dont move here!
Im posting a review for my father. Beware of an office employee named Alex. A couple of weeks ago he had my fathers car illegally towed. Some idiot who illegally parked a white storage cubicle next to my fathers car lied and said his car was illegally parked. My father has parked in the same spot for almost two years with no problems. The police were called (thank you SAPD for helping my father) and he found out his car wasnt stolen (as he originally thought), it was towed to a location on N. Comal and Laurel and someone named Alex authorized it. The following day my father went to the office to talk to the manager...unfortunately guess who was in the office...Alex! He swore up and down he didnt authorize the tow. Minutes later, he finally admitted that he called to have the car towed. Good thing he didnt have to pay the fees to get his car out. Whats the point of having an assigned parking spot and your car STILL gets towed? Alex took the mans word like it was the Bible and did not do a proper investigation. If you decide to move here be sure to check your vehicle on a consistent basis. It may be towed for no apparent reason. Methinks Alex has done this before. If thats the case, he should be fired.
Decent apartments with security and gated community. Staff is attentive and prompt. Not a lot of energy efficiency (AC runs all the time, single paned windows, weather sealing in doors inadequate). Dont let web site and pictures influence you, check it out in person. Amenties are OK. Gym is decent; aerobic machines, smith machine, and free weights.
The absolute worst apartments to rent by far! They tell you want you want to hear to get you to Sign a lease... then ignore your main concerns. The small maintenance issues they take care of in a semi timely manner.. the real major issues are really not their concern because they don’t have to put up with any of it. They get to clock out and go home at 6pm ... good luck getting the major issues addressed. They have a 24 hour maintenance person but he’s no good, all he can do is apologize. I cannot wait until my lease is up!

My husband and I have been living here since January . I love that the place only has carpets in the bedroom! Solar shades are a plus too! Everyone seems friendly . I like the fact that the apartments are right off of 410 and so many stores are conveniently located close by. The closest HEB sucks because it’s small and they do not carry a lot of products we use so we drive an extra 15 minutes to another one or we just go to Walmart down the street. Anyways ....this review is not about HEB. I love the fact that they have a security guard posted at the front entrance all night. I used to live over by UTSA and I have noticed a heavier police presence in the area but have never had an issue on the property. Lots of trees are located on the property which brings good shade. Parking though is not good. All the spots seem like they are for compact cars so everyone’s on top of each other. I have had a few people park in my spot when I’m out on weekend nights. It’s annoying but I call and they get it taken care of in at least 30 minutes. I have also noticed this place has a weird amount of wasps around the property. I have knocked a few nests of my patio and they keep popping up. It makes swimming terrifying because the wasps drink water so they are always dive bombing the water.I would have gave the complex 5 stars but the wasps and parking bring it to 4 stars . Don’t let that discourage you though. Staff is friendly and so is maintenance ! They fix problems right away.
Not pleased rents always going up, office people always trying to fine you for things. Crime is prevelant shooting are always happening someone was stabbed here last year in their apartment. I pay $30 service fee for them to get paid instantly online f$$$$$$ BS Ill be moving as soon as I secure my next property. Never received my referral bonus. Just dont move here better place who will leave you be as long as you pay rent on time. By the way my rents always been paid day early for almost two years yet they are rasing rent and fining people who pay
I love the chance to talk to the staff and the assistance of the management team . I have great admiration for My leasing agent and she is so good at what she does that I can tell that this complex was the right choice. I would like to know more about our community and the perfection of the staff.

This place is pathetic! The staff is terrible, rude and disrespectful. They know they can be ugly because theres nothing you can do about it. Theyll evict you even for parking and make you pay a violation if you park too close to the lines. The parking is so compact theres no way to park without being too close. The roaches are horrible and they have stray cats all over the place. The maintenance guys are the ONLY good people around here. This place is a disgrace, they need to fire all the staff and get better people who smile and are welcoming. This one particular guy likes to talk down to women, he needs to be fired! I give this place a negative zero! Such an ugly environment. There are drug deals going on around here. They have a gate but its open all day, they let anyone in this place. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.
Ive lived her for about a couple months. The reviews dont match the experience. Ive had none of the problems that the others have. It has been great no problems so far. The gym could use an upgrade like heavier dumbbells, the office has so far has been good except when someone parked in my parking and they didnt do anything. The other thing is a noise upstairs neighbor who we can hear everytime he walks.
Parking issues aren’t addressed in a timely manner, washing machines are always under repair in laundry room. My vehicle was vandalized TWICE at night even with a gate guard/ security on duty.Overall it’s an ok place. Alex the property manager is helpful and understanding.

We are current residents. Current problem is parking. We work hours we leave when the office is closed and get home when the office is closed. We work long hours and when we get home someone is always parked on our spot. Seems every time this happens the on site security is not at the property. We have emailed several times and have yet to receive a response by either the staff or management.I finally had to miss teaching class on the Saturday to visit the office just to be told there is nothing they could about our situation and managers do not work on weekends. We have been tenants for a long time and have been given the impression this company no longer cares about its residents.I will officially be writing a letter of concern to its owner (s) to see if they are aware of the situation.
Neighbor above me had a pipe that busted and messed up our place. Management took over a month to come fix it, and then when we moved out they KEPT ALL OUR DEPOSIT AND CHARGED US EXTRA!Doesnt seem like any recourse when they can just mess up your credit and say whatever they want to say. Could try to sue but wasnt worth the hassle. Paid them the $200 they wanted and will try to warn others. Eventually youd think this thieving piece of crap place should go out of business from all these bad reviews everyone keeps leaving them.

Just reading all the bad reviews and never experienced any of the things these people are writing, been here 3yrs. I will say that the staff at one point when I started Living there were kind of stand-offish and sometimes rude but since the they have changed staff and they are nicer and friendly and call you back. I opted to upgrade my counter tops to the granite and although it took sometime I was able to schedule and get it done and it looks fantastic! As far a roach problem that Ive been reading NEVER Now I have seen a roach a time or two since Ive moved but not to the extent to where people are saying its a problem trust me I am extremely afraid of roaches and if it were a problem I would have moved out immediately I do have 2 cats so maybe they keep them at bay or these people writing the reviews are dirty or had dirty neighbors causing a roach problem. Anyways I give a 4 star rating because its quiet for the most part but theyre are children playing outside unsupervised that are little like 5 and under some of them (Not the Apts fault) but there isnt a parent in site, and the AC units on the outside make terrible high pitch noises right outside my apt. It keeps me up a night and Ive sent in multiple tickets to have it fixed I get a notice saying it has but at night when the unit kicks on the noise comes on again and its so loud. I never had an issue with lost packages.EVER! And I order a lot and not once has a package been misplaced they even gave me the courtesy to call me that I had package there for a while that I didnt know I had. I like the the security for the most part, but for some reason non-residents love to park in my spot and if I can ever find a security guard they cant do anything just put a notice on their car, but they are signs all over the complex that say the towing is enforced and they dont tow I call the office and they tell they are suppose tow the cars and dont know why theyre not, yet when I call the office to tell someone is parked in my spot they get the licenses plate make sure they arent a resident and if theyre not they call the tow company but thats when they tell me theyre going to do I have no idea if they do and the people get towed because Ill be back the the car is gone. Aside from that I dont have any major issues that people giving 1 stars but everyone has a different experience and so Im giving mine. I do plan on moving out next year just because the rent is going up which is expected after living there 3+ yrs. but if Id had to I would move back here. Im just waiting what the process will be like seems a lot of people on here have bad issues with the deposits and being charged extra I feel like that a common practice with any apt complex they did it to me an old apt complex I lived at prior so idk Ill have to see what happens.
I like this place, the pool its always in the right temperature, maintenance had come every time we have a problem, overall its a good place to rent. They have to improve in the equipment because its getting old and taking more care of the dog park

She is a driven young woman who makes good grades, is a good person, and who tries to be considerate of others at all times. There is a man in this apartment who is a danger for everyone. He does drugs out of his apartment, attempts to kick down doors, shoots guns on his porch and steals things from other peoples doorways. He has been known to shout obscenities, body shame, display racist behavior towards African Americans and Mexicans, and threaten others with a golf club. He carries a gun on him and uses the fact that he is a veteran for justification of his general hostility and displays of poor judgement. The police have been called on this man at least 4 times since January by more than one resident, yet he remains in the complex, becoming more and more likely to hurt someone everyday. Hopefully this apartment will at least have the decency to release my sister and brother in law from their lease before the police are cleaning their crime scene.

DO NOT MOVE IN TO THESE APARTMENTS! I have been living here for 6 months and have experienced nothing but problems! I have had maintenance enter my apartment without my permission for undocumented inspections, they constantly turn off the water without any notification, I have been reassigned parking spaces 3 times and now Im without parking (in an assigned parking apartment complex) due to staff not communicating and documenting information, no matter how many messages I leave I never get a phone call back from the staff or management, the a/c goes out for days at a time and when it does work it only cools in one room, the pipes leak, the dish washer doesnt work, the apartment exterior walls are filthy and there are spiders everywhere! Bottom line is unless you want zero customer service, you want to be ignored and you want to live in an old dirty dysfunctional apartment DO NOT CHOOSE Stoney brook apartments!Sincerely,A current resident who made a huge mistake!!!!

My brother lives here and the washers in the 600building are always broke. They have had a big hole in the ground in the back parking lot for about 6 months or more. The game room is a joke. And the mgr is rude and not friendly at all. But they talk and show the property like its a great place to live. Look at the amenities I mean go inside and look the back pool was dirty and foggy in the summer. Beware before u get locked into a lease.
Yes, they will give all kind of reasons to try not to refund the deposit. Even you have cleaned the apartment in the much better condition than at the time you moved in, they will still deduct you deposit. During the walked through, they would not say anything that you need to do in order to get your full deposit back. And many more reasons, tricks and scams, if you read others reviews.
We have lived in this apartment for 3 weeks. We requested the washer and dryer, did not receive till just 4 days ago and the dryer is not functionable. The apartment smells like smoke all the time, we clearly told them we have asthma and allergies and cannot be in an apartment that smells like smoke.. The AC was not working at all when we moved in, the ice maker is not working and hasnt been working, the bathroom has mold from water damage from previous renter. Im sure they kept their deposit and didnt repair the issue.. Theres rust all over the bathroom, the bathroom counter is warped, theres a huge stain on carpet, which Im sure they will charge a cleaning fee for.. this is amazing.. And, the front office doesnt care.. Im taking them to the BBB and the apartment governing authorities.. I wish we would have read all of these reviews prior to signing this lease..
