We have been living here for 3 years now and have had few issues that always get a promptly time frame fix. Our past maintenance guys sorry to say were not good at all... we have 3 new guys that have been here for about a year to 6 months and let me tell you Tony is on top of the game as well as a big shout out to (Chris) for fixing our A/C issue fast and checking on us the day after just to make sure the issues are resolved. I have never had any issue with the office and these girls in there are on their game as well. Our residents are awesome and its very quiet around building 5 as well as the whole complex. .Again a BIG SHOUT OUT TO CHRIT FOR GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND THANKS .

The worst! Rent is high and grounds are poorly maintained and bug infested. Office staff is inaccessible and upon vacating they charged twice for final water bill.

THERES WAY BETTER OPTIONS FOR YOUR MONEY.. Honest experience dealing with this property.. these apartments are extremely overpriced. The units are old and outdated and very small.. there are practically no amenities here either, there’s one swimming pool that’s about 4 ft deep, no play ground, basketball court, walking trail, etc there’s nothing here.. and the fitness room has a treadmill and a few free weights and has been closed due to construction for over a year.. The MANAGEMENT is even worse.. i was once behind on rent due to the pandemic and the leasing office wasn’t understanding at all.. they took me to court even though they were excepting my payments. The judge threw out there case because I was making payments and they were excepting them, the next thing I know I was being served a eviction notice because they wanted me to pay the court fees even though the case was dismissed..! This complex is not nice or luxurious for what you pay and honestly Ashley oaks is right across the street and has way better deals and square feet per dollar.. I would only stay here if it was the last resort.. its just way better apartments to choose from for your money.

The maintenance guys Chris and Anthony are awesome. They come through on their promises Great to know if I have any maintenance issues these two will take care of me!!

Maintenance is horrible here! Instead of actually fixing things the right way they would rather half it or barely fix it at all. The property management here doesn’t care that maintenance does their job or not. Always have to place work orders and it takes forever for them to even come out.

Canyon Oaks has been my home for three years and I highly recommend Canyon Oaks, if you are looking for a new place to call home!It’s a beautiful, safe, quiet property in a great location. The office staff and the maintenance staff are all wonderful! They are friendly, kind and quick to respond to any question or issue.

Buying out of my lease was the best thing I ever did. The nightmares from management will haunt me for years to come. Deserves less than one star.

When people say listen to reviews ... listen to them.I went ahead and signed because of how nice the leasing agents seemed before they received our signature. They made it seem like it was just people complaining and they were actually good apartments and cared for the residents.Maintenance is super friendly. We’ve had two things that needed to be done since we moved in. None of that has been done yet after asking in person, through email and on the phone. They either forget or just simply don’t care. I guess you get what you pay for. We didn’t see the apartment before moving in because the date they would tell us we could see we would show up and then they would have a excuse why we couldn’t see it. The apartment has been raggedy upon move in.I don’t think I’ve ever lived in a apartment complex that didn’t have work orders processed almost immediately. The list goes on and on for the issues we’ve had. Just save your money and move into a place that the staff actually cares for the people who are spending money and pay their rent on time every month. This place clearly doesn’t.

Lived here for 2 years and left because we wanted to upgrade to a house. The price is very decent for the area. Were not the types to use amenities but even then it was still worth the price. Management was always wonderful with us, and very responsive via email. Maintenance did a great job on everything. Plus, move out was great and easy! There is plenty of parking (even if its not right in front of your apartment) and the neighborhood is super quiet and safe. My singular complain is that you can hear everything that goes on upstairs and if you have someone with a kid or a dog above you, it can be very grating so invest in ear plugs. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this complex!

The best experience ever. Management and maintenance was amazing. The ladies at the office were always nice and polite ready to help you out. A very clean, peaceful, and fun environment. Maintenance was always on call even after hours when we had an issue with the lights going out, they were fast to fix things for us. Weve been here for a year and we love it. Definitely recommend this place to everyone.

RAT INFESTED, MOLD, dirty dirty place with awful management and awful corporate. They DO NOT care about their tenants. Instead of fixing issues with their residents they rather delete their review page so no one will see how bad they truly are.

Canyon Oaks is truly a place i call home . Being military i have lived in my share of apartments and Canyon Oaks is a great one! Very military friendly, you can truly tell that the staff cares about its residence and the property ! Maintenance is always quick and efficient! The office staff are always friendly and quick to help! It is important to know what is going on where you live, and they do an amazing job at keeping us as residents in the know! They are organized and they make apartment life easy! If you are looking for a place to call home, i highly recommend Canyon Oaks!!

We absolutely LOVE LOVE Canyon Oaks and their staff. We have been here for a year and it has definitely been a pleasant one. Maintenance is amazing, they come as soon as something happens, and are super Friendly and respectful. The area is always kept clean even with the remodeling the apartments are undergoing. It’s exciting to see everything come together with the remodeling process. We would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone!!!!

If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful property this is the place to be. The onsite staff is great and they are very attentive. They host fun interactive resident functions and give tacos out every month! the property is well kept and they have been putting in a lot of work. The girls in the office always have a positive fun attitude and greet you with a smile! The maintenance is great and respond in a timely manner! I recommend this place!

Feel like I was hustled. Its quiet here but for $839 on a 1 bedroom its definitely not worth it. Management comes into your apartment without notice, happened more than once. The apartment is small and not modern whatsoever. If I could do it all over again I wouldnt move here. There are so many other better apartments walking distance from these.

I really loved living here! I’m having to move since I now need a three bedroom but if it wasn’t for that then I wouldn’t be leaving at all. The office staff are amazing and so friendly!! Having the on call maintenance and trash pick up are great! I would recommend anyone looking for a one or two bedroom apartment to live here!

At first, the management was not very attentive or problem solving. We had a bad leak at the beginning of our contract, which was caused by the weather. We spoke with Shelby, the property manager or assistant manager, (we emailed her and she changed her title twice in the emails) and she did not want to help us at all. She was extremely dismissive and all we wanted was to make sure that the leak was fixed and our apartment was safe. We ended up having to call the corporate office and it was barely fixed, the new management company fixed it permanently. I am in property management on the Student Housing side, Shelby opening insulted myself and my profession in front of another employee, which was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional.Since the new management took over, we have seen the best changes. They finally fixed the landscaping, gorgeous. Every maintenance request is completed within a timely manner and professionally, without attitude and from employees with identification. The front office is not dismissive in any way, they are inviting and super sweet. The manager actually takes the time to talk to you and listens. Its just an all over better experience. Very pleased with the changes.

I moved in here late December.Katie was so helpful from the very beginning. Well everyone was very kind and helpful. They got me into a home way sooner than I thought which I greatly appreciate! Any little issue I’ve had they have fixed the same week it was reported. It is so quiet and peaceful here and everyone seems so nice and welcoming! I’m so glad I moved here and have no complaints!

I have lived here for 8 years and am planning on renewing my lease again. I love the area and there have been a lot of improvements made by the current staff such as picking up the grounds when residents forget their mother doesnt live here to pick up after them and their pets. It is an older complex but the current maintenance team has been responsive to any requests I have made by phone, email or in person or the office has kept me up to date on any items that needed to be ordered. There are also upgrades being made to apartments such as flooring, siding, balconies/patios. The office staff do the extra things that make it more of a community such as Taco Tuesday and holiday events. There is an officer on site as well. The office staff, maintenance crew and grounds maintenance team work very hard to make this a great place to live.

We want to thank the ladies in the Canyon Oaks Leasing office. Every time we have had a concern or request, they have acted on it quickly and have followed up to make sure it is resolved. I am constantly getting deliveries and they are so kind to go the extra mile and contact me on an order they know I have been waiting for. The apartments are extremely nice, and even though when I walk outside I can hear the noise of my neighbors, once I enter the apartment I cant hear anything at all.Every issue Ive had gets fixed immediately and the people in the office are super nice.For the price, its one of the best apartments Ive had.

Where Are the Mail Boxes?

I cant say enough about how at home I feel living at Canyon Oaks.There is a great sense of community and being so pet friendly is a MAJOR plus! The entire staff is so attentive, from the quick responding maintenance team to the friendly ladies in the office. Couldnt ask for a better place to call home!

This place is a total rip-off. Did the walk-through gave money for the application then they drag their feet and finally gave me an answer. I have good history with rental properties but they try to nail me for over a grand for deposit for no other reason other than they said that my daughter had too many mortgages on her credit report when the mortgages were from 7 years prior to her birth.

Such a pet friendly place! Staff is great and super friendly. I even brought my dog to tour the property and they had dog treats in the office!

Just moved here last month, so far so good. The grounds are kept well and apartment is nice. The office staff is all about business though. This area in San Antonio is nice and quiet for the most part.

Ive been here at Canyon Oaks for almost 2yrs now. The only reason I stayed for this long was because of the location and price. They sent me a renewal notice letting me know that if I decided to renew with them I would have to pay $100 more and that was a steal. That is ridiculous especially since Ive been here for a while. These apartments are not worth the extra $100 especially since a/c unit doesnt even work properly which I have complained about. A/c only cools and warms up the bedroom while living room and kitchen is hot during summer or cold during winter. Appliances are really old like 1970s old. Fridge is always leaking, doesnt even make ice and I cant even use bottom drawers because of the water it always accumulates. Theyve tried to fix the issue to no avail so i just stopped letting the office know, I have to clean water from the fridge every morning. Balcony has rotten boards all over, its a hazard to anyone who tries to use it, it is literally falling apart. I have never tried to use it because of how dangerous its. Some residents have actually fallen from the balcony because the sides of the wood boards broke.

It’s okay to live here. Price is right and it’s generally safe and quiet. The staff is nice, maintenance folks are responsive and residents keep to themselves in general.

Only good thing about Canyon Oak is the maintenance staff. Very fast and reliable. As far as the leasing agents I find them very subpar. I know these are cheap apartments however if youre getting paid to do a job then do your damn job. The way they treat residents or even potential residents youd think they were making minimum wage. Havent encountered the management staff as of yet and that might be an issue. The first apartment we were shown was beautiful however the unit they had us move into (which we werent allowed to see until move in day) was and is horrendous. Rotten wood everywhere and the carpet hasnt been treated ever it would seem. The exterior is in horrible shape but like I said its cheap. Will not be renewing our lease. Would not recommend unless desperate

Weve been living there about 4 months and we love it!! The office staff is very friendly and the maintenance staff works with my schedule when I need something done. Not to mention that I have the best neighbor. I know not everyone might agree with me, but this is my review based on my experience so far.

I would never recommend these apartments/ business as a whole to anyone. Me and my family were applying together and “ SOMEONE” decided to ran my credit without our full party’s signature or complete application. Then they claimed to have reached out to us several times after their BAD judgement call. After I expressed how Upset And uninterested I was with these apartments, they had the decency to let me know my application was expired anyways -“that means it’s no longer valid.” Thanks for the lesson Canyon Oaks BUT no thank you!Do not go here if you have any sense at all!

Ive lived here for over a year now and have really enjoyed living here. Office staff is really in tune with making sure residents are happy here. The property is dog friendly and has a dog park as well wich is great for my dog.

Moved in last month, Water got shut off 3 different times. Then when you need to have your apartment sprayed for fleas, they cannot give you an ETA on the tech since its a third party vendor and the tech has until 530 to get here to spray, not sympathetic at all. I cannot wait until my lease is up!!!!! I will never refer anyone to this property.

This is showing Canyon point but I live at canyon oaks and have been here 4-5 months no issues and if anything ever needs addressing it is addressed by the next day.love this place. quiet and no trouble.

I moved into Canyon Point in June of 2011 and have NOT had any issues with the staff, infestations, maintenance, parking, or even the neighbors. This is a quiet place to live, no one messes with you, and affordable. The only issue I have is with the trash dumpsters, messy, messy, messy, but thats minor.

Seen a lot of news stories about infestation problems at the property.

Great property that is professionally managed and maintained to a fault.The staffs persona is equivalent to family members welcoming you home.

I have lived here for 2 1)2 years its been a great experience its beautiful and quite the staff is so nice and helpful and friendly the maintenance guys are pretty fast at getting work orders done .

If you live on the sun side of the apartment on Building 7 you will be paying so much for electricity since they cant / wont fix anything with the A/C or even tint the windows cause the sun coming into Apartments increase 10-20 degrees hotter during the summer or even late spring so those good 3-4 months looking at $100-200 /month on electric bill smh .. Ive reported so many times its ridiculous! They dont have enough staff to keep the apartment looking good where on trash days (Mon, Thur) are terrible since trash just sits out of everyones apartment for at least 4-5 hours till someone pick it up. What we have to pay ($809)as much as a higher end apartment isnt worth it !

The pool is green and for summer time that was not an attractive amenity. The next apartment complex had a much better pool!

My friend lives there and she says theyre infested with rodents, Yikes!!!🤪🤮

Canyon oaks takes advantage of military beware before you sign a lease here. Took $1100 from me I never moved in I’ve never even seen the apartment and to make it worse they put it on my credit report that I owe another $1000 because they had to re advertise or some bs excuse they gave trying to move here was the worst decision I could have made I’m out of $1100 and I’ll eventually have to pay the $1000 they placed on my credit report to avoid a bad renting history

ACTIVE/VETERANS PLEASE READ LOOKING OUT FOR MY MILITARY FAMILY.!!!! my fiancé lived here with her mother. i was there as a witness when they had paid rent, & was told specifically by the manager yahtzee I believe was her name, that the rent would be covered and the remaining bills would be transferred over to the next month, and from there they could do a payment plan on property damage, instead after they moved out at the end of lease. they thought their money went to rent, as she stated in person to me and my fiancé face.. she decided she would use it towards other bills instead so she could file them for a eviction after all, she swore up and down she would use it for the rent, she said their move out date was August 31st so they moved out by that date, she then served papers to no one because no one was living there, and showed up to court which my fiancé or her mother had no knowledge of this so called court date.. there was no phone call no email nor did they sign any document knowing they got served, we went in person and asked her about this she said she used that towards others bills etc after she told us it would be used for rent. we asked for a blank lease to see where it states they can pay other bills with the rent money, SHE COULD NOT PROVIDE ONE, ASKED FOR ANY RECORDS OF DOCUMENTATION THEY COULD NOT PROVIDE ANYTHING, said they got rid of EVERYTHING and this was roughly a yr ago or so. we then asked for a judgement release and we will pay the remaining balance of rent and she would then just have to sign the paper but she refused, no reason what so ever other than SHE JUST DIDNT FEEL LIKE IT, and wanted to give us a hard time. the precinct said they can sign if they want to just up to them (canyon oaks), so i guess she really just doesnt care too much is all. from my understanding she had a personal issue with the mother but she definetly needs to separate personal problems from business because that money was for rent specifically, future reference make sure you get documents and copies for everything and signed off that you are putting money specifically to rent on your cashier check etc. record if you can any transaction cause she definitely will find a way to take advantage. just glad it wasnt me that this happened to. as a FORMER MARINE WITH VERY HIGH MORALS. This alone just as a human being was VERY WRONG WHAT SHE DID. THAT ALONE Should speak on how she operates as not only a manger but as a individual herself. Very disappointed in her management and her just as a person.at the end of the day your word is what makes a person.

Lived here for 2 and half years, very good people who manage the apartments, wish that I did not move out so soon.

This was a bad bad experience living here. They give you vague details about the trash pick up addendum and then penalize you for their mix up even if its the first time this was noticed. The management was horrible. They will go inside your apartment and break something and refuse to fix it until you pay rent even if you paid the months rent that is due. Make sure you keep your receipts because they are sooo disorganized and rude. That apartment needs a make over on the whole property.

I love it here its so quite and our neighbors are nice the only problem we have it our bathroom fossit it keep going out but other that its great place to live

Horrible place the smell of dead rats. Neighbors let their dogs poop on patio and stunk. Also someones washer went crazy flooded our dinning room and they did nothing about it. Smelted nasty. So yes I left and broke my lease bc they are nasty.

This place is a job. When you move out try to charge you for petty things. Not a good service when it comes to renting. Just all around just not a good place to live at.

Canyon Point 16550 Henderson PassThis is the Worst apartment complex EVER!! I had to deal with a RAT infestation for 6 months!!! They would not let me out of my lease!!! I found my dog chewing on a dead rat, rat droppings in my bed, kitchen and living room. I complained for two months about a smell of decaying rats. They tried to blame it on my dog, left me rude notices that; “They didn’t find anything… smell is due to dog!!” I finally moved the refrigerator myself to discover a decaying rat that had not been found for two months along with dropping and a huge hole they had been coming in after they had been, “doing everything to solve the problem.” They neglected my apartment, my complaints and the fact that I could not stay there because of rat feces, noise, and unhealthy living conditions. I was living on friends couches and such because management was doing nothing!! Horrible management who doesn’t respond to messages, letters and comes up with excuses for everything!! Finally after the 6th dead rat I found ( even after pest control cleaned the apartment!) They let me out of the contract, but without getting my deposit back, still made me clean rats messes and are now trying to prorate me for 6 days I wasn’t even there!!! Horrible Horrible Horrible apartment complex!!! I know that 3 other tenants in my building also moved out because of problems like this. Save yourself, your health and your family and DO NOT MOVE IN!!

The lazy girl behind the desk could get up more to help or assist the people that probably pay here salary when we ask for our packages or other items that ups or fed-ex drops off . No problems with the other professional, nice, friendly ladies there.Other then that, The Neighbors’ are quit. People mind there own but look out for each others property. Great place to live.

The address listed here is wrong, it should be 16500 Henderson Pass. I set up my Cable and Electrical under the wrong address because of this incorrect listing. It was a pain to correct, and the poor people actually at 16550 must be hating me right now.

For starters Jillian was THE BEST! She was an asset to this company and I sure do miss her. She was very professional, compassionate and friendly. An all around sweat heart! When I was looking for apartments Jillian sold me on this location. She would have made an amazing manager.But since her absence this place just isnt the same. The office staff is extremely RUDE! Especially the new girl thats sitting at the front desk. Dark hair, glasses, NOT PERSONABLE. ( Name Unknown.) No cards or name tags.There are no more warm greetings when you enter their office. Instead you get a bunch of eye rolls and treated as an inconvenience. The office staff clearly need to be reminded that residents are the reasons they have a job. Im not one to complain but my last few encounters with the new leasing office have been unbearable.Maintenance on the other hand is still awesome. They are very professional, friendly and detailed. Their hardwork does not go unnoticed and is greatly appreciated!Like most other reviews I will mention that these appliances SERIOUSLY need to be updated. They barely work, which isnt a surprise since these vintage appliances were released Before I was born. My fridge leaks, has rust stains in the inside, Broken shelves and drawers. My Stove doesnt even function correctly.Another issue which I believe is soon to be addressed are the unsafe balconies. A few neighbors including myself have severely water damaged balconies. Maintenance should be founded to correct these unsafe balconies. Someone could get hurt.Its not all bad, Ill admit though the the layout to these apartments are GREAT. Its very spacious and homie. Friendly residents and quiet neighbors. Its a peacful environment with good vibes. some New appliances and a friendly professional office staff and a few new ficed balconies would make this place perfect!I met the new manager once so in all fairness and honestly I must exclude her from my office staff comments since I barely delt with her and when I did she was quite pleasant. I do feel this new manager or corporate office needs to get involved and start take these reviews into account and implementing these improvements to better assist there residents.Before I looked forward to going into the leasing office. WORST APT IVE EVER STAYED AT. DO NOT STAY HERE. THEY MESSED UP MY CREDIT SCORE W/ FALSE CHARGESfrom the first day we moved in we had problems with the air conditioning not cooling we dealt with the heat for two months with reassurance from maintence that they were In the process of fixing it. then the fall rolled in and we didnt worry about it until spring came around and we were having the same problems w the A/C. my boyfriend is an A/C tech by profession and finally got fed up w/ dealing with the idiots in maintence. he checked the system him self and found that we had a bad compressor. we sat down with apt manager and the head maintence guy and explained to them what we found. and they told us that there was nothing they could do for us. of course this made me and my boyfriend furious knowing that we had 5months left on our lease with these crooks. we threatened to get lawyers involved if a/c problem and roach problem wasnt addressed within the week. and of course nothing was done. about a week later we come home from work and there is a eviction notice on the door of our apt. so we went to talk to apt manager like WTF is going on, and she said that she didnt receive last month rent and the apt had excessive damage because of our dog which was complete bulls**t . we had the money order stub showing we did pay it and our dog is very tame and well behaved. hes been and inside dog for 5 years. sooo those crooks charged us $3200 in false charges which of course we refused to pay . and its been haunting our credit ever since. so I highly recommend staying as far away from those horribel apts, and the useless idiot staff they have at canyon oak apts. the villas,the apt complex across the street from canyon oaks is waaaaaaaay waaaaaaay nicer and have a good honest staff DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THESE DUMBIES

When I first moved into the complex everything seem on the up and up smiling faces friendly staff no problem. All the change once my AC started breaking continuously not once not twice not three times try seven times. To their credit they would have someone come out every time and do a little miniature fixture but at the time my child was only five months years old burning up in the summertime. Shortly after that we started having a bad ant problem. It was so bad that I had to take my daughter to the ER on two separate occasions I let the office manager know and it was just like talking to a wall basically. After all that my car was stolen from their taken to Mexico I explain this to them as well the head manager because I needed a few more days to cover my rent they said they could make an exception and less it was an extraordinary circumstance now getting your car stolen and taking to Mexico I don’t know what’s worse. One day I decided to remove my fridge raider I’m sorry move it noticed that there was a whole strip that Hadn’t even been finished off yet when I brought it to their attention and asked why they moved us into a unit that was not thoroughly prepared no answer and attitude. When I asked for the supervisor of the head manager she told me to Google it. Say all that to say this I wanted to buy a house but I needed one more year and I said you know what don’t really feel like moving even though this place is a major headache I was refused renewal because I voice my complaint is called the head property in Dallas and even that manager act like she cared to an extent but skyline properties I would definitely stay away from.
