This apartment complex started out really nice because of how affordable it is. However, I was very disappointed when for months at a time we one had 1 working washing machine for the whole apartment complex and the pool has been closed because it is not being maintained. I have mentioned my frustration many times and nothing seems to be changing.

I was a tentative applicant for this property and really enjoyed the customer service I received. I initially called over a month prior to my requested move in date and Liz was an absolute sweetheart. I am moving from another state and Liz made me feel so welcomed and really looking forward to moving here. Fast forward and I end up having to need to move in a shorter time than I expected. I was impressed with Hearthstones availability and how quick I could get into an apartment. The application process was seamless and Liz and her team were open to all of my questions and were quick to get me answers. Although I ended up not choosing this complex I am more than happy with the service and professionalism I was met with from Liz.

Would give zero stars if I could. For starters I left a previous review about this place that has mysteriously disappeared, but I have no problem writing another because people deserve to know what a POS place this is before spending their money to rent here.For starters, I was told on move in day that I could come by anytime after 9 AM to pick up my keys, and I even called before driving over to make sure someone would be in the office for me to get my keys. Liz told me to come on over and they had everything ready for me. Upon arriving, I noticed I got a voicemail from Liz saying they wouldn’t be ready for me until 4 PM. They had a month’s notice from my signing to have this place prepared for me, and they still tried to turn me away until 2 hours before the office closed on move in day. Thankfully with a little arguing they realized I contractually had a right to move in at any time that day, whether they had prepared for it or not, and they gave me my keys. Otherwise I wouldn’t have been moved in until midnight that night.Once I got in my new apartment, I could immediately tell it hadn’t been cleaned. There were roaches and dust everywhere, like someone hadn’t lived there in months. My greatest issue though is the AC unit that drains water above the bathtub. When I asked if there was any way to stop this, or divert the gross water outside instead of dripping on my head when I shower, I was told it’s “a feature of the apartment” and nothing could be done to fix it.Other grievances include the pool and gym that we pay for monthly are always closed “due to Covid”, there’s no outgoing mail slot, we pay $12 a month for trash services (when we have to take our own trash out so I’m not sure what the service they’re providing is), the front office employees are never there when they’re supposed to be open, and I had a neighbor that opened one of my packages. When I asked the front office if I could have my packages delivered to them (since I had a neighbor who steals) they were incredibly unhelpful and refused to make an exception “because of Covid”.Long story short, don’t rent here. The neighbors are awful, and getting help from the front office is impossible.

Would give zero stars if I could. Don’t rent here especially if you are a FIRST TIME RENTER. First of all the place is terrible. the carpet was already messed up when we moved in and, they painted over the bottom of the bathtub making it really slippery and chipped off more and more each time we used it. There was a lot more but the worst part is when we moved out I went to the office to do a walk through but they told me it wasn’t needed and they would take care of it after we left. But then three years later they sent us a debt collection for $1,285.21 then we disputed the claim and we thought they gave up on the debt but then another year later (4 years after we moved out) then they sent us another debt collection. They will take advantage of first timers MAKE SURE TO DO THE WALK THROUGH.

Would give them no stars if I could. Make sure to walk the apartment with them at the end of lease. They will over charge you. Also save copy of apartment inventory they will not save paperwork.

Really bad place to live. Heard someone get murdered outside my window around 2am in the morning. Very sketchy place. Charged me over $2,200 after I moved-out for new paint, new carpet and de-trash after living there for over a year. Only occupied apartment for 6 months but made the mistake of letting a buddy crash for a few days. I had the carpet deep-cleaned and I never messed with the paint so I dont think this is fair. Please dont give these thieves your money!!!

At first it was nice.... until the following month it was gross. There were gnats everywhere! You could not eat in peace at all. Roaches were everywhere as well as spiders and flies and millipedes. On top of that, neighbors had dogs who would bark constantly and also it would smell of dog urine/poop when we would come home or leave to work. There was even an evening coming home from work to find a big puddle of muddy water in the front door entrance to our apartment. Noticing they cleaned the walkway but was very unprofessional about it. They took a while to fix our front door. They never fixed our patio door like they said they would. Oh and lastly the paint on the cabinets were cheap. It would chip off so easily it was ridiculous. Just by opening and closing the cabinets, paint would chip off. Back to the bugs – I even found millipedes on the ceiling above me after I finished showering I was so grossed out by that I couldn’t deal anymore more. Office people hardly there to let em know about stuff going on. Nobody should live with those conditions. If I could rate this with zero stars I would. Pricey too. Find something else than these. It ain’t worth it.

Weve been here 4 months and so far everything has been great. Any issues we had were addressed immediately by maintenance. Mark and Richard are very conscientious and helpful. The office ladies are nice and friendly. So far, so good!

I will be looking for new apartments when my lease is up.

Brooke helped me get my mother into a one bedroom apartment recently and did a fantastic job! She made the process very easy while my mother was moving from 5 hours away. The apartments are slightly outdated, but feel comfortable, and make you feel at home. The landscaping is gorgeous, and it is overall a quiet community. Definitely recommend moving here.

Had a cool maintenance guy come over and replace a door knob. Forgot his name but really willing to get the job done. Hearthstone maintenance is prompt! And they fix it!

I really enjoy living here its quite nothing crazy ever happens here but honestly its really the people that i like. Earline and Adam just care and it shows. Mistakes may happen but their not against fixing them and keeping you updated. I know im a little difficult to deal with but they never turn me away or even give me an attitude. I really appreciate you guys tremendously!

This place is nice. The location is great and the staff is awesome! Luis the maintenance guy is on top of all the work orders and always checks after to make sure you dont have any other issues. The front desk is always so nice and helpful. The apartments are very spacious and so cozy. The only negatives I have is roaches in my kitchen. No matter how clean I kept it they always came out. Also, the pressure for the hot water sucks. It makes a loud screeching noise when the pressure drops. All in all my expericnce was great! The neighbors are nice when I see them and it is a safe place. I recommend it.

Good, spacious floor plans. The maintenance crew is really good at keeping on top of things and fixing things PROPERLY within a reasonable time. staff in management office are all very helpful and nice. only complaint is ants and spiders are an issue even though pest control is included in monthly rental fees, and the apartment was not exactly move in ready (sinks in kitchen and restroom were leaking upon move in but were fixed within a few days). the water is not as softened as I would like (seems like a lot of calcium and lime deposits are floating in tap water), but I blame that on the old pipes of the buildings since it is an older complex that hasnt had the pipes redone in a few years. overall Id say its a fantastic place to live! very community oriented and friendly overall!

These apartments were an issue from day one. Upon moving in I found that nothing in the apartment had been cleaned at all. I had to clean the fridge, stove, carpet, fans, tub, toilet, and mirror. Besides the cleanliness of the apartment there were other issues (that still exist 10 months later) like the boards on the balcony area that are completely rotted and have nails sticking up out of them or what looks like chewing tobacco spit all over the walls on the stairwell. Not to mention, when I moved in the stair railing was missing in one area and my nephew fell through it and hit his head on the ground. There were no safety prevention at all...just a missing railing.I found larger issues later. My shower was completely rusted all the way around and allowed water to leak into the walls. The air-conditioner continually ran a stream of water into the tub at all times, the walls had been painted but none of the holes were filled. The painters painted over the holes, screws, nails, tacs, and in the bathroom painted over a previous tenants paper boarder around the top of the walls. The toilet paper holder kept falling off the wall (and still is), there was paint in the carpet, and water stains around all the windows and coming down one wall in the dining area. The stove was covered in rust and the metal burner pans on it had not been changed from the previous tenant. The kitchen floor has such a gunk build up on it that I could not get the black goo off the baseboards or out the corners with a razor blade (yes, I even tried paint trials and industrial cleaner to get the goo off), and every time you turn on the kitchen light the bathroom electrical outlets trip and will not work. I notified the front office on countless occasions and sent emails with pictures. All of these issues are still occurring except the dishwasher that I cleaned myself.I placed tickets in the beginning of May 2019 to have my shower fixed, to address the water stained walls, the grout coming out in my shower, and my counter tops sticking to everything sitting on them. After a week of not hearing back, I called and spoke to Liz who stated she would have someone contact me. A week later I called back because no one reached out to me. I spoke to Adam who informed me that my email and requests had been overlooked. He stated he would put them in now and have them looked at.Two months later, I reached back out to Adam by stopping at the front office because maintenance never fixed any issues in my apartment. Adam walked to my apartment with me took pictures of all the issues including the large wholes in the bathroom wall from the shower being installed and where the maintenance man took his finger and smeared caulk into the holes. He also took pictures of the burn marks in the floor where the man who installed the tile in the shower cut tile with a saw on my bathroom floor. Adam notified me he would be telling the manager and contacting corporate to get all these issues fixed.Two weeks passed before I called the front office back. I spoke to Adam again who said he would have the manager contact me because still nothing has been done. The maintenance team had not even stopped by once. Eileen the manager called me an hour later and apologized for all the mix ups. I explained they are not mix ups. My apartment has never had any issue addressed since prior to May 2019 and it is the end of July. She promised she would get right on the issues and wanted to make my last 2 months the best they could be at Hearthstone. It is now Septermber and still not one person has been to my apartment to fix anything. Once again, I will attach all the photos and videos of the air conditioning dripping water in my bathtub and ruining the tub, the water stains on the walls and window seals, my counter tops adhering to everything set on them, the holes in my bathroom walls, the grout falling out of the tile, and the rust in all my vents and around my air conditioning unit.

Im rating the Hearthstone apartments with a 5, being that they were able to assist me with getting an apartment (the actual apartment I was shown) by the end of this month. Thank you Hearthstone stone staff!! I was extremely pleased with the outstanding customer service I have received thus far! I did have to pay an extra fee, but I am completely understanding bc I have a broken lease. I will definitely keep yall updated with my experience here at the Hearthstone apartments.

For 7 MONTHS now our mailbox has been broken. When we asked the staff about it they kept asking if we had our mail forwarded never mentioning that the mailbox lock was broken and 3 buildings worth of people were having to pick up their mail at the post office. We moved in June 2017. It is now January 2018 and we just received mail that we needed in October.

I just moved in about a month ago my apt was very clean and ready to move in the office staff from the leasing agent the assistant & manager were very kind and made this process really easy I truly love my apt., just got to meet my neighbors and they are so nice. I will highly reccomend this place if you are looking for a nice, affordable & quiet place please consider this property you will not regret it.- Debi

I have lived here for 3 months. The apartment office staff has addressed every concern I have had. The maintenance people are great and extremely hardworking, and responsive. Unfortunately, I have to move because I am moving to Washington DC for work reasons. I hope that my next apartment is half as nice as this one.

I viewed what is now my apt around early June. I liked it and really liked the community seemed quiet and clean. There was a great special going on and after viewing at least 10 other apartments, I knew none of them stuck with me like Hearthstone. I dealt mostly with Lindsay, the assistant property manager. I liked that every time I saw her she knew who I was, and to this day still does. I dont feel like Im just SOME resident. Now for the important part, what its been like living here. The day I moved in, I was beyond excited. I walked the apt quickly before going to pick up my kids and bring them home. I noticed a couple things and walked over to the office to tell Lindsay. She immediately got maintenance over. When I came back with my kids the maintenance man let me know my ac needed a part that wouldnt be available until Monday. I was upset to say the least, the thought of spending the weekend in a hot apartment made me quickly wonder if I had made a mistake. Let me tell you, I didnt. Maintenance set up a portable ac so that the kids and I were comfortable. It actually got so cold with the portable ac that we hadnt to turn it off for a bit. Monday I came home from work and my apt ac was working and all was fine. My apt is clean, and quiet. I can tell you I super hate cockroaches and Ive seen only a couple through my time living here. Pest control comes and services at your request and leaves you a note letting you know. Recently cps energy came in with an apt. Rep and put new energy saving light bulbs. Parking is great, and management is making upgrades to the property all the time. The pool is smaller than Ive had in the past but I absolutely love that it doesnt get crazy or loud. I dont really hear my upstairs neighbors at all which is great. As for utilities, I have not paid more than 58 dollars a month on electricity, and no more than 40 on water and I have 3 kids in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. I think thats pretty awesome considering Im always washing and drying. I really do feel we had a rough start with the couple items that needed tending to when I first moved in, but the staff here at Hearth stone quickly changed that. I am happy and my kids are happy. I would definitely recommend living here. Im super close to everything and the medical center above all.

I have been a resident here for 5 years now and have not had any problems. The staff is always friendly and complete all work orders promptly. I have recommended family and friends to live here and Im happy to call Hearthstone home.

Dont rent here unless you are ok with this company using every unethical opportunity to take a few more bucks from you that they can. Even though the local office, staff can be nice they dont have any power to make the corporate office do the right thing, and the local office team changed 3 times the year I was there. Previous staff all left in protest due to issues like this. Local management confirmed that I left my apartment beautiful and able to be re-rented immediately. I turned my keys in on time, but their records show the key was not returned until 3 days later and it was MY responsibility to prove their system wrong so they kept all but $6.00 of my deposit. And this was just the last in a long line of constant battling to prevent them from ripping me off. Go rent somewhere else if you want any peace or fair treatment at all.

Wonderful apartment complex! I have lived here for a year and am in the process of moving into a bigger unit with another year lease. They do work with broken leases and paid off evictions - you may just need to put down more to move in. I found this apartment through an apartment finder group due to my previous rental history after divorce.I have NEVER had problems with the office staff. Every time I have had an issue, they have been kind and willing to work with me to get it resolved. Just remember to treat the staff how you would want to be treated ;)The maintenance crew is wonderful - I had some issues with my air conditioning and when the guy came to fix it, he noticed I needed an aerator on my bathroom faucet and did it for me without asking. Sounds so simple but meant a lot to me because he cared. All my other issues have been resolved in a timely manner.Units are kept clean, grounds always are kept clean. It is quiet. Most people think apartment complex and think of it being noisy but that definitely isnt the case. The pool is pretty awesome, too! It isnt unusual to see families out there BBQing. They will even invite you to join them while you are out there.I have never used the laundry facility there - I have always used a laundry mat up the road with high capacity washer and dryers but the ones on site looked nice/clean.

NEED SECURITY OR SAPD TO BE AROUND 24/7 365 DAYS A YEAR! AND ALSO NEED MORE MAINTENANCE STAFF ASAP!

Lived here for almost 2 years.1. Building/inside apartment: it is comfortable, clean and well maintained. Tiles and bathtub were in good condition. So as the appliance in the kitchen. this is not a fancy modern looking apartment. Cabinetries and some features a old looking but functional. Also the price is reasonable for good quality well maintained safe neighborhood apartment that is close to medical center.2. Noise/neighborhood: never had issues with obnoxious noise. Management is prompt in action when you bring up valid concerns. Neighborhood in general is good. You wont see people screaming outside etc. No ghetto vibe if I may say.3. Parking: oh my something that you will not have any problem-a lot of spacious parking spot.4. This places layout is peaceful. Compared to other surrounding apartments, the buildings are well spaced and proportional to the size of the driveway gives it a bit so crowded feeling.5. Staff: they are polite but there are times when they can make you feel like they dont have time for you. But they get the job done-which is more important. I guess its just me. I dont want to be presumptuous with the staff but a charming friendly, personality can go a long way.6. Rain/flooding: no flooding even on heavy rainsThings to improve:-I guess to make it gated, but like I said the neighborhood is peaceful-Some buildings have their gutters filled with dead vegetation, can use some clearing on those.If I am not changing cities, I would have extended my stay here longer. I love my spot and its really close to work.

Weve lived in the oldest part of this complex in a single apartment for several years now. There was a number of issues that we had to complain about (several times over) before they were fixed. Management replaced several in maintenance and things got a lot better. We later had an issue with several people misbehaving usually at night and when management realized what was going on they very promptly evicted those tenents. Management (especially the Apartment Manager Didi) is on the job, friendly, and ready to listen. We deeply appreciate that.

Outside is clean and quiet and there is great sunlight coming in to my apt. Its great I wont mind renewing my lease when its up, btw the office staff is great keep up the good work.

Although I got rejected Brittini went above and beyond to try and get me approved. The love she has for what she does shows not too mention she was extremely patient with me. I was having trouble getting back in to pay for fees and she walked me through it as well as making my payment due to me getting frustrated. She kept the line of communication open as well as responding to me the same day or apologizing for the delay response. I highly recommend moving here because they go above and beyond to help future residents. She’s for sure a caring and sweet young lady.

Horrible management. Lied to me about lease terms and working with students and interns. Was here for a summer and reported AC issues multiple times. Never fixed. Had to report other issues multiple times as well. Trying to move out and the manager has dodged my calls for over 3 weeks. Always told she is not here, or when she is she keeps saying she is waiting for her supervisor. Not sure what she manages, but its not tenant leases apparently... never recommending this except to steer clear of.UPDATE:After 3+ weeks of trying to chase down an answer to my lease dilemma, the Regional Manager stepped in to help me resolve things. I still agree that the manager is never in the office and that I had to chase staff for items, but the Regional assured me theyd work on that.My Unit was decent, my feedback had way more to do with the staff and my experience. Ill bump them from a 1 to a 3 with the intervention of the Regional Manager stepping in.

If you move here, you will make the worst mistake of your life.Summary: Overpriced, cockroach and wasp-infested apartments that havent been remodeled since the 1980s, broken appliances, dysfunctional AC units, car and apartment break-ins common, police and crime scene units/homicide investigators here weekly, ghetto neighbors brawling in the parking lot, water cut off at random times several times a week, and horrible office staff who couldnt give two craps about you or any of the things I just mentioned. STAY AWAY!Highlights of our 1 1/2 years at Hearthstone:-Property manager trying to sue us over damage in our unit caused by their own pipes (according to their own employed maintenance man)-Property manager harassing the elderly tenant living below us, and many other residents, including us-Coming home on Easter Sunday to find a homicide investigation vehicle at the building next to ours, then finding a CSI vehicle at a different building about a week later-Downstairs neighbors apartment being broken into twice in one week - one time, having his door kicked in-Our car broken into in broad daylight and over $500 of stuff stolen from it-Cockroaches dive-bombing into my food as I cook it and infesting every square inch of the apartment-Hornets waging war on all patios-Ghetto residents brawling in the parking lot at all hours of the day or night-Calling the police approximately twice a month over gunshots at night from a neighboring building-No courtesy officer or security despite the office and website claiming they have one-Hidden charges in the lease, and wording that basically says they can leave you with broken appliances in your apartment for 6 months and youre not allowed to get them fixed or break your lease-Lost my medical paperwork I had to go through a hassle to get because its a filing requirement just so they would replace my AC unit-Tried to evict us for having a full-size washer and dryer in our unit despite the lease not saying anywhere that its not allowed (yeah, we won that battle)-Everyone in the office is grumpy, new property manager Lindsey hides in the back so she never has to help anyone, and office staff acts like its a burden to have to fetch your packages when they are the ones who require the carriers to leave them there-Expensive renters insurance forced on you-Overpriced rent for poor infrastructure, broken appliances and apartments that havent been remodeled since the 1980s-Didnt even feel safe walking my dog during broad daylight due to crime and trashy characters loitering around-Frequently cut off water several days a week with no warning or indication of when it will be back-People here are so petty and ghetto they will literally steal anything, like shoes and fishing poles.-Frequent construction outside your bedroom window, including chainsaws blaring, at 8:30 in the freakin morning-Require that you pay rent online through their stupid dysfunctional app that charges you fees for doing so-Maintenance never comes to fix anything because there is such high turnover because the people who work here are jerks and the property has gone to hell. We were once without AC for an entire weekend in the summer and a shower for five days. Several burners on the stove never worked since we got there, and our dishwasher might as well be removed because all it does is slosh dirty stinky water around.I could go on forever with all the problems of this place. I have never been so glad to leave an apartment complex in my life! People are flocking out of here by the dozens. By the time we left we were one of the only people in our entire building still there. Take this warning and avoid at all costs!

The buildings are very old. Whatever kind of remodling they have done is only aesthetically. One water heater per building (14 different apartments) so there will never be hott water during a shower or doing the dishes. Maintenance request must be written and sent to office, but they usually take about a week before they respond(unless youre nagging them). Everyone is so close together. If you get an apartment here, there is a very good chance you will have little(if any) natural light inside. I lived here for about 3 years while going to school and they would raise my rent every year until it was too ridiculous a price to pay for such a small spot. Youve been warned.

WORST PLACE TO LIVE! Do not respond to work orders promptly. They fix everything at bare minimum if you can even consider what they do fixing anything. Reported problems multiple times AND even had the office sign a work order I had to create TWICE and still nothing fixed. ANTS! yet we pay a monthly fee for pest control that does not help what so ever. HORRIBLE! Would not fix issues but would not let us out of the lease and then keep my security deposit?!?!?! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!

Cockroach infested, I sprayed and sprayed MYSELF because they wouldnt and I still found cockroaches every single day, then when you request anything to be done its NEVER done, the apartments themselves are disgusting, old old smelly carpet, mildew smell. The apartment above me caught on fire, and my apartment filled with smoke and none of my smoke alarms worked. Then when I finally moved out the lady at the front told me that they didnt have time to do a walk threw with me so they would do it later and let me know if everything was good, never did. And then charged me 1300 to bill collectors because they didnt do the walk threw with me. I guess it was my fault for trusting what she told me. What ever you do dont live here. They are just greedy lazy people.

Place is decent. Some of the people that live here are rough. But i guess, thats the way it goes

These apartments are over priced for the quality. My boyfriend lived here and they would make up any excuse to take more money from him. The door knob was basically falling a part (no sense of security here). Also, a couple of the office management are uncaring and rude. This place needs a lot of renovation, starting with the apartment and ending with their employees. If there was an option for negative stars Id def rate at that.

Headstone or heartlessI think here is not only heartston but also but also hearless.Because there is 4 month we tell a lot of cockroaches one day i saw it in my food. one day went my ear that sent me hospital. one day went in hair of my son.we reported in stead transfer me to another apt they sent pesd control and they every Wednesday put poison and again this problem go on.they are heartless just money is important not health of children people and insisted you must stay here until ending your contract.I want to complaint them for getting my deposit.

Reported problems multiple times AND even had the office sign a work order I had to create TWICE and still nothing fixed. ANTS! yet we pay a monthly fee for pest control that does not help what so ever. HORRIBLE! Not even the maintenance mans fault. It is all the office. They are VERY rude. Pretend they are taking notes and going to fix stuff just to throw away what you told them as soon as you leave. Would not fix issues but would not let us out of the lease and then keep my security deposit?!?!?! DO NOT MOVE HERE!! Talk to people you see walking around outside and ask their opinion.

For all u cockroach and stray cat lovers this complex is definitely for u! All the stray cats u want are around building 6. Well u get what u pay for right? Both managers are fake so be careful when u bring a concern or complaint to their attention. Theyll hear u out go through the motions and pretend to care but weeks later youll find out nothing has been done about ur complaint I found out the hard way lol. Now they do have 1 hard worker thats manager quality in my opinion that goes by the name Gizel I think thats how u spell it. Poor lady is always by herself when I walk into the office. Both managers are either off or hiding in the back office lol they are a big joke I tell u. Surprisingly that Gizel lady actually gives a damn about ur complaints and does something about it. I hope her hard work pays off soon one day and she gets promoted..

I have to admit this place is comfortable. I took someone lease over for two months, it close to work and clean. Recently I had a issue wit my a/c, Kim was able to get someone out here ASAP. I was surprise that when I got home all was good with the a/c. I would re-new my lease; however, this place it a little to small for me and Im in the process of closing at the end of the month on a home.Ive read some comments about the staff not being helpful. Just like us they are busy but if you ask nicely and be patient, they can resolve your problem. .Jrios*** update****Closing is being delayed, worried that I would not have a place to live between the end of July and expected closing on the 14th of August....I discuss my issue with Kim in management, she was awesome on making arrangements with me. Thx again!

This place was great until they got new management it has been nothing but problems there app is stupid and double charges you and when you put in a work order the half butt fix it.

They havent fix the hot issues that Im still waiting to fix and its been months they havent done anything.

New manager is great.

Dont rent here,they will take your application fees and will tell you you are not approved even if you make 3000$ a month and you dont have any broken leases and have a good rental history ...they will tell you you have to pay extra deposit to let you in,, 500$ for studio

There is no good customer service, bad service, very insecure and nobody does anything.
