I couldnt speak more highly of the staff and property here Were a family of four and my wife and I looked extensively in the San Antonio / Texas Hill Country area and the moment we found Villas, we knew we had something special on our hands. The property is owned by a cooperative, instead of being managed by the typical profit-seeking property management company, and the difference that makes is felt on all levels. Rent is very competitive, the apartments are at least a few notches beyond the average for properties at the same price point, and the fees are much more reasonable than at any other property we compared with.

The apartments are nice but the appliances are so old! I can’t use my dishwasher and it doesn’t matter what they do! They never get clean. It’s just hard water. They need to upgrade flooring and appliances but I stay because it’s quiet and I feel safe. I just wish the gates didn’t break all the time. The office people are nice but there needs to be more parking somehow, another dumpster and upgraded amenities.

Under the old management, we had the opportunity to qualify for $500 off our next months rent if we paid before or by the 1st day of the month. I wish the new management team would do something similar. Also, the response to maintenance requests were handled much more quickly. I placed a request over the weekend, for 5 minor items, and its been a week and not even 1 has been done yet. As a courtesy, the office manager should at least call or email us when the requests should be completed by.I do love the apartment and the quiet neighborhood!!

Had to request service 3 times when it was evident that the AC unit in the apartment was not working. After that last time when I went to the office, I told the office that i would be gone for the week and need to have a cooled apartment when i returned! I was told that the part for the AC was on backorder and that a portable AC window unit would be placed in my apartment window. I designated which window (near a plug) and had my neighbors removed storage boxes and other items to leave the workers a clear area to install the temporary AC window unit. This was done the day I returned from a weeklong out of town trip. The temporary AC install was done on the morning of my return. I feel like i was the one who was staying on top of my needs with little to no feedback from the office about what was going to be done. until I approached the office in person the last time. The part has not been replaces, so the repair has not been completed. I realize that with extreme heat, the units have been stressed, It is the lack of communication that needs to be improved without the renter asking for updates . . .

Worst place I’ve ever lived in. The upstairs neighbor recklessly and negligently started a fire, I was not home and my apartment suffered severe damage the complex refuses to fix. They deemed this liveable, and refused to fix the repairs or provide any other assistance other than leave a fan on. The property manager dodges my calls, and said “it wasn’t that much water”. The apartments are fine if you like spending over 1 thousand dollars for a sub par place to live. DO NOT rent here !! There’s never any parking, and if you have any issues good luck, because the office &management are very unprofessional!

Omg I just got added to my brothers lease here and I ABSOLUTELY fell in love with Mikey in the front office! Super sweet and courteous, he made sure all my questions were answered and concerns put to rest. He took my already stressful move and made it ten times better, Thank you so much for all that you are! If you havent checked it out definitely do so and ask for him, hell take care of you!

I have been living here for over a yearand a half now. The previous management was great. If I had any issues Heather was very responsive and took care of all my issues. Now, with this new management, Im very dissapointed. Ive had issues and brought them up with Candace. Ive sent emails and I got one maybe two e-mails back from her. Nothing has been resolved of course. The whole complex needs updating and preventative maintenance would be nice once in a while. Oh, and make sure you get renters insurance. The $11 that they charge you into your rent payment does NOT cover any damages on your personal things. Just the building is covered people. So get additional renters insurance for your personal things. They dont tell you this but I learned from a friend who previously lived here. Save your money and time. Dont rent here.

Strike One: We had movers scheduled to get us into our apartment a little bit after we were told we were allowed to get our keys. Called this complex to see if our apartment was ready. They hadn’t even finished installing our carpet. The carpet installers were still working when we arrived and the apartment had been vacant several weeks.Strike Two: Our A/C unit went out. We are on a top floor apartment in Texas heat. We spent two and a half days in a 95 degree apartment trying to call the office to have maintenance come and fix it. We were there literally there when the office opened to tell them we were literally dying and it was 4 hours before we’d be told “they’re on their way now” and still wait 30 minutes for help.Strike Three: This complex has nowhere near enough parking for its residents much less any visitors. And don’t let your friends stay over for a get together too late because their car will be towed before midnight with no warning, no signage, no number to call, your friends will be left thinking someone stole their car because there is literally nothing posted!Sure, this complex is a bit more affordable than many other complexes and also a bit older. But the office doesn’t really care about the residents enough to even respond to a maintenance request or even something like an inquiry about one of the different apartment styles. The parking is terrible. You would be better off at almost any other complex. I hope they don’t treat other residents like this because this has been disgraceful.

The Club at Stone Oak is probably the best apartment complex I have lived in so far in the Stone Oak area. Edit: When I moved in, the apartment had not been cleaned (all countertops, kitchen and bathroom floors, toilet, bath tub, and more. The carpets seemed okay). The air conditioner was not working, nor was the ceiling fan. This is all at the beginning of my lease..An email request for the apartment to be cleaned prior to the finish of my move-in went unanswered.

I loved these apartments, it’s such a great location and the staff are very helpful. The staff is professional, accessible and friendly. All maintenance issues get resolved either that day or the next. They offer great rates and the apartments are kept up very well and super spacious. One of the property managers (Roger) is especially great! 5/5 stars for sure! These apartments are great for first time apt renters or new to the SA area!

Loved living here!UPDATE: Since I realized I barely wrote a review. My mom, sister, and I lived in these apartments from 2011-2017. While we had some issues at first (due to the previous ineffective/problematic management companies), the last two-three years were amazing. The (still current) management team (started in 2014 or 2015 I believe) were incredibly responsive, communicative, and just overall great. We appreciate everything they helped us out with through the years and are grateful that we never had a complaint go unsolved. We only moved because we figured it was time for a change of scenery. But honestly, I would greatly recommend these apartments. And when its time to out of my moms, Club at Stone Oak will be my first (and only) stop.SECOND UPDATE: Mom moved back in May 2020 and absolutely loves it! Just renewed her lease last month :)

We have been living at The Club at Stone Oak for two years now and it has been a great experience due to several things. The first is the Management and staff. We have lived in several apartments throughout the years and this is hands down the most amazing and helpful staff I have ever seen. Raquel who has recently become the new property manager has become a amazing asset to the property. She is very kind and her door is always open and welcomes her residents no matter what they may request and she always makes time to hear you voice your concerns. She along with the help of her staff organizes and puts together great club house parties that help bring the community closer together! Roger is a great apartment staff as well. He is extremely diligent and has gone out of his way several times to help us here with our needs. Hes great at making sure the complex is clean and well kept and any issues you bring to him he does his absolute best to address and support his residents. Kirby has been a absolute example to what a apartment staff should be. Shes always in a great mood with her residents and she is always there to hear your concerns and handles any apartment issues quickly. Several times she has gone above and beyond to help us when weve needed things done around the apartment or just little things that make all the difference like helping me carry a package to my car while I was holding my baby. Put all three of these people together and they make a amazing team and they are the reason we will continue to live here. Maintenance is the best weve ever had in a complex as well. The guys work very hard and resolved issues very quickly especially when it comes to anything ac related. The grounds are clean due to them picking up trash every morning and we have rarely had any maintenance issue since weve moved in. Our apartments are very spacious and clean and the valet trash is a great addition to the complex. Overall this place has been wonderful thanks to the amazing staff and we will be here for years to come. Thanks Raquel, Kirby and Roger for making the club at stone oak a great place to live!

The complex is old but has been maintained quite well. It’s a good place to live except for the office staff. The manager, Raquel-Ramon, cannot manage and has no concept of resident relations. She is instrumental in the deterioration of the staff’s attitude and responsiveness to resident needs.Basic items like lights within the complex and in the buildings is a constant struggle. I have spoken to other residents who have the same issue with management. Lights are out for weeks at a time which is not only a safety hazard but also a security one.As much as the property owners are doing to give the place a facelift and upgrade everything, their efforts are for naught as long as the “mis-management” remains the same. The Assistant Manager is probably the only one who cares enough to get things done.

I am a current resident here. Like the place but parking is a big problem. I hardly ever get a parking spot after 7 pm. It has been painful to park far away at nights and walk back to the apartment. It is even painful if you carry lot of groceries in your hand. They started issuing the parking permits but still the problem continue to exist. Not sure if the enforcement of the parking sticker is working :-(

The apartments themselves are not awful, however, the people that work in the leasing office do not seem to communicate with each other. I am a very responsible person that always pays rent on time, yet was constantly told incorrect amounts to pay. This happened when I first moved in and was told I had been paying more than I should be, so I began paying the amount I was told it should be, only to later be told that the original amount I was paying was the right amount, therefore I then owed money. I was also told the wrong amount for water/trash charges several times, and would later be told I still owed money even though I paid exactly what I was told the amount due was, before it was even due. When my lease ended, and I switched to month to month, I received a letter stating the new month to month amount would be $60 more than I had been paying with the lease, and the letter specifically stated the new amount would be $980 per month. I even later verified the month to month amount with the leasing office and was told it was correct, so I submitted the payment, only to later be told It was the wrong amount and I still owed another $40. I was constantly worrying about whether these errors in communication would negatively impact my credit or result in an eviction even though it was not my fault at all. I’d always pay the amount I was told to pay, days or even a week or more before it was even due. This place caused me far too much stress.

Do not move in!! The people in the office are unorganized and rude. When you turn in work orders they will jot down the wrong apt. # or they simply wont turn it into maintenance... always something. They also close down about an hour and a half for lunch everyday.

DO NOT MOVE INTO THESE APARTMENTS. The complex is completely ridiculous. For starters, the leasing agents are completely rude. Any time you go into the office to discuss a situation, this rude young man named Roger, will respond sarcastically to your concerns and treats you as if every question is stupid. I have never felt so unwelcome, walking into a welcome center. As for the Manager Korinda, she is extremely strict when it comes to rent. There is NO leniency, NO communication(other than the surprising eviction letters for first time late charges, and NO experience. The office is completely young and immature. I have paid my rent on-time every month since signing my lease last February. Recently I switched bank accounts and when rent was due on New Years day (the 1st), my online renters account had not been updated to my new bank account. I went in the following day and switched my Bank account and I was charged with a late fee of $100, for being about 10 minutes late. I agreed to pay the late fines and did so at the time. Today I have a letter in my doorway telling me I need to pay about $1500 total with late fees, late chargers, declined bank account, etc. Here`s the kicker; I checked my online account balance and it says $0.00. I thought little of the situation, and was content my balance was paid (including late fees). It is now January 14th and I am just now finding out that my bank account declined the transaction. Thanks for the communication Club At Stone Oak !!! awesome job keeping the community happy, with dog poop up every staircase, an awesome staff team, and a welcoming environment ! you rock guys !!!Sincerely APT #1303

A few minor issues with my make ready but Kirby handled eveything promptly and professionally.... Thank you Kirby! Nice quiet place. I would recommended moving here.Update 8/25/2019 I vacated Club at Stone Oak April 30, 2019 because of the horrible noise from the paper thin walls drug deals in the parking lot and the ineffective management that can not even enforce noise ordinances. Now I get a bill for $566 dollars from a collection agency. I was never given an itemized invoice of damages which is a violation of texas tenant laws and I filmed with a timestamp my vacant unit during the walk thru with Roger.
