I haven’t moved in yet (move in date is in October, 2021), but I felt the need to give this place 4 stars just for the customer service alone. 😊 I was emailing back and forth with Lisa for weeks and she was so kind, patient, and understanding. I bombarded her with questions and information about my situation and she still treated me kindly and worked with me to get me into an apartment. I was apartment hunting for months and this place was the only place willing to hear me out and work with me. It’s also very affordable and a beautiful complex. I can’t wait to move in. Hopefully everything goes well after I move in, so I can come back and give this place 5 stars instead of 4.

It was fine.This review was written before the whole scandal of them making people leave the apartments after the freeze in February. We fortunately had moved out prior and were not effected by the freeze. Take this review as you will, knowing those facts.Polo club Apartments was on their game when we first viewed the complex. Robert was able to answer all our questions and was very polite. getting in contact with anyone was fairly easy. They just updated their website, too, which was WELL needed.- this complex was one of the more affordable ones for all the different options of room/square footage goes. Deposit and pet fees weren’t outrageous. The payment portal was easy and convenient to use. They are very much willing to work with you if you are in a bind or are from out of state (like we were). You are able to see an itemized list of what you’re paying for each bill period. One downside was that water is split up by building, not by separate unit. So if you use one gallon of water while your neighbors used 300, you’re splitting the bill down the middle regardless. So the less people in your building, the more you pay for water. We did notice a slight increase as we saw people moving out, but it wasn’t drastic. Just a minor inconvenience.- Great for Groceries and food, HEB is less than a 5 minute drive and a plethora of fast food around. Great taco trucks nearby. Lots to do around that area, and right next to the 410 highway exit/entrance. Potranco is nearby and that road also has a lot to do around there. It’s kind of a bad part of town unfortunately. I’ve been told that Marbach is referred to as Murder-bach. The complex itself is just fine, during the day everything is fine. I would say, walk around at night at your own risk.- The complex had one security guard when we first got there, but 2 once we left. They were out at all hours of the day and night, which was nice. The gates are almost pointless, I’d say they broke down every other month and needed to be fixed. Keep everything out of your cars. People are known to wander around on bikes looking for opportunities to steal. Our cars got broken into the first week we were there, and a few times after that.- Cant speak much for these since we never used them. They have a pool, pool house (I think) and laundry facilities.Pests - If you’re a native, then you’re aware that cockroaches are a thing down here. If you’re not a native, just know that cockroaches will just become a way of life. There’s almost nothing you can do about them especially when you live in a building with multiple households, and where previous tenants may have not been clean. I’d say try to keep your apartment as clean as you can, and let Polo know if any of your neighbors aren’t keeping clean. The complex was quick to act if we needed an exterminator to come out and spray, no hassle there. Unfortunately a lot of people do not care about the surrounding area and will leave trash and drink cups lying around, increasing the roach problem. Unfortunately people are cruel and have left cats to roam around the complex. There’s a few that are friendly, but the others just run away when you get too close. They poop everywhere. If you have a floor level unit and don’t like cats, I’d be sure to not keep anything on your patio as they may sleep on it or under it. You will be able to hear them yelling at night, and they tend to hang out around the garbage.- Dumpsters tend to over flow, but that seems to be a reoccurring problem at every complex. There were 2-3 pickup days a week, so the complex was not neglecting them, there’s just a lot of people. Workers do their best to clean the complex. The neighbors in my building would always leave trash outside of their units. A lot of it leaked on the steps and surrounding cement. There was recycling at one point, but the complex took that away because people can’t recycle properly.- A few residence let their dogs roam free because they don’t care. MANY people also don’t pick up after their dogs. The back dog park are covered in poop.

Weve lived here for a little over 2 years and plan to stick around for a while. I think our rent is priced pretty well. The handful of times weve requested maintenance it was for simple fixes that were taken care of quickly. Office staff has always been polite and responded quickly to any questions weve had. Security currently patrols at night.

I have been living here around 5 years in multiple buildings And multiple floor Plans To be quite honest I grew up in this area all my life You could do a lot worse than living here I believe for the area that we are in They are by far the best option regardless of price The management is wonderful and maintenance is great.

The managers and agents here are really great and very helpful! I was given a tour by Lisa and she was very friendly and professional and patient with all the questions I had to ask. If you are looking for an apartment this is the perfect place to go to! Also ask for Lisa she is the best!!!

Probably one of the worst places in San Antonio to live. The apartments are overpriced for what you get. Maintenance is not responsive in dealing with power outages, water damage, air filter replacements, etc. Once even calling me back to see if I could fix the issue myself. The main gate stays broken about 30% of the time. The security patrol made it very clear theyre there to protect the apartment property and not the residents, so dont call them to report suspicious activity, their job is to bust people for feeding stray cats. We went about 3 hours with all of the fire alarms going off due to a busted water pipe. Since NOBODY showed up to work at the main office, we had to wait for the fire department to get here. Do not move here. Do not give these people your money.

The community is so nice & had Exactly what we were looking for! The staff Is really helpful & you can tell they really care about their residence. There should be a zero star option. This is by far the worst apartments I’ve lived in. ZERO Response when it comes to important things. I’ve had a water spot growing across my ceiling for 3 years. I’ve put in multiple tickets and they say theyll bring out roof guys and I’ve never seen anyone come. No answer when emergencies happen. Like today, fire alarm is going off in my building. Everyone has called the office multiple times with no response. We have had to tape the fire alarms so babies can sleep and people who have mental health problems don’t get triggered. They are unprofessional and the staff is rude. The only nice person was who helped me and my fiancé sign our Lease. Manny is super nice but the rest absolutely suck.

I have lived here for a year now so heres my review of the property, management, and the apartment itself. The beginning for the apartment was rocky, I had to call maintenance for the shower, the AC and dishwasher. They came quick though. Everything got done within a week. After that, everythings been great and I havent had anymore problems inside my apartment. Management has always been super awesome and helpful. I have got to talk to all of them at least once. Robert is the one that helped me with my lease and anything else Ive ever needed help with so hes the coolest one in my book. As for the property, they do well to empty out the trash and recycling before it gets out of the dumpster. Sometimes it does overflow but they cant control how much people throw out. As for around, Ive walked around a few times and there is some very light trash sometimes but nothing to make you think you are living is a dump. As for the amenities, the pool is always clean from what Ive seen. I personally havent used it. The gym however I have used. Its a little small so there isnt too much and some of the equipment is a little wonky but its there. If thats a big thing for you well there ya go. As for the people that live here, everyone I have interacted with was very kind. I even had a package sent to the wrong door and they returned it to me unopened. I did have some downstairs neighbors that would just send random complaints to me like dog poop on the patio (which I dont own a dog and Im on the third floor) but they moved out so its all good again. Overall, great place and great people for a great price. I do recommend that if you have joint problems to live on the first floor as there are no elevators. Hope my review helps.Edit: For an update after the snowstorm on how they handled it, they handled it well. They sent emails and texts constantly instructing what to do to get the best out of the situation and informed us of resources around us with contact info. They also have been working hard to fix everything that the storm may have broke. They do inform you about 3-4 days in advance before doing repairs. Overall, they handled it very professionally and am still very happy living here.

For being the 1st apartments Ive been in its a great place. I love that maintenance is very timely. The complex is very clean. My husband and i see ourselves renewing our lease here.

The staff are always friendly and respond quickly when needed. The landscape is always maintained and looks beautiful. All the tenants Ive met are nice and friendly. I love the location.

I have lived here for a little over 2 years and I cannot say I have had any issues with the apartment or management. They respond promptly to maintenance issues and the price is good for what you get.

It’s a nice place to stay they fix things when you put in a request and they let you know when they are coming if you want and they leave a note if you not there letting you know they fixed the issue. The apartment is big enough and has plenty of closet & cabinet space. Overall I liked staying there but didn’t like being on a 3rd floor apartment & having to walk up all those stairs with bags or furniture moving out was crazy hard work. But there was a cabinet bug problem I had to keep my flour products in the fridge never could figure out how to get rid of them. No more issues since I moved.

I have lived here over a year. Despite the craziness of the freeze they have been very helpful and responsive.

It is very well kept by a dedicated staff of maintenance personnel! The front office personnel are quick and efficient! I placed a maint request and it was handled promptly! Mechanical issues with the gates are fixed promptly. The fact that they have an active courtesy officer is a plus ! The pool area is beautiful and well kept !

This place is terrible. Not only do they barge into your apt without notice. They also robbed the apt! The management or maintenance. After being in the hospital a few days came back to things missing and a coffee cup left behind from the front office... There was also a lot of gunshots and police were often there... I would say every weekend. These apt are the worst. Do not rent here.

I have called and complained about my upstairs neighbor many times. Ive called security many times as I was instructed to do. I was told 6 complaints was all it would take. I am sure I am past 20 now. Still no change. Upstairs neighbor has 3 couples and several kids living there. Well beyond capacity. They are day sleepers which means noise happens past 10 PM. I do not recommend this place. Noise complaints do not get handled. Does not matter how many times you call security. If the office doesnt send them an actual notice then your complaint does not count. Good luck.

Great apts, and even better staff

My mother was staying at my apartment while i was out of town and her truck got stolen out of the apartment complex. The apartments have no cameras, apparently they also have 2 security groups that work nights that cant do their job, and also gates that are wide open 24/7. Absolutely disgusted with the apartment complex and there lack of help and lack of security. If you value your property do not stay at this apartment complex because they dont care about you!

Well I lived here for 2 years, nothing wrong with the place. I enjoyed it, it was quiet for the most part. Wonderful and friendly staff. The problems I encountered were the gates always broke... which I like to contribute to being held at gun point when coming home late at one point, which mainly pushed me to leave. Bulletin sent out to the community shortly after that... giant pot hole out front at all times, the gym equipment was always broken. My neighbors couldnt live a day without smoking, and those walls were thin enough to get into my closet... laundry every day it seemed... Overall I enjoyed my stay, it felt very comfortable, appliances were still new, however I was charged for maintenance fees after leaving... so watch out.

I have lived here for a year and 7 months. I decided to move to another apartment closer to my work, but had the most traumatic experience in doing so. The new apartment was so unkempt and not in good living condition. At the last minute, I decided to move back here into Polo Club and just wait for a larger apartment. The staff was so friendly about me having to cancel my move out notice. I honestly don’t know why I even tried moving from here. They really do take very good care of their residents. They have extremely fast maintenance repair calls when needed, as well as a follow up phone call to make sure everything was indeed fixed! They have even come and just simply replaced light bulbs when I didn’t know how to change them on that particular fixture, and he even brought an AC filter to change just in case! They come and steam clean the carpet every time you renew your lease, which is so helpful when you are a single mom of all boys! They provide nice holiday incentives to encourage people to decorate their balconies, which I enjoy seeing! The pool is very well maintained as well. The people in the office are ALWAYS so polite and smiling. As far as the bad reviews, yes there can be trash at times, but that is not even their responsibility, and you will have that just about anywhere! They do a good job of requiring cleanliness outside our apartments, but ultimately it’s up to us to be good tenants as well and keep our area clean. This is no fault of management. There are times I can hear the neighbors next door, but this is an apartment complex, not a house. Some noise is to expected, and it’s not intolerable.Since returning back to Polo Club, my teenage boys have told me they are so happy to be back home, because the other one just never felt like home. I totally agree!! I highly recommend this place, and hope this review is found helpful!

Lived here a little over a year ago, complex is ghetto & trashy. Walls are super thin. They do offer discounts for preferred employers but its not worth it. The complex was on the news around Christmas of 2014 because 2 women were held at gunpoint in the parking lot, also received notices on my door advising other incidents of robbery occurred in the parking lot (still have copies). If you value your safety find somewhere else to live!

They will extort you on the way out. Charged me to replace the carpet when there was nothing wrong it. There is a little man named Robert who will seek revenge if you dont buy a house through him. We fired him as our realtor because he is lazy. He even tried to steal listing from our new realtor. Management seems to not care that a employee extorts tenants. Avoid at all costs.

Pertinent details regarding animal ownership/adoption are not in the lease and were never even hinted at when when applying for the apartment, yet you can be feed 100 dollars for breaking the rules you are never told. Now we lost the dog we cared about because of straight up incompetence from polo club management. Will be moving as soon as possible. P.S. you will have to put in a work order once a month for malfunctioning/breaking appliances. Would never recommend.

The apartments are nice, but the office staff just walked in my apartment to give me an eviction notice when my rent was paid at the first of the month. & the young little girl in the office is always rude & has a bad ass attitude. They need a better staff!!

Ive been here almost a year, and I must say, I have lived in a few apartments since 2006, and Polo Club has 5 star maintence service, they are very prompt on addressing any given situation, everytime I have needed them they have been there for me and very kind as well. I recommend this place to anyone that has had issues with maintenance in the past, I havent even really had any issues, there was a flea situation but that was because of the last tenant, they fixed that immediately, very quiet at night on the weekends, I feel very good about Polo Club. I am going to be renewing my lease, I have never called an apartment home until now.Update: Been here 5 years now and I still have the same sentiments over Polo Club Apartments, I have been very happy with the stroller service management provides, they truly have been there. My only hope is that they are able to improve the upkeep of the property, I feel this falls on the residents who don’t care or pick up after their pets, other than that, this is still a great place to live. Very safe.

Extra terrible and highway robbery management. I lived in this apartment complex number 12204 from June 2015 through Sept 2017 and everything was okay until I moved out on military orders. I gave them 48 days advance notice which was even more than the 30 days required by the Servicemembers Civil Relief act. I lived by myself and was barely home. My water and trash bills combined never went pass $20-$36. Before I moved out, I hired a professional carpet cleaning services to clean the unit thoroughly.Since I am already aware of the bad reviews on this complex I insisted to be present for the move out inspection. During the inspection, the inspector told me everything was in excellent condition and he cannot imagine someone actually lived in the unit for almost two and a half years. I took pictures and also recorded the inspection for my protection.25 days after I moved out, I received a bill in the mail.$68.46 ( trash and water )$45.00 ( ozone for spice odor)I moved out on the 28th day of the month which per their policy they will have to credit $41.80 back to me never came. I asked for explanation as to why this time around trash and water is ridiculously high and none was given.I also asked them why they okay the inspection in my presence but now charging me for something that was non-existent during the inspection and again no meaningful explanation was offered. I spoke to one of their managers called Anna and she seems to be be familiar with what Service-members civil relief act was and I am ready to school her on this topic so that she can acquire some good managerial skills.

Just like everyone else with one star, I only give it one because I cant leave zero. I have lived here for over a year now and I can promise you the only reason I stay is because they accept my dog and I cannot get a mortgage.The majority of the people you actually even see in this complex are just trash. There are no standards for cleanliness or quiet hours.List so far of what weve delt with:1. Theft. My husbands truck was stolen right from below our window. I attribute this to the trash they let live here as well at the fact the gates are ALWAYS broken and take weeks sometimes to get fixed. Also, these luxury apartments dont even have cameras at the gates. I can promise you I am not the only one with a stolen vehicle. Also there are at least 3 notices of theft at gunpoint or robbery left on my door since I moved in.2. Neighbors. I have had some of the loudest, dirtiest, and most trashy neighbors ever. If its not the cops being called LITERALLY EVERY OTHER DAY, then its the screaming, stomping up the stairs, leaving trash everywhere, selling drugs right in the parking lot, or just confrontational manner about them.3. Trash. There is trash EVERYWHERE. I mean EVERYWHERE. If its not stuck up against the fence, under your car, in the bushes, the. Its right there on the stairs by your door. Prime example: BONG was smashed at the bottom of the stairs, as if thats not trashy enough. GLASS EVERYWHERE and I have a dog who walks there often. I reported it and it was there for TWO DAYS.4. Security. The biggest joke of the word of Ive ever heard of it here. You call security after hours and multiple times they have never shown up. Also, if there even was security all the theft, gunpoint robberies, and drug deals may not even have happened.5. Office staff. Seem great. Even seen like they care when you complain. But I have recently found out they told our neighbor who we had a complaint about that we are the ones who did. That is just a recipe for hostility and disaster between residents considering the neighbors even tried to yell at us about it.So, if you took the time to read this thank you and RUN AWAY. Again, the ONLY reason I stay is because my dog looks like an aggressive breed and no one else will take her. If youre forced to stay here, the price isnt terrible but you certainly get what you pay for and then some. If you can ignore all of the above and hermit inside your apartment and never talk to anyone or go outside then inside is okay for what your paying. Otherwise, turn away, dont look back.

These have really went down hill. They are nice apartments but some of the element there has made them bad.

Dont know what to say about previous reviews. I will say the year I spent at Polo Club was great. The office staff was very responsive to any concerns, their maintenance staff was also top notch and fast to respond to any requests. As a whole Id recommend Polo Club to anyone. We communicated directly to our neighbors and established rapport which gave all of us added peace, security and friendships. I will admit that yes, their were car break ins and some theft, but the majority of responsibility rests on the owners and how well they adjust their own security to living in an apartment environment thats close by to shopping and major traffic routes. Regarding trash, yep theirs been many times I saw trash, but its the dwellers who dont use the receptacles properly. It seems a lot of times they throw items that should be brought to a landfill, and leave it to the maintenance people to pick up and correct daily. Thats not Managements, or Maintenance or Grounds keepers faults. Its the faults of some of the individuals residing there. We kept our home immaculate there, and had zero bugs of any kind (even when moving in). If your a loud family, expect to be notified. Thats straight, simple and expected. If you smoke in the apartments or burn incense, expect a ionization bill upon move out. We received our move out checklist and accomplished everything on the list which makes turnaround for staff easier. And YES, its the residence job to make sure its clean upon moveout. Regarding any damage of items, well we werent perfect but they were honest with their assessment and we have no complaints at all (some things break). So while my review is stellar, its because we as renters, were aware of OUR responsibilities, and didnt relay on anyone else to do what we were supposed to be doing in the first place. In ending, Great Management, Great Staff all around.

I live in one of the second story building and all you can see is paint from the roof falling off in the hallway and cracks in the walls from poor foundation inside. All my light bulbs went out one after another starting with the second bedroom light. its just one thing after another. would not recommend living here

Nice but its not safe for Saudi people

So I don’t write reviews very often but I am going to do this one. I love my apartment so much. BUT! I have a 6 month old daughter myself and my roommate who live in a one bedroom on the third floor. Supposedly we have had multiple noise complaints and honestly I have no idea what or where they are coming from. When I try and call to talk with the assistant manager Ana she is rude and hung up in my face twice now. Ahe said I was yelling at her when I absolutely did not. I am respectful as possible even in frustrating situations like this one. They said we have one more tie and they are evicting us but FOR WHAT!!?? Because my 6 month old daughter cries at night? They are not even willing to discuss with me in depth about the complaints..we just moved in March 12 and were already getting notices on our door because of the complaints... but anyone can call about anything they want to and they aren’t even willing to investigate to see if the complaints are TRUE because I guarantee there’s no way we make enough noise for other people to be calling unless it’s about my baby crying. I really liked these apartments but now I can’t wait to get out of here. I’m not even comfortable in my own home and the staff aren’t willing to understand my side whatsoever. So pretty much if someon e just feels like they don’t want you to live here they can call and make complaints and you’ll get kicked out. What a great apartments complex right? Sorry for the rant but it’s crazy how I’m 20 with a 6 month old and I work al lady and have to deal with this kind of stuff. It’s ridiculous.

Lived there for 6 months and thank God I moved out,my friend continued to live there for another 6 months. His car was broken into twice. All four of his tires were stolen TWICE. The management did nothing, and I guess they really cant do anything. Horrible part of town and anything can happen. DO NOT LIVE HERE IF YOU DONT HAVE TO. spend couple of hundred extra dollars and go somewhere else. Trust me its not worth saving couple hundred in the short term when you will end spending in thousands to repair your car.

Its a good apartment but God forbid you park upfront for a bit and get harrassment from a security guard.... even after you tell him you live there he proceeds to take a picture of my car all me and my bf were doing was talking watching the street.. who has Florida plates on a security company working in texas??? Isnt there a law which the company needs to put texas plates on their cars?? And having his hand on his gun while threatening to call the cops!!!!! You sir should get fired

Ive lived here for a few months now and after reading some of these reviews, i agree on some and disagree . The previous apartment I stayed at had the same issues with the broken gates and cars getting broken into. I think all apartments are the same no matter where you go. Its really affordable here and plus I get an employee discount. You can pay your rent online and never have to go inside the office. The staff is friendly. The person who helped me move in is Diane and she was informative and actually cared if it met my expectations and adores my 5 year old daughter. The parking here sucks when you do come home late after work and my building always has water in front of my door after it rains. so i end up tracking water inside my apartment. Ive called in a few times for maintenance (for garbage disposal, light bulb out, and to removed the stopper from tub) it took them 3 days to come out but at least it wasnt a week like my previous apartment. I give it a 4 star bc i dont want to walk home late at night with my daughter but everything else is great!

Its a nice place but its hard to get out because of traffic

I lived at these apartments when they first opened, I was one of the very first tendants. I loved the fact that they were brand new and that there was a secured gate. After 2 months living there we got upstairs neighbors, not even within 2 weeks of living there there was a shooting. At 2 am I heard two men arguing and then a gun shot. This is the reason I moved out and have never moved into another apartment. Please dont let the nice surroundings fool you, this place is GHETTO.

Gates are always broken

I was recently living here and moved out because i was on sexon floor and my upstairs neighbor was really really noisy.It seemed as if he was stomping so hard on purpose that it angered me so much.i complained to the office 3 times and they seemed concerned but not to much for the noise never stopped.i had to unfortunatly break my lease.i was supposed to pay on a friday and didnt.by monday i heard one knock and 2 office ladies were already opening the door wide so i ran to the door and took the key out and handed ot to her.she then rudely asked when was i paying my rent.i said im not im moving out because the noise never stopped.i dont knoe but that was shady that they knocked all low and were ready to come in really fast.i dont know if thats even legal for them to just come in lime that.

I really do enjoy my stay here, theres so many options around me as for restaurants, tire shops, Work out gyms, Parks, And overall i havent no issues being here.

I lived here for 2 years + and went to work at Lackland AFB. The apartments are a short drive from base. The rent is very affordable, the office staff was very friendly, fast, and professional although you could tell they were busy especially on rent days id say they handled it very well. I really liked my apartment for the price/location/overall.The apartment was clean, the AC worked amazing all year, it went out once but the same night i called the maintenance guy he said he could install a new one the next day but offered to hand carry a portable one up to my apartment just for the night! I told him i could wait one night lol. I never had problems with bugs in my apartment i lived on the 3rd floor. Apartments spray i think monthly and would spray again if you just asked i never had to ask though.There has been some minor crime like some tires stolen but that happens all over San Antonio apartments not just here. The place is comprised with mostly families, children, and military. I never had any problems, i dont think there are any better apartments for the price they offer in the area. I moved from SA or id still be living here, the other apartments i visited either straight up lied to me, too far from work, or were way overpriced, where i might as well have gotten a house. You wont find a better overall package in the area without making sacrifices from your wallet or your safety honestly.

We are very upset because today the office close before 4pm. And the scheduled said until 4pm . I called and they answered the phones but not body was there.

The person I know that lives here says its infested with crime and noise.

Apartments are nice all except when these gates are constantly getting broken and takes forever to get maintenance to fix them and parking is terrible especially if you work long nights and have to park all the way on the otherside of the complex and also people that dont live there park overnight you should have a separate area for guests as well as the gym equipment being broken too that no one fixes

I lived in this complex 8 years ago. Comfortable, explain and clean. Very suitable for families, there is a rented apartment to perform the prayer for Muslims. Generally close to services. Gym near the complex.
