So of course I had to come visit this place as we share the same first name. Plus, my wife wanted to check out the market and car show. I do admit that the market and car show was smaller than I expected, but I still enjoyed it. Everybody is nice and friendly.My wife and her friend wanted a certain wine, in which was only inside at the bar, so the 4 of us (wife, her friend and husband, and myself) decided to sit at the bar in the nice atmosphere. The bartender was extremely nice and very kind. She allowed us to sit at the bar and have a few drinks while everybody else was outside in the heat. When there was no place to sit outside to eat, she also allowed us to eat at a table by the bar area when we asked. Unfortunately we were not able to actually eat at the restaurant since we didnt have much time, but we did try everything else we could.My wife really enjoyed the Italian beef sandwich, I enjoyed the personal 8 pizza, and our friends also enjoyed their pizza. We also did get the bread they sold in the market and it was delicious! They offered tomato, sausage & pepper, and black olive & artichoke. I must admit that I did not try the black olive & artichoke as I do not like artichoke, but the other two breads were fantastic!The group of us that went do plan on coming back so we can actually try the restaurant when they are open and were all looking forward to it.

Came for the market on the least busy market day but the weather was amazing!We have been during the hot summer days and its just too hot sometimes. Food was delish and drinks were refreshing-it was quiet and calm, I think because of back to school. I wish this was a fall event like once a month from Sept to early November so we could buy local items for fall/Christmas while its still light enough outside to enjoy the day. Maybe even later in the day up until open so people can go inside and have a full dinner. Love all Linos has done!!!

Spectacular food and service. Great value and the best fettuccini I have ever had! The atmosphere is truly unique. Incredible place!

Linos is a traditional Italian restaurant that has delicious pasta dishes. Most pasta dishes are made with cheese and Mariana sauce. Only dessert is scoop of ice cream or sherbert. Service was good, place was incredibly busy, we made reservations so we were seated right away. No reservations there is a rather long wait pending on the time of arrival. Restaurant hours are 4:30pm to 10pm dinner service only.

This place is absolutely stunning. Thank you so much to Cindy Swan, I believe she was the manager while we were there. Also huge thanks to the crew on duty that night for everything was nothing less than perfect. What a great night to have taken my mother and wife out to dinner to this very fine restaurant.

Linos hands down is the best Italian restaurant in Rockford. Ive been eating here since I was too young to remember. The consistency is ridiculous. The food tastes the same as it did 40 years ago. Same portions, same cuts. The meatballs have changed slightly, thats about it.

Linos is the best. Its a Rockford landmark. Their family pizza takeout deal is great and their food is fantastic.

The food is Always great and more than enough...the service is fast and efficient. Social distancing and masks are required til you get to your seat. Reservations strongly suggested. Opens at 4:30p.

Staff was very pleasant. Food was fine but nothing out of the ordinary. Thought the sauce on the chicken parmesan lacked flavor. But maybe thats just me! Next time Im in the area Ill try it again

Linos is by far the best Italian restaurant I have ever visited. The fact that this is a family owned business as well makes it a place that needs to be supported. I am not from this area, but I make sure that I visit Linos at least twice when I am in town. The lasagna and tortellini are the best that I have had, and the pizza is also out of this world. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Italian food or if you need an event catered.

This is the first restaurant I visited since weve been allowed back in restaurants. Linos does not disappoint, we ordered a pizza and it was quite good. The toppings went from edge to edge so we did not get any of the dreaded crust only pieces. Our server, Lisa, was very friendly and engaging. I will definitely be back!

Our server was awesome! Something I noticed was she spoke in full sentences, so many wait-staff say sure, yep, okay etc. It was nice to hear proper speech from our waitress. Food was amazing! Has been a long time since we have eaten here, will be back sooner next time!

During the pandemic, as senior citizens, we have hesitated to eat indoors at a restaurant. Lino’s has set an example of how to handle curbside pickup with great efficiency. Not to mention, their food is always great—especially their lasagna and pizza. Can’t wait until it’s safe to eat inside and enjoy the wonderful ambiance and friendly servers.

Linos treats its customers so well. They have very high standards. When our drinks were a little late today, the management came out to our table to apologize. In my opinion, Linos has the highest customer service standards or any restaurant in Rockford.

Absolutely amazing. Everything is good on the menu. Except the ground sirloin. I wish they would remove it from the menu. Try the pizza special. 1 topping pizza, special salad for 2 and a 2 liter of pop for under 20$ Family owned and operated!

Been a Linos customer for 25 years and the food is awesome, they have never lost a touch, has given the same excellent service and staff has always been friendly and professional. Whenever I have had any issues (very rarely) they have always made it right. I have to say in my opinion it is the best pizza in Rockford and will continue to be a customer. If you are a local or someone visiting the Rockford area give Linos a try you won’t be disappointed!

I live in Arizona but lived in Rockford years ago. I ALWAYS make it a point to come to Linos for pizza when I am in Illinois. Tonight, we went and there was a minor error on our pizza, green peppers instead of green olives. It was not a big deal, they remade the pizza. Done deal . . . No, they compensated us by giving us THE WHOLE meal, drinks and all for free. I HAVE NEVER HAD A RESTAURANT BE SO GENEROUS, OR KIND OVER ANY ERROR, LET ALONG A MINOR ONE THAT WAS FIXED. What a sweet gesture. Their food and service is Always good, but this, was really over the top nice. Thank you

Been eating here for 30 years. Their food is top notch. I’ve never found a lasagna I like near much as theirs. Pizza is so flavorful, you can tell they use very high quality ingredients. Customer service is always great. I ordered carry out last week and they told me 20 minutes, food took 30 minutes. When they brought out the food it was the chef carrying it and he apologized and they voided my entire meal payment. All around great restaurant!

We were traveling through and stumbled on this place. It was amazing. Food and service was excellent. I could been rolled out I ate so much but it was amazing.

We were a group of 16, with the former owners of the Branding Iron in Rockford, IL, Big Jack told us that Linos got into the restaurant business at the same time as he did many years ago. Their family still frequents this fine family owned Italian restaurant and they were very excited to have some Michiganders join them for a Must Do - Any Meal. All being said, our stomachs agreed all the way to the Spumoni!!

Prices are good, service was excellent and as always food is very good. Wait person said she has worked at Linos for 30 years that tells you something.

This was our first trip to Linos. We were very impressed. We ordered curbside pickup and were amazed at how quickly they got people through. It was a well oiled machine, great job! The food was very hot and just what we wanted for some Italian faire. The fresh baked bread was delicious. Only disappointment was that they were out of the lasagna. Guess we will just need to order there again!

Very busy on an early Saturday evening, and I can see why. Great food! You get a lot for your money. Most entrees include a large house salad, bread, dessert, and coffee (although we werent offered any). Took a little while for the waitress to take our drink order, but nearly every table was full. I would definitely come back!

We went to Linos to celebrate my step father’s 80th birthday. We had a wonderful waitress, Hannah, she was very pleasant and efficient. My mom has an egg allergy and the Joe the chef came out to discuss what she could eat. He also made sure that her food didn’t come in contact with other food that could have contained egg. We had an e gift card to use and it wasn’t working. Hannah and Joe spent a good 30 minutes figuring it out. We love Linos and would encourage everyone to try it. Amazing food and amazing service.

I forgot what a treat it is to go to Linos. We dropped in for late dinner as a large group. The atmosphere was great, the staff were quick and personable while not being in-your-face or pesty. Food was delicious. The half lasagna came out lukewarm, and was replaced in a timely manner, while the half fettuccine Alfredo was right on. As Alfredo sauce goes, it was superior to that local olive place everyone knows..

Enjoyed our 50th anniversary party in one of their lovely well-appointed banquet rooms do you hors doeuvres, the food, the bar, the waitress staff, there is nothing negative to say it was well appointed well-run and delicious and more than reasonable. Have been going there for probably 30 years in each time I go my wife and I never have to worry. They are tops

If youre rating this place highly you need to get out of that area to eat more.I would have happily left this place and driven the hour and thirty minutes to literally any other Italian restaurant in three Elgin area.The server was awkward and blank faced like she was day dreaming. We ordered dinners and when we asked for the desserts and coffee that come with it she was surprised that we would want it.The salad was sad looking, poor quality pastas is a shame in an Italian restaurant, sauce was ok, the portions were very small. Prices were reasonable, I suppose that was the only enjoyable thing that I didnt pay an arm and a leg for the poor service and meal.

What Happened!!! We come to see my parents, in Rockford, every year and its a tradition to eat a Linos on Friday night (for the special). We returned after two years away and it was devastating. The fried cod was overdone, the tomato sauce was watery and bland and the fabulous special salad was missing ingredients and flavor. The topper to our evening, was trying to get out of the parking lot with scores of cars waiting in line for pick-ups. Took us 20 min to get out. Im devastated and disappointed

The food is always fabulous here. Destiny, is an amazing bartender/server. They do one heck of a take out business too and have it under control. I did learn a lesson. Paid cash, told her to keep change. She came back with JUST change. The bill was 48 and change. I gave her 60. Someone else rang it out. Ill never assume again. Ill count my change to make sure its all good. Had I left, destiny wouldnt have gotten that tip. Honest mistake on cashiers fault.

My wife and I both feel that the fish fries are the very best in all of Rockford. The service is very efficient and the food is always outstanding. The Italian salad is delicious in the spumoni dessert is to die for. Highly recommended. Their prices have gone up since coming out of the covid lockdown.

They say the pizza is the best so I finally tried it. I usually get there Lasagna and that is the best. The pizza to me was just average. Was a little soggy in the middle. Lots of cheese though but I did not like the sausage one bit.always quick service and friendly staff. My taste buds just love the lasagne

Very nice, expensive restaurant. Waiters were very kind and the restaurant is very fancy. There was a Gelato stand out back, very excited when they will be added to the menu.

We had an amazing dinning expirence tonight ! Laurie took great care of us. Due to a big group ahead of us dinner was slightly slower then normal. We didnt even notice and the manager/owner came and personally apologized and bought a round of drinks. It was a very unexpected but much appreciated. We travel about 40 minutes and we will be coming back again for sure ♡

Had been good the first couple times I ordered. Then ordered when they were in the middle of a rush. My pizza came kinda burned with only 4 really edible slices in the middle.16$ for that was not cool. Called back and they were nice and remade the pizza. Included pictures of the first and second pizza, so you can judge for yourself. Otherwise I think just avoid ordered when theyre busy and youll be fine.

I am usually not critical and this place came highly recommended. No better than olive garden. Food wasnt hot. They brought the wrong entree out to me. Salad plates were warm when they should be ice cold. I think this place is living on its legacy. They took my soda off the bill for mistake. Owner came out and apologized. Not impressed.

We absolutely love the linos pizza special with the salad. I recently ordered 8 of them for a party. It appears the price has went up $2 in the last few months, which is expected and I will definitely be a long time customer because it is the best pizza around! I also am loving the curbside system that is in place and hope it sticks around because it was always unpleasantly packed inside(which speaks volumes for the delicious food). It did take a while to get my order despite ordering early and arriving before opening, but it was a large order. One thing that I would say needs improvement is not allowing 1 employee to carry 8 pizzas all stacked on top of each other leaning toward the person to counter the weight. My pizzas had slid for sure. They also wanted to leave the 8 pizzas stacked as is in my van. I had to get out and ensure that I moved them to smaller stacks. They really shouldnt have brought them out like that and expected to leave them there. In the past, when orsering large amounts of pizzas, I was told by an employee to stack them 3 maybe 4 high while carrying them out. So I definitely found this odd and did worry that the pizzas slid in which they did. Regardless the pizzas were still tasty, salad was amazing. I just wanted to provide some constructive criticism for future references. Always great food and If I could give 10 stars out of 5 I would!

Food was absolutely amazing! Its amazing every time I go. I had a reservation for 6:30pm however it was 7 by the time we were seated. I ordered fettuccine alfredo. The menu lists options to add to the dish such as chicken and broccoli. The additional cost of tho extras is crossed out yet I was charged $3.25 for them. The menus should probably be fixed to reflect the actual cost of additions to the dishes.

Havent ever had a problem arise here with food or service.I like how during the pandemic how they met challenges and solved them.So really the same as before the pandemic find what works and implement it wisely. We held our wedding reception at Linos and we were impressed with the professionalism, attention and magnificent service our guest received through the length our our party. Kelly is wonder woman, I talked to her about my vision and she made sure every detail was taking care off and made our day even more special. Food was just delicious and their sense of urgency was amazing. A+++ in customer service. Today a wedding, next time a baby shower LOL. Thank you Linos!!!

Didnt dine in, but the curbside service is done very well. Linos has always been very busy with carry out but the way they have curbside set up is spectacular. Well done.

We are carry out only customers because we find the indoor environment is too noisy for good table conversation. However, the management and service is excellent we know through booking private rooms. The food is very good and portions are large.

Great restaurant. The setting was very soothing. The staff was very attentive. Food came out quick for how busy it was. I ordered the Fettucine Al Alfredo. I would have liked a little more shrimp but the pasta was still delicious. I also got the Spicy Paloma Cocktail. I didnt enjoy it that much. It had a very distinct flavor that just wasnt for me. My husband ordered a cheese pizza and it was one of the best pizzas Ive had in a while. Looking forward to coming back and getting a cheese pizza with a glass of roscato.

Linos has been our go to place for over 10 years now! We just celebrated Valentines Day early there and had the special $55.00 of New York Strip steak and Shrimp Deshonge. It comes with special salad for 2, homemade Italian bread, butter, 2 glasses of champagne, your side with your entree, dessert and coffee. Amazing as always! Also such a great ambiance and Italian music playing in the backround. We asked for a house, which is a private room at no extra cost to have an intimate dinner. We love this place and will always keep coming back for years to come!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
