We celebrated our wedding anniversary here. The hostess could not find us a booth. Owner / Manager Benny came to our table immediately after being seated, and moved us to an excellent booth. We enjoyed the meal very much. From the appetizer (Lamb Lollipops) to the Desert (Tiramisu) everything was very good. The service was excellent. I would drive from Chicago to have a meal here.

Was highly recommended by a friend and well deserved. Superior customer service right off the bat. Had dinner in The Wine Room. A Charming, private little eating spot right near the wine cellar! Food was excellent. Lots of great options. Scallops were fantastic; Delmonico steak - fantastic; Death by Chocolate cake - fantastic; lobster bisque - fantastic. Waiters were excellent and fun! Cant wait to come back

We had a surprise birthday dinner for my Uncle at this establishment. I had heard nothing but good things about the place and know that it’s pretty upscale. The atmosphere was lovely. Staff was kind. Dinner was very pricey and was not at all what we expected. We ordered Parmesan Crusted chicken but got some kind of smothered chicken with gravy, mushrooms and tomatoes instead. The bread was served way later after dinner was already gone. To make matters worse my husband ordered me a Long Island Ice Tea from the bar and as I drank it I felt something on my tongue so I go to see what it was and it’s a shard of GLASS!!! I immediately brought it to the servers attention and in fact gave her the napkin with the glass on it. I am scared to think about what could’ve happened had I swallowed that. At no time did a manager come out to apologize or speak to me. I did however get offered another drink on the house and was refunded after demanding that my husband be refunded. Very disappointed in this experience.

Where do I start? First off, this place looks like a million bucks. Easily the best looking place in town. Add to that great food and an amazing bar staff. If you haven’t been in, make the effort. You won’t be disappointed.

Being a Mothers Day weekend, we made reservations. Personnel was professional • accommodating • attentive & cordial.The food was buffet ( which I personally do not ordinarily do ) and quite tasty/good. Covid-19 protocols were in place.However, the cost is on the pricey side...whether thats an effort to make up for lost revenue due to the Pandemic or not I cant say...and there was no senior citizens discount.The area appeared nice • we had to use GPS to find it since its not just off an Interstate • the buildings exterior and landscaping is attractive • the interior was comfortable relaxed and set up seemingly to put you in mind of a banquet hall.

Amazing service and food. Didnt have to wait long to be seated and prices were worth it. Had a very good first experience and I hope to go again someday.

Franchescos did our wedding in August and it was fabulous! Kim was amazing and took care of every fine detail. The food and service was excellent!! People are still telling us what a great time they had and how excellent the food was. I would highly recommend them for your next event.

Went here to celebrate a friends 50th/21st. Everything was great at the beginning, server was absolutely amazing the whole time! Owner came and took the couple aside (whose party it was) and told them since we, as guests of their party, received goody bags with little shots of alcohol in them that they are charging them $7 a person EXTRA as if they haven’t paid them enough for this gathering. Food comes out, kids food never came out so the kids were eating the adult entrees until everyone was finished then they brought out the kids food out when someone said something to them about it. Our server calls for last call at 10 pm when the room is reserved and DJ is paid for until midnight so we ask to talk to the owner who doesn’t come to talk to anyone for a good 20/30 min. He states the server will be leaving so we can go to the bar to get drinks if we want but we have to leave by 11 and he will pay for the last hour the DJ was paid for (what a joke!!) Glad we could all still have fun together but the owner and his daughter really put a damper on the night, will never give these people my money.

So this was the first time my boyfriend and I had been to this restaurant which was this past Saturday (September 25, 2021). My bf had reserved a private room for a surprise party for me which then turned into a marriage proposal from him. Not much could have ruined this night and even our experience at this restaurant didnt matter too much. But I do want to put my two cents in on a review of this place. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was great. There were two after wedding parties going on, one right next door to my party. When my fiancé and I walked in and he stated his last name for the reservation the hostess then asked you mean the party? Mind you it was a surprise party for me and I was right there. So that was our first impression of this restaurant which isnt cheap at all. So we get back to our room and I am surprised to see many of my friends but now that I knew something was going on....kind blew that surprise. I have been in the service industry before and to say our service was lacking is an understatement. There were 14 people in my party and apparently they thought it would be a great idea to stick us with a server who was also doing the wedding reception next door. It took no less than 15-30 minutes for us all to get our drinks and then all there was was ice and water and we all wanted refills and we had to wait another 30 minutes. I mean, Im sure this was just a perfect storm, but it was a pretty epic day for me. My fiancé had to rethink the way he was going to propose because the music was so loud next door. I probably would have given this place one star if the food wasnt so great. I think the least this place could do would be to give me a redo to let me know what we experienced wasnt par for the course? Or maybe it was because the wedding party paid more. If its that sort of place, Ill probably pass from now on.,

Authentic pizza with amazing flavor. Tried the regular and pan crust and both were amazing in their own way. The pepperoni and italian sausage is high quality and flavorful. Ordered online and picked up oin the drive thru window and it was hot fresh and heavy, no skimping on toppings here. Just plain awesome food. Highly recommend.

We are SO glad to have decided to have our wedding here, and could not have been happier with all the work the Salamone family did. Both Kim and her husband went above and beyond. The made the whole process so easy from beginning, and words cant describe how perfect the day of was. The event room was set up 100x better than we could have imagined. The food was delicious (no surprise there) and the whole day could not have gone better.I HIGHLY recommend Franchescos as a MUST HAVE place to have your wedding. I guarantee the work that Kim and her staff do is second to none. Not only is all the staff professional, but theyre also very easy going, nothing about the process is stressful and you truly will never forget the day. We could not be more thankful for everything that Franchescos Team did to simply make the day perfect!

You can always count on great food, tasty drinks, and good service. Sometimes there’s a pianist. This time we had a private room which was perfect for our upscale dinner with visiting family.

Event organizer Olivia doesn’t care much about your party, nor does she have the enthusiasm to work with you on the details of the party. Sounds more, don’t ask for details, just bring your open checkbook and we’ll tell you the final cost. She doesnt know which drinks are included in the open bar package. Dont expect to be called back.They don’t have time to sit down with you and work out your plan, needs. I have nothing positive to say. I hope the atmosphere is much better if you come to eat.

We arrived on time for our anniversary dinner. My husband chose Francescos because it was where we met and had our first date. We were wished a Happy Anniversary, as we were seated. That was the last contact we had with any employees at Francescos. We waited at our table for 12 minutes, no water. Hmm. We waited a bit longer and decided to leave. I was disappointed that I didnt get to try their pistachio crusted salmon. On another note, perhaps they could spring for some type of ceiling tile to absorb the sound.

We were about 20 people strong. The service was more than excellent. The drinks were way above and beyond great. As for the food. It was the best food I have had in a long time. I had Salmon that was better than any I have ever eaten. Other folks had Italian food and raved about how good it was. The Calamari was out of this world. I highly recommend them for Atmosphere, service, and quality food.

We had a reservation for three coming in two different cars. The front receiving area didnt handle that very well, but it wasnt a disaster. Service for the first person who arrived and was seated right away was kind of poor, but it wasnt a disaster. Once we finally realized we were all in the restaurant but just not seated together, it went very well. We had an excellent waiter (Rhett) and our food and service was very good. This is one of the very top dining spots in Rockford.

What a fantastic dinner. Their latest remodel is very attractive. Our service was exceptional. Everyone was more than happy to help. Portions were more than adequate, enough for lunch the next day. I would highly recommend for a relaxing experience with family and friends.

Today I dined on the patio with my husband, I was greeted by Nathen and I believe he was training a young man named Abraham. Both boys were absolutely wonderful, charming and polite. I would love to come back and be served by either of them. I was very happy with my meal as well, they were great portions and had the most devine taste.I should have come here sooner! The live music was beautiful as well. Overall the best experience I’ve had here in Rockford.

I came here with my husband the day before Valentine’s Day. We don’t get to do date night often because we have 3 kids and not a lot of family here. Being able to step into a restaurant and feel like royalty the entire time is something that happens on a rare occasion. Every thing was on point from the coat check, to the seating, the piano player, the food and drinks! The drinks had the perfect amount of liquor in them. The coconut shrimp was amazing. The flavor was on point and crispy. The veal Marsala and chicken Parmesan were both amazing meals. We will definitely be back for date night again.

The food was very good but the service left something to be desired. Took 40 minutes for the appetizer to arrive, there were forgotten utensils and dishware (and we had a hard time flagging down our server to get them), and there was food being brought out at the wrong time. Its not super early into the reopening phase and it was a weeknight so perhaps something was off but hopefully will be better next time.

Sat on tge Bennys side... Sophia was amaxing, food was real good, amounts were plenty. Will go again.

Berry bliss cocktail was fabulous. Nothing for a vegetarian. I asked for a specific created meal for my diet. It sounds like the first was done but meat was added. What was served to me was a bowl of call cheese puree and a bowl of sauté vegetables. Granted season well but mediocre on presentation. It could have been elevated by plating the puree and then adding an intricate display of vegetables to combat all flavor profiles. Didnt get the cheese I required for fat and protein.

Ordered the lamb lollipop and seared scallops. Sad to say the scallops were barely seared. The puree that came with the scallops was nice and sweet but the Bok choy didnt make any sense. The lamb lollipop was begging for some seasoning. At the very least a pinch of salt. For entrees ordered the half rack of ribs and a chicken parm. Again was disappointed when I received chicken that wasnt fully cooked. The server quickly apologized and offered to fix the problem and offered us dessert for the inconvenience. The ribs were good the puree with the fries really balance each other out. Overall the ambiance was great and staff exceptional but food was really disappointing. Would not recommend or come back.

I have been converted and love the new menu and decor! I have always wanted to love this restaurant because the owner and family are fantastic. We took the family to dinner and had an amazing service and meal. The new decor is stunning and you do not feel like you are eating in Rockford! Never give up on a restaurant that keeps trying to reinvent itself to service its clients!

Just had excellent fettuccine alfredo with shrimp.But the a cut of prime rib that I had was better than mediocre but it wasnt in the same league with Lowrys prime rib.

We went there for our 51st Anniversary. Haven’t been in a while since the last time was not a good experience, but it was a while ago. The website says the main dining room (where we wanted to eat because it is a beautiful room) had music Tuesday through Friday evening. Got there and the first disappointment was that the dining room is not open during the week now. We were seated in “Benny’s” it was that, the bar or outside.We got bread, oil to dip in, and water fairly quickly. We ordered drinks and bruschetta as an appetizer. There were no bread plates, but it was just the two of. The bruschetta came, still no plate for the appetizer. I wanted a second glass of wine, but had to flag down the waitress for this and to take our order. Ordered a $40.00 steak to share with a baked potato and “chef’s vegetable”. Ordered a side salad. The waitress finally brought my wine, never brought my husband the cup pf coffee he ordered when we ordered our food. We asked if we would be getting our salad before the steak so she seemed surprised, but went back to get it. By now we have already been here an hour. Instead of a side salad, we got a large bowl of salad,no plates and she just set it in the middle of the table and turned to leave until we pointed out that we needed plates. When the steak that was ordered medium with a heavy char on the outside came, it had no char, was medium rare and cold. The two carrots and piece pf asparagus (chef’s vegetable) were room temperature and the potato was lukewarm and had no butter or sour cream.Again, we flagged down the waitress and sent it back to have it all heated. Came out again a few minutes later still the same, no warmer, no more done, the vegetable was cooler, and the potato wouldn’t even,melt the butter they finally brought. Asked for a box and said we would take it home and cook it ourself. No second cup of coffee, but a $90.00 bill was promptly presented. NEVER AGAIN!

Service was sub-par and lacking in every category. The food tasted fine but I see no reason to return.

Wonderful atmosphere. My husband and I were greeted right away as we walked in. The food was good and their music also showed the music video of what was playing instead of sports or news casts.

I would have liked to give this place a nice 5 star review but you can’t make a reservation a day before and still have to wait 45 after multiple reminders to get a table. If you are that busy make your reservation accordingly and save some open tables, it’s part of the restaurant business. The point in making a reservation is so you don’t wait that long. I would have probably done one star but once we made it to the table the service and food was good but still not worth the wait.

The food was delicious. These kids are the pickiest eaters I know and they are their food and half of our food. The staff was awesome and we will definitely will come back. We found a place our kids actually eat all their food without complaints.

Wow, this restaurant says class from the moment you pull into the parking lot. A beautiful establishment. The main dining room is booths around the edge set up one step. Tables in the middle. We dined on a Friday night and in the center of the room was a wonderful pianist and cellist who played all night. At one end of the dinning room were there fire place set into the wall. The food exceeded the room in both visual presentation and taste. Outstanding!!!!! If you are looking for a great family owned restaurant with star quality at every turn this is the gem.

I ate there on Thanksgiving 2018 and had a nice meal with friends/family l. The waiters were more than friendly and helpful even with picky children lol. Desert was good too and wine.Not tje cheapest place but thats because the food is great and its a classy establishment.The lighting and esp The Piano player made for a nice feel good vibe with friendly people.Be prepared to top the waiter And the lady who takes your coat some people forget that and its sort of expected and just good to do. Overall nice place to eat maybe even once a month depending on your budget.

The individual prime rib dinner for 3 was great just wished they didnt forget one of the rolls, and forgot the garlic mashed potatoes for all of us! For $130. It would have been nice to get the entire meal.

Franchesco’s catered our wedding and it was the best experience we could have asked for! They were flexible and helpful with all the changes that we had to make due to the pandemic. Franchesco’s was our wedding venue during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a bride, it was extremely stressful trying to proceed with any plans this year. Franchesco’s did absolutely everything they could to ensure we would have the best possible wedding day given the circumstances. I called weekly and had frequent meetings for updates and encouragement. The entire Salamone family made it known that they were dedicated to guarantee that everything would be okay. The day came and went flawlessly. Everything was handled professionally, and EVERYONE stayed healthy due to the precautions and social distancing that was enforced. The day was perfect and more than I ever could have asked for. Food was incredible and service was top-notch. I cannot thank the Franchesco’s family enough for all they’ve done for us. I am forever grateful for the most perfect day in such a crazy year.

Franchescos is a beautiful place. The food is amazing. The do have a piano player on the weekends. They have different events there such as jazz bands and comedy shows. Beautiful for special occasions or even a date night. Their presentation of their food is impressive too.

We had the luxury of being at this lovely place on Christmas Eve. Perfect table, perfect waiter, (I love when a restaurant hires proper staff then trains them well. Its not rocket science, ya know!?) well executed food and the most delectable tiramisu. OMG! I cant wait to go back. I highly recommend! 5/5

Great service and very good food. Very disappointed with how they handled COVID. The servers wore masks, but the floor managers and bar tenders were not wearing their masks appropriately. When one of the bartenders spoke to anyone, she pulled her mask down. I was most concerned that they did nothing to social distance diners. We were seated less than 2 feet from another pair of diner, with no dividers. There were people walking to the bathrooms with no masks, and children running around. Also the 2 hand sanitizers that we saw where either empty, or not working. I was very disappointed with their lack of concern for my safety. Will not be back, regardless of how good the food was.

I had a nice experience for their Italian Sunday weekend exotic car and motorbike show they served parmesan pasta and also red sauce pasta with Italian sausages an Italian beef along with excellent pizza and drinks to serve

We were seated immediately and then had to wait and wait and wait. After 30 minutes with no server we informed the manager. After that, our service was great. Our server was fantastic, he was mostly serving the other side of the restaurant but made sure we were taken care of. Our steaks were cooked to perfection but the taste did not stand out. Im not sure if it was the seasonings or quality, they were good not great. Would have rated 3 stars but for the lack of service to start.

Very pricey for what you get the waiter we had wasnt very hospitable my suggestion fora great Italian meal is Capri in downtown. You will get better service and portions and all the extras with your meal at a lower cost and better quality.

Our dinner party of 10 ate there Saturday night. Although the food was phenomenal, the service was lacking. I told my husband that I felt as though I was at a banquet. We seldom saw our server unless it was time for the next course or she was bringing another alcholic beverage to the table. Those who only wanted water were pretty much ignored. I have had better service at McDonalds, seriously. I had to flag her down in order to send my undercooked filet back to the grill. Not until after she was clearing the dessert dishes did she ever bother to ask anyone how their meal was and only asked everyone how they liked their dessert. As I started, poor service for the price. I loved the smoked gouda cauliflower puree. It was the first time I had ever had it. I ordered key lime pie for dessert and the crust was a little too hard for a spoon. They only serve dessert spoons, not forks. Seriously? Didnt care for the berries and drizzle, as I didnt think it paired well with the key lime. They put it on every dessert that came to the table. My husband ordered the tiramisu and it was heavenly. I dont care for anything coffee flavored, but this was the best tiramisu I have ever had. Some of our party ordered the cheesecake and shared the huge portions. Reminded me of my grandmothers recipe, but without the pineapples on top. All in all the atmosphere and decore and food were excellent. The wait staff needs to be more attentinve to their dinner guests and not treat them as though they are at a wedding banquet. After speaking with my family at Thanksgiving, I found out that the restaurant is known for poor service and a touchy chef. My sister-in-law worked in the food industry, ordered escargot, and it was full of sand. According to her, the snails were not properly prepared prior to cooking and still had sand in their shells. She complained and asked the waitress to send them back, but the chef came out and tried to tell her there was nothing wrong with them until another gentleman at their table also told the chef he was wrong. So, if you have LOTS of money to waist, good place to go. If you dont, there are many places in Rockford that are more affordable, much better service, and great food as well. I mean just last night I was eating at a different restaurant and our waitress stopped by several times checking up on us after each course and refilling our tea. THAT is service, not Franchescos banquet style wait staff. They assume with a large party of 10 that they automactically get a good tip, so they dont feel the need to work hard for it. SAD, just SAD and poor way to run a business and run off potential patrons.

Very nice restaurant. Our server tonight, Javier, provided reasonably good service but he seemed distracted, disjointed, jittery and unsettled. There were many issues with him, and overall he didnt seem to be the caliber of server this restaurant would have. My wife ordered a steak medium well and it came out medium rare. Our server didnt come back to check on her meal for quite a while, and by then the rest of our party was nearly finished with their meals. Perhaps he was just busy. This is the second time we came here with guests since new years eve, and both times they were out of pistachio gelato and one of our food choices. The atmosphere here is wonderful...like a fine dining, 1950s era, New York steak house...really elegant and classy. The food was fantastic and presented with a great visual appeal. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasnt for our marginal service experience. While leaving we noted a server assistant eating a meal at the hostess desk while chatting with a female manager...tisk, tisk, a restaurant 101 faux pas...no eating for staff in the front of house.

Had a group of fourteen celebrated 4 birthdays that night. I had the cod and it was crispy cooked in a light batter and very delicious! I could not do the all you could eat portions! Their salads are excellent too, see! This is one of them, look at the portion size too!
