This place was awesome, I had a good time bowling and it was a good atmosphere

This place is very clean, great lanes, great for family. The only concern I have is they have a very general variation of bowling balls. If that wasnt the case I would give this location 5 stars with out even thinking about it.

We bowled Womens State tournament there today and we could have been more pleased. The alley was very clean and temperature was cool enough for bowling. The isnt anything worst than a hot bowling alley during a tournament. So Thank you Cherry Bowl for having the environment just perfect.

Every single person that was working was standing around the entire time. It was slow, so I don’t understand how you guys can afford labor when there’s 10 of you standing around/ pacing back and forth between bar and front counter. My boyfriend also went up to the bar to order food and the bartender just stood there and looked at him, didn’t have one ounce of customer service.

My family and I go to Cherry Bowl all the time and we love it. They are always accomadating, pleasant. We love the vibe from the employees and other people who come there.

Kids Bday Party....Great Time...and Fun

Its definitely not as up to date as alot of the newer bowling alleys but its got charm. Small, quiet place to play and have fun. With all our times going majority of time the staff and bar service are very pleasant and willing to help. Its worth checking out.

They have nice bowling balls, but theyre lanes arent cleaned whatsoever. Your ball has to go full speed to normally get a strike. I like everything here, besides the lanes, and the bowling supplies shop. The shop has good stuff, Ill admit, but fixing two of my bowling balls that has a tiny scratch there was way too much. They said they would have my ball done in about 2 days, me and my mom went there 4 days after, and they STILL werent done. Thats the only thing, I suggest they clean their lanes and get a better shop crew, then Ill start going there.

Lanes seem to be kept up well. Food is decent. Place needs a major renovation though as does Forest Hills Lanes. Parking lot at cherry bowl is pothole mania. Be careful driving through this parking lot!

Wonderful service. The service staff went above and beyond their duty during the birthday party for my twelve year old. The food was promptly served and delicious.

Fun time with family.Not to impressed tonight.One we asked for the bumpers to be put up, we had a three year old with us and it would of been nice for her.Two we had a choice of three bowling balls. None under the tables. The ones by the back wall were covered.We made it work.We will be back. Everyone has an off night. And I think they are having a competition tomorrow. Minds were probably elsewhere tonight.

We signed up for the league for Sundays night bowling. The deal they ran provided a free ball, which seemed like a great deal. We live pretty far from the bowling alley, but we have another couple that live near, and we created a team together.I called ahead of time to get my ball drilled for the last game, went down there to set everything up as the ball was supposed to be in, but when I got there it wasnt.That last night of bowling I couldnt use my ball, but Anne the manager took my info, had the ball drilled to specifications, and delivered to another bowling alley down the road from me in order to help save me another trip.I like that they were able to do that for me and my wife.

The bowling experience is good, the food is ok (nothing spectacular), the bar area is nice. The prices are fine. Overall it feels slightly dated, with a lack of renovations or changes making it feel a bit stale. Nonetheless, what they do have works, and is kept in order, and the location as a whole is fairly clean. I would definitely recommend this location for bowling practice or casual bowling with friends.

This is our go-to alley. The staff is friendly and the pro-shop employees are very helpful. My son likes the food and we always have a good time.

State tournament was fun

Good food. I havent bowled here but I do like their menu. And the server or bartender is always friendly.

Was a little disappointed in Cherry Bowl today. Besides being crammed between 2 birthday parties, while most of the lanes were empty. The biggest let down was the food and service at the snack bar. Ordered a Large pizza, ended up throwing most of it away. Everyone brave enough to try it, was instantly regretful of that decision about an hour later.Idk if the employee working the snack bar was just having a bad day, and took it out on me, or if that was just her personality, but she was very rude. After I placed my order, she just stared at me........for a long uncomfortable minute. Finaly I asked if I said something wrong, to which she snapped at me something about sizes. I probably wont be back.

The people are so good to us here! And there is an open bowling special each day. We are here weekly. So enjoyable.

Had a work gathering here. The staff was very nice and helpful. They let us have a tab so ordering food and drinks was easy for everyone. Had a great time. They have a decent food selection and prices are reasonable.

This is the best alley in the Rockford area, especially on the weekends. Its not too crowded and its a safe environment unlike the other lanes in Rockford where the patrons are also prominent gang members. They have moonlight bowling and usually have a good house band on the weekends.

Have fun bowling there each time we go. Have pizzas, hot wings, and sandwiches etc plus the refreshments.

Unless they have a special going on its s very expensive to bowl here.

1st time their in years it was a good experience

Went with my daughters 5th grade class. They did a great job at setting up 16 lanes for 50 kids and parents and made it fun for everyone. They did have a line for food, but they did a good job at trying to get the food out as quick as possible.

If you can get a lane outside of league bowling its a nice bowling alley. Drinks are inexpensive and surprisingly they have some very good wings as well as other menu options.

Best Bowling alley in rockford area. staff is super awesome and go above and beyond to help you have a great time. snack bar food is fantastic and a nice variety. bar has affordable prices on drinks and they have gaming. location is right by the mall.

My daughters recently went to a birthday party at Cherry Bowl and really enjoyed bowling for the first time in a few years

The coach Richard Shockley, the pro-shop employees, and the counter help including the manager are all Top Notch! We purchased our equipment and received coaching from Richard, and (other than our bowling scores) we couldnt be happier. A wonderful experience and we are recommending all of our friends to join in the fun at a Great establishment!

Its what you expect for a bowling alley. James arent super up to date. Definitely still has that older feel while still using digital scoring. Selection of house balls was a bit lacking. Regretted not having my ball with me. Crazy amount of oil on our lane, I normally break early, even with house balls, had to basically bowl from the lane next to me.

Great times have been had here and looking forward to going again.

Im on a league its pretty good most of the time. It is under new ownership and the new manager claims hes gonna be fixing things up so we will see.

The bowling alley is aged, but drinks are very reasonably priced at the bar. The cheese curds we had were very good, but pizza was so so at best. Shoe rental and bowling is overpriced in my opinion, but we always bring a coupon.

Came here for a field trip and we all had a blast. Great entertainment for the kids.

The bowling is decent, fair prices and decent ball selection. The biggest annoyance was the arcade racing games both had broken steering but you dont know until its too late

One of the few places to have fun in town for everyone! They have an arcade alongside bowling and they also have many options for food there. Not the cleanest of all places but overall a good place to have fun.

I recently purchased a bowling ball at a local bowling pro shop and didnt like the way the ball was drilled, when I asked them to correct this it became apparent that they werent going to unless I spent another $50 or more.So, I took it to The Cherry Bowl Pro Shop and there I met a gentleman named Tom Carter, who talked with me about my ball, watched me bowl with the ball and even gave me a brief lesson. All this to get an understanding of my swing and the ball. I could not have been more happy with the results. Turns out my ball was drilled incorrectly to begin with and was illegal because of the weight distribution. The remedy? Tom took a scientific approach, plugged my ball and re-drilled it to be precisely the way I wanted it!I would recommend Tom and The Cherry Bowl for your next bowling ball purchase or for lessons. Working with people that care makes all the difference in the world to me and from here on out I will be taking my business to The Cherry Bowl.Thanks Tom and your team!

It was a good atmosphere for the state bowling tournament.

This place is the worst. We signed up for the hour bowling. Our balls got stuck a couple times and we had to reset the pins 4 times, it didnt count strikes as strikes and the option to change the score is disabled. Immediately at the hour mark the lane shut down with a couple frames left. We asked to have it reopened, especially since we wasted so much time waiting for the lane to be fixed. They claimed they could not reopen the game without us paying five dollars for an extra 15 minutes. The only positive part of this experience was the air conditioning.

Automatic scoring was constantly messing up. Had to have scores corrected a number of times. Outside of that, a fun outing.

Always a great place to bowl and the bar is great as well. Live music on the weekends.

Great experience with family. I did appreciate the toddler bowling balls, bowling assist ramps. The service was actually amazing, more than I ever expected.

I recommend to come here with friends but the problem with it was that there was a big in the computer where it wouldnt always reset the pins and it would say so and so has a turn but it wouldnt reset the pins.

A wonderful group of people here who unselfishly allow the Special Olympics to bowl here for their regionals. That speaks for itself.

The bumper on lane 11 was pretty broken. They gave me tap water and watered-down lemonade. Papa Johns pizza wasnt the best. The bathroom didnt have any paper towels so I had to airdry. The walk in wasnt that clean either. But it was cool

It was better this week than most the lane only broke a couple times so that is pretty good considering there is a lot of issues sometimes with the lanes

Total rip off. They cut our time 20 minutes short then made us pay for their mistake. There was no talking to him about it at all. Very unreasonable.
