After a month of military training and no access to a nail salon, I decided to stop in and get my rough feet some deserved pampering. My nail technician spent over an hour on my feet! This was the best experience I ever had at a nail salon! Thank you so much! I wish your salon was at my permanent home…Raleigh, NC.

I usually have a good experience. This time I think my technician was rushing towards the end of my visit. She did not put a top coat on my gel manicure. Just 3 days later my nails have turned purple, there are bubbles under the polish and the polish is peeling up. It’s certainly not cheap so I expected much better.

This was not a bad pedicure nor was it a particularly good pedicure. The woman working was fine - but she didnt ask me if I wanted my nails rounded or flat or interact with me at all except to ask me if I wanted to add on extras for a charge. It was like a speed race to finish and the nail polish was just kind of slapped on and tooth and coats and now that Im home, Im noticing bits of skin that need to be cleaned up and places where the polish is not consistent. For 40 bucks, I just expect a little more.

Yen was so professional and very soothing. She made me enjoy a nice spa after a long day of work.

This place is wonderful. A good friendly atmosphere. We go see Tammy and Sandy. They treat you like friends as soon as you walk in the door.

Fantastic place! Great manicure by Tammy, have dry cuticles, she did best job ever had. Last time had lavender pedi, wonderfully relaxing. Great work, pleasant environment.

The things I look for, professionalism, cleanliness, availability and friendliness are all there at Royal Nails & Day Spa. Whatever you want or need will be provided with a smile. Seldom any waiting for walk ins but appointments are also available.

Ive come here twice now and its been a great experience. Its a very nice salon, prices arent much more than other salons, and every time theyve offered me a glass of wine and mimosa. I got their gels and man do they have a great selection. Everyone is so friendly. A great salon to visit!

Love this place! The staff was so pleasant and the place was clean and beautiful. I got a Gel Manicure and a Milk and Honey Pedicure. The scrub on my legs was a bit too intense for my sensitive skin, but thats not their fault. Ill skip the scrub next time and enjoy everything else. I sipped Cabernet, enjoyed the massage chair, read a book, and left with the best nails and feeling totally relaxed!

I love coming here for pedicures and other spa treatments. The atmosphere is very elegant and relaxing, and the staff exercise excellent environmental hygiene. I am always happy with my results, be it pedicure, manicure, or waxing. The staff are also very courteous.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. They took care of my niece, sis in law and myself very well. From manicures to deluxe pedicures including paraffin wax and hot stones... we were pampered and I almost fell asleep from the massage throughout my pedicure. Will definitely make this a favorite place 😊

In the past, Ive had a good experience but on this past Friday, it was awful. The manicurist took forever to do my pedicure and acrylic fill in. (Almost THREE hours) And my nails do not look great. She painted over the cuticles. I will say the staff are very nice and the salon is very clean.

Nice place. Nail polish stays on. Nice nail tech. Pretty clean place. The only problem is not taking the old sample colors out when they no longer have that color.

My nail tech was named Tina. She did NOT listen to me at all. She was constantly rushing and was on the phone almost the entire time. Making me even wait 10 minutes at one point. Was incredibly rough with my hands and nails and any time I put in my two cents, she got all mad and frustrated. If the place wasn’t full, I would’ve caused a scene but it seems management didn’t cared about my business either when I spoke to them on the side. DO NOT GO HERE, especially if you are a male.

Told me they could do them how i wanted. Definitely could not. it’s a joke honestly

Such a great clean place with wonderful service

I usually always go to this salon and have almost always received good service. Today however I visited and was so upset with my experience I may not go back to this salon. I have gotten black polish with matte top coat several times at this establishment and have always been happy with the results. Today the technician first used a matte top coat they they normally dont use and it did not work on my nails. After asking several other technicians she finally found the matte coat is normally used. I think due to putting the bad top coat on first my nails did not turn matte like they normally do. When I told the technician they dont normally look that shiny with the matte she acted like I didnt know what I was talking about and said it was how it was supposed to be. After still complaining because I was extremely unhappy with the final result she called over another technician to tell me that it was how it was supposed to be. Having gotten the matte over the black multiple times I know it is wrong due to her using the wrong product initially but they would not fix it even though I expressed how unhappy I was. Finally after realizing I was not going to get what I wanted I left. Im so disappointed at how I was treated here today. For the amount of money they charge here not getting the result you wanted is ridiculous.

This place is wonderful! I got a manicure from Trang 2 weeks ago, and its still going strong! They are clean, and the service is very relaxing. Make sure to ask for the complimentary drink with your pedicure! They take reservations for large groups, which is strongly recommended. They are great with children, too! My daughter and her friends love coming with us!

Currently sitting in the salon typing this because it was absolutely fantastic! Cassie did an amazing job on my pedicure. I haven’t had one in a year now and knew they needed a lot of work. She spent an hour working on my feet where as I saw most women doing their pedicures in 20 minutes. I really appreciate the time she took out of her day to help my feet, again GO TO CASSIE!

I went in 3 days ago to get my nails done, they looked so good at first. The lady was very nice.I felt like she was rushing with the gel nails. The gels are now pealing,after 3 days. I payed $25,not happy.

Ive been here a couple of times and Ive really enjoyed it. It can be a little expensive, but if youre looking for an excuse to treat yourself its a nice place! The ladies take their time, especially with the specialty pedicures. The staff has always been very friendly and welcoming. The salon is nice and clean. I usually have a good experience at Royal Nails, but not yesterday. Pedicurist was not remotely friendly, did not introduce herself, never smiled or even spoke to me. She was rather rude, in fact. The pedicure was rushed, sloppy and painful. Still feeling pain today for the way she stabbed at my toes with her instruments.She actually asked my friend and I to leave while we were still talking and our nails were drying even though there was not one single other person in ANY of the pedicure chairs. Not one! She came up, picked up my things and told me it was time to go!! RUDE!I will spend my hard-earned money at one of the MANY other nail salons in Richmond. I will not be treated with disrespect when I am paying YOU for a service that is supposed to be pleasant. You have lost a customer due to very poor customer service.

I’ve been coming here for years. Unfortunately, my experience yesterday was horrible. I went in for a pedicure which was nicely done. Afterwards, I asked for dipping powder with tips for my nails and the tech continued to pester me about doing just a regular mani with no tips after I told her specifically what I wanted. I asked for my eyebrows done and I told the tech I wanted a clean up and not too thin. She proceeded to make them thin AND uneven. I told her about my concern and she told me I’d have to wait for the hair to grow back in order for her to make it even. I was very upset. I will NOT be going back here.

The place is warm and welcoming. The ladies did a very nice job on our nails. As with all salons, they try to up sell to something more without telling you there’s additional cost so just know what you want and what you want to pay when you go.

I wish I could post a picture of my nails and toes. I just got my nails done yesterday and it look likes my 5 year old cousin did them. I have paint all on my skin and the polish is cracking up. I told the person that did my nails that I didnt like them and she still didnt do anything to make them better. My toe nails are painted the same. This is my first time going there and Ill never go again. I didnt know until I left that you get a complementary glass of wine. The person that did my nails didnt even offer me a glass of wine... I dont even care about the wine my nails look terrible, the atmosphere was so relaxing though. I wish I could give you the girls name cause maybe she just didnt know how to do nails. I drove 25 minutes away from where I live thinking the quality was going to be great. I wasted my time and money.

I was recommended to this faculty and i went this Friday. I was greeted nicely. I was then sat down with a tech named Mindy. I told her i previously called in and was told what’s i wanred would be 26. She raised the price three times. She told me I would be charged for filing my nails. I know there is a language barrier but i am sure she could see me beginning to fuss. I began to say your charging me extra for filing my nails? She said yes that way is extra. I required almond shape at basic length. She still tried filing themSquare . Then proceeded after became made and said I’ll do it for free . It took everything in me to not get out of that chair. She told me to pick colors and brought me back the wrong ones. She said it was an additional 15 for gel polish at this point I’m doing what i can to remain calm. I said please do whatever you need. She tried to make small talk but after someone haggles you for price after price and you already called. it made me so upset. When she was finished she told me it was 41 and when i got to the register and handed her 60 bucks she said ohhh cash is only 39.00. She is either manipulating customers or management . I will not be going back to place i like when business is taken seriously and i get what i requested . I’ll take my services else where . Also i didn’t get my change back. I felt very taken advantage of. I should report this place but instead i hope this review finds others well.

I wanted to love it. Ive been searching for a great place and they had wonderful reviews. My gels are messy, uneven and just all around not great. Im not one to make a fuss so after asking she fix two of them in spots where the gel wasnt covering the nail I just accepted what I got and got out of there. My tech was very nice and the place was nice and clean but my nails just dont look good.

Very nice looking interior with friendly staff. They have lots of colors and services to choose from. Unfortunately I had a pretty disappointing experience with them.1. They have you wait at a fully stocked bar with alcohol, which is not cool if you’re recovering/sober.2. I wasn’t asked to wash or sterilize my hands and didn’t see the nail tech do so either. Nail implements were pulled from a cubby that I couldn’t see.3. As the nail tech cut my cuticles on one hand, she had the other resting in a bowl of warm water. Which was totally fine until I realized she was putting my dead skin of the other hand in the bowl. Bleh!!4. I had an appointment for a $31 acrylic nail job. They tried to upsell me to a $61 version. I declined, and as a result I got a very hasty job in which she didn’t trim or shape my nails.5. You can’t tip on your card so if you don’t already have cash with you, you have to use their ATM which has a $3 fee.6. When I asked them to break my $20 bill so I could tip, they shorted me by another $3!!! I didn’t realize until I was in my car - at which point I was done.I left feeling like I had a subpar nail job and ripped off. Also washed my hands for like 10 minutes when I got home because of the lack of sanitization.

This is the best nail salon in Richmond by far!I have been a customer for 10 years and it just keeps getting better!You will not be disappointed, promise!

I have had both manicures and pedicures and wow they both were well done. Care was taken to make sure I was comfortable and that I was getting exactly what I requested. The massages to your feet/legs and hands/arms is quite soothing and makes you relax. I would highly recommend the girls who do your mani and/or pedi and their price is very reasonable. Go to see them you like it!!!

I was in from out of town. Made appointment for my daughter and me. The technician rushed us to pick a color. The pedi was Okay. The mani okay. Their polish seemed old or as if they added something to make it last longer. Polish in hands Bubbled within a few hours.

Walked in today for a gel polish change. The job was rushed and done very sloppily. I was not given time to select a color or assisted in finding the specific one I wanted—which I asked about and knew they had last time I came in. My nail tech didn’t ask if I wanted my nails cut down or what shape I wanted. She only applied 2 coats of a color that really needed 3. I left with sloppy, uneven color that’s transluscent in some areas, cotton ball stuck to my fingers and polish, and polish all over my nail beds and even on the bottoms of my fingers (how?!). I didn’t even have a chance to ask the tech to fix what she’d done as she disappeared before the uv lights were even off on the last cycle. Needless to say I won’t be coming back to Royal Nails.

Top quality treatment, had a very good mani pedi.

Went in for a mani-pedi. After a wait I was seated in a pedicure chair with a broken screen for massage control (6 other chairs open) and had to ask for tools to be swapped for new/clean ones. Pedicure was good until technician cut into my cuticle enough to bleed. Finished pedicure and went to a desk for the manicure. I expected to have my cuticles and nails soaked/trimmed, lotion massaged in and nails painted. I had lotion rubbed briefly onto my hands and was told to pick a color polish. Technician thinned it out with acetone, applied and that was the end of it.They advertise free wine with service but at roughly $10 over nearby salons you are paying for it. Technicians dont seem to care about attention to quality of chairs/tools much less detail. Thinning out polish is cheap & makes for a bad manicure that indeed chipped less than 24 hours later.WILL NOT RETURN.

Ive never been here before, and I took my mom and I to get a pedi and mani done for the 1st time today. They did a great job and I was satisfied with the service. They give you a glass of champaign or wine for free for the 1st glass. Its also very clean. Although the customer service was great, I wished the girl tht was taking care of me took her time a little more. I felt like she was rushing and I didnt really get tht pampering feeling. Overall, I loved this place!

At first I thought this place is nice big and clean, however the pedi was substandard and hurt at times. My gel manicure was horrible! It was peeling off in two days on day 4 I went back to have them fix. I couldnt remember the name of the person who did my mani and that caused a huge fuss. They fixed my mani at no charge however i will never go back! It was $20 more then the shop across the street!

Ive been going to Royal nails since it first opened, I was a teen going in with my grandmother after getting her rx at westbury pharmacy. Since then theyve really expanded and became a more professional business... I have had lots of mani pedis there over the years my husband and family still get me gift cards to go there for my bday & Christmas every yr. I highly recommend them but I will say not every nail tech does the same job so sometimes it may not be up to your expectations as I see from some other reviews on here all I can say is thats any place u go but here u can call ahead make appt with WHO DOES DO IT RIGHT, my fave as well as my Nannys is Annie! Tom & his wife (owners) are hard workers and lovely ppl. U will never get a fungus infection at this place either very clean & use NEW tools every time Ive been there or theyre sanitized in machine. Give em a try! & I also have been to other uppity joints like Avas... I prefer ROYAL NAILS every time!

Will never go back. Received a sloppy and hurried pedicure. After asking manicurist to clean up polish left on my skin and missed part of nails, she started to say it was my fault because my nails are too short. Never again.
