I have used Terminix for 10+ years. The first 10 years were great, no complaints. But, recently had our first ant problem. I called on a Monday. I was told someone would call to schedule a time to come. No one called, so I called again the next day. Once again was told I would get a call within 24-48 hours. Still no call so I called back on Friday (4 days after original call) was told the first available appointment was a week and 1/2 later. So much for their guarantee. And that date just happened to be my regular 3-month service. In the meantime I had to go purchase my own ant stuff to get rid of them. They came and did the usual and I got my bill which has gone up again! So, they just ignored me until my regular service was due? I called again to ask about maybe getting a discount due to lack of service and purchasing my own ant supplies. I was told the manager would call me within 24-48 hours. Still waiting….that was 20 days ago….and the ants are back.
I set up an appointment with the local Terminix (Petaluma) customer service. The technician failed to show up on the date and time window that we agreed upon. I called and asked for a call from the technician to call and no one called. When trying to call for service, there are impossible wait times. When calling for new service you can get a person almost immediately, It seems they want to get your business, but just do not have reliable people to do it.I finally got someone to respond. Terminix sent a new employee Jessica who was understanding and she performed the service to the best of her abilities. It was a new experience to her to eradicate an angry nest of yellow jackets next to my house. She came out twice and attempted to eradicate the nest, but the insects persisted. She told me to call her supervisor, which I did leaving a message on his work phone. I give Jessica high marks for trying, but a poor review for the company for not following up on the service that was never completed. The supervisor, Cameron, never returned my call and did not follow up with any communication. I paid the invoice, but would never use the services of this company again.
Highly do NOT recommend using terminix for your own peace of mind. Save yourself a headache. They dont communicate with you, the inspector and field guys left a MESS, and they rescheduled without confirming with me first. OVERCHARGED for services not even rendered. The guys showed up when I wasnt home since they failed to let me know that they changed the times and still charged us for a service that wasnt even done!! Multiple attempts to contact them. Called 3 - 4 times for refund spanning a months time. No follow up contact. Customer service is rock bottom standards. Still no refund for the services not rendered nor calls as of this post.Similar to prior reviews here you can see the horrible communication and lack of follow up.
Their general pest control technicians are good, responsive consistent in their service. If you call their call center phone number, the only one they provide, the lack of responsiveness is nearly 100% and accidental. Returning calls to an area manager, at a number he provides, is also not successful. They may have good products but anything besides the primary service providers are completely lacking in customer service even their call center that make promises has no follow through. 3 stars is generous.
Jacob came to our door offering a special for our neighborhood. He was very clear and educated on what they offer and the pricing was right so I booked them. The day of technician communicated ahead of time to notify us of their arrival. They came on time, listened to my concerns about spiders, wasps, and mice. Preformed the work needed to be done in a timely manner and checked in with me once they completed the job. They left me with a detailed outline of what was preformed and my bill. The Kelvins were very friendly and I look forward to our next appointment knowing that its a smooth, quick, reliable process.
We have the termite coverage as part of our package. Traps are checked annually. The inspection showed three traps had to be re-baited since they were full of dead bugs. The technician came out and rechecked all the traps, re-baited the ones that needed it and installed a new one to replace the one our dog dug up. He showed up on time and was very courteous and friendly. All the technicians with Terminix have been great. Will continue with our service.
Didnt do cobbwebs outside and the spiders are still alive in them. Wouldnt listen to me about the spiders getting worse with whatever they used to spray a week before and said its because of the stress but we have never had a problem before!
I have repeatedly (more than twiced) asked to be notified when my service appointments are scheduled so I can calendar scheduled service. That has not occurred on the last two service occasions. Instead, I get a phone call from the technician on his way to my home. Last time I was in Maine when the tech called. Moreover, my annual exclusion inspection occurred in September of last year and Terminix failed to follow up with necessary work uncovered during that inspection. It remains incomplete.
Service person was on time. Finished the service quickly and efficiently. He explained the service and recommended a follow up in two weeks at no extra charge. Very satisfied.
Worst cust serv i have ever know in 60 years. did not keep mult. appointments or update calls, did poor work (only installing 5 pieces of steel wool) & then wanted to charge us over $2k for this. It took over 3 months for them stop charging us after the contract canceled. My husband & I probably spent almost 100 hours on the phone to clear this up. Finally ended up disputing with CC company.

Terminix has given me many issues with not doing their contracted work. You must be very vigilant to get the service you request. Sometimes they do send excellent technicians. Recently Tech Sassan Gari was wonderful! I am so pleased with his visit & professionalism.

I would not recommend terminix on multiple occasions while recommending the work needed done to my property they failed to carry out the work orders that are passed on to subcontractors. I after paying quite a large sum of money have yet to get my home secured from rodents. Even while the subcontractors had finished some work they yet pointed out multiple entry points where rodents can still enter my garage and run freely about my home. Eric Turner personally assured me he would be here to supervise said work and did not arrive nor let me know he wouldn’t be here. Look for a different exterminator TERMINEX are not professional.
The technician was informative, he made sure that I knew what he was going to be using to deal with the problem. He wore a mask and was good about maintaining social distance which is excellent. The customer service was also great they were super friendly and answered all the questions that I had and were able to book an appointment for me as soon as possible.

We were Terminix customers for 20+ years, quality no longer matters to the point of negligence, there is no such thing as customer support or follow up if there is an issue, and they contract all work other than routine maintenance to different 3rd parties

Wasps had found a way inside our home and Terminex were able to come out the same day and get rid of them. Highly recommend.
I have attempted to get new monthly spray service for the past month! Thats right...a month! I have called 5 times and even told them the dates and times on my last call, last week. I was finally given a Managers (thats questionable!) cell number so I could follow up directly. We spoke a week ago and he stated he would email the contract. He also stated that if I returned it ASAP he would have someone at my house TODAY to spray. I texted him 5 times!!! YES, thats also right...FIVE TIMES! My name, address, phone number and email, and NOT ONCE HAS HE RESPONDED!!! This is absolutely deplorable!!! I am incredibly unhappy with this company. Too bad theyre the only company who services my area. I guess Ill be spraying my house myself! GRRRRR!!!!!
Great service no hassle
This review is for the Terminix company as a whole. We have a terrible any problem and I was told by a gentlemen in customer service that someone would be coming to our home the day after next. Then when I went to check the email confirmation it stated that they would be here the following week. I called to ask why I was told a different time and they said “that was just an estimate of when they could maybe come to your house” but in reality their next appointment wasn’t until a week out. Very unprofessional. They kept me hanging on saying well “maybe we can get someone out there sooner we will call you back” and I would never hear from them. Very disappointed.
Our house was being bombarded by ants for the past couple months, after one 20 minute treatment, we havent seen any ants since- that was 2 weeks ago. Easy Peasy
Ive used Terminix continuously for over 15 years. I love that I never have to be concerned about infestations and when I do get some unwanted pests, Terminix responds quickly. They have always been friendly and very helpful!

Our neighbor recommended Terminix to deal with the termites at our house in Jenner, CA. The man, Javier Corona, sent our to our house was on time, friendly, knowledgeable, and inspired confidence. He answered all our questions, understood our requests, clearly explained the services available, and followed up on his service call. What great service!

Unreliable. Untrustworthy. Best to avoid.I live in Novato and signed up for their quarterly service. 1st service was great since I was onsite and the last 2 he did nothing but leave a post-it note saying he was there (I have an exterior camera and caught his lack of effort on the most recent service call).They also dont follow through when you make appts outside of your quarterly service.Go with another company or monitor their technicians like a hawk. You know they will keep charging that card on file until you call your CC to complain.
They are in and out and the bugs are gone. Friendly technicians. I highly recommend them. I had an ant problem in my kitchen. I have never had a bug problem in my home and i have been here for 25 years. They came out and treated, the ants still persisted, Terminix came out again and now they are gone. No signs of them for a few months now.
I have been using Terminix for years. These guys are professionals and do excellent service. They have been providing an exterior pest control service in the perimeter of our house. Specifically Mat is communicating very well via vm. I am busy and almost always miss his calls. He just leaves a detailed messages 2 days in advance of when he is coming, then when he is at the house and then when he has done the work. The do everything in the perimeter if your house - special treatments for insects, rodents, prevention of beetles and wasps nests and knocking cob webs. They remind you to let them know of any issues that had came up 2 days before they come.When the service is completed they would leave a receipt at the door. Ever since we had Terminix services we do not have to worry about pests and, especially, wasps!

No termite activity almost immediately after treatment. ant activity has also decreased. Wood eating Beetles are also gone after treatment.
Sam was great. He went above and beyond confirming our appointment ahead of time and walking us through all the chemicals, the process and how long to keep our animals in the house. Overall great experience with him. My first tech was a no show but when I called they had me rescheduled quickly and escalated to find out why the first person didn’t show up. I would recommend Terminex to others. The pricing was a great deal too!
Debbie Parashis at the Petaluma office of Terminix handles scheduling, contract renewals etc. She is TERRIFIC. I used to call Terminixs nationwide 800 number and the service I got there was lousy. I was ready to drop my contract with Terminix. Then I got in touch with Deb right here locally. Since then everything has been perfect, GREAT service! Its been about 4 years since then, and I am a very happy camper. Just now I signed another yearly contract renewal with Deb, and she scheduled two services for me, annual termite inspection & eradication service, and quarterly rat and spider exclusion service. I highly recommend them! Be sure to contact Debbie.
Do not recommend this comany. I hired them to seal my house and they made holes on my roof when sealing a vent. I hired a roofing co. To fix their mess and company has failed to reimburse me for repair. In addition, in several occasions I had appointments and techs would not show up. This Co. Is waste of time & $$$.

My parents moved in June of 2019 from their home into an assisted living center. I called and cancelled their service with Terminex within 2 weeks of the transition. My mother passed away a few months later and then in April of 2020 a bill shows up with a new charge. My father is 90 and can’t advocate for himself so I called to find out what was going on. After 20 minutes of getting passed around to different departments, I was told that my parents had prepaid through March 2020 and that they had no record of me canceling. I explained the situation, that they moved and no longer live in the house and they told me they would refer my issue to the local branch. When I asked who gave them permission to continue spraying after the prepaid period was complete, they had no answer. When I asked them to transfer me, they refused and said someone would call me. No one did and my Dad has received another bill. So sad to see a big company line Terminex harass a 90 year old man for a $20 bill!!!

I will NEVER Use Terminix. I tried canceling my appointment because we wanted to do more research. Calling is a nightmare, when I finally got someone on the phone, they said I’m not in the system until the day of the appointment. Had to call again for cancellation, they would not take a no thank you for an answer, had to say NO period. Do your research before signing up with door to door people!!
I am very satisfied with the service I get from Terminix. They are on time and do a good job. The knock all the webs down and check for ants plus spray for spiders. Good people.
Was quoted the wrong price for pest control and exclusion, after figuring out there was a problem I contacted Adrian the branch manager to try to resolve the problem no response so I hired an attorney because I wanted the service and was willing to pay the difference instead they canceled my contract and offered a refund. The guy they sent out was a older guy that acted like he was scared to go in the basement he stood at the door and dropped poison and traps as far as his arms could reach. I just hired Clark Pest Control they have 4 people at my house right now with terminex I barely could get 1 person here .
Your sales rep that initially knocked on our door was awesome; he explained the service succinctly and then offered us price that we felt was reasonable. Your guys showed up as scheduled and did a great job! All Aces 🏆

Great customer service from Steven BOYD. He was on time, explained the service and answered my questions. We had so many ants, spiders and hornets and yellow jackets. He had to come back out due to those pesty hornets. Steven came back to our home promptly and got rid of them!

They told me that is I had any problems after the spray they would come out again. I had ants again 5 days after the first treatment- and true to their word they came right out again- and no ants now--so I am happy. One thing- they did mix up the time- I was told am and they showed in the afternoon, so I gave them feedback about that. But all in all I am pleased so far with the service.
Very professional and a decent price for the service. Technicians are all very courteous when I’ve been able to see or speak with them, very friendly. Customer service has taken my needs for prior notifications seriously and I’m happy they are sending me email notifications prior to service so I can notify my tenants.
Awful customer service. Have scheduled 3 different appointments to get our services started with Terminix. They have not showed up to 2 different scheduled appointments. By the third appointment the technician showed, but would only treat the exterior of the house and refused to treat the interior. Technician states “treating the interior does not help get rid of spiders.” I think it’s time to try scheduling with another company.
Robert was amazing! As soon as I opened the door, he made friends with my nervous dog so we could talk in peace. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained the whole process and how each step works to manage pests. He was fun and easy to talk to throughout the visit. Overall he is the reason Im glad we signed up for service.

Your technicians always ask if there are any problem areas. They are always clean and neat and very polite, always asking how things are going. They arrive on schedule on the days we are open within our hours of operation. I am very pleased with the service Terminix provides
I signed up for quarterly service with terminix via an at the door solicitor. I found out later that i was assigned to an office in Petaluma, though i live in Benicia(about 40 miles away) and their are several closer locations. When i have called for service, i get routed to a call center in another state or country. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get a human being on the phone at that office. When i finally got someone on the phone, i requested to cancel my service and he claimed to be a manager and that he would cancel the service. Then a month later, i get a call telling me I have a quarterly maintenance appointment. This location sucks. If you call the location in Berkeley, you will get a human being on the phone and they will actually try to help you. I am very disappointed in my experience with this location of Terminix. The only reason i didnt give them 1 star is because, Robert, the service technician was nice and apologetic. If you ever sign up for terminix, make sure you dont get locked into this location. Also, i didnt see any difference at all in a reduction in pests or insects. Seemed pretty useless.

Christina, our technician, is simply WONDERFUL. She knows what she is doing, keeps us informed of what she has found, and explains in detail what she is doing to remedy the problem. She then returns a few days later to see the results. We cant be more pleased. The exclusion guys are also excellent. Nick was our original technician but we now have a new person, dont know his name, but he is great.
James is our technician and he is the best. On time, calls ahead, checks if the time works for me and is dog friendly when coming to spray at my home. Thanks James!!!
No show on scheduled inspection.Booked an inspection with a confirmed time of 1p-3p, and stayed home from work to deal with it.By 3pm, no-one had showed, so I called Customer Support, and was told the person was running late and that I was next on the list.By 5p, still no-one had showed. I wasted a half-day with this incompetence. I did not receive a call / email from Terminix to say they would not show. They just didnt show.
I requested service (without being 100% sure that I wanted it) after being told that I could cancel at any time, so I wouldnt have to worry about being unsure. After speaking with my fiance, we decided against their service so, I called to cancel. This morning I received my FIFTH CALL from these people. Having told them every time that I DO NOT what my home services! While I had considered before that, well, Ill call them when I do require their service. Now Im thinking that I will not. Due to their employees inability to listen to simple requests. Like TAKE ME OFF YOUR CALL LIST. Just poor customer service. Work on it, guys!

I have been trying to speak with Eric in Petaluma for 4 days. I have left numerous messages for him and have not received a call back. This is all because they did not arrive for the GUARENTEED APPT (which I rearranged so much to make happen). When I call the 800 number I sit on hold for hours to then reach someone who can’t help me. This is by far the WORST company. I will be contacting corporate as well as BBB. I fed scammed and lied to.

WORST COMPANY EVER!! It seemed simple..i agreed to a price they came out to do the work and then the drama began...the rep refused to honor the price, was trying to sign me up for a larger contract. He wouldnt do anything and I spent my time to arrange to be there for the appointment and then on the phone with their horrible customer service after. The original person that made the agreement continued to try to help me resolve the problem (she was great), but all of the men treated me like I was a stupid woman that just needed to pay more than what I agreed to. I even caught the guy on the phone I was talking to to get this resolved lying to me about the original price. What a joke. NEVER use this service.!!!!!!
With every experience, including the most recent one, we have always been pleased with the quality of service we get whenever we call Terminix. The gentleman that often takes care of our place is cheerful and respectful, not to mention very good at his job. We actually look forward to his visits. In general, Terminix representatives, whether on the phone or in person, are courteous and respond quickly to any issue we have in a timely, professional, and positive manner. We frequently recommend Terminix to others because of these very qualities.

Well, rats. After too many rats, one of the super-courteous Terminix guys set traps . . . .but failed to put bait in the trap in the main problem-area! And, they set other trap boxes with bait but . . . didnt set the traps.Gee, I guess I shoulda checked that.We realized later that the major entry points for rats were never brought to our attention even though the very nice technicians were coming on schedule -- and BTW they are all very polite, courteous and respectful. I question the leadership of the business. Very disappointed.

Having owned homes for many years, I have learned the benefits of having a pest control company on a regular basis.When we first bought our current home, Kirk came to our door to introduce himself and welcome us to the neighborhood. He was very friendly and I held on to his contact info for a while.Our home was brand new and I wasnt sure if we were going to be using a service or not yet.After the first 30 days it was clear that I needed to give him a call.We have used Terminix for the past 10 years or so at this house and our other. We are very satisfied with the results. We have had to call them back only once in between services.Kirk is the best, makes it a point to check in with us when he comes.

TERRIBLE!!!! Scheduled an appointment for Sat 12/10 between 8-10am. As of now, still waiting for tech to call/show up. How is that customer service? I should of known when I initially called, and waited 20 mins just to have my call discounted. NEVER again will I use this company. If they cant keep an appointment, cant imagine the type of work they do. Thanks but no thanks!
They have a star because they wont let you post without at least one!I am extremely angry at these clowns! We reached out to them on Wednesday for a second opinion. We had already had Official Pest scheduled for Friday but we felt it is a good idea to have a second opinion and Terminix would have saved us a little money.We had an inspection scheduled with Terminix for 8:15 am, he showed up at 10:30. We were scheduled for 1:00 pm today and they call at 3:10 to reschedule for Monday afternoon. Totally inconsiderate and unprofessional, We have small children and 7 puppies that we moved around for this today so if you are thinking about using these people, DONT DO IT!!!

HORRIBLE PEOPLE HORRIBLE SERVICE HORRIBLE PRODUCT DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME! I am selling my house so I needed to get rid of some termites in a specific part of the house. I need a work order to prove that the work is done and I need to send it to my realtor as soon as possible. They completed the work and the tech said that a work order of proof that the work was completed would be sent in an email. The work order didnt come so I called their office.The people were polite, but they just shine me on and never clearly answer my questions. They never let you speak to a manager. They said that they had to check with their main district office to get the proof that the work was completed and it may take 24 hours. Really? The district office has to produce work orders for customers? That just doesnt make sense. I have to wait that long for something that should be produced to the customer as soon as the work is completed? Even a small local company would produce a work order on the spot.When I had Orkin do some work for me in the past, I would receive an invoice of work completed immediately right when I signed the form from the tech. This is very inconvenient as I am selling my house and need to send the work order of completion to my realtor ASAP. I am surprised that a national company like this would not have a system set up to get the work order to the customer by email as soon as the work is completed for my records.I should have gone with Orkin, it would have saved me so much time and energy. I feel like this is taking years off my life. So basically terminix is killing me along with the termites.
Absolute non-service! This company missed two service calls without notification. I waited three hours for one scheduled appointment and no one arrived, or returned my calls until after hours. Finally, got them out to fumigate for spiders. The spiders returned within one week after the service was performed. This is a very bad franchise.
